First time visiting and so glad our group of 3 stopped in! The spacious MCM couch atmosphere is as welcoming as the owner! Great breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The owners congeniality slows the line down a bit, but thats exactly why you go : to enjoy the food and your friends company. Great hang!

I overheard the owner request his employee only half steam my toddler sons mocha maple oat milk so he doesn’t burn his mouth.Safe, fun, comfortable spaecial atmosphere for whole family. High end Maine roasts. Excellent service. Better prices than Starbs or Dunkin.

This coffee shop is among the best I have ever visited. They are welcoming people and their Macchiato, cappuccino, and latte game is flawless. This is worth the detour when you pass through Augusta.

Cute cute cute!! ✨ I just moved to Augusta from the Calais area for work and I immediately started looking for cute cafes. This seemed to be the first one on the list so I had to try it.Very clean, very welcoming, and the vibe was nice. I got a giggle out of the signs they had, especially the one out front Buy 2 coffees pay for both of them lol.When I came in the lovely lady inside greeted me with a big smile and she made me the best oat milk iced chai Id had in a while. Was hoping to get a bagel with cream cheese but I think since I showed up later in the day they were sold out. I got this vegan oat bar instead and it is still very good! Its been several hours and Im still trying to finish it because its so filling but very tasty!I will be definitely going back (probably frequently) and hopefully bringing friends once Corona dies down. Ive got my eye on a jar of Elderberry syrup they have there as well!

Felt like we stepped into the small time life. The Barista knew everyone that walked in the door. It was absolutely lovely.

I tried the breakfast sandwich today with sausage. It was fantastic! Light roast coffee did not disappoint and conversation with customers topped it off.

My siblings and I were visiting from Minnesota, and we had an awesome experience. The barista was soo helpful with my family members that weren’t coffee connoisseurs aiding them in finding the right drink choice. The espresso was perfect, didn’t sit too long and feel burnt. We got a rose honey latte, blueberry cortado, honey cortado, and a blueberry latte. Very quaint place, highly recommend!

We recently visited Augusta Maine and had to try the coffee at Huiskamer Coffee House. We heard the coffee was excellent. While wewere enjoying our coffee, we met the owner, Grace. She was a lot of fun! The atmosphere at Huiskamer’s is warm, relaxing and friendly. Love it!-Carmela H

Grace was absolutely hilarious, wonderful, and created some of the best coffee Ive ever had in my life. We stayed in the area, and when walking down town had our attention grabbed by her chalk board, which I thought was gold. and ended up coming back before we left just because we loved the atmosphere, coffee, and welcoming attitude grace provided. It is incredibly obvious, she doesnt just enjoy what she does. But loves it. If I ever come back to Maine, I would make a point to stop back here. 11/10 service, and 12/10 coffee.

Visted the shop for the first time. Very nice place. Had a cup of dark roast coffee which was great. Was very quiet when I was there in mid afternoon on Saturday. Cant always be busy, but for my first visit made it a nice visit. The girl at the counter was very pleasant and helpful. I will make the shop a regular place to visit.

Update your hours!!! Drove fifteen minutes off the highway to support a local business and you’re not open. Annoying

I stopped here just to check out the coffee. It was super. I had a small cup of coffee that was brewed to perfection. The molasses cookie I had was good too. The two really complimented each other.

The coffee is amazing and the staff is friendly! Great variety of food as well. Besides the coffee I really enjoy just relaxing by the fireplace. Highly recommend!!

A jewel of a coffee shop with many choices to fit all tastes. I am partial to the cold brew as it has a smooth coffee flavor without the acidic after-bite. Also it packs a nice little caffeine buzz for my morning wake up. In the mood for food? The bakery case always has some amazing treats for you as well as the home made soups and pasta salads. The best part is the owners and staff that are ready to assist you with finding the right pour to bring that coffee smile to your face... you know what I’m talking about, the rich coffee smell and the first sip that makes the day brighter.

So happy to have this awesome coffee house in town! Stopped in the other day and the mushroom soup was delicious, but their hot chocolate was the best Ive ever had! The staff also made hot chocolate for my kids at a lower temp so they could drink it right away without even being asked, super awesome attention to detail. This probably isnt a place to eat-in with little kids, just because its so cute inside and Id be nervous my kids would tear it apart... But this in a perfect place to sit for a chat with other adults.

Checked this place out after meeting one of the owners just outside the door. Nicest young man. Havent tried any of the many flavors of coffee yet, but checked out their yummy pastries provided by B & T from Pittston

Great prices for the area, and the perfect sanctuary for a hot day in the summer. Nice find in such an old downtown area- with friendly baristas! I tried the cold brew and It kept me running all day long!

A locally owned and run coffee house in Augusta cannot be overstated in importance, when national chains are the only other option.

Wanted to love this place considering its the only coffee house in downtown Augusta...but Ive been twice and the coffee is so watered down I had to dump it both times. Even ordered an americana WITH an additonal shot of expresso and it was like drinking brown flavored water. Am I missing something, is the style of this coffee supposed to taste super weak?Staff is friendly, space is clean, bright, stylish. Maybe things will change?
