I cannot say enough about John. I was in Asheville NC for a vacation with my wife and disaster broke when both of my rear sway bars went kaput. After explaining to John to include that I was leaving town the next day in the morning; John thought about it and said leave your keys, did not promise he would get it in and inspect immediately but he said is 8Am now I will try to take a look at it at 10Am. I understood his shop was full of cars waiting for service. Around 9:30 he called me its your sway bars, one is broken the other is about to go, the bushing is bad. I ask can it be done today, sure thing he said I get on it. 10:30 car is ready come when ever you are ready! WHAT?! He told me that he felt sorry we were out of town and he placed us a head of the line. The price? Lets just say I found it very reasonable. Thank you job well done. We made it back home no issues.

Even allowed me to bring my dog in (we were traveling) because it was hot outside. Considerate of your money and time.

They fixed my brakes fast and spotted a belt which was frayed.When I dropped my car off I had no way to get home so they gave me a ride home so I could sleep (I work third shift as a nurse) so I was tired when I dropped my car off. A few days after they fixed my brakes I ran over a nail and found myself without a way home so I stopped by and asked for a patch. They patched it for free and got me home again! Thats great service and reliable repair.Also they were very polite and professional. This is a great place to bring your car.

I brought my 2014 Camry there a week ago for an oil change and tire rotation (with 1 tire visibly low in air pressure) -not only did they up-sell me on oil, not fill my tire only to have it go flat the next day, but they tried to really scare me into getting new brakes for my car when a second opinion at a family friends shop in Brevard told me I had used only about 40% of my brakes and there was nothing to worry about. I understand mechanics can often be pushy or stretch the truth-but they handed me a list costing $900 of unnecessary work and left me feeling anxious about my brakes going out at any second after I walked away...oh--AND with a flat tire the next day. Absolutely do not recommend.

I destroyed the skid plate under my car and I called very last minute to see if they could just take it off real quick. They got me in and got me out in under 15 minutes and didn’t even charge me! Would recommend, thank you so much!

Was very disappointed with my experience. They tried to charge me $200 for “cleaning my breaks,” which is not something you need to do. They also tried to charge me $950 for something I found at another mechanic for half the price. Over priced and they try to sell you things you don’t need. Nice staff though.

I’ve been getting oil changes here since I moved to Asheville 2 years ago and I have no complaints. They’re honest and I trust them. They’re not gonna up sell you on s**t you don’t need!

Had my truck in because she was making a bit of noise that I thought was strange. The employees were very thorough in finding out what was going on and explaining what would be the best way for fixing it, as well as options for what was immediate as well as what could wait. Always very nice and considerate guys. She runs like new now, even though she’s 12 years old.

Excellent shop. My car needed a clutch repair, quickly. Carl was super helpful and explained everything and even got my parts delivered overnight so I could get my car back. They were the only shop that could even look at my car for 3-4 days. I highly recommend this place, I didn’t feel like it was a typical repair shop that always comes up with a new “problem” to charge you more. Great experience overall.

Honest & kind. We do a lot of our own work but if we need help or dont have time we bring it here. It all started when they rescued me and my two small kiddos. Our alternator went bad and the car broke down at Wendys (across the road). They sent someone over to grab us, gave the girls drinks and let us hang out while we waited for a tow truck. Knowing I was going to take it home and replace it myself. Love these guys!

I’ve always had great service at Precision Tune for over 20 years, and with my latest repair they truly went above and beyond anything I’ve ever received from any car repair shop.This time I brought my car in when my “check engine light” went on. As sometimes happens with the “check engine light”, pinpointing the problem can be tricky. In my case, a different problem code came up each time they attempted a repair or replaced a part. This happened four times, and they never charged me a penny, even though they spent a lot of time with my car and had to order parts for it. When they finally got a clear diagnosis that my catalytic converter had to replaced, they charged me $700 less than the dealer wanted for the same job. Throughout this entire process they gave me loaner cars when I needed to leave my car for many hours, answered all of my questions, and doggedly pursued a variety of solutions until they came up with the one that worked. I truly feel that they bent over backward to do everything they could to assist me.I’ve had virtually all of my car repair/service done at Precision Tune since I moved to Asheville in 1996. I’ve had four cars in that time and each car has been well taken care of by them. Many times they have done small services for me for free. I’ve never had a breakdown because they have always kept my cars running well, and I’ve always been treated courteously. I’m happy to recommend them to anyone.

I want to thank Precision tune, I have a 2002 Jeep it is good shape but I was taking two trips one to Ct and one to Florida to take care of aging family in total about 3500 miles. I brought the car in and asked Precision tune to check everything they could so I would be safe and sound on the trip. They did a lot of checking and my car and I had no issues with my car on the whole trip. ThanksWe have two Jeeps and they have taken care of them for the past 6 years. They did an incredible job on the job and warranty their work... brought the truck back nearly a year later for an oil change and Carl found issues covered by their warranty. My advise is for techs seeking employment... you can do better. i worked here for a little while and i sucked. the management and owner are a couple of pieces of work that will pay you as little as they possibly can. and take any opportunity to dock your pay that they can. so if you need a job i would try to find one somewhere else..... your welcome!!!!

Scheduled brake and wheel bearing work on my Subaru, after a fair estimate Carl was able to turn around the repair within four hours. Ive been trained by other small shops to wait days for parts and turnaround. Same day service, for this I would have ranked them with four stars since theyre not the cheapest (you get what you pay for). However, after picking up the car the next morning it was apparent that something wasnt perfect, took the car back in and they fixed it no questions asked, and never second guessed my concerns about their work. My car is now quiet once again and I was even further impressed with the follow up call I just received from Carl making sure everything was in good working order with the repair. Top notch experience, highly recommended.

Fast, HONEST service. I was driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway and noticed a burning smell coming from my car as I stopped at overlooks. I popped into Asheville for some food and let Google combined with my imagination convince me that my car was in imminent danger of leaving me stranded hours from home. I read reviews about how trustworthy this shop is, so I made my way over. It was only 30 minutes until they closed, but the gentleman at the desk immediately got a tech to take a look while reassuring me it was probably nothing to be worried about. Within 15 minutes, they’d checked my engine, belts/hoses, oil, and brakes and gave my car a clean bill of health. It was a huge relief and allowed me to enjoy the drive back without worry. A less reputable shop could have easily taken advantage of my anxiety to fleece me, but these guys were clearly on the up and up. I only come to Asheville every few years, so I can’t give them my business, but I hope this review encourages you to give them yours.

I had a wonderful experience here! I was on a roatrip with friends in the Smoky Mountains when my rear breaks started to completely deteriorate to the point where the rotors were scraping on metal. I didnt know where to go to get the car looked at and I happened to find Precision Tune on Google. Im so glad I did. After a risky drive into Asheville, I was greeted warmly and treated with care. I didnt have an appointment but the technician went out of his way to help me and prioritize my repair. I was ready to wait around all day but within 15 minutes they had the car in and in another hour and a half the rear breaks were repelaced, new rotors and all, at a very fair price. I cant emphasize enough how much they helped me out, given the fact that I was driving back to NY state the next day and it would have been very dangerous without rear breaks. My gratitude is endless! I highly recommend this business!

I just had to get my thoughts together.I would like to first give a little history about our so called vacation. It seemed to be filled with a lot of stressful times. My wife and I live on Long Island, New York. Two days before we were to leave for the trip the end of August, as we were in my towing car crossing an intersection with the green light, a guy went through his red light, crashed into our car, then preceded across the rest of the intersection crashing into another car that was stopped in the left turn lane. That kind of indicated how fast he was going. He admitted to running the red light due to the fact he was on his phone. By the grace of God no one was hurt. However my trailer towing car was now out of commission.I was able to borrow my son’s 2005 Yukon the night before we were to leave on the trip. However I had to prepare the car with my electric trailer brake unit the Saturday morning we were to leave 8/24. After spending the morning doing this we began the trip south getting off Long Island that afternoon.My son and two of his friends were riding their motor bikes from Atlanta Georgia and we met up with them on Monday night 8/26 at the Springmaid Camp Ground in Linville N. C. ( which by the way is the worst camp ground I have ever stayed at for many different reasons, adding to more of the stress). This is about 50 miles away from your shop near the Blue Ridge Parkway.This was after I had been driving a few hundred miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway pulling my trailer with probably a small brake line leak. A very scary situation thinking back on that part of the trip with all of the turns and hills there were.Only because it was raining on the Tuesday morning 8/27 did we decide to go into Ashville to tour the Biltmore mansion. If it would have been a nice day we were going to do hiking in the Blue Ridge area not knowing about the leak and then nowhere to repair it. Just as we arrived with just the car at the Biltmore parking lot did the brake light warning go on, and we found there was a major brake line leak with no fluid in the reservoir.It was about 1:45pm when my son called your shop and you said you would be able to look at it if we got there right away, which we did. We were very appreciative about that right off, as most shops near where we live would probably have said come tomorrow. I am sure it is due to your helpful nature and our situation of being on a road trip you made the decision to take a look at our car.It is with much appreciation and gratitude all of us feel towards you and your dedicated professional staff, in staying an hour and a half past your regular closing time, to repair the car and save the remnants of our road trip. Your compassion to our situation will never be forgotten as I am not sure this would have happened at any other repair shop.All of us who were on the trip want to give you a big thank you for going above and beyond to save the rest of our trip and make sure we were able to do it safely.

Just got my 05 Dodge Stratus fixed here for some power steering trouble. When it was initially looked at and diagnosed, the repairs were going to cost around $2,000. Then we had talked to them about not being able to afford all of it right away, and they told us the things that were most important to fix, and knocked it down to around $1,000. A few hours after I had left and set an appointment with them to get it fixed, I got a call from Carl who told me that they were going to repair one of the things Id left out for free, AND knocked down the estimate even further to around $950. I just picked up my car today and it feels good as new, theyd gotten the repairs done in 6 hours so I wasnt left without a car for long, and they had to install another new part to get to one of the things that needed repairing, and didnt charge for it! I will definitely be taking my business here again; everyone was kind and helped as much as they could to make this affordable and my car driveable!

I was having trouble with my little car and took it to precision tune in Biltmore friendly..yes. honest no i dont believe so. For a tune up (plugs, and wires, distributor cap) i was charged $350. I was told my car was FIXED. I went to pick it up and it took forever to get it started one of the guys from the shop had to come out and get it running. So i leave and make it about 1/2 mile when it died. i had to get Fenders towing to pick it up for me. Really? It was running when i left it there. It was just running rough. Turns out it was my injector. Fixed THAT myself.. that was about 6-8 months ago. My car started acting up the other day again this time having no power like it jumped timing kinda, popping through my carburetor. first thing we checked is the spark plugs. Now my cars plugs call for a gap of 35. Mine were all four set at 54-55.. why would they set my plugs so high if not to have them wear out faster and need to return sooner for another $350 tune up.

The guys really care about what they do and are willing to go that extra mile to make sure your vehicle needs are met.

This is my regular shop where I go to fix my car, oil changes, etc. They are always friendly and dont stop till they fix the problem! I highly recommend them

Amazing experience. I recently had my air conditioner compressor fixed at another place two months ago, and it just went out again! Instead of taking it back to that other place where theyd charge me for labor of something they didnt fix all the way in the first place, I took it to the folks here at precision. After getting the part, they were able to fix my AC in a matter of hours, and made sure I didnt have to pay the labor (they talked to previous shop had the previous shop pay it). They just saved me $400. As a young woman I hate to say it but I feel preyed upon by certain auto repair shops. Not these guys. They earned my trust, looked out for me, and have got a customer for life.

Precision tune auto care Asheville NC is a rip off. I took my car to Precision Tune auto repair in Asheville NC because the alternator went out. They advertise free estimates but dont mention the diagnostic test for $40.00 until later. I told them the alternator needed to be replaced and wanted an estimate and told them not to fix anything without notifying me. They called and said it was going to be nearly $500.00 so I told them Id pick my car up since $500 to replace an alternator is outrageous. When I went to pick up my car they charged me $40.00 for diagnostics test and wouldnt give me my keys until I paid. This was the first mention of any charge. I told them all I wanted was an estimate and told them the alternator was bad when I brought it in so why do I have to pay $40.00 for them to tell me my alternator was bad? They told me it was standard procedure even though they advertise free estimates and never mentioned any fees up front.. The main wire was broken off of the alternator and was clearly visible so I dont think a $40 diagnostic test was necessary nor was it authorized but if charging for a diagnostic test when they already know the problem and its visibly obvious is standard procedure I guess they wont mind me advertising that for them. Avoid this rip off mechanic shop like the plague that it is. I hope it was worth $40.00 to lose all of the business they will lose for years from my reviews.

Everyone was very kind and my car was fixed quickly. I was in Asheville from out of town when I had car issues. When I dropped my car off and was about to Uber back, they insisted on driving me back to my hotel. I appreciated their explanations of what was wrong with my car. I also appreciated the information on additional maintenance that was recommended, but did not feel pressured to have those things done that day. If I lived in Asheville, I would definitely go back!

I was told that a parking break cable would cost $300.00 and that I needed two of them. The estimate totaled out to be a little over $900.00. I did not allow them to do any work on my vehicle and I immediately checked around to see other prices. I learned that the parking break cable is a $30.00 part, not $300.00. When I went to pick my car up, I spoke with Blake and he had no excuse as to why he had such a high estimate. He was caught trying to rip me off. I paid $68.00 for the diagnostic fee (which he did not tell me about) and when I asked for a copy of the estimate he said he did not have it anymore because he threw it away. I do not want this to happen to anyone else, please be careful!

I just purchased this truck from a local dealer. The dealer agreed to pay to fix the cracked seal, radiator, and wheel bearing for me. The dealer asked me to take the car to Percision Tune for the appointment on Friday morning. I dropped the car off Thursday night in their parking lot as I had to be at work early the next morning. The next morning, Percision Tune calls me and says there is a huge dent in the side of the truck, it looks like someone backed into it. I told them I did not drop the truck off like that, they know I just bought it as they looked at it 2 days prior to dropping it off. I spoke to the manager and explained to them I did not drop off the truck like that, the dent is very noticable. He went on to say that no one picked up a car that night and the mechanic that opened at 6am was the one who noticed it. Considering they are located on the corner of a busy intersection, they should have cameras in their parking lot, but they do not. Unfortunately they did not take responsibility for the damage or offer to help fix it.

I had precision tune work on my car because my battery and brake light kept coming on. Carl told me a bunch of blah blah blah about the problem. They charged me $1,386 to fix my car. Two days later, my lights came on again. I took it back, only to be told that its my alternator. Oh, and Carl wanted $500 more to fix the problem that they did not originally fix!!!!!
