Rude cashier. I asked for some cigarettes (pall mall non filter) and she said she doesnt smoke and doesnt know what that is. I said its behind the sign right there, I bought them here yesterday and tried to describe the pack. She said shes not searching for it and moved to the next register and skipped over me.

Place has gone to hell with the new staff. The old staff was better. This place never has showers available now.

This place was good couple months back but now with new management it getting bad. Management is send security to tell drivers to move even if they are parked in a parking area what does it matter if a diver parked in a 53 spot when hes bobtail first come first serve no not no more !!! Loves ta quick trip here i come ill spend my money on those places !!! Corporate should look in to this place!!! ASAP

The store was very clean and the employees was very nice. Out of all the pilot we have been too this one has been the best, since we left WV. We was welcome by the employees. Great job and great teamwork. Thank you for supporting our truckers👍😊

Dont feel very clean after my shower tonight. After my shower, took a closer look and there was hair everywhere. Its gross enough when Im at home, but at least that hair is my wifes. Pilot, u need to do better. No a good way to show truckers ur appreciation for their business.

July 12-2021 am 6:56 in the morning and there is absolutely no cream in all four cream dispensers, I went up to the manager to tell her that there’s no cream and that someone should put a sign up there because I just wasted a cuppa coffee.she just stared at me and said absolutely nothing with a straight face then took a phone call, then I said to her, thank you being so helpful, again she just ignored me. This woman I believe she’s the manager, should be fired.Next time I get my fuel I’ll go to the loves down the road, at least they care about their customers.There is absolutely no excuses not to have coffee supplies on a Monday morning at 7 AM, are you kidding me?Plus it’s nice to be greeted by friendly staff not a rude woman. I will not be back!

Very bad service and they kick you out from those front parking spaces closed to the store that don’t have the reserved parking. Restroom are dirty. It’s a place that definitely not coming back.

Dropped trailers everywhere. Security guard is very unprofessional. Cars and pick up trucks parked in big truck parking. Trash everywhere. Last night the fat lot lizard was roaming the lot. Inside the store the bathroom is filthy. Only stop here if you have to. I called corporate office and was told that they cant do anything about it. Lol

Inside staff and facility are great. They deserve 5 stars. The security on the other hand is worthless. Waking truckers to move to empty spots is unsafe. Ever get woke up and disrupted sleep, than work up to 14 hours driving a killing machine? UNSAFE!!

I came here because Google Maps show the gas price really cheap when I got here I realized that the data on Google Maps was incorrect and I also needed cash back and found out they dont do cash back unfortunately so two strikes

First time in over a year I didnt have to wait for a shower, however the main reason for coming to this location was a twenty four hour Wendys. No not today, denied service due to cleaning at ten thirty p.m. The employees are just standing around, service here is questionable when theyre open but shutting down at this time of the evening to quote clean ? Why not just close permanently, no more excuses then .

8/31/21 update - rather brutal today. First pump has a Pilot fuel truck that fueled then put up his hood and went inside for 20+ min. 2nd one is not working. 3rd one has an O/O just sitting there, hasn’t pumped in 20 + min and won’t pull forward. 4th one has a guy that left the truck and went inside while waiting for the pump. Pump has been free for 15 min.

After checking out several of the reviews about this Pilot I was in the area and decided to check things out myself. This place is significantly cleaner than many of the others with regards to all aspects such as cleanliness, service etc. Ill definitely come to this location whenever Im in or near Avondale.

For a truck stop it was pretty good. All the employees had a good attitude. There is a Wendys, and a subway. But as meany truck stops in Phoenix parking is tough for Big Trucks.

Came in at night to use the shower. We held shower bags. Were welcomed in. They saw us. And no one told us the showers were down till after we asked.the workers here saw we held shower bags and were waiting yet no one warmed us the showers were down.

My husband is a truck driver and we have a choice of 3 different fuel stops......been coming here for 6 years now, this is the only place for us! I even drive here on my husbands days off if I need something! Everyone is always amazing, very sweet and professional. The store is always clean and fully stocked. If you need something special (like items from the glass case) they go out of their way to help you quickly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!

Last thing we need is no cold water in shower. Its hot....no water pressure.Great employees !!!!!Heres an idea. How about turning down hot water temp ? Then we might be able to stand under shower ?

I usually stop at this place every night Monday through Friday because I pick my trailer up is right next door. They never have iced tea, soda fountain areas is always destroyed. They rarely have anything I ever want, the lines are super long and none of the employees seem to be in a hurry. This place is a joke in the evenings.

Answer your dang phone. And stop with your highway robbery. You people are scums of the earth anyone who chooses to work for you I feel sorry.

Employees are all awesome!!. Parking is all straight back in. They have 6 mens stalls. Most of which need help. 20 dollars a night for parking. Normal local begging. All 3 stars are for employees. And to CUSTOMERS it is much your responsibility to keep restrooms clean as theirs. Restrooms are a convince.

The Management At pilot459 is beyond exceptional!! Darian, Lisa, Jordan, Kris, Xavier and David are very hard working and are always making people feel welcome and always trying to help when they can. I have not seen this kind of team work out of people in a really long time. This is a store I would come to everyday and enjoy coming too.

Trash cans in fueling isles are overflown, restrooms (both male & female) dirty and trash cans, yes overflown too, they do have that courtesy bathroom check sounding but no one seems to care at all, they have a Wendys and a Subway that close at 11pm so if you are driving late you ran out of luck! All new and remodeled for what? The lack of attention to small details is noticeable. Wish I could give 0 stars because they really are THE worst we have seen.Update 06/01/19 @ 0730:Still the dirties, nasty restrooms Ive EVER seen 🤢 despite the constructive criticism on my 1st review & your computer originated answer. The manager and crew at this pilot are doing a great job at keeping it clean keeping it clean. Hot and clean showers

A good rest stop with a wendys attached, showers are resonable price. Restrooms could be cleaned better and smelled a little funky. Gas was resonable and resonable priced snacks

There are more dropped trailer here than there are trucks park. This is a truck stop not a drop yard for local drivers.

I overall am happy with pilot and flying J but Im getting just a little annoyed with having to wait a half hour or more for a shower.I get 10 hours for a break. Quite often 30 to 45 minutes (or more) are spent waiting for a shower to be cleaned.

The low profile, low educated manager LISA should be no more than a cashier. She has no experience nor knowledge to managing a store. She is extremely rude, unprofessional and must be terminated. I and our fleet drivers will report her to the company for the further action. We spent thousands of dollar every week and my driver and I don’t deserve this kind of behavior.

There is not a change shortage its a circulation issue! Tell your governor to open things back up and it will start change circulation. ALSO to the managers or general management, go to the bank! Dont be lazy and go through the drive-through because they do not give change through the drive-through. Go inside with your funky little mask and get change for your customers

Cashier at Pilot was awesome.Cashier and the other person at Subway were not friendly at all.

Staff member knocked on my door to wake me up. Told I had to move to “bobtail parking.” The area bobtails are parked in is the Wendy’s parking lot, sign says “trucks.” Reserved parking for RV’s is in that area, and full.Other bobtail trucks are parked in regular spots, and apparently I’m the only one guy who in bobtail moving around. Middle of the night. No signs for bobtail parking.Very limiting parking in this area. Was parked in this spot for 9hours without an issue.Will not spend money here again.

Cell service to talk to family sucks and even when you buy WiFi package it still don’t work for nothing. If your a driver with a family don’t stay here

This is the worst run pilot Ive been to. Waited over an hour to get a shower 445 am. Then got to stand in line for coffee another 15 min. 1 cashier working. Manager finally came out to help with line. Yesterday afternoon came in and saw same line an just walked out.

Over all my experience was good. I dont understand why pilot flying j allows pnahandlers inside of their facilities. I ate in the restaurant twice while I was there both times I was approached by a panhandler.

Literally the only good thing about this Pilot, is the amount of parking. Stopped here primarily for breakfast at Wendys (1/16/21 at approximately 4am). No greeting upon walking in like 99% of other Pilots and FJs. Restroom was absolutely disgusting. Stood at Wendys counter for 5 minutes waiting for someone to take my order, just to be told by some teenager not in uniform, with his jeans around his knees that someone would be with us in a few minutes. Got something from the store instead, and received a bonus of attitude from the cashier as well. So, needless to say, dont think Ill be stopping here again. Next time, Ill take my break on the ramp, or go to Loves instead. Pretty disappointed with this particular Pilot 👎

This is my usual fuel stop on my route, but today I walked in and saw employees as well as many guests without masks on. This is unacceptable, and service needs to be denied to those who dont value the safety of others. I urge management to remind their employees that safety is of the upmost concern, and make sure theyre all wearing their masks for every shift.

Warm place to get out of the cold and get a hot shower.

Waiting 20minutes for a shower, walk down the isle and notice that nobodys cleaning the 8 empty showers. Apparently hes on break.REALLY, pilot? A pilot as busy as this one only has ONE person cleaning showers? No wonder the line is always so god awful long. Just one more giant middle finger for the drivers.

The soap dispenser in the shower is empty often. I also never understood with all the wall space why they always install them right where your arm is going to bumb up against it? Ow! Its like zero planning is taken into consideration. How hard is it to keep soap dispensers full and place them on the far side wall away from the immediate shower area? That way persons can simply reach over when needed?

This place was really bad, got there at 9:07pm went in and bought a shower for $15.00, waited and waited and waited and didnt call my #106 :( it now was 10:48pm,so i asked the 2 ladies about it,she said ahe would check on it, came back and said they switch to night crew at 10:00 and the lady who clocked in was folding towels, said she going to get on it and clean 1 of the rooms, i waited and waited and waited, then went back up to complain, she told me that i can just have my money back and leave. I was really mad after that, said ibe bee there way over an hour,ixould of cleaned a room to use,then the security guard up and and upupcameup

One of the busiest Pilots Ive traveled through. The employees do an outstanding job keeping it clean and maintained.

We stay here all night. They were very accommodating with our needs. We are Truck Drivers for FFE. Excellent customer service. Clean restrooms. Parking area was clean and litter free.

More than an hour To bathe, there is no respect for the truck drivers have 19 bathrooms I do not see what is the problem of making us wait so long, the prices in the store very expensive, I think someone is taking advantage of the situation, the friendly cashiers.

I would give 0 stars to this place, if I could. The staff is lazy and not willing to help at all. All problems are delegated to the security guy who is just tells you to leave.

My husband and I did I our 34 hrs reset here and could not have been happier! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The place was clean. Showers were hot! We spent our Thanksgiving here as well. This is going on my favorites list. The very best pilot! Thank you Michelle for your wonderful staff and all you guys do!

There washer and dryer always broke they have them behind pilot at dannys truck wash no one knows they have them so no one ever there, they are out back of the store. WAY cheaper also but no credit card accept but unlike pilot they have no problem giving quarters.

Graveyard maintenance does an amazing job and the staff was awesome great service!!

Free parking is usually taken. bobtail parking is limited. tractor trailer pay to park gets bought up early, pay to park bobtail fills up later or has spaces. Wendys is good early. Subway is generic. fuel islands times are moderate but can take more than a half an hour when the store only has one cashier which is often, but shes nice.((( DONT GO INTO THE MENS RESTROOM )))you will usually breathe in foul odors, unsanitary conditions are prominent always. coffee sometimes is sour. convenient store is good. go down 99th for better coffee and snacks at a better price in quicktrip. showers are decent but the guys cleaning sometimes dont wear a mask. i usually spray lysol in air and surfaces before i remove my personal mask. i use mobil app for fuel, i hardly go into store, i use showers, and only eat Wendys when im short on time, but then again Wendys sometimes isnt all that great. Ive seen this place go from ok to nasty.

Its a small Pilot and doesnt have all the options of a larger one. No hot food. The staff was very nice. Its more like a regular gas station except for the pumps for the semis.However, there are a great many parking spaces for overnight stays. If you are in an RV its a good place to spend the night.

My problem is with management not stopping trucks parked in red zones and no parking areas. This morning at 4:30 my truck was hit by the truck next to me trying to get out. Trucks were doubled up in front of us in the red zone because nobody stops them from doing so. Damage was minimal but would pilot care? Hell no

Overall a decent Pilot. Trash out back needs to be picked up more frequently. The creative parking out back in the fire lane makes for tough backs and to get out in the morning for the back row trucks. Parking lot could use a little picking up. Drivers need to stop being pigs and tossing trash anywhere and everywhere. Have/show some respect folks!

20$ reserved parking, paper floor mats in the shower rooms, really!, the jacked up parking should pay for some real mats wouldnt ya think?. Im pretty sure paper mats cost money and then you throw them away, genius. Oh but the staff is really nice and courteous, they take some of the pain away.

Parking lot is surprisingly clean, but not very well lit. There are stray cats roaming around the back of the lot. The store is decent though, nothing spectacular.

A worst experience here today !!Trying to get a shower, kiosks isn’t working si proceed to form a LONG LINE of 18 customers toward the ONE SINGLE attendant on desk.After was in parade to desk only to listen from attendant : SHOWERS ITS DOWN .

Very, very DIRTY, overcrowded, line for showers is 2 hrs. No parking what so ever.

Clean, newer pilot. Modern, not the pilot of yesteryear. Bathrooms were clean even at 1am.

This is like any other gas station its right beside where I go for group therapy so Im there allot. The employees are courteous and kind. Very pleasant experience every time Im there.

I stop, paid for a shower. There wasnt a floor towel to step out of the.shower. the water is all over the floor. The last thing anyone needs is to fall, get hurt. There was one towel to dry off with, a small.scrub cloth only. So, I leave and notice the change from a 20 bill was 3 dollars. I hope she made a honest mistake. Thank god. I dont need the change that bad.

Always have had a good experience here until tonight. Bathrooms were horrible! I go to the counter to notify the staff, the gentleman working said Thank you for letting me know. Then the manager spoke up and said use the white dispenser for hand soap. I told her it was hand sanitizer and she started to argue about it. I would like to wash my hands after using the restroom and not just sanitizer. The manager on duty needs to be nicer to the customers. I was literally just informing them, I wasn’t rude but got rude real quick. So Respect, get respect.

Parking is a struggle, but that is the fault of the area, being wildly industrial, not having enough parking options to meet the demand. Love the remodel. New subway is great. Folks always courteous. Keep up the food work.

No shower because no attendant.It really sucks to pass so many truck stops just to come here and find no shower.And Tmobile network signal is really bad here.

Much cleaner than the last time we were here. We always like this Pilot when we come out to Phoenix because it’s within walking distance of things around, but it had started running down fast. They have recently remodeled some of the store & the showers were much cleaner this time. Keep up the good work!

Better bring your own washcloth for the shower. They didnt leave one for me and I was told Id have to wait until they were done in the washer or dryer.

Ridiculous place. 8 showers are waiting for cleaning but nobody is here! Only 2 employees working at this time.(11.30 pm) 1 cashier and 1 manager!

Got gas for $1.96 gallon and it only was $23 to fill er all the way up. Cant beat that 😆👌

Make sure you check them pumps as youre pulling in(commercial diesel side). Unfortunately this place is quite often busy during the day and some of their pumps are frequently down. Its great when everything works though. Getting back on the 10 is probably only annoyance since the light right next to the truck stop only lets maybe 2 semis through per turn light.

Its a cluster. Drivers get your fuel at another truckstop. 45 minutes to get fuel unacceptable.

Its about midnight just got off the road need a nice shower which will make me clean and a restart from a long long day. This two ladys at the counter stated showers were close because not enough staff to clean the shower .. Do the math 2 ladys one can cover the counter and other clean the shower .. Its not like they were busy because when we walked in one was leaning outside of the counter doing nothing chatting with the other lady otherside of the counter.. Lazy lazy lazy lazy never again I will come to your store

Im a former employee of pilot Avondale and I must say this has been the most horrible experience and it workplace for me management is rude and very un easy to talk to no leadership skills whatsoever never got paid for overtime hours and cleaned that he needed to stay under budget to get his bonus and that was the most important thing and not the employees also a lot of drama going on with management sleeping with employees just not a good place to work at all I dont recommend anybody working for this company and the Avondale store location this place is a nightmare. Night newly night manager Ashley very rude and demanded me to do things in a very belittling way because Im african american Ill never work for this company again

Lady at the counter was great. Coffee was Fresh, place was clean. Would do 5 star, but lot was full. Had to go elsewhere to get some sleep..

This Pilot is awesome! Its clean and newly remodeled. Todd, the general manager is efficient and always willing to help. The gas prices here are the lowest around. I wont get gas anywhere else.

This truck stop/gas station is ome of our favorites! Very cheap drinks and pretty cheap coffee...gas is always on the lower side and the employees are friendly and kind. Good eats and treats and a subway and Wendys (I do believe) are in here as well. Never a bad experience here! Great place to park your semi if you need to rest and clean interior with showers that have very little wait time 💜

Place was under construction when I visited. Glad to see this place getting an upgrade. Smelled kinda weird inside but Im not sure if the work going on inside has anything to do with that. Used the bathroom and got a couple of energy drinks. Well stocked place. Alot of options. Even some new stuff not available at other chain c-stores. Always nice coming here. Service is polite, quick and easy.

Very busy truck 🚛stop...lots going on. You have to get in early to park your trailer so you have a spot. If all other areas are all ready full close to the Pilot store. Then you can bobtail to other restaurants if you have availability. You would think that theres a Truckers convention from all the Truckers that are there ...and the ones that are coming in to check for a spot. This is all day and night. Very interesting truck🚛 stop.😵

I was very impressed with the commercial truck fueling area, it was so clean all the buckets had squeegees and washer fluid the trash was all picked up, the maintenance worker AARON, Takes a lot of pride in his work, he is very courteous and polite, inside the store the staff workers acknowledge you Tiffany is very helpful, they asked me if I found everything and I was very impressed with that, and the other cashier lady from Houston she was very courteous and polite, thank you staff at pilot store 459.

Typical Pilot. Trash cans in the truck parking area are overflowing. Twelve hours after bringing it to a managers attention, nothing has changed.No hot water in the sink in shower room#4. Weird. Soap dispenser in shower is about to fall off the wall.This is why I hate stopping at PFJ truck stops.No one cares. No one maintains anything. They fix it when it finally breaks. Maybe.On the plus side, they have good coffee.

Im thankful for these truck stops, I just wish they would train management a little better on maintaining their store. Fuel pumps are slow, and can improve on cleanliness. I always hear the message, courtesy check the bathrooms but it seem they sign the sheet, but theres no scrubbing or cleaning sinks. For the amount of travelers that use the facility, they need to check mote often. Overall management and employee are top noth, but need improvement. Thank you.

Under remodel, could not find the restroom & place was packed. But what got me was, lines of customers waiting, 5 or 6 employees behind the counter, 2 registered working but the employees acted like nobody was there. Taking their sweet time conversing with each other & laughing instead of getting the customers taken care of. My question would be where was management at? Making sure this doesnt happen when lines were so long.

Every single time I come to this fuel stop there’s always something with the pumps they keypad either doesn’t work or the fueling gun is broken somewhere AND EVERY TIME the parking lot is FULL with disconnected trailers and bobtailers on itI wonder how hard is to ask the guy that checks the reserved parking tickets to also checked unwatched trailers ...
