This store has very poor service, customers are delayed without good reason. As you can see from attached pictures, the store is in a state of disrepair. I saw a roach on the floor, I wonder the last time it was throughly cleaned. Something needs to be done about this.

They have a large selection of African food items. Friendly staff. They need to seriously upgrade the following: the cleanliness and smell of the store. The aroma that hits you when you enter the store is not pleasant.Whenever I visit that store to purchase something, it takes me about 30 minutes to be able to pay for what I bought due to the long line of other customers waiting to pay.They need to seriously consider hiring more cashiers, and additional cash registers. That long waiting time is a turn off.

Love African food and people!! The flavors the cook with are unique and this store has a restaurant inside that serves good food. Was invited by friend and really enjoyed it..However, second time was different the staff didnt seem to care much. Didnt feel the happiness and warmth as the first time 😕. Anyway. Hopefully my next visit will be like the first. Happy and helpful people Happy to see you.

Thieves. They will take your money. I got scammed for almost $60 for the goods I never got due to network being down but the money got taken from my card..after going back and forth with the so called unprofessional manager I left with no goods and a $60 charged on my account..the employees and lazy and depressed..The managers have no managerial skills running a business..this place is dirty, the pepper was rotten.. i do not recommend this place..run.

My last three visits were good, if they continue this way I will make it my favorite African Store.

This is an excellent place for Nigerian (African) food and Supermarket. A favorite place for me and my family. They offer both cooked food and groceries.

This place gives you the feel of Africa. You can get any African food here. My favorite item is the designers stew. The Garland branch is my choice. The manger, the cashiers, all the staffs in their different departments are great. They will attend to you any time. They are really dedicated.

This is the largest grocery store Ive seen in the DFW area selling African foods, which allows them to have a larger variety than most places Ive visited. Whats also great is they have ready made dishes (both fresh in their restaurant and stocked in the freezer section). The fresh bread is great and so are the meat pies. My rating is low because of customer service, or lack there of. I may or may not go back - not sure.

Southwest needs to improve a lot on their customer service. Standing in line for 20 minutes to check out is not funny. The Garland branch employees are very hardworking but with the customer traffic they need to employ more hands. The irving store one time I visited had only 2 employees, the associate at the meats section was also working in the bakery, so we were just getting excused and I understand he had the bread in the oven and they will burn if he doesn’t excuse himself to go get them out and out of the pans as well. But all these are the expense of our scarce time. Southwest please do better.

The girl @ the register was so slow! I love the place but they need to work on their customer service.....and try not to train them to be quick.

Good range of African groceries meat and fish assortment but they have more footfall and use the lease numbers of workers possible. Be sure to be delayed for close to two hours.

I got a lot of cool food stuffs that I like. Felt like shopping in Nigeria. A bit pricey but expected due to shipping costs.They also have nice and tasty Nigerian dishes ready to go at the restaurant section. Very delicious treat😁The floors are always wet....its to keep extra clean though but watch your step.The staff are pretty nice except for the lady whos usually at the till. UNfriendly as can be. The waiting period at this place is too much. You wait and wait to be served and afterwards wait another long time to checkout because they always have all their checkout points not working but for ONLY ONE and they have refused to fix that. I wont recommend this store at all.

This place was a great place to shop before but I really cant saw whats going on here now. But I know some employees are so rude especially in the ones in the serving at the front counter in the kitchen department. Customer sercice is key. I had an excellent customer service experience with Terence yesterday.

Poor customer service. I drive from very far to buy fish there. I have complained about a man there who is very rude and unwelcoming. The manager does not seem to have taken the complaint seriously as they feel I am just one number in their numerous customers. Well its goodbye for me henceforth. I will not give my money to people who provide a nasty/ awful shopping experience when there are alternatives!! Such nonsense... We need to do better Nigerians...I always like to support Nigerian and black owned businesses but poor customer service is a NO for me.

Quality food variety and great personnel.

This place is disgustingly dirty. The refrigerator is a breeding ground for bacteria, amoeba and other algae. The meat area, not any different. Dirty, stained and gross water all over.It is horrific and shameful that health inspectors have not closed down this filthy place.

There is a particular woman that i have been seeing there she is very rude, everyone complains about her, she is one of the managers i think… please she should be cautioned because the next time i go there (the branch and North plano road) i will tell her the piece of my mind.

Used to be a great place for African grocery, but the quality has plummeted drastically. Recently bought rotten cow feet there, then just last week bought rotten dried Kota fish. Where are food inspectors hidding!!!

This store cares nothing about its customer. The staff are rude and dont care about giving good service. I wont want to spen my hard earned money at this store. I would rate it a zero if it were possible.

I bought a pack of isiewu from them for $15.49 plus tax. Got home. Pack was filled with BONES!!! The jaw, black teeth of the goat was in it (not healthy). I’m going to try and attach pictures to this review. Totally not worth the price.

This is an africa shop where you can get anything african food items, you can get agege bread, cooking african foods and others.

I dont know why they that kind of bumps in their lots as if the place is for some different kind of animals...Ive to different stores with bumps...this either from one of those inexperienced engineers or pure wickedness...just dont know why the management dont see that as a problem for their customers.

Great but not authentic. This is a great place for finding souvenirs to take home to your family, but if you want authentic Ugandan goods you’ll need to go to the villages outside the city. Many of the “African” goods are made in China. The African print fabrics come from Nigeria.

My first time visiting, they had everything I was looking for! The only thing that kept me from giving them a 5 star, was not enough cashiers or fast working cashiers. These were absolutely the slowest 2 cashiers working at any store Ive ever shopped!

This place needs to work on their check out counters... create more check out points.Secondly... the manager just stands there and look while he can help, checking out customers..., he just stands there watching his phone...Create a check out point for less than 5 items, (strictly 5)... use the POS at the bread stand...The place is jam packed at around 3pm-7pm... put more people on all check out.

A good place to get Afrucan food but have specific Old staff tg get have become too full of themselves and become Rude to Customers because of the assumed familiarity of being Nigerian..management needs to watch it..but overall its a good place to shop African foodstuff

This store is total trash and fraudulent. Was charged twice and went for a refund and I didn’t get my money back. Even the manager threatened to call the cops on me. Very bad customer service. TRASH

The meat department is not doing well in the way they cut meat for customers. They need to learn how to cut. I was greatly disappointed the way my Turkey and chicken was shredded.

This is one place I want to visit when coming from another state but customer service is bad especially bakery. The dark man making the bread is just too arrogant. Like if he doesn’t like the job he should find somewhere else. Also, I got here 11AM when bread was just getting in oven and he insisted arrogantly that it wont be ready until 1pm. First time hearing that since I been here. NEVER AGAIN.

My friend and I drove to this store today and it was a great shopping visit. This is the perfect place for you if you’re a Nigerian looking to get Nigerian groceries. It’s pretty close to the road and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance for the elderly and differently abled.
