Tredwell is a really cool and trendy coffee shop in Downtown Aurora.My family stopped in for breakfast one Sunday morning and had an enjoyable breakfast. We enjoyed a couple different delicious tortas, a muffin and a mini pie. They were all delicious and they coffee was as well. It was smooth and didn’t taste burnt like a lot of house blend coffees.I’d recommend for locals who are looking for good coffee and breakfast items without any pretentiousness.

For a local shop, this is a great location to dip in for a basic coffee/latte. The seating indoors can be limited, but they have a nice outdoor section that features a pretty outlook of the river. It can definitely be kind of busy, but its not usually too loud so if you want to study or work, this is also a good place to go. The lattes are good, but not particularly unique.

Im still sitting here eating my chocolate muffin that is DIVINE. Incredibly friendly staff, amazing coffee, and high quality food. A lovely atmosphere, and I will definitely be returning! Also, they put hearts on my cup which just made me so happy.

This place has a great atmosphere and nicely decorated. The location is also pretty good, close to some small shops. The coffee itself is very delicious.

Tredwell is home for me. I LOVE IT HERE! The atmosphere is very inviting and peaceful. The people running the shop are some of the coolest people you would meet. The coffee is pretty amazing too. My favorite drink is a Honey Oat Latte made with Oat Milk. But as I said previously, everything here is good.good job

I tried Treadwell for the first time this morning. The young man at the counter was quite helpful. The sandwich maker was pleasant and had my sandwich ready before I was done ordering. The one star rating stems from the Amy Winehouse-wannabe barista who refused to make my pour over because she was too busy. Forcing the cashier and sandwich maker to pinch hit. After finishing my sandwich and waiting another 10 minutes, the coffee was abruptly tossed down on my table. Im not sure if it was malicious or incompetence but the coffee clearly had soap/detergent in it. The experience was quite frankly uncomfortable for all of the employees and me. It is unfortnate since Treadwell is 100 ft from my building.

Its a nice little coffee shop. We tried a regular hot coffee and cold brew. They were tasty but definitely a light roast, which is ok with me but my friend does like a darker roast. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, we didnt get to sit inside and enjoy our coffees. Overall is good, must try it. excellent

Outdoor seating is perfect because they allow you to bring your dogs. Have met the owner who is a down to earth guy. This place is loved by my whole family every time we want to go get coffee and a ham and egg torta this is the place we go. Better than Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts. My grandparents met the owners parents and said that even the owners parents are as amazing as the owner. Wish there was more photos of this hidden gem in the heart of downtown Aurora.

This was my 3rd visit to Treadwell and it did not disappoint. Today I had the White Hot Chocolate (can you say oh my gawd) and a Gluten Free Cookie Bar (oh my gawd again!). Easily one of my favorite must go stops when visiting Downtown Aurora!!

Love this place!As a local videographer Im here all the time, Great service, and even before I was a regular my hazelnut lattes are always on point. As far as food i recommend the Ham & egg Torta! Its only available until 11am, but they still accommodate my order even after that! Finally they even give a 10% discount to anyone who works in Downtown Aurora!

This is a cute coffee shop near the river. There is plenty of seating and there is also outdoor seating for warmer and nicer weather. The staff is super friendly, helpful and patient with my order. I got the almond and raspberry croissant along with a tea latte since they didnt have earl grey tea for my london fog but they were very accommodating. The price is fairly decent. Overall a great place to study or catch up with friends. Highly recommend people to come check this place out.

Great atmosphere inside and nice view of downtown and the river outside. The staff were nice and helpful. I ordered a hot white mocha with a few donuts to take home. My coffee was well balanced and delicious. I had a few donuts and pastries to pick from that included vegan, gluten free, and conventional options. This is a nice spot to take a break or grab something to take on the go.

I was in Aurora for a wedding last week. I used Google photos to choose between this coffee shop and another local one. I am really happy I chose Tredwell. The food & drinks are good and it’s honestly the cutest/most aesthetic place. They have a deck out back that overlooks the Fox River. I took a photo and added it to Maps because nothing else on here right now shows the full outdoor view. Highly recommend.

Best coffee shop in downtown Aurora in my opinion. I regularly walk in with large orders for my workspace, and the baristas have never messed up any of our drinks. It is on the more expensive side, but it’s worth it for the quality of coffee/tea and the excellent service.

Great local hangout along the river! Tasty food and handmade beverages. I always get a coffee, but my daughter enjoys the iced teas. They feature local artists on their walls, usually for sale.

Great caramel latte

This is a really great in and out place. They know coffee and they know tea and theyll get you your drink in a jiffy. However, I wouldnt recommend this as a good place for groups to hang out at. It is a very small location with cramped seating and little space inside. Tables are set up to give you the best view of incoming customers behinds, and trust me, the customers will keep pouring in (so lots of bottoms to behold as they bump into one another and maybe even you). This place is crowded, which is great for business, but not so good for just sitting at a table to try and enjoy a cup of coffee. The focus on speed also isnt great for lingering customers who might want to sit around for an hour or so and enjoy the ambiance of a cafe. There is a sense that as soon as your done you need to leave to make room for the next poor fellow who is foolish enough to sit down with his/ her drink.The food is alright, but not really the point of the place. This is definitely a cafe, but if you should order a sandwich be prepared to wait. Perhaps I went in on a day when they were training an employee which might be why it took so long, but regardless the sandwich came out about 15 minutes after my husband and I had finished our drinks. It was an okay sandwich, nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. Definitely go for their coffee or tea. Those are made perfectly.

Hands down my favorite place to grab a cup of coffee. I typically order a latte. The espresso has rich flavor with just a hint of bitterness, perfect. The drinks are always served at the perfect temperature. The staff is friendly and know how to make drinks. The baked goods are the perfect compliment to their drinks.

The location of the place is awesome, beautiful view of the river. The sandwich I order was delicious and the coffee was great. I wish they had more variety of choices in food and coffee. They didn’t have a lot of sweet coffee drinks (I guess that’s my preference of coffee). They also need music and the atmosphere was fair. The guy there didn’t seem to know about the menu when I asked him about their coffee and sandwiches. Cute place to on dates and hang outs.

4 stars for the cool experience of the cafe itself and the friendliness of the staff. I really enjoyed my experience here. Why not 5 stars? The coffee, for me, was really watered down. Even the dark roast was lacking flavor and body.

Love this coffee shop! Their coffee is delicious. They have a small menu, but its all very good. Its so cute inside, and if you go in the summer they have the best patio that overlooks the river. Stop in on first Fridays and they will have a musician. If you go here make sure you stop into Wyckwood next store! Its an adorable shop.

Great location in the river and excellent coffee and breakfast menu. Staff is very friendly and so accommodating. Quiet place if you need to work on your laptop or for networking meetings. I’ve become a regular. Definitely recommend to give it a try.

I found this quaint little coffee shop just a 3 minute walk from the Paramount Theater and 2 minutes from City Hall.The staff was very friendly and the coffee came out hot and perfect.The space has a great feel; very trendy and inviting. And there were a lot of patrons sitting down and chatting, so it was lively.I highly recommend.

The cold brew is outstanding. With cream it is like drinking dark chocolate. Great location with indoor and outdoor seating.

Cute place but staff was horrible and they are out of coffee at 8:30am. Creamer was empty and had to ask twice for them to fill it. Slow service. Ham and cheese breakfast sandwich was tasty. Probably wouldn’t go back due to their employees.

Treadwell often has live music. They make a great Earl Grey tea with milk, and offer a great view of the River. They also have a group in playing board games on Friday nights.

I got a large pumpkin chai and it was really good. Gf got it iced and thought it was too milky. Cant win them all. Overall nice environment with fresh hipster vibes. A welcome addition to the community!

A classic neighborhood coffee shop. Great tasting espresso- I usually get a quad latte, great tasting coffee as well and AWESOME tortas- light but satisfyingly filling so just the right size, very palatable. Friendly, consistent and knowledgeable staff. I love Tredwell.
