First time going there and I was very satisfied with the service. Their display of equipment and instruments was clean and organized. I was asked what brought me there today and when I did he was quick to show me exactly what I was looking for. After taking a look at the prices, both the equipment and instruments are priced Fair I would definitely recommend these guys and I will be coming back soon
If I could give my experience 10 stars I would! Ben was very helpful when I was selling my gear. I probably spent less than 30 minutes there. I was literally in and out. I have sold and traded gear for years and this has to be the best experience I have had doing that. If you were in the market for some new drum gear go see Ben at Sam ash on Cobb Parkway, you won’t be disappointed. He is very knowledgeable on the subject of drops as well as other instruments. I look forward to buying all my new gear from Sam Ash!
Normally I order things online, but my son needed a few band supplies last minute so Sam Ash was an option for a same day purchase. I will admit the store was somewhat busy. Everything was well labeled and quite easy to locate without any assistance. My only issue was even though it was busy we were not greeted or acknowledged at all when we entered the unfamiliar store. Normally I leave places Im not greeted. Once we checked out we werent given a bag to put our smaller items in. The prices when compared to similar stores are better/affordable. We were acknowledged twice on the way out (shrug).
My kids have played various instruments over the years. I found this local store offer wide selections of items we needed and at competitive prices even sometimes compared with other online stores which require days of waiting to be shipped. Super convenient and the associates are knowledgeable and friendly. The store also provides instrument repair services. However, due to covid I believe they now only repair string instruments. Hopefully theyll consider adding back the other repair service once the covid situation is improved.
Great customer service and warm welcome at Sam Ash in Marietta. I was assisted by Kevin who was really awesome as well as the rest of the staff
Barron was great! It was a great experience to learn about some new equipment for our in-home studio moving forward. I could tell by having a conversation that Barron was very knowledgeable in the equipment needed to eventually get the sound we are looking for. Thank again Barron and we shall be keeping in touch with any other future purchases.
Friendly staff were also quite knowledgeable. They gave me space to try different amps to find the right one for me. Checkout was very smooth and item was in great brand new condition.
Great store for musicians to reach out and touch the merchandise without being scolded like a 3 yr old in a toy store. The customer service is great. The selection of merchandise and brands are great. Prices are competitive. Youll probably find what youre looking for on a visit.
The Manager Micheal went out if his way to help me. I bought a mic and cord from a Indianapolis Sam Ash store. the sold me the wrong cable.I lost my receipt and The manager was able to pull up my info and Gave me the right cable.
My first time shopping with them and Everything was Excellent! For now On Im gonna do all Future shopping At Sam Ash Music
Great service for me in this music store. Ben in the drum department was an amazing help.. I told me what I needed by description of a sound and he hit it right on the money. Got my snare back to the sound I needed... Evans HD dry 2 ply 13 inch is what I needed. Give Ben a raise.
Bought a pair of speakers and one crapped out. They promptly returned it and ended up getting something nicer.
Had an issue and they took great care of me. Thanks.
I went in to purchase an Epiphone Les Paul. The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. Selection was pretty good considering the effect covid has had on availability. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I bought a brand new guitar and I wasnt given a box to take it home in. Luckily I had a blanket in my car that minimized the risk of scratches to the guitar.Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend Sam Ash to others.
Had never been. Definitely going back!
Excellent music store excellent service very kind had my 87 Custom Les Paul reset Ricky is an excellent guitar tech I highly recommend him won’t cut down any other music stores I’ve used but this is my new guitar home for any adjustments in the future and purchases. 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice, cordial, knowledgeable and very helpful team members for sure.
I recently went to get my violin fixed and I looooove her new look. Blake loves you all and Im happy to have her back! Service was amazing and everyone did the necessary steps to improve the safety of everyone and everything within the store. Most definitely going on my birthday✨
I was new to the music scene when I walked into Sam Ash to learn about guitars. The sales person Alex was unbelievably helpful in helping me choose all the equipment necessary to get started. It was very personal service and getting me the right equipment that I needed. Prices and service were outstanding!!
We stopped by to see what they had. My husband is a dj and there isnt one near us. No one asked us if we needed assistance or even acknowledged our presence.
Great customer service and always has what Im looking for in stock. My only problem is that there is only one store in Atlanta. Please open a store on the East side.
Very helpful staff, great selection of products and accessories, clean, organized, competitive prices...Ive been shopping at the Marietta GA location for 6+ years, and am always happy with my experience. Ive bought various parts for my drums - stands, sticks, cymbals, cases, extensions, shakers, heads, a throne... on and on. I also appreciate that there are sometimes used options that are in great condition.
Sam Ash was very fascinating when I went last week on Thursday after having lunch at Longhorn! Very friendly staff and great service!! I was looking for a recording studio pack for animation voice over which they had, it cost a lot of money though. Im hoping to get it for my birthday sometime soon!
Ben does a great job every time Im in the store and anything I need hes very helpful
Pretty barren, looks like it’s going out of business with how little inventory there is. This place used to have a lot of high end stuff, but now it’s basically all beginner gear.Edit: A month later, even less inventory. It would not surprise me if this location closed.
The customer service is very poor in this store! I walked around the entire store for 30mintes and no one asked to see if I needed help.
Sam Ash provides really personalized, old-time attention and knowledge to your needs. They really listen and consult you honestly and specifically.Awesome people work there! They really love and live for music... You will have a great experience just being in the shop..
Ive been shopping here since it opened, and its always been a great store with awesome displays, lots of staff working, customers in and out constantly...somethings changed in 2020. The place is a total mess, I waited 25 minutes to check out and I was just quickly stopping in for guitar strings. Kid working at the front told me he cant check people out and continued to just sit there when he could be doing like 20 other things to get the place in better shape. Everyone else that could check me out were getting blasted with calls and clearly couldnt get away from the phones for 2 minutes to do the other aspects of their jobs. Im only posting this in hopes that their corporate or manager see and they turn it around, because I like shopping at Sam Ash and hate Guitar Center.
My spouse shopped at Sam Ash frequently to purchase/upgrade equipment which is why I was familiar with the store. The store owner/manager, Barron, was fabulous assisting me. He was most trustful and communicated frequently throughout our transactions. If you’re looking for a store to address your music equipment needs, I highly recommend.
Nice store, good selection of guitars and amps.
An absolutely wonderful experience. I called ahead and they had my product ready when I arrived. One of the few businesses that still care about the customer experience.
Love this place, consistently get outstanding customer service. Somehow maintains a small business feel lot, even with the stock and backing of a national chain.
Sam Ash never disappoints to point you to exactly what you need and amazing customer service!
Great guys at the Cobb Parkway store, always helpful and in a good mood. My favorite guitar setup came from this shop, always happy to go back.
The store was filthy and they had very little stock on hand. i’ve been in bodegas that were nicer than this.
I’ve never experienced such great customer service at a guitar shop before. You won’t get that at the larger store chains out there. They had an incredible stock of just about any instrument you can think of and they carried the Martin guitar that I’ve been searching for. If you want a genuinely nice and caring Sales Manager then talk to Barron. He’s fantastic.
Top of the line stuff and great customer service. It was my first time and I was treated very well. Definitely will be returning and buying a lot more stuff. I love over an hour south from Sam Ash music, but its definitely worth the drive. Looking forward to coming back soon!
I had a great experience shopping here today. The store was very neat and organized and the staff were very nice and easy to work with. They had a great selection of stuff especially guitar pedals and had no issue letting me test drive one which I purchased. Great experience!
It was awesome. Such a great service from Chris in the keyboard department. He gave me all I needed with the best affordable prices. Thanks.
Ricky, the guitar tech at Sam Ash Atlanta, did a setup for me on an Ibanez Mikro Bass. I wanted to use a heavier gauge string that the stock variety, so he had to file the nut to accept them.Ricky has worked on a number of my guitars over the past few years and always does an excellent job. He’s a good guy. Knows his business and is easy to deal with.Highly recommended.
The associate helped tremendously with product recommendations, considering my particular set up and goals. I asked him to hit a price point - he got me the best solution to meet my budget.
Chris is the best salesperson Ive ever had the privilege to have help me.He came to my house I was so lost in my equipment I had bought and solved the problems and took on all that for me at no charge. Where else do you find a Chris Bowman? Now days nowhere. Ill always give him a 5 star review.Thank You ChrisIm very happy now!!Bruce LlewellynOwner Old South BBQ Smyrna
Our sales person, Alex, was knowledgeable, super friendly & engaging. He was awesome!
I’ve been coming here for all my kids musical needs! Keyboard, violin, piano, and cello! Best music store in town and Ricky (their service guy) is my favorite! He’s a keeper!! Thanks for always taking care of me, Ricky!
Sam Ash is great! They replaced a guitar string and tuned the guitar for free - they are super nice and helpful. Thank you so much, we’ll be back!!
This is very good music instrument store in Atlanta, you could find everything related to music, store workers are very much experienced
Quick turn around on repair and set-up and great results!
Thanks to the amazing staff at Sam Ash. Associate Benjamin Humkey I needed a band book for my son. My GPS stated I wouldn’t arrive until 7:02 he waited on me to make sure I got the book. Thanks so much shout out to Benjamin
Ive shopped here for years literally since 07 Ive bought Fantom keyboards, sets of live PA sound equipment, DJ controllers, mixing boards, and various miscellaneous things. And all has been well. Unfortunately, I have an outstanding issues with a ac adapter for my Yamaha Mix8. I dealt with gentleman named Baron and hes who took my order for 2 replacement adapters. However only one came. I called to inform him of this and he assured me hed take care of it. However, its been months now and the second adapter that I paid for has never came. At this point Im just leaving a review with hope that this wont happen anymore from the management side as again Ive not had bad customer service but an outstanding item that never came.
Had what I was looking for quite unexpectedly found a great deal
Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Music stores can be intimidating for beginners, but the staff here make sure everyone feels comfortable.
Was able to attain a few new musical accoutrements!
Ben in drums is truly a pleasure to work with!!
Ricky B is their guitar tech. His service is outstanding. His knowledge of products is excellent. Made me feel Sam Ash was a local mom and pop store. And, he does great tech work as well.
Let me start off by saying I love the big selection yet personal touch of Sam Ash. I would much rather do business with them than the other big music store a couple miles closer to my house. Every time I’ve been in the store I’ve been met by a very friendly and well-qualified person. This last time was no exception. Tim Church was an awesome help. Very easy to talk with and did everything in his power to assist me. I’m a Sam Ash customer for life!!!!
Great selection of instruments and parts. The staff in knowledgeable and very helpful. Zac in particular is a great rep with technical understanding.I especially like being able to pull parts that I would otherwise need to order online and wait 3-10 days to receive (plus pay shipping).Parking is adequate. Prices are extremely competitive.
The staff was very knowledgeable and help me decide on which keyboard was right for me.
A gig saver. All the other so called instrument and equipment stores were out.of what I needed for a gig that day. Chriss and.the.Sam.Ash crew came through
Bought a Guitar, mic stand, strap, guitar stand, and P. A. System. Barron was very knowledgeable and helpful. Was a bit underwhel.ed by the pa so I returned it. No problems there either. All in all, I would say the experience compared to the local guitar center 😤, has earned them a lifelong customer
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though they had a smaller staff due to covid-19, I was still helped, got everything I needed and any questions answered. The guitar tech did a very nice job changing the pickups on my guitar. It sounds amazing. Thank you doo much S.A.M.S
Sam Ash is great! I bit the bullet and bought a keyboard with amp and microphone and the staff was great. They were kind and went above and beyond for my wants and needs.
Excellent customer service. My sons violin string broke and technician at Sam Ash fixed it without charge while offering great advice about maintenance for our violin. Much appreciated by a middle schooler mom who knows nothing about violins!
I walked into the store and was never greeted by anyone. The store is well supplied, so I was easily able to find what I needed, however no one was stationed in the respective area. I greeted a staffer coming from the back of the store, as well as another stationed in the Keys/PA area and only got a brief greetings back. No one ever asked if I needed assistance. Very disappointing. (Smh)
I send all my clients to Sam Ash on Cobb Parkway! The customer service is amazing, the staff super knowledgeable and they take such great care of my clients. They help fit with instruments that dont break the budget, and are appropriate for the size and intention of the student. And they have great inventory to choose from. They are wonderful all around!
Excellent selection in my opinion, full with drum kits, band/orchestra equipment and knowledgeable staff.
I love sam ash one of the better music stores around the atlanta metro area
Great staff and selection. Prices are competitive. Reminds me of a blend of Guitar Center meets old school music store with one on one support to find your gear.
Had what I needed, knowledgeable service and helpful tips on things I might buy in the future.
My son, my dad, and myself came in for a starter violin for middle school. Eric was AWESOME. He was patient with this once elementary, middle, and high school violin player, as I asked questions. Im excited to have Sam Ash as part of our family. They have great prices and employees. We will be back when he has his growth spurt, but probably before. I am ready to get back into the orchestra. Thanks Sam Ash.
I sopped in to get information about putting together a wireless PA system to replace the one Ive been using for 15 years. The person I spoke to was quite knowledgeable about the equipment and was very helpful. After asking me a few questions about my needs, he showed me some options and I was able to narrow the possibilities to something that will work for my needs. It was a great experience and all of my questions were answered. This was even after I made it clear that I was gathering information on this visit only and not yet ready to buy. Thank you so much. When I am ready, now I know where to shop.
A fantastic store, certainly better than guitar center! Plus it’s really nice to see classical instruments in there as well. Honestly this was about to be a 3 star review except one person in your store made it 5 stars. 10 stars if I could. I really can’t say enough about Kamau. Spends the time with you and answers any questions you may have. From someone that has worked in the retail industry as a manger for over 15 years- you’ve got one hell of an employee.
Sam Ashi is the bomb!! I get all of my music equipment from there. The my have the BEST customer service & they know MUSIC!
Friendly *and knowledgeable* staff, big open areas and not cramped, and a wide inventory of everything from classical to electric instruments. They were very happy to let me try out several guitars, and patient while I played the same song on each one for comparison. The staff gave me background on the guitars in stock, describing their features and tones, which as a beginner I found so helpful to now know which have a more rock tone and which are better for a jazz and blues sound. Im definitely coming back for my next instrument. Thank you, guys!
Customer service was excellent! We were in and out and I really appreciated that!
Bait and switch - Went to buy a new Marshall MX212AR cab in Atlanta Sam Ash and when I asked about 10% off for being retired military, the salesman said I can get the 10% discount. He then rang it up and told me the price and it was only 7 dollars less than the regular price, ( it should have been 25 dollars less). I asked again about the 10% percent off that he said I could get and he said the system wouldn’t give it due to the current economic situation. It’s obvious the system didn’t tell him that and he only mentioned giving me 10% off to get me to buy it as he didn’t mention it until after he rang it up. Never going back.
The times I have been in the store have always been great. Definitely superior to some of the other big name music stores. Large selection and the staff have always been helpful.
They have a ton of gear available but more importantly the employees are unmatched. Theyre always ready to help in whatever way they can. Also the setup plan they offer is an absolute steal and a reason to shop there in itself.
Top quality gear, very knowledgable staff. Friendly environment; perfect for beginner or professional musicians.
Chris was very helpful and the selection of microphone selection and the price was right.
I needed a replacement power cord for my keyboard ASAP. My local Sam Ash (Clearwater, FL) didn’t have one in stock, but tracked one down for me at the Cobb County store and provided their contact info. David in Pro Audio was able to help me purchase and ship (Tampa Bay Area) the cord within the time I needed it. Thanks for meeting and exceeding my expectations Sam Ash!
This was my first time going in there. Positive experience overall. Im not sure if the instrument I got is considered new or what but it looks used to me. Anyway, theyre close to my house so I figured Id try them versus some further away one in Atlanta traffic. They offer a maintenance plan in case something breaks or just for routine maintenance in the instrument.
I am new to the guitar world and needed extra help and had a lot of questions. All my questions were answered and he spent adequate time helping me get what I needed. For these reasons I purchased from him and not a major competitor. I will return in the future.
Excellent service. Wendell repaired two violins for me and did a fantastic job in a short amount of time. He is very knowledgeable and incredibly nice to work with. Everyone on staff that I came in contact with at this store was so helpful and so nice. This was my first experience at Sam Ash, and they will absolutely have my business going forward. I won’t be going anywhere else.
Tim was great! Very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I drove 40 miles here because the Guitar Center, thats literally in my neighborhood didnt have a headphone amp in stock and I needed it that day. Well, guess who got a new customer?!!
Nice store! Great place to go and look around. There is a lot of inventory to check out. The stuff isnt all beat up like I notice at Guitar Center. The staff was courteous. I new what I wanted so I didnt really need sales help. I called before I went in and they had the amp I was looking for new and in the box. They took my name over the phone and set it aside. Smooth transition when I got there to pay and pick it up.
Ricky took special care of my guitar and provided prompt and friendly service— he went out of his way to make sure we found a repair time that worked for me. Thank you Sam Ash Music!
Great place! Awesome stuff
Was meeting a friend there and arrived early. The counter guys were very friendly and I enjoyed talking and looking at all the music stuff. There was a guy testing a guitar and he was amazing just to listen to his tinkering around. VERY enjoyable experience even for a non-music guy.
Well, good luck getting help in the drum room when you need it. I was there around 3:45pm yesterday and the store was pretty much empty. I was in the drum room grabbing sticks and there was no one in there. Only at the point where I decided to go up front and pay did a couple of guys wander in there, one carrying food. Neither of them asked me if I needed any help. Truth is, I didnt, but thats not the point. And this is why so many people buy on-line now. Disappointed.
Great variety of items in the store. the cashier that attended was friendly and courteous. great prices too. I did a comparison on an item I bought and Sam Ash had the best price. great place to shop for your musical needs. will do back again.
Ricardo gave excellent service! I needed speakers for my gigs and he took the time to explain exactly how to choose which speaker I should purchase. Being able to get the warranty with Sam Ash was the reason I chose to purchase here over others with flexible payment terms. I will be purchasing with Sam Ash again when I need an upgrade. Service is always great at Sam Ash!
Such a fun store to visit. Their extensive collection of instruments available for purchase is impressive. The store is nice and big, so if you are trying instruments, you wont feel like youre trying to play over the person next to you.
Huge Music Store! Customer Service was Great!!
They had...in stock...the guitar AND the case I wanted !!!Been Sam Ash-ing since 1972 at the Hempstead LI store ...now the Atlanta store in 2020 .
Impressive display of affordable, quality, guitars and amps. Knowlegable attentive staff there to help while giving customer plenty of space to look and test out equipment. All around a good vibe.
Good place. They have a ton of gear and instruments just like guitar center - even more selection maybe. Id say they have a larger selection of band instruments, violins, saxophones than guitar center. Otherwise similar. Guitar center has more selection of high end gear.I noticed several of the electric guitars I tested, mostly $400 to $1000 strats, needed a better setup and/or had finicky electronics (scratchy knobs, signal cutting out). I would recommend they do a better job with setting up each guitar and testing before selling. For instance Maple Street guitars in Buckhead really insures their guitars are set up expertly and they send less than optimal guitars back to the factory, making sure their inventory is all professional quality.
The trumpet player helped me buy the stuff I needed to get my 100 year old Bundy playing again! Thanks guys!
