Such an unexpected place to get a copy of your car key. I called ahead and spoke to Patrick to ask for a price quote. I was impressed; just $30 for a “valet” (non-button) key copy including to cut it (this is for a Toyota Camry 2012). He happened to be the first person I saw when I arrived, and was just as friendly and helpful in person! Very quick service, even though they were pretty busy. I was in and out in under a half hour max.

Do NOT go to this location! Extremely rude!!I arrived to find no one in the store, I tried calling out but no answer so I called the number on the door. “I’m programming a battery so you’ll just have to wait” was the response I got. I will never go here. I am very understanding and I wasn’t mad that he was busy but that is not how you talk to people.

Ive been a customer of Batteries Plus off and on for years and years. This was my first experience in this location, because the two stores close to my home and former workplace closed as a result of COVID. The store associate named Nick assisted me today, and more than met the standard for being knowledgeable and personable. Batteries Plus is always about getting the RIGHT solution for the customer, not cutting corners. Nick knew exactly what I was talking about, and didnt act like he knows more than he does (like typical car parts store personnel.). Ill be back to this location again and am happy to know theres still a good Batteries Plus store in Austin, even if its a much longer drive from home. Well done, folks!

I drove into a nearly empty parking lot to eat at East Side King, which I haven’t been to in years. When walking up, I noticed the signs not to park near the fence, so I ordered, sat my daughter down at a table, and went to move my car. Guy was already there with a boot (maybe 10 minutes). It cost $100 to get it off. I think that’s extreme. A parking ticket would have sufficiently sent the message. Now I hate this business who has an owner that creepily watches people in the parking lot all day. I think it’s scam. It happened way too quickly. Beware!

Ordered 50 batteries here because of a commercial account. Not in stock, but they would get them from several local branches. I had to call to follow up on the order that had been sitting there paid and ready for a week. I look online with Home Depot (another account) and found them 2.5 times cheaper, EACH!! Gougers! Never again!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. My workplace has an account with this company. I reached out a few days prior to confirm they had the necessary parts. They ordered them and confirmed they would follow up when they arrived. They never followed up and I had To reach out a week later. (Not an issue, we all lose track of things) *strike 1*When I arrived, they immediately tried to talk me out of the 3 fixes I know I needed. They also had no recollection of the processes necessary to file this work ticket under my company. They agreed to change my camera lens and battery out.I left to go to the coffee shop next door to let the hour and a half pass. After I returned from the hour and a half wait, they confirmed they didn’t even change my lens out because it was “soldered in” and “hard to get out”. That is every iPhone camera lens. Ever.I was also booted by the creepy parking lot attendant. That’s completely on me. But still, bad experience overall. Would not recommend to my worst enemies.

Extremely well stocked theyre advertisement says it all if you have that hard to find eurobulb or like in my case I recently purchased a very tactical phone from Korea that blows away in the American products however its got that bizarre ballast so I could either have gone out and found the correct plug and adapter and or change the ballast entirely batteries Plus bulbs is an excellent place to figure this out and what direction you should go in very helpful people they know their stuff

Such a great experience!! Nick was able to overnight a piece to fix my phone and called me promptly the next day when it came in. It was a simple fix, but I was leaving town the next day and it meant the world!!! This will be the first place I go back and recommend to others! Out of all the other locations, the S. Lamar one was the best.

I scheduled a Samsung S7 Edge Rear glass repair, got 30 minutes ahead of my appointment just to hear that it does make any difference. Then I inquired about the cost and I was told $49.99, then I referred to the discount of $10 for scheduling online and I was told that the $49.99 was already discounted. Upon pick up I presented the clerk with WEB documentation regarding the price and discount only then he offered not only the discount but an additional $10; Im very suspicious of that behavior; if I had not presented documentation he would have charged me the full amount. Because the clerk was caught he offered and additional $10 discount. Deception is not good business practice.

Went in for a screen replacement on an iPhone SE, and the employee told me the price they listed on the website was too high by $25, so thats a pleasant surprise right from the start. He got it done in just under an hour, as promised, and it looks to be a well-done repair. Theres a six-month warranty in case the part is bad as well, which seemed impressive to me for a small shop and relatively cheap repair.

Be prepared to pay 100 dollars to get a boot off your car, even if youre a customer. Batteries plus bulbs support the lot owner who has literally hired a little devil to hide behind bushes and the second your not looking they jump out and boot your car within seconds. Its insane and should be illegal but because its a privately owned lot you have not rights.

All these years with smart phones and five teenagers, I started to think we might actually get the last one out of high school with no broken phones. Nope!As you can see from the photo, my daughters screen wasnt just slightly cracked. It was good and smashed and the phone was even slightly bent. Thankfully, they told me it was bent on the good side, which is the side that has more give.Because of the bend, it took 45 minutes for the repair. The frame will always be scarred near the buttons because of it, but they did an amazing job clipping and sanding the frame in that area so that it is not terribly noticeable. You cant have this much damage and expect your phone to come out looking completely unscathed. They did AMAZING work and I could not be more thrilled.Also, if you can see such a slight blemish, it means you dont have a case on your phone and OMG! COME ON! Cases = sexy. Expensive repairs ≠ sexy.I was able to use a discount on the repair, and I also received a discount on the new Otter case which will now grace my kids phone .... FOREVER.I cant recommend their services enough. The guys there were super friendly, positive and helpful. I was able to walk a block and grab a Veggie Bento Box at East Side King while I waited. They made sure I used every discount I could possibly get. What a wonderful experience!

I called all over town to find someone to check my Pokemon Crystal battery, and Nick at South Lamar was the first person who knew how to help me out. He was able to identify the issues my game was having, and quickly & correctly installed a new battery for me. I am beyond happy! This man is my hero!

I ordered a motorcycle/sport vehicle battery online. Received an order confirmation email and then later another email letting me know the battery was ready for pickup. Went to the local store (Austin, TX #143) and the order could not be found. I was prepared to give the order number but then the guy at the counter remembered he had seen the order but forgot to put it in. He then told me it would be about 4 hours before the battery was ready. I was preparing to go out of town (with the needed battery) so I had them cancel and provide a refund. Very disappointing.

I love this place. Mance and his colleagues could not be more professional. They are incredibly intelligent, resourceful, and passionate about their work. Their troubleshooting ability is second to none. They can do everything from fixing a custom Porsche key fob, to repairing a faulty wire on an appliance. They are also incredibly cost conscious and straightforward. Each and every time I make a trip to the store I leave feeling it was a success.

Got my battery replaced here, and the representatives were super friendly and very helpful the first time around. Well my phone started shutting off at 50%-60% on its own, less than two months after paying for the new one they sold me. When I take it back for a replacement, they inform me that they can replace it, but if THEY crack the screen on THEIR time, I have to pay for it. So Id basically be paying for their technicians mistake.... Not exactly what Id call ideal customer service.

Always get great service here, but have to credit Sterling for twice working on my last Saab fob and fixing it. Without him Id be reduced to using the key for everything (cant replace them and would mean a major job that doesnt make financial sense at this point.) Thanks again, Sterling!

Easy to find what I needed and to order online. Battery was tagged and ready for me when I got there. Same 24 month Duracell that I got last time (3.5years ago). They werent able to install it this time but its pretty easy.

Batteries Plus Bulbs has such a wonderful and friendly staff. I took my IPhone 6 in July of 2015 for a repair on the screen. Patrick originally helped me out getting it replaced. A few months later I had an issue with the screen popping off. I called to see if I could get it fixed under warranty. Not sure about this situation Patrick called his manager (who was off that day) to get the okay. He actually called me back with in minutes with the answer. I took my phone in and within the half hour Patrick had my phone fixed again.I normally do not write reviews. However, this employee and establishment is beyond amazing! I have no problems telling my friends about how awesome their service is, and they will continue to get my business.

Patrick and Mance were very helpful. There were no questions or problems with a return for a full refund. They even helped me with a loan of a battery in order to get data off an old phone.

Excellent service! Went in with a non-functional car keyless entry system thinking it was just a dead battery. The worker there opened it up and saw that pieces had broken off the electrical board. Not only did he fix it with the soldering iron, but he showed me how to do it myself! He tested the battery and it was dead also. Put a new battery in it and it worked again! All for FIVE DOLLARS! Excellent service. Will definitely come here again!

Went in with a broken phone that we needed to charge just enough to transfer contacts to the new phone. The guy who was helping us tried to clean out the charging port first trying to save us some money and when that wasnt working set us up with a charger for the battery that was reasonably priced. Definitely appreciated the help and the extra effort to try and save us money.

I came in with a non-functional mute button on my iPhone 6s expecting to drop the phone off for a repair. Rick noticed the switch seemed loose, and rather than swap it for a new one, tightened the bracket at no charge in less than five minutes. The phone works and they now have a customer for life!

The battery and price was great. What I had to go through to get it was the problem.I live in Bastrop and ordered a battery on line. The store that I had to pick it up from was in Austin. The date on the battery showed that it was sitting on the shelf for over a year. The employee at the store apologized and said that the battery was shipped from another ĺocation in Austin and that they normally ship their older batteries to other locations. I had to drive 10 miles out of my way to another location to get my battery.

So I buy and sell older type cellphones/electronics for giggles. (And because I have a propensity to hoard things,) and this place is your one stop shop for any type of battery/charger/chord/supply power needs. I have never had a problem with not carrying anything Ive needed. You might be able to get things off Amazon for cheaper, but if your in need of a power supply component now go in and check it out. Its kinda a cool little niche you dont know about... Until you know about it. Good luck out there and stay charged people!!!

Great service from the workers, but my phone screen broke within 48 hours of having it replaced. It wasnt dropped or exposed to unusual pressure. I took it out of my pocket after showing off the fact that it was fixed and it was cracked right next to the speaker. Quality people, not products. For $200 it wasnt worth it. I will be taking my phone to be fixed AGAIN from somewhere else.

If this place doesnt have your batteries, I dont think anyone will. Quick, friendly service. Great for watch batteries too, and they will install them while you wait. Conveniently located on Kimberly Road, just east of Brady street in the Quad Cities.

If they dont have what you want, they are usually able to get it for you. But I dont know why they wont recycle batteries anymore.

These guys are so professional and kind! They fixed my car key battery and replaced the plastic housing so I wouldnt need to get this done at the dealership. I truly appreciate how clean the store is, and that the staff really knows what theyre doing. Ive lived in Austin all my life and have been to this location on Lamar a billion times. I did not have a very pleasant experience with Batteries Plus on S Lamar. I called first before I drove across town. I spoke to Nick. I offered to email him the picture and info on the item I wanted to buy. He seemed to be in a rush . He told me their computer was down so he couldnt get email at the moment and brushed me off saying Yeah, yeah we got it. You can even get a $15 rebate right now.Well, I drove across town right after speaking to him. He was at lunch and not around. The young gentleman that waited on me, called Nick. Then after he hung up from a short conversation with Nick, he tried to see me a battery. I told him that is not what Nick and I had discussed.To cut it short, they dont listen to you.....They think they already know, but they dont!! So much for the drive across town.....

I just had to write a review. I had a recurring issue with my car battery, and they fixed it on the spot, telling me what the others had missed/why it was dying so often. He worked with me patiently for about 10 minutes, and he really knew what he was doing. Very nice and amiable too.Not only that, the hardware they were going to sell to me, they gave it FREE.Conclusion: Came in with a 8 month recurring car battery problem, left with it permanently fixed and paying NOTHING. Ordered a car battery on their website that was verified to fit my vehicle. Arrive at the store, they take out my old battery for me, then tell me the battery that was ordered does not fit my vehicle. Im a little annoyed at this point because it was their own website that recommended the part. I then ask if they can just put the right battery in for the same price I got quoted for on their site, problem solved. Right? Nope, they tell me its going to be another $20+ dollars onto my original order for the right battery. What a joke ... I ended up just leaving without a battery. Total waste of time, never going back to this place.

I tried to buy a battery here on 9/2 and despite the lit open sign over the door, the place was locked up with a back in 5 minutes sign taped to the door. I came back an hour later and it was the same story. This place totally lost my business for good.
