Absolutely excellent eye care! This was first visit to Triangle Visions, to get new lens prescription along with routine eye exam. The new glasses are fantastic--sharp vision in every range. The doctor, optician, and staff are all great!

Excellent place to care for your eyes. The most thorough exam I’ve ever received. Staff is friendly and very helpful. When I made a mistake in choosing my glasses, they made it right and replaced them with another pair - that’s their policy. I was so relieved. Glad I chose to get my eye care here.

First of all....can I give them a 100 star review? I have been seeing an Optometrist for 59 years. This was the most enjoyable and educational experience that I have EVER had in those 59 years! The staff was wonderful and friendly and knowledgeable AND OMG...Sara Toomey was the greatest! Honestly, I have never ever had such a wonderful experience. I was shown a picture of inside my eyes, not like the usual with x-rays and such where they are secret information mot to be shared with the patient. I was concerned about the possibility of macular degeneration. Information was freely given to me to explain the vision changes that I have been experiencing and all questions I had were answered. Usually I am in a passive patient that sits and gets told everything is such and such, but everything was explained and I felt like I was an active participant involved with my eye care.

I have been a patient of Michelle Reames for a long time.Shes seen me through some potentially scary issues with my eyes and I trust her completely. Shes an excellent practitioner and wonderful human being. I recommend her to everyone.

Dr Reames was as thorough as she has always been, taking the time to show and explain her findings. Her staff is always courteous and efficient as well.

Life is a little edgy for me of late and I have so little tolerance for nonsensical rules. Dr Omara demonstrated that she would temper such rules with a bit of judgment. Thank goodness!

This was my first time seeing an optometrist and I am so glad I came here. When I got there they broke down my benefits so that I knew what my copay would be. When I went back to get the initial exam Deborah was great about explaining the benefits of the retinal scan and did a great job of educating me on what each exam was for and what my results meant. Dr. Reames was also very helpful and also talked me through options for lenses and what she thought would be best. Finally the gentleman who checked me out took the time to break down my bill, what parts my insurance covered vs what parts I needed to pay and why, and also worked with me to make sure that the cost matched what I was looking for and worked within my budget. I always thought it was cheaper to get frames online but for me, with my insurance, I actually saved almost 75 dollars by getting them at Triangle. So overall great first optometrist experience.

They were accommodating to fit me in after I was stuck in a traffic jam and was almost an hour late for my appointment.Dr. Reams is through in her exam process. She explained the eye pictures of the optic nerve and showed me a cataract that is forming. She is great at not making you feel old when these aging problems arrive.John was helpful too. He did the set up for the exam.

Courteous, efficient, professional - Dr. Rheames, Devora, and the others I interacted with at my appointment were excellent. They were able to replace my broken glasses with a sharper new prescription and frames in four days. I am very satisfied with my experience.

My first experience at Vision Source of Asheville was overwhelmingly positive. Their team was both accommodating and very professional. The exam went by very quickly, which is not what Im used to when visiting an optometrist. The exam and replacement contacts were both quite fairly priced compared to what Ive seen in the past. They will certainly retain my business indefinitely!

First time here. New to glasses entirely. Was initially very impressed with the personal level of service compared to other offices I have visited. I did not have my vision checked here but I did purchase the glasses here. What I will note is that the office is not good at following up with you regarding the process. I was told that a pair of frames would come in one week for me to try. A week came and went without a call. I had to call to find out the status at 1.5 weeks. After purchasing the glasses I was told they would be avail in two weeks. Two weeks came and went---no call. I stopped by and was told that something was wrong with the anti-scratch coating and they were sent back---but would be ready for pick up on Tuesday. It would have been nice to be informed of this. Today is Tuesday and I have not received a call and called them at 4:30 pm. Got voice mail. Not sure what is going on or when I will get these glasses so I am hesitant to recommend---which is too bad because my initial visit went so well....and I sure did like Tia.

What an amazing team! The customer service is outstanding. I got so busy I could not stop by to pick up my sons contacts, so they mailed them to me!! That meant so much to me, he needed them before heading on a trip. Michelle and her team are by far the best eye doctor in Asheville. I highly recommend this business.

Beth at Vision Source of Asheville is AMAZING! I was recently in Asheville for a weekend getaway and had trouble with my contact lenses. I live in Southeastern NC, my eye doctors office closes on Friday and I was in big trouble and it was Friday. I made one call to Vision Source and Beth took great care of me. They gave me awesome service and Im a tourist. So they must treat all their clients just as I was treated. They also have very cool desks. Thanks Beth for helping me have a terrific visit to Asheville.

I have never had such problems with glasses before as the highly over priced and obviously cheap lenses that they sold me here. I have had these glasses for two years and the lenses need to be replaced every year, they scratch unbelievably and after replacing them the first time they refuse to do it again unless I overpay again. I have fifteen year old lenses that are not as scratched as these lenses which are a year old and even when I showed them this they refused to admit to selling an inferior product. They even assured me several times before I purchased the lenses that these were the best available. I see one of their happy customers buys new glasses every year, I guess if you need to be ripped off every year this is the place.

Thought I was buying only what I needed, got home, looked at my itemized invoice and realized that all the bells and whistles were sold to me only to line their pockets. My experience felt like I was buying from a fast-talking used car salesman. Beware.

I was extremely dissatisfied with my glasses. I initially purchased progressive lenses and found them difficult to get used to after weeks of trying . So I wrote off the $900 cost and purchased bifocals thinking I would at least get a pair of acceptable glasses. The bifocals were useless because the line between the top and bottom lens was annoying. So the additional $400 for the bifocals was a total loss .I have given up on trying to make both pair of glasses work for me and have returned to my 6 year old glasses for my every day wear. I feel like the $1,300 for the co glasses was virtually a complete loss.

I have been a patient at Vision Source for many years, and I have always had pleasant experiences. My most recent visits to Vision Source have only reinforced my positive opinion of this eye center. I did have a small issue with a pair of glasses I received a few months ago. When I put them on I could see mostly fine but had issues seeing out of the bottom of the lens. I didn’t personally pick them up in the store so I called to express my situation. The youthful woman I spoke with on the phone explained to me that the issue could be with the type of lens I received. After asking for a little clarification on this matter I was informed that my last glasses that I received from them (the ones that worked fine) had a high index lens so they just ordered the same type of lens for these new glasses. After this conversation I had new glasses made and when I received them I still was having issues seeing out of the bottom. Megan, someone who very much wanted me to be able to see, was trying to figure out anything possible to fix the situation. She mentioned that it probably wasn’t my prescription change since it hadn’t changed very much. I mentioned the type of lens I had in my glasses suggestion it may be the issue but Megan, knowing much more about glasses than I know, said that would be very strange since I had been using that lens type for years, but that it was certainly possible. A few weeks later (due to my busy schedule I was having a hard time getting an appointment) I sat with Megan again. It was very nice always being able to communicate my issues with the same person who knew of my situation. At this point we both thought it’d be best if I sat down with the doctor again but I couldn’t see her that day (Friday) because their office has no doctor on Friday. I was confused at first because I heard the receptionist tell people they were taking walk-ins but it turns out he was saying that they could come pick up their glasses. When I was able to get an appointment to see the Doctor (again, due to my very busy schedule and living relatively far away) I was treated with so much attention. I had at least 4 people attempting to figure out a solution to a problem that has plagued me for roughly 2 months now. Kenneth suggested that the glasses were too bent around my face and tried to straighten them out. This did offer some improvements but the blurry issue from the bottom of the glasses was still there. I was told to wear them over the holidays and see if I just wasn’t used to the new prescription. At this point I was pretty fed up from not being able to see as easily as I had wanted so I called my insurance to see what my options were for new lens types. They said that I could easily change to the simpler lens type instead of the fancier lens that I had been using for years. I contacted Vision Source and told them that I would like to order the glasses with the simpler lens type to see if it would work since my insurance would cover it. Vision source worked quickly to prepare these glasses for me and I picked them up shortly later. I sat with Megan again to pick up my glasses. I was finally able to see! Megan was so happy that we were able to figure out a solution to my ongoing issue. She seemed sincerely relieved that I could see comfortably again. I could tell that she really cared about me not only as a patient, but also as a person. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. While my situation was frustrating and irritating, I could tell that the staff was doing everything they could to rectify the situation.

I went in to get a little help with my pupillary distance and everyone was super nice! When I was in there, I noticed that they have a nice selection of glasses which I took note of. Even though I mainly asked questions and ended up not getting any glasses, Curtis was attentive and sincere. The atmosphere is very down to earth and they even have a sweet little cat that hangs out! They told me that the cat was actually a neighbors pet from nearby, but that it likes to come hang at the office regularly. I thought it was so cool how community oriented the office was. Anywho, really sweet and comforting atmosphere with helpful people! :)

I have been going to Dr. Reames for the past three years. She is an incredibly thorough doctor and eye examiner. She literally saved me from having a serious detached retina due to her finding a tear in my retina during a routine exam.After having surgery the next morning at 8:00 AM, my surgeon told me that you are a lucky man. 9 out of 10 eye doctors would NOT have found that tear.I recently went in to see Dr. Reames about floaters I was having. She performed a long exam and determined I needed to see a retina surgeon. She got me an appointment in 2 hours and I was checked and cleared that day.The next day she called me and left me a message saying she was happy to hear of my outcome and wanted to know how I was doing.THIS is the type of quality health care I appreciate and am loyal to. Thanks to Dr. Reames and all the great people that work at the Merrimon location. It is a great place!

After speaking on the phone with someone about my insurance prior to my appointment, I was told that they dont take Envolve insurance when I showed up for my appt. Staff communication breakdown to say the least and a complete waste of my time getting off work.
