Bryan was amazing and very helpful. I brought my rental vehicle in for a nail in the tire. He performed a full tire inspection and realized that two tires were out of required specifications. Knowing that I would have to wait for the vehicle, due to having no other ride, he put a technician right to work on the vehicle replacing two tires. I was updated throughout the entire process and he made sure I was completely satisfied. Highly recommend this shop and Bryan for your auto tire repair needs.

They do not honor their appointments, I had an appointment today for 12:00 and when I walked in they gentleman said it would take about 4 hours! Instead of giving me a call giving me update on that it might take longer they just waited for me to walk in

They said I needed a headlight cleaning to pass inspection and quoted $130. Then charged me nearly $200 when I came to pick it up, a nearly 50% increase.Shady. Don’t accept a quote unless you have it in writing.

Unfortunately after I went into the store for a tire alignment they allowed me to leave without giving me a cool description of what was going on at my vehicle. It wasn’t until the next day that I realize my car was still hearing. When I came in to the shop the next day they told me that there was an issue with my tire and that I need to replace it.

Ordered tires from tirerack and had them shipped to this NTB. Called to see if I could drop my off at noon and pick it up by 5. I got a call around 230 saying it was ready. Dropping off and picking up was quick and easy. Would definitely use this location again.

Scheduled an appointment at this location to have four new tires mounted & balanced on February 17 online. Before arriving for my appointment, I had called to make sure the tires were in stock, Paul answered and assured that the tires were there. Appointment was at 9a, I arrived at 8:40a. Car was taken back immediately & I was out of there by 10:15a.My experience was great & in a few years when I need a new set, I know where Ill be taking my car. To be honest, I was skeptical about the reviews I saw online about this location. But, I think I was taken care of how I should have been. Thanks again, Paul!

Bait and switch don’t do business with these people.I had a confirmed quote, set the appointment up, went to drop the vehicle off and Brian added $200 to the quote. I asked him to call Paul the manager to confirm the quote that he gave me but he said he was in the hospital and not able to reach him. I had to leave the store.Brian was very disrespectful about his mechanics who were staying at home collecting unemployment instead of working and about corporate and how they won’t let him make his front office work overtime. Guy was a complete piece of work. I asked for the corporate number and he said he was going to call the cops on me. I told him to go for it.Don’t do business with these people.

Do not go here! Terrible customer service!!! I had an appointment today to get my tires mounted and balanced at 3pm that I made 2 days in advance! They told me on the phone 2 hours at most! Arrived there, and the woman working there asked me for my information 5 times in the span of 5 minutes and then had to make 4 separate trips to get my VIN, mileage, etc. Then she proceeded to tell me that my vehicle wouldn’t be done until 11 am the next day?! Then told me they were down to one mechanic which was the reason! Completely unorganized and a waste of my time! Luckily Mr. Tire down the street got me in and done within an hour and a half! Better luck there!

Had an appointment set up at 4pm today, showed up at 330 and was told my guy didnt feel well so you have to leave your vehicle and do it tomorrow.I drive from Salisbury Maryland and made an appointment to avoid this issue, he said we were just about to call you. I work in the customer service business and this is an absolute joke.A call earlier in the day or afternoon i could have possibly switched it and not left work earlier. Thanks for nothing.

They SAVED THE DAY...literally.My wife and I had a horrifying experience last weekend. On Saturday am my cars electrical system died on the Severn River Bridge with no real warning (other than one engine light blink on rt 50). Were able to coast to the exit ramp, barely. For safety, we had to exit the car and climb the jersey wall to safety on the hill beyond. We called a tow and called various places to fix it. Erica at the 2022 West Rd. location picked up on my wifes panic and calmly said...bring it in NOW. Well deal with it.. Upon arrival, she guided us to the nearest rental spot and we were able to keep heading to Easton. After diagnosis, it needed 8 hours of work on a gasket, alternator and battery. Problem was, best tech was off Sunday and Monday (fluke timing). Stuck with a rental til WED...we thought. On MONDAY, Erica called. all done. She had the tech come in on his day off to fix it and saved us an extra day in rental fees. Their prices are fair and their customer support and follow up is OUTSTANDING. Thank you Erica and the West Rd NTB Team. A disaster averted, and your help saved the weekend.

I actually brought my car to Merchants twice last week, for different reasons. The first time, I had a dead battery and brought my car in to have a new one installed. I also needed my windshield wiper blades replaced. I was in and out in 30 minutes!! The service was great and I loved not having to wait long, so I could be on my way. The second visit was 4 days later, when my car brakes were making a terrible noise while driving to work. I drove straight to Merchants in the hope that they might be able to look at it, even though I did not have an appointment. I was in luck and they immediately put my car on the lift and diagnosed the problem. I was able to leave my car there while I got a ride to work. It was ready in 2 hours and I was back on the road. This is my 3rd time taking my car to Merchants and I have always had great service there. Tony is very helpful and goes out of his way to make sure that the customer is satisfied. I hope I dont have any more car problems for a while, but when I do, I know Ill be going back to Merchants!

Tony and his technicians saved the day for me. I was traveling across multiple states to a family event without a lot of time to spare. Discovered a nail in the side wall of my tire. Many of the local tire repair places were closed because it was Sunday. I called about four places that were open and they all had a 2-3 hour wait. Luckily I got connected to this Merchants Tire by a recommendation from their sister store. Sure enough, when I called and spoke with Tony he said come on in and they would take care of me right away. After Tony and one of his technicians assessed the tire they explained my options to me. Tony was kind enough to then put two technicians on the job because he knew time was tight. All said and done I was in and out in less than 45 minutes!! They did a great job, and I believe the price was quite reasonable too. Cant thank them enough for going above and beyond to get me safely back on the road so quickly!!

Wow, Kevin went above and beyond for us today. We hit a pot hole, cut both tires on passenger side of vehicle. A couple of hours on the side of the road and we finally got towed to Merchants Tire. We ended up with one cracked rim. Kevin put some bead crack on the little crack, tested it, and believed we could get back to DC. He even offered to take the three of us home if necessary. Thank you Kevin for everything. I work for a tire Company in California, and Kevin you would fit right in to our most important company motto of Customer Service. Appreciate it. They need more training on EVERY LEVEL. Its a reall sad situation at this place. They caused over $1200 in damages to my cars suspension. You guys really messed my car up.

I woke up this morning with a flat tire. I called around and was given a lot of quotes that I could not afford. I called merchant tire, and Frank gave me a great quote. I made an appointment and came in to the store. When I got here, my appointment and the phone call had not been logged. Tony, the associate, told me he couldnt get me out of the store any where near the price I was quoted. I then spoke with Tony, the store manager, and he ended up giving me a quote that was still over what I had originally been quoted, but not by much. He also comped me a free oil change and installation services. I went from panic attack mode to being very appreciative very quickly.

Ive been using NTB and Merchants for my tires and brakes since the 80s. I started with the West St. shop in 2011 when I moved. I have purchased 20 tires for my vehicles and 3 brake jobs since that time. The employees are well trained and do excellent work. Their pricing is fair and frequently there are are great sales. Tires wear and puncture as we drive and I have had to get service in many other states These guys are almost everywhere and have saved my bacon many times.

I’m gonna presume understaffed. Tire blew out 1:15 ish. Dropped off 1:45 ish. Car was finished 6 pm. Read fine print of road hazard warranty. Tire was not repairable and had to be replaced. Out of pocket expenses still $75. 3 stars. Meets expectations.

Quick, easy and professional. I was taken in at the time of my appointment. Did personal work in waiting area.My car was finished early and checked out with discounts applied...no problem.I had a couple of questions and were answered right away.

I just visited the store today, I needed a simple oil change and windshield wipers. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and were willing to go the extra mile to help. I did not feel pressured into buying extra things that they found wrong with the vehicle. In fact a few of the discrepancies the mechanic found, he fixed on his own free of charge which would have cost upwards of $90, I will be going back to this store in the future. Great place

I live in VA. I got a flat tire on my way to PA and had to make an emergency stop . Not being far from business, I decided to limp to a tire shop. I first went to a shop a little down the road from NTB. I made it there a little before closing time. I inspected my tire and concluded it was a bad valve stem. Running low on daylight and needing to get to PA, I told them of my issue but they were not willing to help me. smh I googled searched and found NTB. I limped a few minutes up the road and arrived close to their closing time. They were willing to help! Spencer was the manager on site. I told him of my dilemma and he assured me he could get me back running. I knew it was close to closing time for them and they were finishing up another car. I offered to jack my own car up, take the wheel off so that they could just pop the new valve stem in...saving time. He told me to just wait in the waiting room. In no time, my car pulled up out front and I was on my way! Spencer and the lady mechanic didnt have to help at the end of day but they did. If Im ever in the area again, they will get my business. You cant beat that type of customer service! Especially in this day and age...

I took my car in because it started to run hot on my way to work. I live in Baltimore and work in Annapolis, feeling safer to get home I decided to take it here because its close to work. They said they checked the water pump and no issues, they changed the thermostat, well come Saturday on the way to work it starts running hot again. I took it to my mechanic in Baltimore it was the water pump. After I paid NTB $314.00 to change the thermostat my mechanic tells me its the water pump. He was appalled how much they chadged me to replace the thermostat. So I had to pay not only$314 but another$285 to fix the problem. I will never take my car here again. What a rip off!!!!!!

A while back I requested an appointment for synthetic oil change. When I came in the Manager Frank at the time said there was a problem with my request and had to be entered manually, no big deal. When he recreated my request he put in conventional and I realized the mistake after it had already been completed. He said come in again and the next one is on me. A few months went by and I came back but Frank no longer had worked there. The new manager Steve honored Franks previous proposal and helped me out. I appreciate all these guys do and its the only mechanic that I go to visit. Thanks guys for the great service over many years!

Cant rate higher than a 1 simply because they couldnt provide service. Needed a tire patched. Called in with truck info in the morning. Scheduled an appointment. Waited all day til my appointment only to be told they couldnt lift my truck with their equipment. I was told they needed a 20 ton lift to do the job. In 5 mins I looked up the weight of my truck,added in for tools,and added maximum weight for three 55 gal drums,which werent full,but in the event they were..total weight between 6100 and 7000 pounds. Thats a day I wont get back. If you need to go to ntb,and your not driving a Mazda Miata got to the one on defense highway,they have real equipment. Ill be heading there myself now.

Brought in my tires purchased elsewhere. I made a 1pm reservation. My truck wasnt on the lift until 1:45pm. It is now 3:30pm and my truck is still on the lift. I walked around back just now to see if there was much happening and I am not encouraged. Others here seemed to be less than impressed as well.I came here because they were close to my house and they helped my wife the other day free of charge when her cell phone fell behind the middle compartment of the dash.I would not come here again.Nice waiting area though...

Brittany Bristow was very helpful and informative. She knew the answer to all of my questions, not only about the deals on the tires but the tire sensor I had to replace, warranty information and oil change prices and packages. I will definatly be back.

Just after the first of the year 2016 my girlfriend needed to get new tires. They had the lowest price in town for the four tires we needed and got us in and out same day. George the mechanic and the manager (I forget his name) were both awesome and super helpful along the way. After the tires were installed George mentioned that her rear struts needed to be replaced and gave us a general timeline. Not pushy at all about trying to up-sell any other services or even the struts.My heat in my car isnt working and gave them a call (literally maybe 5 mins ago) George answered again and gave me a few different routes to take BEFORE having to bring my car in as a last resort.Im extremely impressed and will absolutely bring my business back to them whenever the time may be.

I have been a customer of Merchants for 10+ years and have purchased over 4 sets of tires from the Annapolis location. On 1-22-2018 I purchased a new tire for my 2016 Honda Accord. On 3-11-2017 I noticed that the tire was coming apart. On 3-12-2018 I went back to Merchants and explained to them the Manager that the tire was defective. The Manager (Tony Gale) was not helpful and told me that I should have purchased the tire hazard insurance and said there was nothing that he could do. I would not recommenced using this establishment because of its declining customer service. There are to many other places to go to around town and will not be using Merchants for anything. They have lost a long time customer and its has been a learning experience to me.Please steer clear of this place and read the reviews!!!!!!

Worst service ever. Couldnt even get to the point to purchase a tire. Twice called and had an appointment for tires with their service manager (Paul) who recommended the tire and assured me they would be ordered and available by the time of the appointment. Both times showed up for the appointment, no tires. The second time Paul says they are a bad tire even though we specifically asked the quality (Crosswinds - apparently a Merchant produced tire). Need less to say we walked out of there with no tires. Wouldnt recommend this store.

I had a great experience at the Merchants Tire on West Street. I would recommend them to any friend that wants tires. I dont understand the 2.7 review here. They definitely dont deserve a 2.7

I had the horrendous nightmare of a tire mounting and balance at this NTB. At 2 hours and 45 minutes from start of install, the worker came up and notified me that the wrong tires were mounted on my vehicle. They rectified it and now it was 3.5 hours at the shop when al work was completed. Their compensation was no charge for disposal and the TPMS on all tires. They were supposed to do alignment check but couldn’t due to time and gave me a $25 off for future visits. You cannot pay me enough to go back to this shop!

I am not sure what store some of the previous reviewer went to but their negative reviews do not reflect the service and quality of work found at the West St Annapolis Merchant Tire store. I have been a customer of theirs for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. They are friendly and alway provide the exact service they promise on time. On my last visit I would like to commend Bruce Whittington who is the service manager for promptly dealing with my issues, keeping me informed of the progress of the work and insuring it was completed the same day. I cant say enough good things about this operation.

I took advantage of the buy 2 get 2 free deal for both our vehicles. You have to but the maintenance plan, but its a good deal. One year alignment included, lifetime rotate, lifetime balance, lifetime flat repair, road protection.

Horrible experience. Needed a 4 tire rotation and a handful of lug nuts. Estimated time was an hour and a half and cost 20 dollars for the rotation. Told the rep, if the lug nuts are more than 3 bucks to call me *he had to order lug nuts*. Showed up 2 hrs later. Vehicle didnt even move from the spot I originality parked it in. The representative gave me attitude when I said I want my vehicle back. Saying it hasnt even been an hour and a half. Checked his records and it was 2hrs... The lug nuts they ordered were 6.50each. I told him thats not what I agreed on. Horrible experience. Manager wouldnt even apologize.

Today I called this location to confirm they had the specific run flat tire that i needed for my car. (Per the other location that recommended me to go to the west street location). When i called, A man but the name of Paul answered the phone and immediately told me they didn’t have it and they don’t carry those tires in stock. I explained to him that the other location told me that they did in-fact have the tire. He put me on hold....a few seconds later he asks me for the specifics and put me on hold again...only to return to the call to tell me he DID have the tire, they actually had 3. I proceeded to ask him if they were busy right now and if i could come get it fixed. He said no no we aren’t busy you can come now. So i said okay I’m on my way....twenty minutes later...i show up and walk into the NTB West Street location and see Paul the person i talked to on the phone. Explained that i just spoke to him and i was here to get my tire fixed. He said i can’t do it today, you will have to come back tomorrow after 12pm. I was like?? I just talked to you and you said I could come. He proceeds to ask me about the tire and to see my warranty paperwork. Went outside walked around my car checked some numbers on the tire and then came back inside, said it was going to be $75 but he can’t do it today i have to come back tomorrow. (Not sure why he would put me through all of that if he was still going to make me come another day after driving all the way there.) I said okay, got my paperwork back and got in my car. Before pulling off I called the store again and asked for the corporate number, of course Paul answered the phone and put me on hold. When he came back i asked for the corporate number again and he asked me if i was the owner of the 18’ that just walked out I said yes. He said do you want the number to corporate or do you want to get your tire fixed. If you want your tire fixed just come back in here now. At this point i felt so uncomfortable with this entire situation that i didn’t even trust Paul or his associates to replace my tire safely. As a young woman I felt very disrespected and unsafe with this situation. I am not sure if this is how things are done at the west street Annapolis ntb or if this is just how ntb values are set but this was very disappointing. I wonder if i was Paul’s daughter if he would’ve treated me this way. Needless to say, i will not be returning to this location ever again and i do not recommend anyone else going—especially if you are a young woman. I am sad and disappointed in the service i received today—well lack there of. I called another location and they gave me the number to corporate in 2 seconds. Lesson learned. I called the original ntb location where i purchased my tire, the rep was very kind, looked up my file didn’t give me a run around and set me up for an appointment. Beware of this location please.

Chose Merchant for my new tires because of Brittany, who is very service oriented. Had some problems with installation that had to be rescheduled,, but Brittany and Paul have done everything possible to make things right, which I appreciate and makes up for the inconvenience I experienced.

Ordered 2 front tires on Tuesday over the phone offered to pay for them in full salesperson said no need set appointment for Sunday morning. Day of appointment went in tires are apparently not there guy at counter didnt look just went to computer and said we cant get that tire. Said tire is on merchants website he then said you need to order it on website then come in yet website directs you to store which is what I did. Then he tells me even if he had my tires he wouldnt install them because you cant change just 2 tires on an AWD car yet the person who answered the phone knew what car I was putting these on and I asked him if they would have a problem installing them since I currently have run flats and it was only 2 tires and that I would do the rears next month he said it wouldnt be an issue. I have had this done on other AWD cars by ntb merchants before. My manufacture says tires need to be within 5 % size new on I did the rollout calculations and would be within 2%.I did all my homework to make sure I was ordering and doing everything that would work right for me and my car and merchants apparently doesnt want to sell me $1400 worth of tires for my car by rude incompetent service.

Pretty disappointed. Ordered tires on-line, set up appointment. Arrived on time to get new tires and they didnt have them in stock. They tried to sell me something else. Its pretty easy stuff to match an order with inventory.Its just tires folks.

I had been having issues with some valve on my truck causing it to continuosly overheat. I deduded to bringbit here to Merchants. I sat for 4 hrs and they were unable to get the part and told me they would have it in the next day.. well needles to say i came back the next fay when the part arrived. I sat for a few more hours while Tony worked so diligently on this stubborn part. All the while he came and continuously kept me updated. As i peeked thru the shop window i saw him and a few other guys trying to figure out exactly how to fix the issue. Finally he comes back and tells me i was finished. After the work was done i was more impressed with the cost. As being a female i didnt feel taken advantage off with jacked up prices and bamboozled with things that needed repair to up the costs.. WELL for this reason i went back for an oil change (courtesy) for the time i had spent in the shop. Tony greeted me with a warm smile and inquired about hoe my truck was running. I told him everytbing was well had i just drove it back from N.C. wellll a few fays later i was right back with another issue. It was taken care of in a timely fashion and i recieved phone calls to keep me updated on the status of my vehicle. Today i went to pick up my vehicle and was greeted by Frank who was very friendly and helpful. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I was treated more than fair and felt like an actual patron as just opposed to a customer. I will def return for all my vehicle needs and will highly reccomend them to everyone I know. I went to Merchats twice to get my tire filled before I finally made an appointment. They guys there were so helpful that I finally brought my car in, they were able to work with me on getting the lowest price possible and speaking as someone that hates paying for auto work- it was a great experience!

Made an appointment online for 4 SUV tires, went to my appt the next day and the front desk asked who I made an appointment with (ugh...here we go). Told him I made it online and he rolled his eyes in distress and I asked him if he had my appt, he told me that he only had one person on staff and that it would be 3 hours before they could get to it.....the current time was 5pm...they had my appt in the system but no one bothered looking to in the system to know I was even coming. I brushed it all off good spirited and asked him if I could just reschedule the next day and he relievedly said yes. Ok no problem...fast forward to the next day at 5pm when I walk in and he tells me he only has two people on staff and that it would be two hours before they could even get to my car....seriously...ok no problem cancel me out of the system I can spend my money with a team who understands customer convenience and customer service. Called Firestone from my car they said come on over right away and in 15 mins they had my car on the lift. Terrible. Would not recomend this Merchants Tire to my ex wife! they use telepathy for communication. Mine was not working to day!!! I called two days ahead to make sure that they knew I was coming and had the parts. They did not know I was coming in. Remember my telepathic powers were not working so I called them late in the afternoon, they had the car since 7.30 in the morning, and told me that they had done the oil change. Great what about the rest of the service... Silence.... we have not done it, guess there telapathic powers were not working either. Then they said they could not get the parts as there were not available. Funny they got the parts last time??? When I asked to speak to the store manager Mike McCormick I was told he was not in, ok when will he be in.... Another telepathic breakdown as the young gentleman said maybe next week I dont know!!! Hmmm I asked to sepak to the service mananger Mike. was taken in to the workshop where a hot a botherd Mike was not interested in my story and would not even say sorry or we will do better. At least they did honour my Military discount, but I did have to ask them 3 times for it.No recomendation of any other work that might needed to be done, guess I will just have to use my powers and use the force!!
