Awesome attention! Way better assistance at Menards than Home Depot or Lowes!!!! You can find someone within a short distance and do not need to run around to find help. Plus the bonus is that the are very knowledgeable! Something Home Depot seems to lack.

Although we are in the height of a pandemic and there is a posted statewide mandate to wear a mask indoors, many shoppers were without masks. All employees had them on. Come on people! Try caring about others!

David in hardware, tools was very helpful. He took the time to find something while I was on the phone and than put off to the side until I was able to pick it up.

Typical Menards selection, below average customer service, even by Menards standards. We called ahead to make sure there was an item in stock. We ordered online and went to pick it up since we were assure the item was in stock. We went to the store and were told the item was back ordered. We were then run around in circles until a rude woman came and asked if we wanted to walk across the store again to get a refund or if I would like to wait in my car. I chose to wait. And it took 25 minutes before I came in to ask where my receipt was and why I was waiting. I was met with more excuses and more attitude. Ive never had a good customer service experience here and havent shopped here for over a year. I decided to give them another chance. My mistake.For the record, not one apology was ever offered. They legitimately dont care.

Great selection of live plants, bushes, trees, and flowers right now. Only enter through the main doors. Garden center had no entry/exit or check outs. Entire process was smooth. All employees were making some effort to keep a face covering. Even the lady with the hand towel looped over a string tied to her face. Extra points for effort and style! Always a good experience at menards.

Why does anyone shop here ? I went there today to purchase a few items that I needed ASAP because I was on my last day moving out of my house and was in a giant rush to get everything done. 18 cash registers but only 2 open and both with long lines. After waiting 15 minutes in line to purchase $10 worth of stuff I go to use Apple Pay and it’s not working. I’m asking the guy do there old, junky credit card machines take Apple Pay ? He’s just looking at me in confusion saying I don’t know until I finally ask him to FIND OUT ! Some other employee shows up and says no we don’t accept Apple Pay and we cant type in your card either. I eventually give up with her and talk to another lady employee and she is telling me the same thing. I plead with her saying I can’t find my card, I am hours before I have to move out of my house I need this product immediately. Same song and dance with that employee. I head back home to grab an actual debit card and go to the menards in fox lake. They are out of stock on 2 out of the three items I needed. On my way to menards I made 4 different stops all of which accepted Apple Pay and one place even typed in my card manually. This place seriously sucks, Home Depot is so much better in every single way so I will only continue to shop there. Also there 11% rebate on everything is a scam and impossible to ever use

Have been extremely disappointed in the customer service at this Menards. We used to give them all of our business. This past year we have had MANY bad customer service experiences here.1 - Wanted to order a screen door at the she special order desk - the customer service gentleman actually told me I should order it on-line because he would be doing the same thing that I could do myself. I am literally standing in your store at the special order desk.2 - The door came in wrong - we had to pay restocking fee for one that was wrong3 - Went in to order vanity - walked around for awhile before finding a person to help - they did not appear to appreciate being interrupted from conversation with co-worker. After checking the computer - was told no, we dont have any and no other Menards has it. I said - what does that mean - can we still order? Was told - you could try....We have taken our business to Home Depot.

One of my favorite stores when I visit northern Ill. Different than Lowes or Home Depot, friendly staff and unique items, wish we had Menards in NC.

I dont typically complain but my experience with this store was disappointing. I feel I was given the run around, not herd, made felt like I was a liar, lied to and handed nothing but broken commitments and sarcasm. Note: I deleted my original review (rant)in hopes people take this seriously. Dont make special orders with this store...or deal with the c.s. as its clear you (the customer) does not matter. This was only a $10,000 order but have spent over $20,00 in the past 3 months at this location. Sadly I looked forward to my Menards runs on Saturday mornings to this location religiously. I still love menards but I will be going to the Kenosha location and driving a bit further, in hopes that they can meet my extremely low standards of common respect and appreciation for one another.

Horrible, people dont know the product there selling. buy a menards kit, but doesnt come complete. have to go to lumber yard then back into store. to get everything, they wont pull order, wont take payment over phone. 1.5 hrs at store to get everyhing I needed. Menards has become a wallmart, not contractor friendly. Wont be back.

I had a great experience while shopping there on the 23rd of december. All of the employees were very attentive and the customer service employee went over and beyond getting me duplicate gift receipts.

They have everything and most of the time the person at the register will put my things in a bag for me. For me thats super nice!

Menards matched pricing on maytag washer for us with no problem after verifying price from other competitor.the sales person who help was very helpful and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Menards is difficult to rate. On the one had, they often have better selection and lower prices for much their stuff than the competition. However, many items are of lower quality, going in and out of the store is much more difficult, frequently the staff is not as knowledgeable. In other words, if I know what I need, I go there. But if I am going to help or the quality, I will always drive the extra to Lowes or Home Depot.

Store is well stocked. Floor staff are very friendly and helpful. I needed help finding glider bench and person walked me to where they were located and when I said thats what I wanted she said Ill go get a cart for you. So nice not to have to look for one.

An OK experience at this Menards in Antioch, Illinois. Can never find help in the department when need someone, have to go looking for someone.

If you use a Menards rebate card to pay for your items and give some cash they will not refund cash if you return something because you used a rebate card they will give you a store credit Menards hangs on to its money like a eagle hangs on to a fish it snatches out of the lake all their prices have skyrocketed unnecessarily unfortunately theres no other place to shop so youre at their Mercy as they say the rich get rich the poor get poorer

If you prefer service that runs on sloth like speed and employees with lack of training where various items may be located throughout the store than this menards is for you. They must bus in people from the old folks home as they often cant remember where things are located and they forget where they even are. I witnessed an employee near the registers swear to his colleagues. I walked into their restroom and witnessed an ungodly sight, seems an atomic bomb went off. Not only in 1 stall but multiple. Went to tell the front desk and they laughed and said haha what else is there to do today.

There a great bunch of people working in hard times. The products are great and can sometimes be overwhelming. But I can be picky.

Pat, who assisted my wife and I, explained how to interpret the pricing of the bathroom vanity and then helped with a standard drill.

Always a nice, clean, stocked store with great help. A big shout out to Bill, the carry-out guy, who somehow managed to drive and catch me at the Culvers drive-thru line to let me know I had forgotten my flower planter at the cash register! Now THATS customer service!

Staff didnt seem very interested in helping me find items and werent knowledgeable about the locations. The very 1st person I asked, near the entrance, gave me directions to the back of the store. I couldnt find the items there and asked someone in that area where the items might be. They directed me to the front of the store where I found one of the items. I finally found a manger looking person and he directed me to the exact aisle of the other item where I located the lock I needed. The walk to the rear of the store was a waste since both items were in the front near the checkout area. While I dont expect every employee to know where everything is, I do expect them to be able to call on the radio or find some other way to get the answer. Dont send me on a wild goose chase.

We found what we were looking for except blades for a specific job. Unfortunately, there was no employee to help.

Found what I needed

They need to use more salt in the parking lot, had to fight several snowmen to return my cart. I also found out the hard way that the display toilet is not functional.

I rented an insulation blower for 4 hours. Every time I flipped the remote switch the breaker on the machine tripped. On top of that, I only use one of the two sections of hose. When I went to return the machine thefront end manager looked in the machine and said I still had insulation in it that had to be cleaned out. I obliged and cleaned out the insulation. She then inspected every component and opened the can that contained the hose I did not use. Inside she found water that smelled rancid along with a dirty hose that was covered in a different type of insulation than I had bought, which was obvious from what I cleaned out of the machine. She said I would have to pay a cleaning fee. I told her to pound sand. I asked to get the clerk who rented the machine and never opened the component when renting it to me. About ten minutes later, she returned with the store manager. They explained they were reviewing security footage to see if the component was inspected, which they determined it was not, so they were going to waive the cleaning fee, like they were doing me a favor. The front end manager didnt want to admit she was wrong and continue to argue the putrid smelling water and different insulation was my fault. The lack of customer service and common sense is inexcusable. Ill never rent anything else from this circus.

My daughter works there. I take her to work and pick her up and take her home, I dont go in.

Love this place. Repates have paid for sliding glass doors. You can buy almost everything including groceries and all have a repate...

I absolutely love Menards. From the different choice of special food items, to the beautiful garden selection at great prices.....Today I went with my husband to buy some wood for a job. He purchased what he needed then we went to the lumber yard to pick it up. Seemed pretty simple.No employee was around and the items we had already paid for were empty. We tracked down someone and they spent about 20 minutes moving pallets to find out they were out even though the inventory said different. Super long story short.... about 40 minutes later we had 1/2 the items we had purchased. Took another 20 minutes to get a refund on the items they were out of.Not really the employees fault for wrong inventory, but they could have tried to correct the error by substituting the items..... instead I called another store and had the employee physical check the stock. Which he did and I am thankful for him.Suggestion:call and have the employees check the item before you waste 2 hours of your life.I still love my Menards....but because of the bad service at Antioch I will go to other ones. Luckily I have options....

Im going to give Menards a slightly above average rating because the prices are reasonable and you can always find what you want when improving your home.

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst experience EVER! Not one out of 6 cashiers could perform a simple transaction with an order ticket. This resulted in over an hour spent going from desk to desk, and inside and outside to the yard multiple times to pick up a simple small fencing order, culminating in the usual treasure hunt for semi-decent lumber.Lesson learned; Home Depot from now on!

Huge selection in this store. They have a little bit of everything and more! The best part is that the prices are great, plus they are clean, organized, and the employees are pleasant.

Customer service isnt about talking to your co-workers about last night while the customer waits, its not about standing in the middle of an aisle and ignoring customers, its not about feeling annoyed because you have to get off your smart phone when someone asks for help, and it certainly isnt just saying have a nice day while watching someone struggle as they could use a hand with two shopping carts full of stuff they are pushing by themselves. My experience today stunk, I cant operate like that at my job or I would be fired. Here it seems like slacking off is ok and customers will return.. it doesnt work like that and management needs to do a better job on getting team members to focus on what matters most, customers.
