My wife was verbally- and almost- physically assaulted after a man that was posted up at the front door (since 4am according to the store director) followed her inside and began screaming at her at the customer service booth. Several female employees intervened before he could take it to the physical level. He saw my wife, decided she’d be a good target and followed her in. He said that he would be waiting for her in the parking lot to kill her. Police were called. The man ran and was never found. I called Albertsons HQ and the receptionist, Robin, said there’s “nothing they can do. It’s a police issue.” Maybe start with security, preventative measures and quite possibly remove any loitering persons that have been there harassing employees and customers all day. I look forward to hearing from a higher up in the Albertson’s command chain after they read this review. The store is in Casa Linda shopping center in Dallas, TX.
Tom Thumb hires and facilitates situations where racial bias is prevalent . Youre store located at 2755 Collins in Arlington TX needs to be overhauled in terms of staff and should be diversified going forward. There have been too many encounters with unprofessional privileged individuals here and the area manager is so nonchalant his apology for his employees behavior did nothing. Tom Thumb surely you know that people of color are consumers as well and should be treated as such. After all we are Kings and Queens and dont you ever forget that.....
Many of the employees at store at Preston & Frankford in Dallas do not wear face masks. I was in the meat dept. Sunday; neither employee wore a mask. The supervisor (tall white guy) was rude when I asked him about the policy. I was going to complain at customer service, but the person there did not have one on, either. Ironically, all customers had masks on. I am 66 and have a heart condition. Very upsetting! Their blatant disregard for customer safety during the Pandemic is unacceptable.FYI, we have shopped at this store ONLY because it is convenient. We have shopped at this location for 21 years. The customer service is horrible. As an example, my wife and I have had interactions with that meat dept supervisor before; he is surly and acts like he is doing us a favor. Walmart has better customer service!
I witnessed a very unpleasant scene in the Tom Thumb store near White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX. It happened on May 28, 2020 while I was standing in the check out line. A customer wearing a mask commented on the fact that another shopper (woman with an infant) and her infant had no face mask on during this highly infectious virus crisis. A manager named Michael Esparaza (sp?) began railing on the customer who was wearing a mask, and he said nothing to the maskless woman. In fact the manager told the man in the mask that he couldnt come back to the store. It was unreal to see a manager verbally attack a man for doing nothing but asking a woman why she and her infant did wear masks. Several other customers were shocked to see how Esperanza treated this man. The man paid for his groceries and left. I will never shop at this Tom Thumb again. But, the bigger problem is that Albertsons (parent company) doesnt require customers to wear masks. Thats exactly what creates the problem. If Albertsons demanded masks, everyone would wear one and no conflicts would arise. Shame on you, Albertsons/Tom Thumb for endangering your customers and employees.
