Store probably has too many options, but it is a solid go-to for just about everything... Compliments Whole Foods and Trader Joes very nicely. Staff are awesome...

A bit small, overpriced, and often under stocked, this Harris Teeter location is pretty typical of the franchise. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional the staff are responsive to long lines and are constantly restocking staples. It’s gotten harder to find some things here since the pandemic began and it gets pretty crowded at times but I’m still generally happy to shop here.

This is my local store and I really want to like it but oh my god theyre always out of stuff that I buy all the time and I feel like I waste my time when I go there... Dont bother asking anyone for help everyone is too busy trying to not do work or will push you off onto other people who dont know anything and just want you to say okay nevermind so they can go back to their other jobs. I tried to ask after a couple items that seemingly have disappeared from their stock in the recent months and even with all of my patience, They didnt really seem interested in figuring out why things were out of stock or helping me figure out when they would be or helping me see if we could get it in stock in the future... I almost never use the cashier checkout because more often than not it takes three times as long than the self-checkout because the cashiers are not properly trained. Its really terrible because theres a Harris teeter near my familys house in another state that is seriously the most on point store Ive ever been to and yet it seems like all the Harris Teeters in Arlington county are abysmally kept up... But they do have some of the best deals and theyre the closest so I guess I just have to put up with it... The worst thing theyve done by far is get rid of all of the lettuce thats not in plastic... All they stock now is a wall of plastic boxed and bagged lettuce that just sits there all week and rots... Its marked up atrociously and all I want is one head of lettuce that isnt rotting. And I dont want to buy plastic wrapped vegetables. There are produce section is always in a terrible state and they cant seem to keep up with it except for maybe the first day when a truck comes in. But the lettuce thing is so fundamental to my shopping and so gross that I literally have to go to another store just for lettuce and that makes me less and less likely to come back to the store even if its convenient.

You can find what ever you need here they present discounted groceries every week affordable and very organized.

The produce is usually pretty solid.They usually have a free sample of bread from the bakery. Its nice to try out before buying whole loaves.The pharmacy and personal items are on the second floor. There is an elevator or a set of stairs to get up there.They have changed their hours to not be open 24/7 any more. Now they are open from 6am-midnight

In general a good store. I still have issues walking up and down the aisles without issues but ints been worse at other places. They have more of a selection of gluten free items including bread, crackers, pie crust, flour, oil etc. I didnt see as much lectin reduced items so youd have to manually avoid things like nightshades, peanuts, soy, cows milk, cheese, cashews etc. The place looked clean for the most part. Leaves are falling so in and out creates clutter at the entrance. There are lots of shopping carts, and hand carts. This store is in Ballston so it can have high traffic. This is a large harris tetter with a large selection

My go to grocery store. Not happy that they recently changed closing time from 11pm to 9pm, though

Very busy store. Well organized and great deals. Excellent service. Easy walk from Hilton Arlington, perhaps 5-7 mins. Walked there late in night and felt quite safe.

Very crowded Sunday, no social distancing, grumpy customer that leaves her cart to hold her place in line and makes a scene when its not there upon her return, sometimes creepy vibe from employees. Not customer friendly - toxic environment like so many retail stores nowadays. When you hire good people and protect and take care of them, it shows and vise versa. Close to where I live, but I dont shop here too much anymore. They have good sales, but otherwise its pretty expensive

Abundant inventory, great selection of healthy food. Only observation is that some of the fresh fish wasnt really that fresh, I found some Tilapia that was borderline, was in a pinch so bought it anyway. The Harris Teeter on Columbia Pike has a wider variety of fresh items.

It is a nice supermarket! Find a good variety of food! I just wish the fuel points could be used for something more than fuel for people who doesnt have a car.

The store is very clean. But staff is not crazy helpful or friendly, compared to Trader Joes. Its more like a Giant or Safeway. Priced are about the same as a Giant or Safeway. Produce and meat are very fresh.

Harris Teeter reminds me of a modern farmers supermarket. That’s my opinion. It’s like another supermarket but the prices are better. Sometimes they’re are deals like buy 1 get 1 free.

Good selection of organic items, not as good as Whole Foods, but getting much better. The place is clean and service is very good.

This is my neighborhood store. Its a two story Harris Teeter, with most of the personal items, greeting cards and beauty products on the second floor. Ive found that this store actually carries more products than many of the Safeway or Giant stores in the area. Their fish is always fresh, and if you get there around 9am, you can purchase bread that has just come out of the oven. Their florist area is small, but they carry some very nice arrangements. Their produce is my favorite with enough variety at very reasonable prices.

Surprising and super disappointing that these guys couldnt take any form of pay by phone. For such a big chain, they are falling way behind the times.

Well stocked grocery store. Staff is courteous. I really wish they’d do more to sanitize carts, baskets, and credit card readers. Cashiers wear gloves but don’t change them between customers so that is actually worse than just using hand sanitizer. They pack your bags for you so I wiped down my groceries when I got home.

Extensive grocery store, good vegetarian and wine selections. Great fresh bread (highly recommend the rosemary and olive oil) and daily sushi prepared on site. Yogurt section seems to run out of particular items frequently (the less expensive ones, unsurprisingly) and could use mite frequent stocking, but they have a lot of variety. It gets very crowded though and lines can be long. Sometimes I prefer going somewhere with less choice, but where you can get in and out easily.

While visiting the DC area with the family, we were looking for clever ways to save on whatever we could, as a vacation in our nations capital can get quite expensive, and quick. We decided to go to the grocery store closest to our hotel and pick up what we could to store in our hotel rooms refrigerator. While at this Harris Teeter, I noted the price of their subs was seven bucks for a foot-long -- not bad -- so we ordered some, splitting them up amongst the kids. They must have put about three pounds of meat on each sub. We couldnt even finish them and took the leftovers with us on our outing the next day. We came back a few times throughout the week of our stay for this enjoyable, healthy, and affordable meal.

The meatball sub that was made was one of the worse tasting meatball subs I think I ever had,not sure of what kind of meat but not good!

They do their best with the little space the have, it is a little tight and the entrance is a huge choke point, but it is pretty goos with covid. Lots of produce. Lots of meats

Starting In November 2020, the store has started to smell like there is bad or rotting meat somewhere. The bad meat smell permeates the store, and I really dont want to go their anymore. I am sure employees work very hard there, but something is really wrong when a grocery store smells so bad.

I have been shopping here since it opened. They have much better meat and produce then the other chains. It has a very good bakery, good seafood. It also has different products like good pimento cheese, corn meal, grits and other products with more southern origins from before the chain was sold to Kroger. Kudos to Kroger for not making big changes to the chain.

I only shop here when I have to grab something quick since its east to walk to. Otherwise, they are a bit on the pricey side and their produce and meat is not great quality compared to other grocery stores. Their cashiers however are always extremely friendly.

Ive not been to a Harris Teeter for about 4 years and even then it was the ones located down in North Carolina near the shoreline.This location was fine for what I needed. However, I was surprised to see that they had not implemented the micro-brew bar including the carts with the beer glass holders....for those that like to have a drink whilst shopping for grub. Im not sure that I was looking for the drinking-while-shopping experience...I just recall this as something they were trying to implement in NC in order to further distinguish themselves from places like Kroger and closer to Whole Foods.

Love this store. The produce is very fresh as are the meats. Great selection of ready made meals. Very good deals throughout the store. My only complaint is that there were no cashiers available when I went to check out so I had no choice but to use self check-out which I really dont like as it is not very user friendly at this store. Hence I gave four stars instead of five.

The pharmacist and technician who help us were very kind, helpful and friendly. My moms insurance didnt cover one of the prescriptions and they looked up for a coupon. Thank you for been so nice with my parents as customers

What in the world.They have massive variety of goods with fair prices. People are so friendly, nice always smile. The store is much clean and well stocked compare to other retail shop. They have massive collection. I stop here several time even though I live quite far away from here. I never been to Pharmacy yet, I bet they provide good service too.

The supermarket itself has everything you need; from light bulbs, dog food, and tampons, to organic veggies. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly and isnt rushing you out of the place. Their VIC program is worth signing up for and even gives rewards at the gas station (BP only though). Well lit, well organized, and spacious, the supermarket is a pleasure to shop in and has a parking lot to make it even more convenient. The only critique I can make is that its a little chilly in there (not unlike most supermarkets), so bring a sweater.

Not too big, not too small. Good produce selection. Free samples of bread and cheese on weekends. Bread baked in-house. Very busy on the weekends but not too bad earlier in the morning.

Could have better products and better prices

This is a fantastic full service grocery store. It has more selection and variety than smaller stores like Shirlington. Everyone here is courteous and helpful. The store is clean and things are easy to locate. The meat and produce is exceptional. Their fish section is also well kept. I am always happy with the price points as well. Things do not seem to be overly expensive and the store brand is of high quality. This is our favorite store of the Teeters locally.

I was looking for flaxseed that the Harris Teeter website said they had, but I asked three separate people who all sent me to three separate parts of the store and it was not anywhere to be found.

How was Harris Teeter you ask? Pretty ok. Besides the death trap of a parking lot and wine prices that will force you to tap into your home equity line, the sushi is decent, the people are friendly, and the beer is on sale sometimes. What more could you ask for in the beautiful neighborhood of Arlington?

Employees DO NOT CARE. I have voiced concerns to management. They said you do not have to shop here. Really? Is that the way we treat customers nowadays? I was actually really nice about it too. I think when you shop in a store such as Harris Teeter they should have a basic level of customer service. Deli department is horrible. Their subs use to be some of the best, now they put little meat on them. Produce department is lacking in fresh produce. Every time I go in I notice they have produce that is rotting on shelves. Every employee has an attitude with the exception of Linda in the self checkout. Linda is the greatest asset to this location, also the only reason I keep giving Harris Teeter chances. I really do not understand why their prices are so high. No registers are ever open. All around management is the poorest I have ever seen. Do not think I will be back after today, management probably thinks thats a good thing.

Prices are expensive, usually only go if I need something quick. I was able to get pasta for 50 cents though so they do have good deals! Watermelon there is also incredibly cheap at $3, but I cant Carry it back to the apartment.

Nice setup, good selection of produce. Meats are usually very fresh as well. The cashiers Ive encountered have typically been friendly, although there are several self check-out lanes available. This location is not as close to me, but it has been a pleasurable experience every time we have stopped by.

IMO the quality, selection & pricing of the produce of both Harris Teeters in Arlington is the best in town. I go out of my way to get my produce there, even though I live within walking distance of a different grocery store. I usually go to the HT in the Harrison St Shopping Center, even though the parking lot there gives me angina.

Exactly what you would expectMake sure to get a bonus savings card or you will be paying almost double per item.Luckily it only takes about 10 min. Right then and there.Free cookies for kids thats cool.Also cakes are of interesting and premium assortment i typically dont see in other places

I love Harris Teeter. They have a great variety of goods with decent prices. They also have really friendly staff who are willing to help you out when needed. Many of them know me and ask about my family. Always clean and comfortable to shop in. Harris Tetter is my preferred grocery store in the area.

Overall its a good food store with a nice selection of artisan bread, meats, veggies and fruits, as well as frozen, dairy, pet supplies, & beverages. There is also a pharmacy. I can generally find everything I need here. Free parking is available, too. Sometimes checkout is slow due to high volume of customers.

Very nice full service grocery store in Lee-Harrison Shopping Center in North Arlington. Well laid out, clean, well-stocked. Parking lot is often full, so try the underground garage.

The shoppers have great senses of humor & never fail to lift my spirits even on the days when Im in bad pain.>>> PHARMACY: Only 1 word to describe the staff...FANTASTIC! The pharmacists always greets me by name. I have so many prescriptions filled there, I joke by asking if I get frequent flier miles! Theyre always calm, unruffled and pleasant no matter how busy the pharmacy is -- especially when dealing with a difficult customer.Even when Im doing other shopping in the parmacy area I always say, Hi!
