We were walking around our neighborhood one day and noticed an unusually nice fence from Rainier Fence & Decking. Our fence and backyard deck railing was long overdue for replacement. Doug came by and did a quick assessment and sent us a quote. It was a little higher than I expected but, then again, wood costs a lot more now and the extra seemed reasonable and doable. I got quotes to do the front fence and the back deck railing. I decided to do the two jobs in two different stages (what if one of them doesnt go well?). So I signed what I thought was the front fence job. They were heavily backlogged (now I know why) and finally came on the third try (dont blame for that). Vlad showed up all ready to do our our back deck railing. No, youre doing the front fence, I said. Turns out I was the dummy that signed the wrong work order. Well, that was also a total blessing in disguise. My wife had wanted the back deck rail first anyway(didnt realize that). We frantically moved everything off the deck so Vlad could do his work. He did an absolutely superb job dealing with unexpected challenges around a shed gutter. He did masterful carpentry work. The quality we got was exquisite and they were eminently patient with my screw up. Im looking forward to them doing the front yard fence! Super quality and professional work.
Our sales associate Jim Brown made this experience very positive from start to finish. Our installers were professional, polite, and did A+ work! We made a big investment in 80 of high-end fencing and the Value was beyond our expectations. Rainier Fencing has top notch employees, uses quality materials, and we have been recommending them to all our friends, family and neighbors. I HIGHLY recommend Rainier Fencing.Dean A, Browns Point, WA
Rainier Fencing is the absolute WORST customer service and quality fencing company in all of Greater Seattle!1. The WORST customer service - Before my fence collapsed about 3 weeks ago, I called Rainier Fencing for an estimate for them to come out and see if they can better secure my fence. Neil Archibald is the person that came out for the estimate work. Like others who commented about never hearing back from them, I can attest to it that it is all true. Every week I would call Neil, and NOT ONCE did he return my call. I called the office and they would say that Neil is either out with another customer or working on another project but again, Neil would never return my call or give me an estimate that he came out to do in the first place. If this is how they treat a repeated customer, think about how they would treat their new customers!!! Once they get your money, you can expect they will never be heard of again.2. The absolute WORST quality and craftsmanship – Fast forward to today in less than 4 years, our fence finally collapsed due to the no action taken by Rainier Fencing. 4 years ago, we had Rainier Fencing came out and built a fence for us for our backyard. A normal fence would last 10 to 15 years but not ours, at least not one built by Rainier Fencing, it didnt even make it to 4 years. After our fence collapsed, I was able to inspect our fence and saw that the posts they put in had ONLY gone 1 FEET into the ground and they secured it with ONLY 1 bag of cement. Knowing that we are up in the hills in a windy area, they should have dug deeper and secure the posts with more cement. This proofs how incompetent these guys are what kind of craftsmanship you can expect if you go with Rainier Fencing.A picture is worth more than a thousand words, I hope everyone will learn from my costly mistake and avoid Rainier Fencing.
Rainier built a panel fence and a metal gate for our home. Jim Brown, who came out to bid, was a delight to work with. He was very patient in answering a number of questions during and after the bid. The bid was very reasonable. The company is very popular, so it took me a while to get them scheduled, but the crew arrived on the date we agreed to and completed the job very professionally. The team was very courteous and thorough - particularly Austin who was very nice to work with. He was my interface to the rest of the crew. They made a few adjustments per my request while working on the job. Deborah at the front office was very easy to work with with my questions on billing.Overall, this was one of the better companies I worked with in a while.
Pricing was very competitive, and their team was timely, efficient and very precise. Demo and new fence was complete in two days and they were so friendly. Our fence looks fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone, anytime.
We were scheduled for two days to install our fencing. The installers took only one day, work was done to our satisfaction! This was during the heavy 9 snow fall and we did delay for one day to start the job. Very hard workers, and they did a great job! Looks beautiful! We would highly recommend this Co.
They gave us a cost estimate (not something we signed) and told us they could in stall the 2 small fence sections in 2 weeks. the date got repetitively delayed for almost two months. This year when we turned on our sprinkler system we discovered that they had chopped through one of the water lines when digging the post hole. When I called about this I was informed that the written estimate was a contract and that said contract informed us that they would not be responsible for repairing such damages. The small fence sections cost us almost $2000 (we had agreed to the amount simply because they originally told us the fence would be installed in 2 wks) and then to find out we have to cover the cost of their damage. Not happy
