Lex provided inticate alterations to a very difficult dress and a fussy client. She listened to my needs and delivered. And she did not perform requests that could damage the dress or disappoint me. She also made last minute adjustments to make sure I was sstisfied with the fit.

Lex has been my seamstress for years. Her precision and attention to detail is impeccable. I dont worry if anything doesnt fit quite right because Lex can customize it. I wore a gown to a formal event. Someone else had on the same gown but I had to point it out to her because Lex had altered it so beautifully that it didnt look like the same dress!

Love Lex. Shes been doing my alterations for 18 years. I wouldnt trust anyone else. Davids bridal had sent me a size 12 and it was supposed to be a 2, Lex rebuilt the entire dress, absolutely amazing.

She sold me a custom silk gown in a size 2. I paid her in full. The dress arrived with tags that said made in China 100% polyester size 12 that she attempted to alter.I stopped back by to find a resolution. She was in complete denial. Unfortunately the dress was several thousand dollars. I guess this is why brides go to wash DC and by and pay 10k+.This was a total nightmare. And sadly Marys in Annapolis by the mall is just as bad. I am not sure where you go for quality???

Ive known and used Lex for over 15 years. Recently she altered for $1600 a wedding dress. She paid no attention to deadlines, set fitting appointments, details about the dress, matching thread to the dress. She put a white zipper in a champagne dress. The zipper was so cheap, it broke two days before the wedding. The head of the zipper fell right off the dress. Unfortunately this was a destination wedding and it was too far away for Lex to fix. Talk about a nightmare. Additionally, Lex did not tell the bride that the alterations will cost $1600 until AFTER she had cut and marked the dress! The bride had not choice. But for that kind of money for alterations only, I would expect more. I would recommend your local dry cleaners over Lex. Sorry, Lex, but you really let us down. People need to know that your quality reputation no longer exists. Wedding days are big days, once in a lifetime event, every Bride deserves to get it right.

I knew going in that I would have to be careful working with Lex and I was right. Day of wedding dresses had to be cleaned, alterations were not complete. More or less the job was half assed all the way. Called after the wedding to calmly talk to her about the problems and she says Im just blaming her for problems, it was my fault for not getting things right and she wouldnt refund some money that were paid for alterations not completed. Perfectly happy to talk to me until she finds out there was a problem and then she was busy and hung up the phone. Very unprofessional and its kinda heartbreaking when someone uses one the biggest days for you and treats it like its crap and takes the money and runs. Very sad.
