Northwest Fence and Iron did an AMAZING job on my fence!! The crew was professional and very efficient! They were in and out in one day, which surprised me! I thought it was going to take a few days!! It was so easy to get a quote and book a time for the fence to be built!! My backyard has had a wonderful face-lift thanks to the new fence! I love sitting in my backyard and admiring my brand new fence! I highly recommend them to everyone! You will not be disappointed!!
I live in an HOA community where our patios dont have fences, so Ive been looking for a company to install one (with approval) for a while but couldnt find anyone reliable or they were too expensive. I found Joe at NW Fence & Iron and from the get go he was so sweet to make sure I could be fit into their schedule with my small footprint job vs larger areas. The guys that came and installed the fence with gate were so nice, professional and worked fast! Double thumbs up and a high five, Joe! - Britt
Dennis and team at Northwest Fence & Iron did an incredible job on our backyard remodel. We remodeled our pool and decking on an uneven lot which required all new iron fencing. Dennis brought a lot of expertise and creativity on the fence design and the end result is amazing. They were also very patient when our pool remodel was delayed by quite a long period of time and then when it was their turn they delivered on time. We highly recommend them and would use them again.
I had the best experience with this business! Joe built me a custom dumpster gate for my commercial property and I could not be happier. The installation went very smoothly and the end result looks great! I highly recommend!
We highly recommend Northwest Fence & Iron, which in our experience provided great pricing, good quality and excellent customer service.
UPDATE 9/23/2020:It appears the majority of the work to fix this patio fencing is on the builder Doug Casey, NW Fence and Iron has been more than willing to remove the railing and put it back once the correct bracing is installed by the builder. More updates to come.Original Review:Like other reviews I guess it depends on the crew you get and the job you need done that will determine how good f a job they do. And in this case how well the builder of the patio prepared the deck for railing. (which is legally required to be installed)The builder Doug Casey chose Northwest Fence & Iron to install patio railing around 2 of my patios that are about 16 and 30 feet off the ground. The first floor patio was done fine, seems sturdy, no real complaints about the first floor patio which is 16 off the ground at a minimum and would hold a good size human if they fell against it. The railing is bolted into the 2x12, has sturdy bolts and washers to keep them from pulling through. The Second story patio is about 30 feet off the ground and 1/2 of feels sturdy, but will not last but a couple years given how it was built. The other half of it would fall over if an adult human fell into it. The entire second deck railing/fence is screwed into 1x5 treated patio boards with wood screws. There is no backing, no bracing, nothing else. As soon as the boards get worn out the entire railing will need to be replaced with the right backing boards and bracing installed.I initially called and asked for a quote to fix this second story railing correctly, I was willing to pay for it being done correctly and to add a gate to the first floor patio.Caleb, a salesman, came out and explained to me everything that wasnt done correctly with backing, bracing, more wood under the patio boards etc. He said he would work with Mike at Northwest Iron and the builder Doug to figure out a plan.I spoke to Joe at Northwest Iron a few days later and he assured me that they were working on a plan.My Builder Doug Casey soon called, came out and said we needed to put in extra bracing that would come from the railing down to the patio. (I have never seen this type of bracing on a nice patio)Doug also explained that Mike at Northwest Iron said they had done all they could do. It wasnt an installation issue, it was an issue with the patio and no extra support for them to use. (I would think at install time the installers would note this, ask for more bracing and come back out to finish the job at a later date)I contacted Joe at Northwest Iron a couple more times and he again assured me they were working on a plan. I was told that Mike and Doug would be coming out to the house to look at it and figure something out. Here we are at least 3 months later and all communication has stopped. My railing is very loose, moving back and fourth about 4 inches and is not safe. If someone falls and hits the railing the wood screws will pull out of or break the patio decking material and they will go over. I am so concerned that I am putting planters in front of the railing so people cant even lean on the railing. If Northwest Iron and Fence ever comes out to make this right I will be more than happy to edit this review to update it with more favorability if it is warranted.
We had a very good experience with Northwest Fence & Iron. Though they were more expensive than the other companies we worked with, their approach to our particular project and their insistence on not cutting corners to reduce the project cost was ultimately the reason we chose to work with them. Now that the project is behind us, I can confidently say we made the right decision. Other companies suggested we use tapped bolts to secure the fence posts, but NWF&I insisted we core drill the main posts into the foundation wall to ensure stability. That was definitely the right call. Other companies wanted to oversell the gates we used on both sides of the house, but our project planner explained that we could use the entry gates as a way to add privacy (using cedar privacy planks instead of iron gates), and the result was a much cleaner look and added privacy for our little ones.I wholeheartedly recommend this group, and will absolutely be using them again in future projects.
Gregg came and did the estimate and he was the only one out of 6 contractors that came up with the same measurements as I did. I paid the deposit and knew the lead time was 4 to 5 weeks. After 2 weeks Gregg called and said someone could come the next day (and of course I agreed). The crew was here the next morning and worked professionally, putting up a very solid fence by the end of the day. Once I had the chance to walk the fence I noticed 3 boards that were less than sturdy so requested Gregg send me the replacements and I would instll them myself, after which I would settle up the bill. His men were here the next day and replaced the boards for me and also replaced a couple that they found. I am so happy with not only the fence, but my decision to go with NW Fence. Prompt, courteous, and a darn good final product at a fair market price. Thank you Gregg and NW fence!
Joe and Team are great and easy to work with. We had some additional fencing and gates installed when our pool was nearing completing. They worked around the pool workers and finished quickly and neatly. About a year later, a couple gates were missing their latch. After one call to Joe, his team came out and fixed them in minutes. Great Service!
NW Fence powder-coated, framed, and installed a privacy screen I had made by QMF Steel. The panel had arrived slightly damaged but they made sure it looked good in the frame and there is no visible issue with it. They installed it quickly. They did a good job and I would recommend them for privacy screens for a pool.
Mark was terrific. He was punctual, courteous, and professional. The crew did a great job and left the site clean. The fence is of high quality and looks great. Thank you!
*Amazing company w/Integrity!*A few years ago we had Northwest Fence & Iron install nearly 300 of ornamental iron fencing for our backyard. Unfortunately it began deteriorating greatly at the bottoms of nearly all the fence panels within a couple years. Some months ago we reached out to Northwest Fence asking for help. Joe immediately sent out Armando to investigate and discovered the fence material that was originally installed was defective from the manufacturer. Even though our fence panel design was no longer available, Joe insisted he would find a way to warranty the original work. Northwest Fence went way above our expectations and replaced all the fencing around our backyard. We could not be more impressed with the follow-up and professionalism from Joe and his entire team. Truly a wonderful stand-up company with vast integrity!
Northwest Fence installed our ornamental iron and a driveway gate. They were fast an efficient, and came in on budget. Joe was great and made us feel at ease. This company really performed for us! Highly recommended.
Weve just used Northwest Fence & Iron for the second time. The first time was 12 years ago. They did a wonderful job the first time, and thats why we automatically contacted them with our current fencing needs. We will use them in the future, and we highly recommend them to everyone else!
Everything went like clockwork with Joe and the installation team from the quote process to the completed gates. Highly recommend NW Fence & Iron!
We had NWFI install a custom horizontal wood fence at our new house. They really did a great job! We will definitely use them again!
Joe and his team built a custom gate for the front of our property. They did an amazing job. Very professional and excellent with communicating updates during the project. I would highly recommend them!
These guys installed a fence around my yard 10 years ago, and we’ve had some gate damage from trees falling and mowers that don’t care and general wear and tear. Johnny came out and fixed up all my gates in about three hours. Excellent service and fair price.
Mark was an excellent salesperson. His knowledge of fencing and understanding of our needs was unsurpassed. We used them for extensive work inside and outside our house when it was built 6 years ago and sought them out this time for a fence for our new pool. I would recommend them for any fence job.
Joe and Jeff went above and beyond to fix a botched job by a sales rep that didn’t last the summer. They, president of the company, picked up the ball and made it happen within a week after waiting several months. I would recommend them to anyone because of the management professionalism. These are truly the good guys!
I have a renovation business and work with a local custom home builder. My goal is to maintain high levels of service with my clients. A huge part of that is having responsive and competent partners to get the job done right the first time. I decided to test Northwest out on a project and was incredibly happy with the results. The emails and phone calls in the bidding and execution of the job were fantastic. The team at Northwest work together to create a seamless experience for the customer. They are smart, friendly and motivated. Thank you Joe and thank you Stormy for running a business that sets the bar high! Look forward to future projects.
I used Northwest Fence and Iron recently to do a 7 foot privacy fence. They did an amazing job - crew was right on time. Worked fast and did a great job. I highly recommend them. Excellent prices.
We used Northwest Fence & Iron to complete a stair case to also include a crawl space. They came up with a great design and completed the job fast with quality materials. They had great communication during the process as well.Would recommend and will definitely use them for future needs
I had a wonderful experience with Northwest Fence & Iron. My sales rep, Austin, was a real pleasure to work with from start to finish. The pricing was very reasonable and transparent, and I appreciated Austins advice on the best way to approach everything. The crew, led by Rego, did a fantastic job, with a great attitude and pride in workmanship throughout the process. It was a somewhat complicated project and everything was perfect when they finished - it was so nice (and unusual) to have an experience where everything was done right the first time. I highly recommend this company!
Good price for great work. Austin came to our house and walked the fence came back to us with a plan. We approved and he had us a quote with in a day. They came out to do the work about 2 weeks later. They where done in about 2 days. We had a lot of work to do and I thought they were very fast. After they were done we had to make change. I called Austin in a few hours he had it all worked out and gave us good deal on the change. They had all the work done the next day.I highly recommend Austin and Northwest Fence & Iron.Im updating my review. Not really sure what happened to this place. I called them and asked them to reline gate. They sent 3 different guys including a manager and still couldnt fix it. I called another fence guy he came and fixed it cheeper. He told me it was installed incorrectly. I can no longer recommend you use this company.
Northwest Fence and Iron recently installed a new privacy fence and I am extremely happy I chose to work with them. Throughout the entire process the team and NW Fence and Iron has been awesome. Austin provided great communication throughout the process and the installation crew did an amazing job. They were friendly and courteous throughout. I would definitely recommend NW Fence and Iron to friends, family and neighbors.
Absolutely first rate service . Completely satisfied, no hassle. Fair price, on time. And most importantly, Railings look beautiful . Thank you.
NWIF did a great job on our fence and stone columns. They said itd be 2-3 weeks to complete, and in our luck it ended up being less than a week. While they are not the cheapest in town, theyre not the most expensive. But I would definitely say theyre the best and you get what you pay for.We are very happy with our choice. We will use them again.
We had a very complex wrought iron fence project as a result of an addition that was put on the back of our house. Our salesman was Mark Miranda. Mark was able to answer all of our questions, his quote was prepared promptly, he revisited our property an additional two times at our request to fine-tune the design/measurements. Our fencing project involved curved panels as well as straight. The installers arrived promptly on the day scheduled and had the entire job done in two days. There were no mistakes in the material ordered nor in the measurements. The curved sections fit beautifully. The quality of the product and workmanship is excellent. We have already had a neighbor ask us who did our fencing, so hopefully they will be contacting NW Fence as well. My husband and I highly recommend this company.
March 24, 2015 was the end of our fence installation and we are very pleased with the final results. The project took almost 2 months from quote, negotiations, fabrication, installation, gates and all changes and updates. As a previous director of a customer service department, I would rate NW as exceeds requirements. The sales person, Josh, communicated timely, well and followed up on all inquiries. The installation crew of Oscar, Noe and Noe were diligent and in the end did a very good job. Rose and I would give the Northwest Fence & Iron experience as a 4 STAR rating! Overall, I would recommend Northwest Fence & Iron to anyone who is considering a new fence at their home. Thanks to you and your company!
There crew was obviously very experienced. They worked fast and I was very impressed with the quality of their welds and their attention to detail. My wife and I love our fence!
I had a pool installed recently and needed some fence work. I friend of mine told me to give Northwest Fence a call. I did and it was such a pleasant experience and the quality is great
Excellent people to work with--very professional, and my iron balconies and stairways are beautiful. All work was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend NW Fence and Iron
Great Job !Exceeded expectations! Josh was our contactTook us through start to completion. I triedTwo other small fencing companies withReviews and referrals. Never again...classicTry to save money... and help a mom/pop localAnd get blasted I know better!Pay for the quality difference you will be glad you didThanks Josh and Northwest Iron and Fence.SWDripping Springs
Communication is worst I have experience from any company after I made the down payment. the service manager Jeff does not return phone calls;. they only weld one weld on the top of the fence and caulk the two sides. Shawn the sells person did real well communicating until he got my down payment. then he says workers will be there and they never show up. I was not happy with the quality of work they did are communication. they gate post was not plumb and they put a spacer on the hinge to make up for the drop in the gate.
Great place to do business with
Office staff is great, product is very good but the installation can be very good or not so good depending on the installation crew you get. I had my fence installed in 2 steps. First installation was not nearly as good as the second one. Ask a lot of questions about distance between fence posts.
Friendly Responsive Service that provides quality product and timely work.
NW F&I did a great job. Always professional and delivered on time. We are glad to recommend them. Same great service in 2016 that we experienced in 2008!
Work was done very well, in a timely manor.Thank you so much.
Mark was a pleasure to work with. I had a sloped lot and a concrete wall that needed to be addressed with the fence install. Fantastic work.
Great place to go to see woolly mammoths. Grew up in Waco and never knew that there was such a historical place.
They did a great job. Austin was great to work with and Elias Martinez is a master craftsman.
These guys were great. Service was good. Final product was perfect.
The crew was very nice and worked very efficiently. Would highly recommend Northwest Fence & Iron!
Northwest Fence replaced a rusted-out fence. The process was seamless and all concerned were professional, well versed on all aspects of the project and responsive to my questions and inquiries. The installers kept the yard free of debis during the entire process, cleaned up afterwards and brushed and wiped down the fence. The installed fence is exactly as planned, paint matches and the spacing is spec perfect.I highly recommend Northwest Fence and their representative, Mark Miranda.
Absolutely terrible customer service. If I responded to my customers they way these guys do (or more accurately, failed to respond), Id be out of business.Whats their downside? They take 50% up front and keep your card on file to charge the balance whether you like their service or not. First and last time I buy from them...
When we were looking for a contractor to install our fence, none of the reviews of other companies were very helpful because many were negative. I wanted to post our positive experience for this reason.NW Fence installed a black iron fence on our property this week and it looks great. The installer asked lots of questions when he got here, just to make sure that we would be happy with the end result. They even ran into a buried (but active) sprinkler head and relocated it for us at no cost. The cost was only a few hundred dollars more than the competitors, but I went with NW because I liked their customer service during the bid process.I would definitely use them again in the future.
Very happy with the final product and was also very pleased with the customer service and how easy the process was.
NW Fence & Iron installed a gate for us to access a trail. They were efficient and able to get the job done in a timely manner.
Quick and reliable. I would use this company again and plan to do so.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! We had them install a fence around our back yard. We ended up loosing 1 foot all the way around the yard. Our sprinkler heads ended up in our neighbors yards. Our fence was not tied into the other fences so the neighbors dogs kept getting loose. They had to kennel their dogs. They broke up our brick planter border to accommodate moving the fence 1 foot in. They didnt bother to pull up the pest control bait station and fenced over the top of it! Just idiots!Northwest wanted us to move our bushes and have the sprinkler heads moved back into our yard. After a month of going back and forth they finally agreed to move the fence back some so it was closer to the lot line and where it belonged. They still had to hire a company move and correct the sprinkler heads. The guys who came out to do that just dug them up and pulled them under the fence. They left them just laying on the ground. The owner of the company just had to come and correct them again. It was an absolutely horrible experience, not just for us but for our neighbors as well. Then, when the wanted to collect the balance that was due, we asked if there was compensation that would be made due to all the problems. We waited a month to hear back from them but never did. They apparently would rather turn it over to a collection agency than communicate back with us.If you want the hassle of loosing 1 foot of your yard and fighting them to correct it and then get turned over to a collection agency rather than talking with the client, by all means contact them and enjoy! They are horrendous to deal with! What a mistake!! DONT USE THEM!!!
Great service! On time and fast.
This company clearly does not come through. The main office is disorganized, and when a sales person finally appeared, he proved very unreliable. He initially explained things well & even came out to our house & took measurements. But then, he simply disappeared, failed to respond to repeated emails, and never contacted us again. Stay away from this company!
Russ is awful! Have tried to get an estimate from him and he is so rude. Just don’t bother.
Fast, reliable and good quality work.
Very professional. The estimate was clear, and the workmanship was excellent.
They came out and took measurements and then promised a written bid/estimate...which never came. I wasnt in a hurry but I did follow up 3-4 times in about 10+ weeks, to no avail.I got the message...you dont want the work on a $30k-$50k project.
Fast work, beautifully-done! Hooray for Jeff!
Seem nice good price on what I bought
Had an appointment for an estimate. That day the salesman called to cancel. He never returned 3 of my messages. I guess he thought I was going to complain about a small section of fencing his company had put in, which I now notice is going bad after only 3 years.
Im frankly stunned by the level of professionalism and poor workmanship provided by this organization.
