As someone else mentioned, the selection is mostly size 4 & 6. It is nicely arranged and prices seemed competitive to other upscale consignment shops. Staff seemed snooty. They were more interested in their phones than helping.
Neatly organized. High end fashion with excellent selection.
The owner takes it upon herself to insult her potential sellers by making uneducated insinuations regarding the authenticity of inherited pieces. Even when presented with a verified Entrupy Certificate she chose to insist that I was lying and attempting to press upon her, an inauthentic 1970’s Christian Dior tote. She claimed that there was no date stamp.... obviously she knows nothing about Dior because if she DID she’d know that they only began their date stamping to curb counterfeiting of the Lady Dior bag in 1997 after the passing of Princess Diana caused the bag to increase in popularity as it was commonly referred to as the “Lady D” bag.She claimed the lining was incorrect....Christian Dior did not begin using a monogrammed or marked lining until the 1990’s and in some rare cases during the 80’s. Bags were not made in-house and were sourced through other factories. Hardware was not stamped and the lining was not marked.Thirdly.... the bag was inherited from my grandmother whom I sat beside as she died. I know for a FACT that this bag was authentic and to insinuate otherwise is not just ignorant but OFFENSIVE.I walk into both Garment and Moss and can name any bag on their shelves by Designer and often times by style. I have educated their staff on more designer facts than I expected. They and their staff are surprisingly ignorant when it comes to the brands they are re-selling.I am also a person who comes into their stores and buys up the bags they can’t push out the door and have spent a good deal of money there. With all of these facts stacked together it goes without saying that I am well in my right to be offended. If you want a beat up 1980’s Gucci bag with half the monogram rubbed off the canvas, the leather worn with exposed piping, and the interior lining cracked and peeling: Feel free to pop over to their sister store Garment. If you want overpriced, and often damaged designer goods go to Moss. And I you are interested in a TWICE AUTHENTICATED vintage 1970’s Christian Dior Trotter Monogram Tote... hit me up.
I have been shopping here for years! The owner is always there and is extremely helpful. You can tell how much she cares about the clothing that comes in and how beautifully the store is decorated. I love this store!
I love this shop! There are so many options and amazing brands!I can agree with some of the reviews; originally this place seemed snooty at first but it’s not. The ladies who work here are so helpful and definitely know what they’re doing as far as selling points. I worked sales for a long time and it’s not easy but they do it without pushing so hard . They also immediately offered to hold my other bags when I walked in - I know this is mostly for security and their job but I personally appreciate anyone doing their job!Such a great shop - love it!
Great deals. Got a Chloe bag that looks new but was 1/2 the MSRP. Very fashion savvy staff. They know whats real, whats not, whats a fair price, and gives it to you
Every time I visit Austin I’ve got to come here. I always find that 1 piece that becomes my go-to for the following months. Great selection. Good atmosphere. Clean.
Moss has some fantastic items. My wife and daughters love to wander through and look for treasures and some great deals. Highly recommended, and I am not their target customer!
My favorite place in Austin to consign clothing and designer items. Thus, also my favorite place to shop for those items!
I just moved to Austin recently and stopped here to shop for clothes for work. The store is so nice inside, the clothes are priced well and in fantastic condition, and the sales staff is polite and helpful. Will definitely be back for more!
Moss is my go to store in Austin! Half price or less on designer brands in excellent condition! They procure lovely pieces. Anytime I need something for an event or even for casual everyday wear, the ladies of this store help me find exactly what I am looking for at a fraction of what I could pay for the same quality. Thank you Moss!
This is THE BEST and most sustainable way to get luxury, quality, authentic designer clothing, shoes and accessories in Austin! The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly.
I found a beautiful designer dress here at a fraction of its retail price. I will be back soon to check on two other pieces I fell in love with - if the pieces do not sell within a month or so, the tag lists a lower price after a certain date!Im not sure why people are saying that the employees are unhelpful. I had 3 employees approach me for assistance. One employee found me the dress that I ended up buying.
I am a huge resale shopper, so when I found a consignment store specifically for designer clothing I was very excited. Unfortunately, the store is mostly womens clothing, and, being a man, my excitement was short lived. I will say that I did browse a little through the womens and, ladies, there are some great selections!Although the mens section was very small, I could tell that when hit on the right day this place could yield some seriously fortunate results. Their buyer, whomever he/she may be, has an excellent eye for fashion. The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because there mans section is tiny and does not have much of my size; otherwise it is a pretty cool place.
I called to ask for details about their consignment process & they said that they withhold your clothing until it sells as well as after that they do not pay you for your clothing until the end of the month. I find that to be very skeptical. What if something happens to my clothes? What if someone shoplifts & gets away with them? Then what? I don’t trust that. I’m sure it’s a great place to pick-up high-end clothing for a very good price but their consignment process rubs me the wrong way.
They have some good and rare stuff for women, all in like-new condition. Stop by you might fall in love with a piece like my wife did.
Clean shop with excellent selection. Every item is unique.
Stopped into Moss twice, and the staff there was sooooo snooty! I read another reviewer who said she felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, and I can definitely see why! (Funny, I have actually shopped at that store on Rodeo Drive and theyre not snooty at all), Ive also shopped in NYC, London, Paris, Milan, and Rome, and on a first-name basis with the manager at Christian Loubouton in Costa Mesa. So, I find it funny (and ironic) that the staff at Moss think of themselves at such a higher level than any place Ive experienced before. I dont get dolled up when Im out running errands, so maybe thats why they just couldnt be bothered. And, they barely have any selection of sizes 0 or 2 anyway, unless I wanted to purchase the 10-year-old overpriced Theory dress they were selling for $145. I wont waste my time going back.
Great selection and well organized. I enjoyed browsing here and the service was great.
It only has size 4, 6 mostly. No average size clothing. Not much in shop. Ladies were decently nice...
A few steps away from Uchi is Moss Designer Consignment, a women’s dream for discounted classy clothing, shoes and handbags. While waiting for a table, or before dinner, make it a point to stop at this shop. Carrying brands such as Prada, Versace and Christian Louboutin, it will be easy to find a romantic gift for a date.TIP: Mon-Sat hours from 11-7pm, Sunday 12-6pm. Accepts consignments everyday, without an appointment.
Really good selection, really good prices.
Employees are super helpful!
However the staff who were working were not helpful. I would not return.
😁
Gorgeous clothing.
Staff too uppity for me.
Boo.😢
No mens section??? Come on
