Went in to get some spark plugs and gain knowledge about my Mercury outboard. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about my older engine! I will be back and I would recommend these guys for your older outboards that these new guys refuse to work on!

I would rate 0 star if possible. Do not order any parts from them. Their Distributors database lists electrical parts that ARE NOT correct for the motor. In my case a Power Pack for a 70 Evinrude was ordered as OEM replacement. What I recieved was a Power Pack for a later 70. Both manager and Parts woman confirmed their database listed the part recieved as correct, when it physicaly has different connectors. I contacted Marinengine.com and CDI Electronics here in Madison, Alabama who both confirmed the part I received fits a later model 70. A Google search of part number verified as well. Manager and Parts woman refused to work an exchange with their Distributor. So basically, this constitutes a theft of money from me, by fraud. As Commodore of the Whiteburg Boat & Yacht Club in Huntsville, Alabama, I have informed our 131 boating members and their families and all friends to not conduct any business with The Boathouse in Athens, Alabama.

Dropped my boat off for service. They have always been very friendly. Expect good service as usual.

Very honest, did good work. I thought it had a bad impeller but I couldnt get the lower unit off, I have never had anyone else work on my boats, I have always done it myself. Took it in, they looked at it the same day, found a blockage in the manifold coolant hole, removed it and changed my gear oil, under $80. Will always recommend them. Thanks boat house.

Quoted a price of 3 hours at 90 an hour to remove and reinstall the outboard motor on my boat. 3 plus weeks later price was over $1290! No communications from them for additional work!Beware of fraudulent charges
