Completely void of ANY customer service here. I have bought 1000’s of $$ here and donate to them just about every month. The ONE time I buy some thing that doesn’t work I cannot trade it for some thing else! I know this is your policy but maybe you can ask ‘are you a loyalty member’ and look at my account and see how many things I’ve bought over and over and over. And they told me there’s a coupon for 20% off from when I have donated over and over. I’ve never seen this coupon. I have bought over and over and never received one of these coupons off, I’ve only ever received the normal promotion that’s happening. Again there’s other solutions than just being a hard a$$ and being a complete butt when you’ve got a loyalty customer standing in front of you!!
I have been able to find many items for me home rehab at very affordable prices.
I have shopped here for several years and have loved coming here. I ALWAYS found stuff that I could use at a fair price, and have spent a lot of $ here. However, after the “Great Clean Up” of 1999/2000, everything is overpriced! Seriously, many items are cheaper at Menard’s down the block! I will come in, and leave empty handed due to a feeling of being “taken” buying donated goods. ReStore needs to get back to their original mission, not maximum profit possible. BTW I have also donated heavily to the store!
I went in there they told me I couldnt use cash I had to use a check twice I went in there not as good as it used to be
Not sure why I come here anymore. Some items are cheaper at big box hardware stores. Today, the guy taking donations at the back was rude and seemed annoyed to be there. Maybe mandated to volunteer? If so then I guess I understand. I like the cause, but wish the pricing reflected the quality.
They have so much if your working on a home improvement project. I love coming to this store.
This place is the best for those looking to fix up their home on a budget.
Fair prices for new an used building supplys an home decor
I only recently learned of this place. I love what they stand for. Great pricing and they have way more stuff than I would have imagined. I bought all new matching lighting fixtures for the second floor of my house. I just love them.
So I had read the reviews and then my husband and I went to the store and They really dont have much to offer at all. Most of the people the had reviewed this store is right.. Their pricing is off the charts like too high for things that are half damaged. You can go to Facebook market and find things cheaper. Never going back. Sorry. Not much to offer.
I gave them a 5 for the things I seen on the website havent made it there yet but I already know I will luv it !!!
Well organized. Good supply of different product. Prices are a bit high on some things. They do offer discounts so watch for those. Great supply of replacement Windows. Unfortunately, I need new construction :( I visited 3 restores this week. I liked this restore the best. Great lighing. Some things werent marked for price. I did look at the paint. Hard to know what is in those cans as most of the ones i looked at had no color. Nah, I wont be buying surprise paint!
Great place to find gently used items for household items. Every Friday and Saturday they have some form of discounts .
Great place, go here before the big box home stores. Dont pay retail unless you have to.
HIDDEN GEM of a place to purchase items! Old...new.mixed bag😊👍
I come here at least once a week as a handyman and contractor. One of the best Non-profit organizations in the world. God Bless Jimmy Carter.
Some of the prices are outrageous and some of the employees need a little more customer service training
Nicely laid out, lots to choose from
Find great deals on furniture here. I love it!
Good for home repair articles
Management has bed and breakfast sale tables chairs, cabinets, bedroom beds and tables, dining room table, chairs, cabinets at 30% off! The only problem is the manager called a buffet table a hutch? We disagreed with his description of the table, he responded rudely its a hutch so no discount while walking away from us, very unprofessional, and rude, and probably falls into the fraud category.
Found lots of things I can use to fix some things in the house
Great. Deals
Ruth is the best shopkeeper in the world!!!
Good place for used home improvement items. Great service, donations, and great variety of items. Prices have become a little pricey over the years. Gave them 4 stars due to their volunteer work. I recommend volunteering just for the experience. Keep up the great work.
We have been to the Fox Valley Restore and love it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We usually find something that we could use to re do our house. Keep up the good work.
If you go here on the right day you can find some awesome deals. Ive gotten a brand new king headboard, a designer metal dining table, and numerous other things. If you love to refinish or redo furniture this is the perfect place. Happy shopping
Good place for a good cause!
We were looking for a replacement patio door and we found one for a great price. Lots of goid bargains. A good place to shop for household items. Helpful staff.
Love it has everything for causes! The attention and service .unbelievably awesome. Thks
I good place to look for something you dont wanna pay full price. Just do your DD before you go there. Some are priced really high. You can buy it brand new
They clean the place so good, that they dont have hardly nothing to sell.
So went there to fined a White Elephant gift and we found a good one . They have lots of fun and cute little nick knacks on one side of there store. Also the people who work there where very nice and laughed with us the whole time we where picking out stuff. (both the wrapped gift being a giant picture and the stocking came from here)
Love ts of super bargins for any project you are doing around the house. Many used but a lot of new things also. If you have never been there you gotta check it out.
Good service
Good alternative for restoration, good price and help at same time.
Great place where you can find materials for your home projects at a fraction of the cost that you would find at a big box store. Used items but great quality
Best deals !! Cheaper then goodwill and they have tons of home renovation stuff ..
What a cool place! We just got a dining room set for under $100! Everything you need for your home like lighting fixtures, doors, windows, toilets, tools, furniture and more! All at a great price and you are helping a great cause. Whether you rent or own, this place is a must visit.
Restore has a lot of odds and ends for the home renovator. Left overs from projects, a few of these and thats. If you dont mind used cabinets they seem to have some nice choices that vary all Id the time. My find... a really sturdy wood chair for $25. Perfect for some artistic painting seems a bright new cushion for my porch.
Lots of great furniture for a great price, and It feels great to be able to furnish your home, save money, and give back to the community at the same time
Some very good bargains at this location. it s hard to go there and not pick up something useful that you would pay 3 or 4 times more at other stores. Yes some stuff is used but occasionally you can find new stuff for much less.
Mostly filled with items that were from a hotel or motel. A decent selection on some items, but you need to watch the pricing... Make sure you open up your door and hinge. Still, theres some nice gems here.
Hard to go to this store and not pick up something for your kitchen or bathroom. I am not interested in the furniture as much but I like the kitchen and bathroom accessories . Also a great variety of light fixtures and bulbs. Very good prices too.
Love love love love this place! Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I have also scored some great items here. I send everyone I know here to get things. Great for vintage swag, crafting ideas, decor galore and lots of fix it up stuff. I could spend all day here just wandering around and dreaming of everything I would love to buy and make :) Thank you all for everything you do!!!
Me and my family shop here on a regular basis. We love all the great deals and the DIY project ideas given to us by the employees and volunteers. Everyone is really helpful and friendly. Its a great place to shop. Its also good to know that all the money they make from our purchases goes to our local Habitat for Humanity.I suggest you stop in and check it out.
I ALWAYS find a treasure here
Always a great place to find a bargain on building supplies, furniture and even tools. If you are into upcycling, or want to start; or if you just want to help the great mission at Habitat for Humanity, stop by and see what treasures you can find at Restore. You wont be sorry.
The best Restore we have seen. Friendly, neat and tidy.
Great place to find home improvement projects on a budget. Since this place is based off donations, you never know what you may find. This can be considered good or bad depending on what youre looking for. Overall, its fun to go to these places and see whats for sale.
I love the concept behind this store. Reuse, reduce, recycle. Always find some great bargains in furniture, housewares, home repair and maintenance. Plenty of helpful staff and volunteers.
A large store with plenty of items to choose from. Employee was very helpful, checking in on me and answering questions as I walked the store. Very over priced considering age and condition of much of the merchandise.
Gigantic selection of all sorts of ever changing random things. Prices were great. Quality depends on what they have at the time.
Good cheap things, friendly people.
Are you a handyman? Do you like to save money? This is the place to be.
A lot of things possibly of good quality. Bigger store than my home town. Too bad I dont live close.
It use to be a place where you can find a hidden treassure or buy good things for the house at a good price.
Wish I had know about this place years age. Clean and organized
Very nice store if you want to donate .Great place to buy if you dont need anything brand new .
Love coming here when we do remodles. Which is all the time
Its very good for what it is. you can get some decent buys on things you need sometimes but not always it depends upon what they get in. And all the people who work there are volunteers who I have found to be helpful.Anyone who gets upset about the service needs to get their head out of their arse and find the door.
I can recommend this store to all doit yourselfers who need material and hardware to create something cool. The used furniture section is always interesting. Allow yourself time to shop or you may not find the good stuff.
The management and staff here needs a SERIOUS attitude adjustment. Especially Juan (the manager) and Miguel, the electrical guy. They treat you like an idiot and have no interest in helping their customers. Its all about selling things their way, at astoundingly high prices no less. Dont waste your time with these clowns. Youll likely come out ticked off, empty-handed, or both.
Never quite sure what had been donated for purchase. Prices arent always as low as Id like but it is for charity. Great place to donate lots of stuff that I might have tossed because Goodwill wouldnt be the place to give used or even unused building materials.
Well organized but too pricey
Their stock is really low these days.
Since I moved to Naperville I have frequented the Restore. Have done many DIY project thanks to items purchased here. Always a good variety and is well organized. Frequently have 30, 40 or 50% off sales and a good selection of items. People are always friendly and happy to help. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to save some money for any home projects.
This place always fascinates me. Come for the deals, but stay to be inspired by all the things you can do with the wide array of ever changing inventory on hand.
Good place to go when you need anything at a good price and for a good cause
Great food! Good service! A tad pricey for a breakfast place but the good quality is very high and the portions are large.
Being a first time home owner we are always looking for bargains. Especially when it comes to home improvement. This place is always cycling out stuff and has good odds and ends.
Such a great place supporting a great organization!
They are always very friendly and help us lift heavy things. I like that you can pay for an item and come pick it up later. There is a sign that SAYS they dont negotiate on prices but they have a few times for us. My crafty daughter loves this place because she Vann find used building materials, tools, pallets and pvc at great prices for her many projects. Inventory changes regularly, so if you see an item at a good price, you should buy it up quickly because they may not have it again for a long time.
Not sure how they price things but some stuff is great others are way overpriced
Can get some great deals and a good cause!
A lot of useful things if you are remodeling. Items are definitely used and not always in the best of shape but if dont mind putting in the work to get them back into shape it might be worth it.. Pricing is a little on the high side .
You can find some really good deals for your home projects. The store was well organized.
Poor selection, rude staff. Goodwill and Salvation Army are cleaner, less expensive, and easier to purchase from.Expensive for things that arent broken, cheap for very broken/very damaged things. Dont get me wrong, I like to upcycle and fix. But when its $250 for a very scratched table thats only $300 brand new, I get a little iffy. And when its $30 for a cabinet that is disintegrating from water damage, has no handles or top, and the doors have snapped off at the inside hinges, I get *very* iffy.Staff is intensely rude. You have to track them down when you need anything, and there are always too few floor employees. They always act like youre bothering them because you want to make a purchase, but theres no way to buy an item without an employees help. Theyre also very disorganized. Today we visited, and I was scolded for wanting to purchase a kitchen cart without a top. It wasnt marked as not for sale, and it was on the selling floor, but no, apparently its being given a top by an employee (despite being in the area of items for sale). It wasnt for sale, I was told with much scolding. Nice customer service there. Its a shame. They used to be quite good and reasonable, but I dont think well be going back again. Back to CraigsList, Salvation Army, and Goodwill. I dont like being insulted by employees and by quality-to-price ratios.
Found just what I needed at a very reasonable price - a countertop for the wall we opened up at my parents’ house.
Awesome selections and great price. I was able to get a lower price on 2 things. Also very friendly and helpful workers.
Have to be selective in what you buy, but good to give business to support a good cause
One of my favorite ReStores, interesting selection with very great funds at good prices. This store is in the traditional ReStore format rather than the more upscale, higher priced version some of Habitats stores have.
Beware !This store has changed. They have raised pricesSelling over priced and defective materials with a no return policy.
I read the reviews before I went. Had to laugh as I entered the store and noticed the chilly reception from the cashier. She seemed annoyed that I walked in. Thought it was just me. Til I was almost run down by a guy with a dolly bringing in more furniture. He was quite irritated that I was in the way. Great selection but very rude employees. Every habitat store Ive been to the staff were great. Not so here. Makes a big difference. lol. I will stick to one that Im allowed to ask questions and walk around freely.
I am being generous with the one star! The people who work there are soooooooooooo rude! The manager, I can only assume (he acts like he is) is so disrespectful to the people who come there to shop. He is very curt, and loud. If this company is looking to help people out, then they need to hire staff who make customers feel welcome.
They have a little bit of everything. Best bet to find lighting, furniture, and kitchen cabinets and appliances.
Selection decreasing lately
Solid see tion of DIY supplies, tools, and decent second hand furniture and appliances.
NEVER DONATE, SHOP, VOLUNTEER OR WORK AT THIS PLACE. If i could give this place no stars I would. I went to this place to at attend their orientation for volunteers 5/7/16. When i arrived the first person I ran into to ask about the meeting was this lady who looked of Latin descent with black hair and stood about 59. She was not friendly, rude rather. I brushed it off, thinking maybe it was just me. About 5 minutes later this Caucasian lady with sandy colored hair who stood close to the same height as the other lady and seemed to be pregnant. She seemed to have a more pleasant demeanor. She took the orientation group of about 4 people to the back office and sat us down in chairs. I happened to be sitting in front of one of their computers. As the lady was speaking going over details, some guy who is about medium weight size, stands about 59 with loose salt and pepper colored hair he looks more of Spanish descent. I wish i knew all thier names so i could state them. He stands next to my chair, than rudely exasperated for the whole room to hear. He than says to me, I quote move. Just like that as if hes talking to an animal. I turn to him and say sorry thinking I misheard. He than says again with the same tone move. So I say to him, do you know how to ask politely? The Caucasian lady than says to me thats our front end manager. You can leave! I asked wait, I have to leave? She says yea, you can leave. I got up and said wow, you guys are very disrespectful. As I was walking out of the room the guy says all I said was move.If this is supposed to be a place that helps people in need why do the staff have no people skills. I feel sorry for the staff who work under them and the customers who have to deal with them. I cant believe there are businesses that support this sort of behavior.I will be contacting this companys president, and posting this all over the web. This situation can be interpreted many ways, especially discriminatory by name. NEVER DONATE, SHOP, VOLUNTEER OR WORK AT THIS PLACE!
This store is great, clean an well organized, unlike the Elgin store that is a dirty mess
If your patient, you can find some nice gems at a great price!
Restore is Habitat For Humanity. Better than good goodwill pricing. Find anything from windows, cabinets, tile, carpet and furniture.
This place has a lot of great interesting stuff, from used furniture to lighting fixtures, paint and painting supplies and much more, and the proceeds goes to a great cause, houses built by habitat
I would buy anything lectronic out of there
Nice prices and they get new stuff all the time.
Sometimes you find some good things here but Ive found that the last couple times I was there, they have over priced the majority of their things drastically. Better off looking on Offer up and save your money..
