I went through Capital Custom to rent suits for my entire set of groomsmen. I also was in a wedding a few years ago where we purchased custom suits. Both times were great experiences!Brett, Angie, and Briana are each wonderful to work with. It might be marginally more expensive to rent through them compared to some of the leading suit rental sites, but the process and customer experience with CC is much better and totally worth it. From start to finish, they were responsive and helpful. Plus, they are conveniently located in the heart of Annapolis and are flexible to meet needs.I would highly recommend them for anything related to weddings and for formal wear or custom suits needs.

I shopped for a wedding tux for weeks at department stores, but I couldn’t find a suit that had everything I wanted. I was apprehensive about the cost of going the custom route, but at Capital Custom Clothiers the price ended up being within my budget and right in line with what I was seeing for a nice off-the-rack suit elsewhere. The process with Brett and Angie was incredibly smooth and easy, and the final product was gorgeous.A year later, when all my friends were getting married, I went back for a suit made to the same measurements as before. I had gained a few pounds, and Brett knew, by eye, how to adjust the fit practically without even measuring me. The second suit came out great in the end as well; I’ll definitely be coming back when I need a third.

I recently had a custom tux made by Capital Custom Clothiers (CCC) for my daughters wedding. The tux looks great, fits like a glove and feels very comfortable. CCC does a very professional and personal job in fitting, customizing, and making the tux. The tux was completed ahead of schedule. The whole experience was delightful.

My son was in the wedding party and they did a virtual fitting that I was skeptical about but the suit fit perfectly when it arrived at our house in NY. This place is an absolute gem — I just can’t say enough good things about it. It’s beautiful and inviting, the work is excellent quality, and I’m so pleased to have found a great tailoring shop in town.I brought in a pair of suit pants I needed to have tailored for an upcoming wedding. I had had to purchase the pants with a waist about 3” too large due to availability. When I got to the shop, I put on the pants and talked with Brett about the alterations I’d like done. It was very much a conversation about not only what the pants needed in order to be wearable, but about how I wanted them to fit and fall to suit my own personal taste as well. Fast forward a week, I set an appointment to pick up the pants, and they fit exactly as I hoped they would. I was in and out in 5 minutes.I’ll absolutely be coming here for all my tailoring needs in future. Total pleasure to work with, and walking into the shop truly does feel like a tailor-made experience.They’ve also done a great job with pandemic precautions — appointments and masks required, temperature taken upon entry. No qualms about being in the shop.

It is difficult to find a uniform that is made for Women in the Fire Service that fits well and looks good as well as feels good when you wear it. They not only did that, they worked with me on the design, made recommendations and helped me with every aspect of creating this uniform. This was my first time ever going to a tailor, and I had an excellent experience. I originally went in to get two shirts altered, but after trying to salvage them we determined it would be best to simply get a new shirt that actually fits. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and you get what you pay for. Capital Custom Clothiers are experts at alterations who take their time to ensure perfection. Capital Custom Clothiers took their time, effort, and energy to professionally alter a new sports coat I bought at a fair price. I’ve never owned a sports coat that felt as natural as the one I do now (post alterations of course). Any and all future alterations for my cloths - both civilian and military uniforms - will be done here.

I went to Capital Custom Clothiers to have a coat altered because it wasn’t fitting me quite right and I didn’t like the way it looked on me (I didn’t actually know what was wrong with the fit, though). They quickly determined that the issue was the length of the sleeves, and had the coat perfectly altered within a week. Now I love the coat. I will definitely be back!

Where do I begin? I guess to say that I dont write reviews, good or bad, though I should. I called Capital Custom Clothiers on a Thursday afternoon two days prior to a Saturday evening wedding that weekend. I called one other company in town also, answering machine, good thing. I live in NJ, so stopping by wasnt an option. Spoke with a gentleman named Brett, explained that I had learned earlier in the day that the wedding was black tie optional and if possible, wanted to represent. He never hesitated, asked me when I would be in town to pick it up (not til Saturday AM), asked me the basics of what I needed, directed me to the fitting app, I forwarded a couple of photos, exchanged a couple of texts later. Done. Not quite! Get there Saturday morning for my 8:30 am appointment, knocked on the door, there was Brett (who never identified himself as the owner by the way), got me suited up, perfect fit, magnificent tuxedo (I never saw it prior). Then the small talk, lovely family man, beautiful shop, nice products, excellent tailor. Going to be a busy day? Turns out, store was closed for the day!! Why are you closed I ask? Its Saturday! Well, he says, today is our 35th wedding anniversary, promised myself to my wife for the day but you sounded like you were in a bind and I wanted to help. Really all I have to say, other than, after 30 minutes with Brett, felt like I was visiting with a life long friend. Also, recommended a great coffee shop 1/2 block away. My next suit, will be tailor-made and it will be tailor-made by Capital Custom Clothiers. Pleased to have met you Brett. Thanks for your help!

I decided to try Capital Custom Clothiers after seeing the work they did for my Son’s wedding. This was my first experience with custom clothes and needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. The shop is tucked neatly in Old Town Annapolis and the staff is great to work with. Being one who is finicky about how clothes fit, Brett did an excellent job with the slacks I bought. Have been there several times to purchase custom pants and have not been disappointed. Excellent choices of materials to choose from and quick turnaround. As a young professional, I started off getting my suits at Nordstroms or Mens Warehouse. Not to discredit them, but once you get a tailored suit/jacket there is nothing like it! This isnt a review about custom suits but this particular shop on Maryland Avenue, Annapolis. There nothing more cool than walking into an old school tailor and being greeted by your name and he knows everything about your style! Better quality/service and the prices are comparable to what you pay in the big stores. Its a must for professional living in Annapolis.
