Delicious lunch!!! We lived in the area 8 yrs ago and Copper Rock was a great coffee shop. My husband and I are in town for a few days, so decided to eat lunch here. Affordable and DELICIOUS! The sandwich was generous, the soup hot and everything from presentation and speed to table was excellent! Highly recommend stopping here for lunch.

I’m actually really upset after my last visit here, there’s one employee I’ve had a few times who is always rude, irritable, and this time was sarcastic and I think purposely messed up my order? I came through the drive through, got a panini, parked my car, took a few bites, and realized I didn’t want the rest of the sandwich because it was blackened and tasted like charcoal. So I go through and re order, the second sandwich came out completely cold, cheese unmelted, and veggies still cold, It was a hot pressed panini. As she handed me the new sandwich she smirked and started laughing as she turned around to the other employees behind her. So I called for a refunded and I she answered and explained and she just gave me a short, “ok, do you want us to heat it up.” I heard another employee having to tell her to apologize when I said no. Maybe it’s her first job and she’s been having really bad days every time I’ve been here, but still. Doesn’t feel good to be treated like that by anyone and I don’t think there’s an excuse for it. On the other hand, the College Ave location has always been exceptionally considerate, employees are mature, and the foods always great. This Ballard location is unfortunately closer to my house, but I won’t be coming back after this experience. Picture of second sandwich below.

I was passing through the area and saw this and decided to turn around and go back so that I could get a latte and possibly something to eat before I jumped on to Hwy 41. Staff was very cheerful when I drove up to the window to pay and hand me my latte. I was asked to pull up to wait for my egg sandwich. I waited about 5 minutes or so and when the gentleman brought it out to me he thanked me for waiting and informed me that he had put a scone in there for me too. My latte was great, the egg sandwich was piping hot and the unexpected scone was the best one I have ever had!!

Lots of variety of both hot and cold items. Full coffee bar service and plenty of seating both indoors and outside. A few gluten free options were also available which is much appreciated.

Very disappointing. They get your order wrong at least 1 in every 3 times going here. Today, they not only made the wrong drink after telling them our order twice but then came out to the car again to ask about clarifying the order a third time. I ordered a frappe with almond milk with no whip. Strongly encourage you to not order anything that could deviate from the menu even slightly.

Real friendly and nice staff. Wonderful and clean atmosphere. Coffee just okay. Kwik Trip Americano is better and less expensive.

Super cafe/coffee bar in a strip mall. Great drinks from coffee drinks of all types to smoothies. Delicious wraps, sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, to scrumptious baked goods! Tons of indoor seating, some outdoor seating as well, even a drive-thru!

One of my go-to cafes in the Appleton area. Staff are always friendly and make great drinks. Their food is also top notch.

I’m from New England and it’s hard to find a coffee shop that offers a turtle. So when I walked into Copper Rock I was pleasantly surprised to find a turtle on their menu. Great little coffee shop with friendly staff. And they make a great iced turtle!

Great coffee and sandwiches! Better than starbucks. Only complaint is that I ordered soup one time and it had a slimy film that had formed on the top, i dont think it was fresh.

Very inconsistent. Unfortunately, you never know what quality or taste of the drinks you’re going to get. Sometimes the frappes are watery or too thick, most times they are filled with ice chunks and unable to be drank with a straw. Food is good but if you ask to omit an item, they never do. (Ex: remove bacon from panini, bacon will still come on it) Location is the best thing about this place. I hope they can get more consistent and all trained the same because I really want to like it here!

Love how they have different takes on classic coffees! Not too expensive and a great, cozy environment to study or chat in.

Some of the best chai in the valley. Love the relaxed ambiance to come and get work done or catch up with friends. Great drive through option as well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking for a great cup of chai, coffee or other coffee drinks!

Never seen one person wipe tables off after customers left. I was there 20 minutesNot acceptable with these times. Many customers came in with no masks. Understand they come off to drink. Also restrooms anything but clean. Other businesses have much better cleaning practices

Best coffee in town by a long shot. I used to go to a different big name company. I will NEVER go there or anywhere else ever again. Copper Rock Coffee is amazing and if you havent tried it you are missing out. Great prices as well.

Love the Harvest Chai w/skim milk. Oh and pumpkin cream cheese swirl bread mmmmmm!! The most important part of this visit was when there was a minor hiccup in our order at the drive thru. The staff member at the window was pleasant and acknowledged the glitch and corrected it immediately. She was appropriately apologetic and came across as sincere. Excellent service and customer retention. Will definitely be back.

Every time I’ve stopped at Copper Rock for breakfast they’ve managed to screw up my order. Last week, I ordered at the window, by the time I arrived at the pickup window, they asked me what my order was & made me repeat my entire order. Today, I ordered a smoothie, a breakfast burrito & a muffin. They managed to forget the muffin the one item I ordered for myself. The lack of attention to detail & management is unfortunate. Get it together

Great local coffee shop. They have a great selection of food, which is very tasty, and great coffee. I remember their cold brew was pretty good. Also - GELATO. So yummy! The service is really good too. They are one of the few local coffee shops with a drive-thru which is so convenient. The place is big and has outdoor seating.

I absolutely love this café! Their drinks and food are so amazing! I got a panini, and it was easily the best one Ive ever had. My friend and I were served at our table by a very nice waiter, and our food was done in a reasonable time. The comfy couches and booths in this place are amazing for hanging out or studying. The decor is so unique, they even have photos and paintings by local artists for sale on display! I would most definitely recommend coming to this coffee shop! 10/10!

I love Copper Rock. They have excellent coffee and gelato. They sometimes have great sandwiches...new staff is a FAIL..came in physically to get two veginini paninis redone that were raw...regular staff was quick to acknowledge the mistake and instructed a remake ... The person training the new line cook glared at me aggressively for complaining. And no surprise the sandwhiches were still undercooked.Dump the girls with attitide and get better staff that actually want to work.

Good service. Dont seem to have reusable coffee mugs...even when I stay there for a while, my drink comes in a to-go mug. Wish they would be more green. Staff is very friendly. Summer time drink: salted caramel pistachio - delicious!! Mixed ages visit here - high school hang out, book clubs, independent studying, you name it.

I come up from Oshkosh at least once a month. Was there the other day and had the pot roast French onion soup. It was not what I expected as the description is not accurate. Having been the head cook of a cafe, sous chef at several three star restaurants, writing a menu is very important. I tried to offer constructive criticism to the manager, but he just offered up, Well we have always called it that.Listen you can call toast French toast, but if you dont soak it in egg or custard first you are going to make a lot of people angry. You can call a tomato and lettuce sandwich a BLT, but it is not. And without Gruyere cheese it is just onion soup, not French onion soup. The Gruyere adds saltiness and creaminess you dont get otherwise. Calling an item something it is not is called false advertising. And having constructive criticism utterly dismissed, dismisses my patronage of your establishment. Very poor management skills.

The Iced Chai tea is the best!!!I use to go to Starbucks and get their iced chia up until I found this place, and I haven’t been back to Starbucks!Wonderful staff, and amazing chia tea!

I love this place. My son has dietary restrictions and he was able to eat a fun dessert! Large for a cafe. Unique food that tastes great. It is a bit pricey but that is because of the quality.

I want to love this place. The coffee is great and the people are friendly. But they need to figure out a way to reliably take orders in the drive thru. It’s seriously about a 50-50 shot that I am getting what I ordered, and almost the same odds for being asked “what did you order again?” I need to do a better job of checking things as I get them, but this shouldn’t be so hard.

The staff are always super friendly and helpful. Coffee (and everything else Ive tried) is delicious, and the atmosphere is great! Love the couches when our running group meets there after an early run!

Slightly above average Americano. Atmosphere is what takes this place from a 3 star to a 4 star. Love to support small local businesses, so I’ll be back and hope the drink quality improves.

This was a great place to get a cup of coffee while staying in a nearby hotel. Most hotel coffee is not good, so I found this place when in need for some quality brew. I did not taste any of the food, but I highly recommend Copper Rock for their coffee.

This coffee shop is a little out of the way, but they are as great as their sister location downtown. Its very cozy, they had power outlets for my phone and laptop. The dining area had a number of guests talking, but it wasnt loud. Their wifi worked well also.Great food. Great beverages. Great atmosphere.

If you find yourself downtown, go here! Great brewed coffee and tea. Good local business that does much good for the community. Support them because they support us!!

The best for your coffee and the trimming

A fun coffee shop with a great atmosphere. One of the highlights: they make their own Gelato! Different flavors everyday, so if you see one that you want, make sure you grab it. I love their tea. If you stay to drink it instead of to-go, its served on a wooden tray with a beautiful glass teapot and a small pottery mug. The downtown location has a large room that is perfect for parties or gatherings, while the main room has a plethora of fun seating options, including some coffee seats right by the large front window: excellent for enjoying the downtown. The Copper Rock location north of town is a little quieter (unless you go when school is getting out). They both are good options if you need a coffee shop. My recommendation: check it out!

I always come back for the same thing every few months when I am in town and it is the Veggie Panini. The coffee was so good and we topped it off with a rhubarb scone. Check out their present ation for serving tea. This place is NUMMY.

I love Copper Rock, it’s been my go to place for iced coffee for a few years. I haven’t been there in a while so I decided to stop by with my boyfriend. Went through the drive thru and ordered an iced tuxedo mocha (I get this drink almost every time) and a pumpkin spice latte. Service was fast and friendly as usual. But, once we drove away and tried the coffee, we discovered both of ours were very bitter and not like usual. I’ve had the tuxedo mocha several times and it’s never tasted that bitter or different before. My boyfriend was also disappointed that his latte was more bitter than he expected. I’m not sure if this has to do with the coffee beans or the way it was prepared but we were both pretty disappointed and surprised.

Amateurs here can keep serving their high school crowd, my scone was hard as a rock, service was poor. This location is nowhere near as good as the one downtown. Wont be back.

This is my personal home away from home. Not only do they have wonderful coffee but they have a great food selection as well including a wonderful gluten free the selection. The staff is knowledgeable and personable!

This is the best coffee shop ever!! They have gelato in addition to sweets and frappes; its all very good :) the staff is friendly and agreeable. When I was there there was a tornado warning and all customers had to relocate to a safe area. This didnt faze the staff and they were just as friendly and helpful as theyd been when they got me my order. Would definitely recommend!

Easy to get to if you are traveling through Appleton. Coffee is very good, as is the décor. I broached the merits of espresso, so they made me a free pour-over to try. I bought a coffee cup, and they informed me that it comes free filled with coffee as part of the deal. I was falling asleep at the wheel when I arrived, but all the way home they couldnt shut me up.

Best coffee in this part of town, same pricing, menu, and service as the location downtown, but a little quieter and obviously much smaller.Something changed in 2017, general quality of drinks and food is not what it used to be. Food order comes out wrong half the time, not sure if it’s a change in management or the “good people” have left, but definitely some work to do compared to what it was.

Brewed coffee was marginal. Was told it was a 15 minute wait for a pour-over!?! Didn’t try any of the espresso drinks, but my son had the gelato and he enjoyed that.

I really just stopped in to stretch my legs while traveling and get coffee to stay awake. I was surprised by the best restaurant coffee I have had in years. The place is cute, and I regretted not having more time to sip the excellent brew from inside rather than while driving. I will stop here every time I drive through Appleton.

Stopped for gelato, didnt see any fruit flavors but suppose its wrong time of year. The rum espresso was very good and my wife enjoyed the lemon shortbread gelato as well. Nice atmosphere, will be going back.

We are so disappointed with this establishment. We went for a simple lunch on the weekend. There were at least four people working, but the place was DIRTY. Four tables had dirty dishes, crumbs, drinks left. The bathroom ... ick! Clean up or close it down!!

Home packer game.... sunday morning at 930am i was 4th in line for a simple coffee... waited 22 minutes in line to get my coffee. Please try to figure this out, more staff possibly??? I understand you serve food but the point of a drive thru is convenience and timing. I wasnt even offered money off of my drink or an apology for the wait. I would much rather spend my money on a small business as opposed to Starbucks... this made me question ever stopping again 😔

I had a turkey, mozzarella, broccoli quiche and double macchiato. The quiche was very good and the macchiato was a little bitter for my taste. The ambiance inside is nice and the staff was courteous and pleasant
