Stopped in and had the greatest experience Ive ever had at a Discount Tire. I had a flat tire caused by faulty connection between air pump and tire and came in for assistance the hour before close. The man behind behind counter Michael took care of every concern that I had, provided me 5 star customer service and took care of my bad situation. I had the tire already off the vehicle and left in their care. They took care of the tire replaced the stem and installed the tire back on. Michael was there to see me off. Knew my name without having to look at a screen and set me up by fixing my computer recognition of my tires left unfixed from my dealer doing a half done job. All in all my day went from heartbreak to saved. I will be returning to this location for my next tire service need. I picked up a nail in my tire and had the pleasure of stopping in to the Apple Valley store as I moved from Eagan. They took care of me super fast and well. While I waited I was able to witness how each and every employee, though busy, were very courteous, professional and hard working. Had a flat tire and they got me in and out in less than an hour. Everyone I spoke to from the front desk to the technician who swapped out my tires was incredibly kind, helpful and provided incredible customer service. I bought a tire for my UTV from Discount Tire Direct (Online). I made an appointment for 11:15Am. Showed up at 11:04. The inside Staff is VERY FRIENDLY and Helpful. However, I was early to my appointment as directed and I was still waiting for over 50 minutes to have a 5 minute job done. Please if you are reading this. DO not offer appointments if you have no intent on honoring them

Normally, it is hard for me to find the time to step out of busy life to write a review, usually. Discount tire has stepped out the way for me though! I brought my wheel in for a nuisance nail and they repaired the tire. OK, that’s what I was in for. Placing a new valve stem in the wheel complimentary to the repair was above and beyond my expectations(Yep, just had the eureka moment days later: new aluminum on my 10 year old vehicle!), especially happy with this because I had one other stem split at the threads on the same vehicle. I came here with a 5-year-old flat tire dreading that I would have to purchase a brand new one. The gentleman that helped me at discount tire told me that it did not actually need to be replaced - that they could repair it, and not only that but that he could also do it free of charge. I walked out with my tires rotated and pumped, and my tire fixed, all for $0. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Will come back to replace my tires in the very near future.

Appointment at 10:15 7/31/21 for tire rotation. Got there 10 min early as requested then had to wait another 30 min before they took car in. Job only took about 15 min. My issue is why should you have to wait that long when you setup appointment? Also,Tech told me they were finished but car was still on hoist and lug nuts needed tightening. I could see they were busy but it gave me an uneasy feeling when I saw everyone rushing to finish the job. Drove away hoping tires were secure and that the job was done right. Disappointing experience for sure.☹️

Cost me 475 for new tires. The other store that I normally go to would have been cheeper. But they did it fast and a good job.

I stopped in for air, and got an education on tires! Rafael told me things about my tires Id never learned in all my years! And a HELLUVA NICE guy too!!!

I always like that theyll take care of your tire after selling you a set. I am frustrated that their lead times/ wait times are so far off. Wasnt intending to spend my entire day off at the discount tire. No kidding, on hour five and car isnt in yet! Initial indication was three hours to complete. No water or coffee available is just makes it a tad more frustrating.

Long review but I enjoy being thorough so you can see the entire picture.Ill start off by saying I have never bought tires from a chain tire store but now that is all changed.I called Discount Tire the Friday before Easter and had them order tires for me. They showed up the next day (Saturday). I showed up early and they checked me in. When my tires arrived a few hours later they gave me a call to let me know. I went over and they IMMEDIATELY got my truck in even on short notice. Josh the Service Technician that worked on my truck is an absolute BEAST. He had my truck in and out in 40 mins. I paid my bill and took off on a 4 hour road trip back home for Easter. After a couple days with the new tires I was not impressed by them. (They were a brand new tire and I was the first person they had sold a set to so they had no knowledge of any issues with the tires). I did some research on another tire that had been around for a couple years and wanted to get those instead. I called them the following Friday (exactly 1 week after I initially ordered the first set of tires). I told them I was not happy with the tire and wanted to swap them out. They ordered the new tires I wanted with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! They arrived the same day and I went back the next day (Saturday). They got me right away (again), and Josh the original Service Technician from the week prior had my truck in and out in 40 mins. They did not charge me for remounting the new tires, just the difference in price between the original tires I bought and the new ones. I am a firm believer of customer service. I will go to a business that is more expensive in order to have a better customer experience. But with Discount Tire I got great prices and superior customer service. During our tire experience, everything was great. The store experience seemed awesome. We ended up having an issue that our mechanic advised us was an error made when our tires were replaced.We stopped into the store and showed the manager pictures. He took full accountability, apologized profusely, and told us he would use it as a training for his team. He even mentioned how dually trucks scare him. We left still feeling like this was a great experience, and super impressed with the great customer service. The manager submitted the claim to their claims department and it was denied. They are assuming zero responsibility.We called the store back on 09/22 and asked to speak with the manager. An assistant manager was available and said he would help us. We explained how the manager had assumed responsibility for the problem and now the claims department was denying it. He said he would discuss it with the manager and call us back. It’s 09/26 and we still have not received a call back.While the customer service in the beginning was great, pray you never have any problems caused by errors by discount tire staff.

Called early this afternoon to see if I could get in to get new winter tires installed on my car. No appointments were available but could do a walk- in. Luke was the tech that was able to get me into the system and come in at 5:45pm. Luke was able to find the winter tires by Blizzak for my car with everything that I requested to add on.Upon arrival, I got checked in and waited for my car. Within 40 minutes, my car was all done and ready to go. Luke talked with me and had another tech finish the payment. This experience of customer service was outstanding and the best I have ever had with Tires Discount. I usually go to the Eagan location, but I will return to this location for all my tire needs in the future. Thanks Luke for your great service from start to finish!!

I google searched  “Hunter (brand) road force wheel balance machine” and found the contact info for the “Hunter” brand, and emailed the local rep, who emailed me back on a Saturday morning with a partial list of shops in the Twin Cities who operated their “load bearing” wheel balancing machines. I was already 5+ calls into local tire shops and found two that verified they had this specific machine, 4 wheel balancing ranged from $59 to $89 plus tax. Some shops never even heard of the technology, or machine.I kept calling because I wanted to find a shop within 10-30 minutes from my home, and open on a Saturday.Discount Tire in Apple Valley MN’s Manager Dustin is a Stud! He verified they had the machine and “knew how to use it, too!” Dustin quoted me $10 per wheel plus tax. Dustin also took the time to ask me what my issue was in detail and then offered that I might need specialized Lug Nuts because the Lexus Studs were 12mm and the holes in my wheels were 14mm, and this could also be the reason why my wheels “suddenly” became even worse after installing a new CV Joint, Front Brake Rotors and Ceramic Pads—the front two wheels may not have been centered properly on the wheel studs. He’d “personally” check out my vehicle once the tires were off of it.Dustin then let me know that the new brake rotors/pads looked good, but I should upgrade the Lug Nuts with the specialized set that would “self-center” each wheel because of an extended “sleeve/collar” that would take up the 12-14mm gap. I said sure, as the total cost of Hunter Road Force Balancing and these new Lug Nuts was only $85 plus tax, and I wanted my “New-me” Lexus to ride smoothly again.When I picked my 2004 GX470 from Discount Tire, Dustin went into the shop and grabbed a standard lug nut and the Sleeved/Collared lug nuts he had installed—visually they totally made sense to me and I was excited to test drive my Lexus. Dustin also mentioned that my new front brakes seemed to be “on” the rotors all the time, and they were “grabby” compared to the rear brakes, possibly heating up the pads/rotors and told me to see if a brake shop could adjust them. I’ll follow up on this too.After paying, I eagerly drove my Lexus and tested the brakes and my vehicle at different speeds—no steering shake or shimmy! It felt even better than it did the day I test drove it prior to purchasing it! I am so relieved!I don’t know which service solved my shake/shimmy steering wheel and ride quality problems, but I am glad I did both as they were under $100 total. I am still going to have my Lexus get a four wheel alignment and it is at the alignment shop now.Thanks to Discount Tires and Manager Dustin for solving my issues with expertise and a great price!

The staff seems nice, but they cannot mount tires on these wheels without damaging them in some way. Multiple tool marks, chips, scratches, every time. This is the third time ive had them mount tires on them (not due to choice, had a blowout on a tire and certificates). I asked them to look into the leaking tire when I had them flip the tires on the wheels a month prior. obviously didnt get fixed. Ive had them mount tires on smaller wheels (16s) and there are no issues. Im just glad I havent gotten these powdercoated like I wanted to before I brought them here. Also for whatever reason they keep taking my metal valve caps off and replacing them with cheap plastic ones, or completely forgetting them.

I ran over a piece of metal on the highway which lodged in my tire. Luckily for me, I was only about a mile from Discount Tires and was able to coast right into the parking lot. I wasnt even out of my cart before someone was on their way to see how they could help. I explained that I needed to pick up my 6 year old son in 45 minutes, so I needed a new tire fast. The guys there were able to get me in right away and have me back on the road in less than 30 minutes!! And they were kind and friendly to boot! The great staff there made what could have been a disaster for me into merely in mild inconvenience. I cannot thank them enough.!

Ive been going to Discount Tire in Apple Valley for years. It is the only place I buy tires. I recommend them to my kids and everyone else. This past Monday I had scheduled an appointment after receiving a call the tires which were ordered were in. It took them less than 30 minutes to replace the two tires I needed. They will rotate and check the air in your tires for free. They are always friendly and professional. Thank you for your excellent way of doing business. It does matter.

Arrived at the location and there was a fairly long line. However, the line was processed quickly. Tires were balanced properly and employees were attentive to customer satisfaction. Very pleased with the service!

Great service and good prices. They didnt charge me extra for dismounting a tire from a rim so I could fix the rim. After hours trying to bend 2 bent rims for a new set of tires, found one was still too bent to hold air so I had to get a new rim, but found a new Corolla rim from them was only $65 when it was $100 at other places. If i knew that I wouldnt have spent hours trying fix a mangled rims.

Was helped by the manager and they seemed to have a pretty smooth operation despite everything going on with this covid mess. Seemed like customer care was a big focus. They were very speedy. Seemed efficiently ran. If they continue this kind of service in the future I will being all of my vehicles here for service.

Very happy with my experience with everyone at Discount Tire. Recently had an issue with some of the tires I bought. The tires themselves were getting cracks and due to the type of tire and the speeds I can get up to this was a major issue. Brought in my vehicle and showed the issue to the staff and was instantly taken care of. No attitude, just a simple test on the tires and a positive attitude towards me. For me, this store has been absolutely amazing. I dont post reviews for anything, but I felt I needed to because of the perfect service I received at Discount Tire in Apple Valley. This would be an amazing planet if all companies were like D.T.!!

My husband brought in our Audi with brand new tires on it for them to fix 1 tire that had 3 small staples in it.Some of them did not even puncture the rubber. These guys removed 2 of the staples and drilled 5 huge holes in the tire without our consent. The holes that they drilled were so huge that you could see the metal cords in the tire.They then said that the holes were to close together for them to fix it and that we would need 4 new tires on the car.A day later, we brought it to Piston Petes Automotive in Lakeville. They put 3 patches in the tire and filled the holes that Discount Tire had drilled in it. It has held air perfectly ever since. They also say that the tires are so new that it would not hurt it at all if we ended up needing to replace the 1 tire.Discount tire just wanted to try to destroy the tire and sell us 4 new tires.However, the tire would have never needed 3 patches if discount tire had not DRILLED HOLES in it!Id highly suggest going to a shop where the mechanics are skilled and know what they are doing. Well never let a pathetic tire shop like this one touch our vehicle or tires again.

I have dealt with the apple Valley store on and off for a few years and every time I come here, Im treated like is always the first time. Very attentive, friendly and extremely professional.Even when I have a problem with a tire that has no warranty anymore, ponture or small leak...whatever, they always take of me and a few times free of charge and with a smile. Who does that now a days??Today I came cause my tire got vandalized, slashed. The replacement tire was going to cost more that I really could spend, Justin and his team, helped me out by lowering the spend as much as possible. I ordered tires online through Discount Tire’s website that were discontinued. Discount Tire called me to inform me and ended up giving me tires that were a little higher in price for what I paid online. I dropped off my car for the appointment and they were done with install in 45 min. They were super friendly.

Never had a bad experience at a discount tire. You can get pretty cheap tires here depending on what youre looking for although new higher end tires are going to run at market price.. Making an appointment is super easy and the staff is great.
