Really not happy with the service here. Suggestions: 1. Answer your phone with the name of who is speaking. It helps to know who I am talking to. 2. Provide a chair if you are going to have people looking at your stuff away from the counter. Forcing people to kneel or go home to see if the problem was resolved does not work. 3. If you are going to ring people up you need to do so within line of sight. Not behind a door that youve completely blocked with papers. 4. Just in general, even before you guys shut down, the customer service couldve been improved. However, you guys are really good with computers, even though I had to get all the way home to find out the problem was not resolved. 5. Just open the door to take the card. Or install a slot. 6. Try not to lose messages, having to wait an extra day because you lost my reply to your question was not great form.In response: you agreed that there was still a problem when I walked in and showed it to you, being dishonest about this is not becoming and I will not be doing business with you in the future. You did things to my computer after I brought it back and resolved the issue, so dont claim you didnt find anything. I didnt drive back down there just for fun, my computer was still broken! And I hope shes well! I wasnt bullying her, but putting the card thru the door was ridiculous. Losing my password and delaying service was forgivable but you shouldnt repeat it. I gave concise suggestions for how to improve your customer service, I hope you take them into account in the future.

The folks that work at simply Mac are so helpful and knowledgeable. They always fix whats off on my computer usually with the free consult. Last time it took about 20 minutes and they still didnt charge me.Had a printer that wasnt compatible with my MacBook and they fixed me up with a Canon which I love. Its great to have such a resource in our community.

Great service and friendly staff! I brought in my dead 2010 macbook pro that I thought would be scraped. Patti was very helpful and was able to fix my computer the same day! I will definitely be coming here for all my apple needs.

Returned a phone cord that had a warranty in 2017. Phone cord company went out of business and I forgot to pickup cord. Well...long story short new owners of Simply Macintosh honored return and someone hand delivered a new cord to my business. I want to thank them for being an amazing local company. I will continue to support.

Excellent customer service! Quick turn around! Outstanding work! Reasonable prices. These guys saved the day after my iPhone broke down two days before l needed to leave for vacation! Fixed the screen and the home button and added a new super tough glass protector! They got me in with zero notice and had my phone done in less than two hours.I couldn’t even get an appt with Apple store SR for 3 days, and getting anything done at Apple store without an appointment is impossible and even when you book an appointment you still have to wait in line!! Sooo annoying!Simply Macintosh was total pro and handled the situation with aplomb! No annoying lines, no awkward up-sell, genuine folks who really wanted to help me out, paid full attention and are REALLY good at what they do. I’ll be skipping the Apple store from now on! Simply Macintosh gets my business and 5 stars!

I made two visits to this store and was met with rudeness both times. The first day the girl was sweeping out front and I asked if they were open and was told she wouldnt be sweeping if they were open. Today I go to try again and end up with the same girl. All I needed was my battery changed in my iPhone and I was told they only charge for the labor because Apple would cover the cost of the battery due to bad batteries. The girl informed me that that was no longer the case that they charge for the battery as well as the repair service. I was frustrated with the news and instead of being supportive of the customer she yelled from the back of the store in front of other customers that batteries go bad in everything. My son has two Gameboys that he has has for over 10 years and they still recharge, and I dont expect Apple to put in batteries that last the life of your phone, since they stop supporting your phone way before it wears out anyway. When you sell phones for $1000. and up and than you have to pay each month to use that phone, the least you could do is show your customers some amount of kindness. I will stay away from Simply Mac. Dont think expecting a smile and kind words is asking too much. Why would you even put a rude person in charge of your customers?

I had an issue with my computer a few days ago and I went in to the shop worried that something major might be wrong. The young man who helped me was so pleasant and helpful! He immediately took my computer in back, made an adjustment and returned it to me, reassuring me that it was ready to go. When I prepared to pay him, he told me that the first five muntes were FREE. I was impressed. I always go there when I need something and I have never been disappointed.

This was a dream-come-true experience. I have a a macbook pro from 2013. I brought it here because it got stuck in booting up. After trying everything, all research for all things related online and talking to apple ppl for ever trying the same things again and again: after all that my last resort was to bring it to a pro person.SO i brought i to them and they figured it out in less than a day and recovered everything, and re-installed the software etc. whatever was wrong they fixed it super fast. Dont call apple - go to these people! Thank you

For your consideration: I had an issue with my apple I-Phone which bedeviled me for perhaps six months. Last week I happened to walk by and stopped in to see if the people at Simply Macintosh might be able to help me. Sure enough it took only two or three minutes for Neville to find the problem, fix it, and then explain it to me. And, then he did not charge me because, he said, it took such a small amount of time. I very much recommend Simply Macintosh on the Arcata Plaza.

Not malicious but incompetent. I brought a computer to fix 2 simple hardware issues. Neither of them got fixed. I brought it in to see about one of them and they said that they had no idea what was causing it and to fix it they would have to replace the whole screen. All they said that they did was clean out the interiors (which Im sure they did) but they charged 75$ to essentially diagnose and fix nothing.

I have had my Mac for almost five years now. Ive had a new hard-drive put on it. Ive gotten a new charger for it. My computer had started making a lot of noise and they took care of it by putting in the new hard-drive now I have a lot of space left. My laptop is still going strong. Simply Macintosh has always been able to help me. I would most definitely buy from them again. They are always so helpful.

This place is actually great. I spent 3 hours on the phone with Mac technical support, with two different technicians, at the end of which the techs were clueless and advised me to go to Simply Mac. Literally within 5 minutes of walking in the door they had fixed my problem, which had stumped 2 different Apple techs, and charged me nothing at all. Go here before calling tech support. Humboldt County customer/technical support is usually laughably awful, but this place is a true exception.

Incompetent customer service. Ordered a part, told them when I would be in town and have a window to fix it. Went in on that Friday and explained I needed my computer and couldn’t leave it there for 3-7 days. They said they will talk to the technician on Monday and see about expediting it (which I paid for) Instead on Monday they returned the part with the excuse that they were going to get stuck with paying the other half of the part. Why would they not just ask me to pay it? Why not work with the customer? They blamed it on Apple. Apple apparently is non business man friendly.

Okay so like straight up my computer battery was totally messing up on me, so i brought it in and dropped it off expecting the worst, but they were able to fix my computer in just a few hours !!! its working wonderfully again thanks to simply macintosh- thank you so much! :)

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO HERE!!! I REPEAT DO NOT EVER, EVER GO TO SIMPLY MACINTOSH. I brought my phone to Simply Mac because it was under warranty, my phone was new, with not a scratch on it. When I got my phone back the screen was broken into pieces and after further investigation someone had taken my screen and replaced it with a shattered broken screen. And it gets worse, when I called to speak with the manager, Jim, he made me feel as if this was my fault. He offered me nothing for a solution, except he wouldnt charge me the $25.00 fee, I had initially paid. He lied to me to cover for one of his extremely rude customers service respresentatives, and Jim, as a manager has absolutely no concept of customer service AT ALL!! NONE!!!! He lied and made me feel awful, as a customer, for being upset that someone at Simply Macintosh STOLE MY SCREEN OFF MY PHONE AND REPLACED IT WITH A SHATTERED PIECE OF JUNK AND COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY PROPERTY, MY PHONE, AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME WITH AN OH WELL, WHO CARES ATTITUDE!!! I was in awe of my treatment there, it was disgusting!! To top everything off, all my phone needed was a battery. So, that goes to show the incompetence level of Simply Macintosh, if they couldnt even solve a very simple problem such as that, WOW!!! I put one star because I had to, but they DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS!! So, spread the word like wild fire, STAY AWAY FROM SIMPLY MACINTOSH, unless you want your property destroyed, stolen and completely ruined. DO NOT GO TO SIMPLY MACINTOSH, THIS IS YOUR RED FLAG WARNING!! I truly wish I would have read Yelp reviews and other reviews before going to Simply Mac, because if I had been warned I would have my phone with a new battery instead of a shattered screen mess. Tell and warn your friends, Simply Macintosh is awful and filled with shady thieves.

They quote one price on the phone, then get there in person they hike the prices up. Of you have apple care, they still charge to fix something eventhough it is covered under your apple care insurance. They totally rip people off.

Extremely dissapointed! After calling to see about fixing an issue with my iPhone battery, I was told to come in to get the problem diagnosed and potentially fixed. When I stopped by that same afternoon, at the most 30 minutes after I called, the ONE single person who could actually do anything to solve the issue (a replacement battery was needed) had already left for the day two hours before closing. Same guy I talked to on the phone earlier told me to come back the next day as the ios tech would be working and able to fix it then. Came in, right at opening, only for the ios tech to tell me that they don’t do repairs on the weekend. Wth????? Huge waste of time! Do yourself a favor and go to iExperts for iPhone issues. Replaced my battery in 45 minutes, whereas the ios tech at simply mac claimed it would take hours of labor ($$) to do the same.

I came into the store and bought an iPod for Spotify not wanting to setup an Apple ID but needed it to download Apps. I yelled at the staff and threw the product on the counter because they sold me an iPod and I didnt know you had have an email address to download Apps. I walked out of the store and once I had a chance to smoke a cigarette realized it wasnt their fault. When I walked back into the store they still greeted me with respect. These people have a lot a patience and deserve to be praised for it. They have my respect for dealing with the publics attitudes while just trying to have a job to make money like the rest of us. Thanks.

Poor customer service, didnt communicate regarding repair status. They ended up sending it to apple for repair without telling me. Why did I bother taking it to them? I couldve sent it to apple myself, they didnt do anything, and they managed to do it poorly!
