I came past this establishment at exactly 1:50 pm. The receptionist a young girl barely spoke. When giving her my info to pick up a order placed a bag in front of me and answered the phone. Already con number 1. I decided to let the manager know about this small but unprofessional service I was given in 5 seconds. Moving forward, I called to speak to a manager. No one should hand you food that is ONE NOT IN YOUR HAND, and two with no verbal communication after. I could have picked up anyone food and left. Her manager was just as terrible. I asked for his name he stated he would give me his name after hearing the matter, already unprofessional. Secondly, while explaining he stopped me twice to give me his comments without hearing me fully. Smh! So unprofessional. After, without hearing me he stated it seems like your having a bad day and taking it out on us. I have never in my 30 years of life been told by customer service that it s my fault for the service I received. And the service was very small. Pathetic. And people honestly think they can get away with anything and you can’t. And to be honest, if I was having a bad day that was his golden moment to change that instead of justifying his front desk behavior. My job would have fired Ed the moment she showed that she can’t multi task. Also, if you have a customer in front of you do you answer the phone without telling the customer in front to hold, or placing the call on hold or do you answer the phone and began talking without providing any warning to the customer in front of you. Literally, lack of customer service will make a business go bad.

Food is great but customer service needs to improve. Little girl with the glasses could use more training or a class in customer service at the very least.Order my food in advance on the phone cause we were short on time. Brough wife and kids because kids wanted to go to park after wards. When I got there only half the order was put in the system and packed in to go box even though I told the little girl we would be dining in. I had to pay twice and wait for the remaining food. She seem to ignore me when I asked her something and gave answers in a rude manner. First and last time eating here

My go to spot when I want a quick bite to eat. They were great in doing curbside pickup during pandemic.

Delicious. Very delicious. But S-L-O-W. Very, very slow. I understand that good food takes time to cook, but 2 kabobs, some (pre-made) rice, and a (pre-made) soup shouldnt take 22 minutes. While it didnt live up to the term fast casual, it was still, nonetheless, very tasty.Id just save it for a time when I have time for fine dining.

Friendly staff.Joojeh Kabob is my to go meal for the chicken, tender and flavorful, and the rice with the side to be mixed with the Must-o-Mooseer.The signature Kubideh Kabob, it is a signature indeed, it is really good too!Kashk Bademjan is my favorite starter.Hummus is good but not the best - creamy and with a more chickpea plain flavor.

I ordered the Joojeh (chicken breast) w/rice, as always very delicious.One particular detail happened today, I asked the cashier lady if I could have a small plastic cup for ice (I had my own bottled water) and she charged me $2.49 for a fountain soda. I wouldn’t mind a fee for the cup, but not as high as $2.49; just saying. When I asked her about the charge, she was not so polite explaining the reason why, she said “my bad” and turned away to answer the phone and basically ignored me when I asked her again.

Absolutely enjoyed their beef and ground beef kabobs. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Its just down the street from Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. The staff are friendly.

A fantastic restaurant with excellent management. With a great option, you can order a family plate and taste all the specialty foods and different kind of kebabs. Also, this is an extraordinary possibility. One of the significant benefits of Moby Dick is the availability of fast food. Almost, in any part of the DMV area in were Iranians live, can quickly find one of its branches. Thank you, Moby Dick!

Great food, great service. They have the best hummus Ive ever had, made fresh daily. The rice taste so good. The kabobs are tasty, and cooked well. And the price is very reasonable. The only complaint I have is the parking. Its in hard to find parking, but thats not their fault.

I like this kabob place, it offers delicious, mildly seasoned and generous meals with freshly baked bread. Meals here are tasty and different, the meat is not too spicy but still seasoned and flavored and the portion could actually feed two people sometimes, especially with the bread they offer with their meals.Staff are friendly, the place is clean and seating is comfortable.

They straight up know how to cook their meats. Its a no frills Persian feast of the basics; bread, meat and rice with some vegetables.Ive been visiting this place for years, and they stay consistent. We took a group of 27 people, most of them teenagers, there that were visiting from out of town. The staff at Moby Dick were AWESOME. They were patient, gracious, and attentive. They got all of our food right and it was all so tasty. We were very impressed with their service and professionalism.

This place was okay because it took longer than anticipated to get my food, since the store was slow when I went for dinner.The food was good! Kabobs were a little... greasy? Hard to describe. It was difficult to order since the menu is a bit confusing at first.Also, I got the hummus and a full pita as an appetizer. It was kind of pricey, but I did it anyways. The hummus came in a prepackaged tub with an expiration on top, and my pita was burnt.It was good once, but I dont know if Id ever go out of my way to go back.

Just did an order and the woman who took my order couldnt get it right then had the nerve to call me rude after she couldnt make change properly. Wont be coming back to this location. Update; 9/13/15 made another attempt ordering food again. New girl was more pleasant than the last time but didnt give me my salad that is part of the meal, instead I got 2 charred slices of tomato...??? Food is good if I ever get what I order.

Ordered the gyro over rice and was very disappointed! Not even close to what i was expecting. I wanted half rice/half salad then realized it was all rice, which was very dry. Also, why is there no gyro lamb and only gyro beef??

I have been eating at Moby Dick for about 5 years. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. The management makes a constant effort to keep the restaurant looking fresh and clean and for it be an enjoyable experience for the customers.I recommend the chicken and rice. The rice is there own special basmati rice, and the chicken is always succulent and juicy. The bread is kiln fired and delicious. Jose is an expert at preparing the bread.I highly recommend Moby Dick in Clarendon off of Highland Street between Washington Blvd and 10th Street.

Love the chicken with half rice, half salad. My husband gets the beef and chicken combo a lot. Lunchtime is really busy so call it in for take-out!

If you are looking for a good place for kebabs, you definitely want to check this place out! Chicken and kubideh are my favorite. And you gotta get the rice...yum. Highly suggest to ask for the green dipping sauce as it is a nice added bonus of spicy kick. The falafel is one of my favorite as well.
