A perfect and a quick in and out place to shop to get what you need from reasonably priced organic vegetables, dairy, grass-fed beef, many kinds of flour, dried fruit and nuts, vitamins/supplements, natural health/beauty/care, household cleaning products, and more.Unlike other grocery stores, their sale duration lasts a few weeks.It is my regular store since they opened their first store on Guadalupe, as I do not like to spend so much time shopping in bigger size stores. You can shop there efficiently.The store is clean and has no in your way staffs, which is ideal during pandemic.I feel safe to shop there.

Don’t come here with a service animal. First off, it’s important to note that I’m a huge huge Natural Grocers fan, and have shopped with them almost exclusively for almost a decade. But not this particular store. They do not know the law as it relates to service animals, nor do they care. They discriminate and make up arbitrary rules that are not valid by law. When I called after an incident to politely share as much with the Manager, I was not treated as a valued client, but more as an annoying pest. She basically blew me off — didn’t ask any questions, didn’t seem interested in the actual law, just trying to get me off the phone. We spoke for maybe 2 minutes. If that. Also, poor selection of fruits and veggies compared to other NGs I’ve frequented.

The store is nice in that it supplies exactly to its target demographic- rich white upper-middle class folks who are especially more health conscious than reasonably necessary. However, the prices here are quite insane as a result of this change. I cannot dock any points because the store does exactly what it is geared towards in the first place.

Shout out to Natural Grocers for providing water to us in our time of need. We lost all water access during the storm and were able to come to the store to fill up our containers for free. Im in South Austin so it was about a 30 min drive to get there, but WELL worth the drive after 3 days of no running water. I have no idea what their grocery prices are like - I was just so grateful that they offered to help the community. Thank you so much for your help!!!

If I could rate this lower, I would!!There was a middle aged blonde male cashier who did not come to his register even though he saw a line was forming and when I asked him if he could please help, he gave me attitude when checking me out! No matter what time or day you come in there is never anything stocked and if there is, it’s messy! The restrooms are never stocked with items and I have seen feces smeared on the floor at 1 point?? When I told one of the employees there was no toilet paper, he shrugged and continued to stock. Overall this place is disappointing and the only reason I shopped here was because it was close and there was a specific vitamin I could only find here but at this point I would rather take a bus to different company. Seeing as how they run this place, I can only imagine all Natural Grocers are the exact same! Shame on you Natural Grocers!!!!

The workers were very friendly at this store and it was pretty quiet when I visited (a Thursday around 11am). I should note that I visited during this whole covid19 business which may be why it was so empty. They have a 75 person limit on amount of people allowed in at one time and it was nowhere near that.Anyway, I love the food selection! Lots of natural and organic brands I use. A lot of the products are a bit more expensive than other grocery stores (even whole foods). But you may find a deal here and there. They also offer an extensive supply of supplements and vitamins. I probably wouldnt get the bulk of my groceries here but its wonderful for finding unique healthy options or bulk items for a lower price!

I love Natural Grocers. I have fond memories of going there when I was a kid, with my mom and sister. Its my favorite health food store. If there was one a little closer to my house I would probably go every week!

These great folks let me bring in a bucket to fill with water from their employee lounge area during the winter storm. Their help to my family will not be forgotten.

I am new to the area. when I arrived, I asked the greeter at the door or whether or not they had those reverse osmosis water dispensers. he immediately told me where I could find them inside the store. I got what I needed and headed to the register. the head cashier was the person who rang me up. He said he absolutely loves this job, and so do the employees. He said that Natural Grocers has been rated one of the cleanest grocery stores in America! He said that they sanitize everything all the time, and that none of the employees have gotten sick since covid-19 hit. My only complaint is there is not a natural grocers in South Austin. ☺️

Awesome clean Friendly store

This was my first time to shop at Natural Grocers. I am impressed how the store is laid out. Especially the health supplement section. It is labeled according to the issue you are dealing with or what you need help with in a supplement. I wish there had been an employee to answer questions in that section.

Horrible customer service. I wanted to ask a quick question, and the employee just puts me on hold. Since the store nearby my place, I drop by. And nobody is concerned about answering the call. Theyre all busy just bagging things and not caring about the customers, because theyre doing a promo they are underprepared for. I bet I can wait up to an hour and still not have anyone pick up. This isnt worth my time.

This place has not changed at all: all the best produce and healthy items to keep me as healthy as possible. The store is exceptional but when it comes to new hires; there is a difference, they must go through a training period on customer service, Im a very disappointed with the customer service of Kara M. this cashier needs to take training course from HEB on professionalism. Very rude, unresponsive and unprofessional! The staff has always been great but this individual cashier needs help.

The new store design and produce section is awesome. This has the feel of the original Whole Foods in the 80s (before they sold out.)

Their new store in incredible on North Lamar. Same great affordable brands and but now with a new look and feel that make shopping so delightful. their staff is so friendly and since i have limits to my diet this store is great for stratifying my needs without costing me a fortune.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!! One of the best Natural Grocers I have been to and I have been to over a 100 in 40 different states!! Great staff, absolutely wonderful produce, and wonderful variety of nuts!! Everything was as fresh as it could possible be!! Added bonus was they carry my favorite water, Mountain Valley Spring Water in the 5 gallon refill jugs!!

This grocery store is really great with the items to buy, but it is not a safe place for customers of color or black customers. Every time I go with my other non-white friends, we are followed and looked at in impolite ways by the staff. This is a racist grocery store and I will stand by that.

NG is the best spot for organic produce. Forget Whole Foods, the prices here are much more reasonable. The company has great values and great prices. And if you join NPower, you get discounted eggs among other things. The staff is generally friendly and the store is clean.

Their everyday prices are not great but I like their corporate philosophy and they have great deals on markdown produce when you can catch it. Good specials and promos too. My kid loves the Dino brand of chewable suppliments.

Went to Natural Grocers to pickup some natural remedy for my wife who was having stomach ache found several items through research and purchased them on checkout the guy at register SM did not look at me once during the entire transaction and gave me attitude when asking me for membership since it was first time shopping here I do not have membership and good thing since for the price you pay for the items they should treat you a little better will not return.

This is part of why I stopped shopping at one of their competitors and started shopping here instead. Such a cool local market. I came for my bday to Austin, and this is the very first place we went to. Their local product variety is great, and prices are weirdly affordable for organic foods. Definitively come here for your small grocery trips

Avoid the woo isles, stick to the specific foods you can only get there and need. Since I am lactose intolerant, I can appreciate the wide selection of goat cheese and non-dairy ice cream. Good place for chocolate and licorice too.

Love this place. Nice and small with great sales. Went for one thing and got a few. The only thing I was disappointed in was that there where tons of products in plastic containers and plastic bags.. but thats a manufacturing issue. Wish they had a bulk section but understand this is a small store. Staff was friendly and even went back and got me something that had to be replaced.

I’m usually a big fan of Natural Grocers but this new location has some major issues. The biggest and most dangerous being the rotten produce I have unwittingly gotten from them. I usually don’t feel compelled rigorously inspect produce produce too much but that has changed after purchasing rotten peaches and a rotten onion from this place - both of which were placed for display with their rotten parts hidden. I will never forget the sensations, taste, and smell that accompanied biting into a rotten peach. I will never shop at this place again. Beware fellow shoppers!!

Really happy staff, and great customer service. If I have any questions about supplements or anything, everyone there is really knowledgeable. This is also a really cool store to get some specialty items that you cant really find anywhere else, like a yogurt making kit!

We travelled this last month from the west coast to Austin Texas for my nephews graduation! We have an 8 year old who has a laundry list of allergies, asthma, etc and I can only get certain food items from our natural grocers here on the west coast. Just traveling for her can be a huge risk! I figured the Austin NG would carry most of the items but I sent my list to the manager Cary and he walked the store making sure he carried all we needed. He ordered a product that they didnt carry in just for us. He was wonderful! His attitude was always what can I do to help never felt like I was putting him out. He let me know prior to our arrival that all was in the store. It was such a stress relief to work that out with him and to know I had all the items our daughter needed. (And us too)Excellent Customer Service - Thank you!! = )

This place has a vast selection of healthy food. Its easy to find gluten free items here and they even carry otherwise difficult to find pale products. Its pricier than HEB but the quality is better.

I like to come here when I forget to buy an ingredient or want to treat myself to a nice snack. The cashiers are all very friendly and helpful, and their store selection is great.

One of my favorite food shopping places in Austin because they have all the things I like to have at home, and provide them at reasonable prices.

I went in there in a hurry looking for some specific items on a list and Valerie came down the aisle like a beacon of hope! She assisted me with every item on my list and all with a smile! So thankful for her this afternoon.

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff here. Always very clean. Rarely crowded. Prices can be higher than HEB, but definitely are lower than Whole Foods and they always have a pretty good selection on sale.

Small scale organic grocery store. However, not all of their items are all organic, as one might think they are. They carry a small variety of food, produce, household and beauty products, and essential oil supplies, including lots of carrier oils. They are somewhat comparably priced to other local organic stores.

My favorite grocery store in Austin for actually buying groceries, great selection of the good stuff you really want. Great place for chefs.

It has a decent selection of groceries, but Im really not interested in all the vitamin stuff. Also, I feel like its being local, but local to Colorado where this chain is from.

Lots of excellent health food options, including special diet items that you wont find anywhere else in town. A mountain of supplements of every imaginable type. Just dont expect friendly or fast service.
