I came in after hearing a little squealing from my brakes and these guys were VERY professional. They checked my brakes and realized they were still very good, greased me up and sent me on my way NO CHARGE (free brake inspection). I work in customer service so I always appreciate good service. I had my brakes changed here a few weeks ago. They were very timely and professional. Unfortunately my mirror was damaged getting my truck on the lift; however, the manager Dave went above and beyond. He ordered me a new mirror, and actually replaced it himself! This place really sets the standard for what customer service should be, I highly recommend them to anyone.

Had an appt this morning. Show up.. NO ONE was there except for the panhandle asking for money and some other unsavory folks hanging in the parking lot. Called the number they have posted on the door and was told the manager had an emergency. Okay! Why was I not called for a reschedule? Not very professional in my opinion. Will not go back and will tell others NOT to use this business!

Worst back yard red neck service Ive ever recieved. BRAKE FLUID EVERYWHERE! Looks like they poured brake fluid from the sky while standing on top of my car with it on and the fan blowing brake fluid everywhere. Tires were coated, brake components and control arms had brake fluid all over. Straight trash, avoid this place at all costs.

They fixed my brakes. Place is very dirty. No bathroom. Staff was nice. They let me use the wifi to do school work while waiting. They fixed it in the time they said they would. They were more expensive than they quoted but I did expect that.

The guy at the front just wants to get the cars in the bay before they quote so there is lower chance that you will retaliate. When you tell them to put the car back together they get mad and mess with your vehicle because they are bitter. Quote was over $700 for breaks - what a joke!

If you had a bad experience here in the past, it is a totally different place now***Last April I had a really strange experience at the Tunnel Rd Brakes 4 Less, and despite continuing brake issues and a 40k mile warranty on the work, I just never wanted to go back. I finally made myself go back today to address issues and it is a completely different experience!!! New manager James is really courteous & professional. Whole place feels calmer, cleaner, very well run, and I just updated my work crew that they should give it a try (even though I had previously told them to stay away).Nice turnaround :)

They did a full check on the car I had bought only 26 days ago, to find the brakes and undercarriage were rusted beyond repair. On their advise I took the car back to the dealership. Thanks guys

My brakes were scrubbing like crazy and the team at Brakes 4 Less was awesome. The manager James who took care of me was honest and didnt try to oversell me on things I dont want or need. Im always hesitant walking into an auto shop as a woman but these guys, especially James, were incredibly respectful and didnt try to bs me. The service was fast and my brakes feel like butter two weeks later. These guys offer the best price and quality of service in town. Hit them up.

Stripped 18 out of 20 lug nuts. I called and left Dexter several messages over a months time. I finally speak to Dexter (he never returned my call, I caught him there) and he said he will send a check to reimburse for the lug nuts. Another month later, no response to emails and no check. I can only imagine the problems if there is a warranty claim. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!

Have been there 4 times in the last 5 years... not able to get a price less than the highest “package “ price any of those times.. makes it not feel right.. time to finally move on. guy was more friendly now than previously.

Called in Friday afternoon to get my brakes bled, and was quoted $60 over the phone. The appointment was scheduled for 4:30pm. I get there and have to reschedule for Saturday morning, since all the technicians left for the day. I come back in on Saturday morning only to be told that I needed almost my entire brake system changed out for $1,100, despite having new front brakes already on my car. So I towed my car back home, and my husband ended up simply bleeding my brakes out so I could drive my car again.Worst experience ever, definitely would not recommend this place at all.Edited to add: apparently the manager thought the calipers were locked up, when they just had too much pressure on the rear calipers. I still stand by my review, regardless of what the manager says.

HIRE THESE GUYS!!! They are absolutely amazing, truly you will be treated like family when you come here! I’m from Mississippi, so I’m 10 hours from where I live and stranded. my camper van broke down.I went here and immediately was Blessed. The owner is incredibly diligent about the quality of work put out of this shop. No one had the parts or the capability of lifting my vehicle, in less than 3 weeks. Sure enough, my man Jabo was able to handle and do my brakes in lightning speed. Seriously all the employees were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! So all in all if there was a 100 star rating I’d give it! Price was great! Truly a spectacular place! God bless these guys!

I brought my car in they told me it would be 179 then take my jeep its 200 more. I tell them no and get my jeep back with no breaks they tell me I brought it in like that. I could have never made it here in that condition I had breaks when I came in.

Have a problem with my NEW BRAKES AND ROTERS,.Went back, they TEST drove it, said nothing was wrong, refused to put on lift to check started an argument!!!! Ill never use them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone.

This is a con. My teenage child took my car to them and they told her I needed $650 worth of work done brake pads, new rotors, a brake boost. They even came out with a brake pad saying it had fallen off my car. My child refused the work. I took my car to my usuals mechanic who repaired the brake line that was broken and told me all the brake pads were fine. And charged me less that $100. These people will try to con you with work you do not need.

I called in with a brake light problem. I asked if it would pose a problem since I have a 2004 Audi. I was assured by Staff that there would be no issue. I went in for my appointment and after my car was inspected, I was told my entire brake package was failing. I was talked into buying everything brake related. However, when I left my Brake light was still engaged. It has been two weeks since the Entire Brake System Replacement and my Brake Lights are still on. Enough said.

The guy I had to deal with was someone named Thomas and he was really kind and honest about my car! Had an appointment at 2:00pm and got out of there at 3:55pm. Dont usually give reviews on places; however I just wanted to express my experience in dealing with this place. I initially called in and asked for a front brake a rotor replacement and was quoted at roughly 180 dollars. When I get to the place and sign in, there was over an hour of waiting before I was told the safety check was completed and I was in need of more services (I understand the mark up and everything.) I had showed up roughly 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. After being quoted a higher price than usual for front brakes and new rotors to be installed, I requested just the back brakes be replaced and the rotors to be resurfaced. I felt like I was belittled for my choice, but for the price they were asking I knew I could get it done cheaper elsewhere.Despite having an appointment, I was in the building for well over three hours. I understand that service can take time but the lack of communication from any worker became somewhat stressful. Workers were constantly walking around the vending machine and just not engaging with anyone besides occasionally messing with one another. The person who ran the front just didnt seem to engage any of the customers in the lobby and other customers were seemingly becoming more upset. I understand things can happen and occur but leaving a customer sitting around for over three hours isnt how business should be conducted in my opinion. I think engaging the customer and letting them know whats going on wouldve went a long way on this long day.After the finished job, I was given the car and informed that a lug nut was missing from my front tire. I wasnt informed of this at the initial safety check. I also know that the lug nut was present prior to going to the building because I had been to a tire shop earlier in the day and had everything checked. I also checked everything prior to going into the brake shop. I understand that my lug nuts were swollen and in need of replacement. I just dont like that the worker tried to pass it off as a lug nut was missing prior to showing up. If the lug nut was damaged or lost in service, I can handle that. I dont appreciate making it seem like Im oblivious to things regarding my car.I can understand how so some customers come in here and have a wonderful experience. I just didnt seem to have that experience with this company on this date. I dont want to speak negative of workers because I dont seem them interact with customers everyday, this is just going solely on how I felt I was treated and my actual experience with the company. I wont be going back I dont believe. The quality of the work seemed to be good but the actual customer service needs some improvement. Unless they did on my day. Maybe I just caught people on a bad day too. Who knows. Just read full reviews before going.

The first time I went to this shop, they didnt tighten something appropriately and as a result I had to get towed to another shop. Eventually they fixed it but evidently it could have been a life-threatening situation.But I had a warranty on the work so a few years later when I needed service I went back. They did not honor the warranty.Two visits and both of them with extreme negative result. Ill never go back. Management seems to have no quality control and since they are not honoring their warranty its a total ripoff.Stay away!!

STAY AWAY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.Got brakes done Saturday morning. Quick job but did not grease the pads, did not put them on correctly causing damage to the rotar. Caused awful loud sound. DO NOT TRUST THEM! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!Not worth the headache & hassle.Took to the dealership, they got it fixed up and showed me the damage.

They were friendly and both inspected and changed out all of my brakes within 2 hours! When I asked about a military discount they even gave me 15% off which is more than usual at most stores. Many thanks!

Bait and switch operation. Beware

I had to go last week because I let my brakes get terrible. I paid a pretty penny but for service that I received and with everything that I got done. I think I got excellent service, especially since my parts had to be ordered Friday around 4 and got them put on Saturday. Out 5 stars, I give them 10. Them guys are jam up, no questions asked!

I was in and out in a timely manner. The guy at the desk wasn’t very nice but what was worse was that when I was getting in my car after the job was done, my steering wheel and door was covered in all black grease. This should have been cleaned before returning the car to me. The waiting room was extremely dirty. You wouldn’t expect it to be like a doctors office but the floor had food on it, trash cans overflowing, and cobwebs everywhere.

Had an appointment at 4 today to get my brakes changed. I was in and out in less then an hour and I had a lifetime warranty on them so it was totally free. I had my five year old with me and the guy at front desk was very nice to him even though hes a handful. Very nice people. Will be going back!

Awesome place for brakes.

Two stars because of the lack of explanation of pricing, and fees that were added after service was done. Quoted $159 for basic brake job on the phone. Once we arrived that price was $259. Without offering the $159 package. When I asked about the $159 quote, it was explained that the $159 brakes were of lesser quality and would have dusting. Obvious hard up-sale. We were quoted $279 with taxes in the end it was $290 because they didnt add a $11 fee. We were in and out quickly. Lack in customer service skills.

These guys are great!! My brakes were not good. They did a thorough inspection and gave me a detailed review of what was going on with the brake system and what needed to be fixed. They went above and beyond to fix my car at an affordable price. I highly recommend having your brakes serviced here.

I made a 3 Oclock apt received the text confirmation; arrived at 3 and was told my apt was at 4. The man at the desk told me that it was fine they would work me in. Began to sit down in the lobby when one of the most bizarre scenes began to unfold. There were about 4 customers total in the shop waiting. As I am leaving the counter a lady comes in visually disgruntled. She said her emergency brake was no longer working and that she could not wait any longer as she had already waited 4 hours and was late to work. The man working the counter was not apologetic to her and told her if she didnt want to stay they could look at it in the morning. As she left, he said to me I dont know what people expect, this isnt an easy job it takes a long time if we dont do a good job you could end up dead. Red flag # 1. Then as I sit down 2 more customers walk in from the bay area. They warn me to leave before they even start working on my car. Red Flag # 2. The one guy said he had been there since 9am and it was now 330. Another was there at 10am. Reg Flag # 3 Then the guy at the desk comes in and talks to one of the other customers whose car they are working on and says oh man this is going to be expensive. Red Flag #4 You need this this and this. The guy refuses and agrees to the 159 deal. The other guy said they were wanting to charge him 1300 to replace a brake line. They said they went out to the bay to see what the guys were doing and one was smoking every 5 minutes and the other was just throwing things and cussing every time he hit a finger. It was at this point I got up and walked out and went elsewhere. This was the most unprofessional and disorganized auto shops I had ever set foot in. A manager needed to be in the lobby controlling conversation and addressing legitimate concerns.

We were quoted a different price over the phone than the one we were asked to pay at the service center. We walked out, taking our truck somewhere else, after driving an hour for a brake service. Lots of employees sitting around, playing on phones in the bay but not working. Suspiciously meandering around, appearing to be high. If you need brakes, try Meineke, they are honest and reasonable.

Thank goodness for this place and their wonderful customer service and auto work. I was traveling from Michigan to Florida when my brakes went bad in the mountains. The owner and manager understood my emergency and need for help. Im very thankful to have my vehicle safe to reach and enough gas cash to reach my destination. Thank-you Brakes4Less!

Great experience with this shop. Not being super mechanically savvy, they could have sold me new rotors as mine were rusty. That is an expensive fix, but they were honest and told me they were still fine and didn’t need to be replaced for a good bit. Very pleased with this shop, I was able to save money on a repair that wasn’t needed yet and they have earned my business for the future. Thank you!

My experience was really great. Took my car in expecting to need the rear pads replaced but to my surprise, the guys told me that everything looked great. They inspected all four brakes and even cleaned and adjusted my parking brake. These guys are honest and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend them for business. Will be returning when my brakes need replacing.

Have you noticed the reviews are either one star or five stars? Do not trust good reviews! A sign as you are paying gives the option to save $15 by posting 5 star reviews on specific sites. Had no idea you could financially reward a customer for a good review! After being ripped off so much, I can see how someone would want the $15 and give a fake review!

They do a thorough inspection of what your cars undercarriage needs.(meaning shocks/struts,tires)theyll let you know.i visited it yesterday thinking maybe I may need new brakes?the tech. Told me that the brakes were good for a few more months,I had to spend no $.in my opinion,any lesser(smaller garage)may have just went ahead and replaced the brake pads and charged just for more money made! I came in at the end of the day about 30min before closing...Dave took one look at my brakes and instead of making me come back in the morning, himself and his staff stayed late to fix my brakes to keep myself and my son safe!!! We found out they had a good price on 4 a wheel brake job. My wife went. Now we didn’t get that price, we had to “upgrade” the package because our “hardware was rusted”. I told my wife I wanted to see this rusted hardware. A. It wasnt rusted AT ALL. It’s dirty because it’s BRAKES. I have a picture. B. Every set of pads I’ve ever bought has come with this hardware. After my wife asked to see it on my behalf, the tech got an attitude, and said “it was more than just the hardware”. Well, why did he say hardware then? Why didn’t he explain that up front? I know why!!! Sell sell sell!!!!!! With Commissioned based sales, this is what you get. It’s not the kids fault. He’s just trying to feed himself. You’ll get your brakes changed here. Just be aware sales are they’re top priority, not your satisfaction and trust. Pay attention. It wasn’t worth fighting them over the bill, but we’ll go somewhere else next time.

The owner, Jennifer, and another gentleman that helped me (wish I would have gotten his name) provided amazing customer service and this was a the first time I had been there. They went out of their way when they didn’t have to and I very much appreciate that! I highly recommend them if you are looking for a quick and friendly place if you are looking for brake repair.

While Buck is a good guy and is working with relatively new staff who do a good job, I had to wait 5 hours in the facility for work to be completed. This rating would be four stars if Buck would have told us (two distinct customers) early in the process the work was going to take longer than expected. I intend to return to them for further work. Hopefully the staff will be better seasoned.

They just price quoted me $1001 for front and rear brake pads or rotors and two rear calipers.. like wow.. I just bought all the parts for $377 and my friends doing the labor for $100... I was even told by the parts store that brakes for less is known for price gouging.. I will not ever be back..

My brakes went bad on a Friday night, so I had my car towed to Brakes 4 Less since I knew they’d be open Saturday and I received better service then I imagined! The were very understanding and accommodating to my needs. I got my car back and running like new in just a few hours. I definitely suggest taking your brake problems here!

Made apt ahead of time, got there ahead of time, took 20 minutes to see anybody and they said they might get to it by the end of the day. Got a text asking me to confirm the apt but no text saying they were overbooked. now I have to find the time off work. No offence to the guys in the garage working hard, the main office should be in touch with their customers

This is my second experience with Brakes-4-Less and I have been very happy with them both times. This last time, they even replaced a cross threaded bolt and nut at no extra charge!I will definitely return to them the next time I need my brakes done and will be recommending them to others.

Everyone needs to visit Brakes-4-Less (Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC). Bobby and team went above and beyond with the level of service they provided to me. I just went in for front brakes and asked them if they could identify why my car was pulling to left when braking. They diagnosed it and made the repairs, but the problem still existed. They diagnosed twice more and finally fixed the problem. My car was not safe and I had been driving it for over a year with this issue. Bobby explained the safety issues and ensure me and my children will be safe after their repairs were completed. Even though it took 3 times to get the fix, they made it well worth my while! Please try them out... you will be pleased! :)

Nice people, very good job. Reasonable price considering I priced my brake job at several other places and this place had the best price and the weekly discount.

Was told I needed 500 worth of work when I came in specifically for a brake pad change, they attempted to convince me to pay 500 over the phone, I told them no. I picked up my car after installing their 140 kit which ended up being almost 170, & immediately noticed my car was driving strange. Got home and noticed they had unplugged hoses all throughout my car. Knowing well these were not like this before the drop off, I assume it was their way of getting back at me for not spending 500 on brakes. Would not recommend, find a friend, or go to a better trusted source.

Realized after coming down from the Blue Ridge Parkway that my brakes were having trouble. Pulled in and I am glad I did. Front brakes were shot. These guys got me back up and running within about 2 hours (on a holiday Friday). Friendly crew, fair price, and thorough work.

Worst ever! Out $80.00 gas and brakes still not fixed. Have made four trips here now and every time had appointment. Sorry cant take you today or may be hours from now... I arrived with no appointment. Dave immediately found an opening. I had to wait a little bit but thats fine. Turns out my brakes were worse than I thought. These guys ordered the part and had the car ready still on the same day...we thought.... Turns out the master cylinder was bad too. Dave and team had me bring the car back the very next day when they took the car in and fixed it as soon as I walked in the door. I spoke with the staff briefly and they were all friendly and efficient. Seriously good work guys. It was my pleasure to do business with you.

So I did give this place 5 stars because it will save you the shop fee ($11) if you show it to them. However, definitely not the nicest breaks for less Ive been to! They did get the jobs done, new breaks and resurface the rotors for like $150 on wednesday but I got there for my appointment at 130 and didnt leave it just after 5!! Their office was not clean and could use some work to make the place look better. The guy sitting in the office was not the friendliest guy. Then at the end made sure Ill never go back. I wanted the $159 package and the total came to over $250 they tried to say they had to replace my hardware and upgraded my package. Yet i sat in the waiting room the whole time so they could have easily came over and talked to me about it. I never asked for that so I refused to pay the upgrade. I feel like they tried to take advantage of me because Im a young woman. So an overall bad, way to long experience (always a good and easy 1 hour process in jacksonville fl) however, they did get the work done, breaks are good, and I only paid $145 for the $159 package on 15% off Wednesday and gave a review for a free shop fee. Sometimes the price isnt worth the hassle so I wont be going back again.
