ADT Field Service Techs are great, dependable, knowledgeable, professional as are their Technical Support Team, when you can reach one of them; their other internal staff support for customer service and billing are in dire need of an upgrade. On Hold wait times have been ridiculous, as well as being transferred multiple times to associates that dont know what to do or how to assist. Rather than training to be polite with an exaggerated greeting of Who do I have the pleasure of assisting today which they trip over consistently, (the telephone system that is used is so poor, you can not hear them state their own names) train instead with good quality professional people that have the tools and knowledge base to quickly take care of their customers. There does not appear to be any employee empowerment that would allow them to be more perceptive and offer suggestions or options beyond what is in their script.
I feel the job was understaffed and at the end of the day I am not 100% satisfied with ADT as a company- the technician was not at fault as he tried every Avenue to resolve the issues beyond his control. They were completely assigned a job too large for a one day install. I had to put my small toddlers to bed at 9pm way later than normal as alarms were constantly going off because the install was not completed until late at night long after dark when it was bot safe to access tall ladders to the second story to adjust or move cameras. I was left with extremely delayed camera footage that I could accomplished with a few $25 Wyze cameras shoved in my current window pointing outside. 13.5 hours for an install with 12 hours to update firmware. Minimal at best tech support. Wrong devices sold that were not compatible with our current home. The company was unable to refund the devices we couldn’t use and I had to pay an additional $1500 on top of the several thousands already spent on the system. I was transferred to Billing, account management account services with no resolution. Our second control panel was left on the headboard of the bed as it did not come with another wall Mount.
On-site technician provided excellent service. ADT has been excellent at keeping us secure and keeping up with the ever changing technology environment. I would recommend them to anyone.

Had swift, competent service to fix 2 different problems at my home. Definitely very pleased!
Since we put the alarm it has never worked, neither the system or the camera. They told me they were coming back in 2 days and never showed up and I called after 30 days who they send never fixed it. They said the maintence would be free for a lifetime bit they charged me $25 also promised me $300 in visa gift cards which never came either. They are dishonest and told me that the system would be $29 a month but it ended up being $80. Also told me the camera would be $100 but they charged me $535 which never even worked. They keep lying and my system never worked. I paid $800 to get out of my contract. Everything they tell you ask them to send you in writing because they lie alot
Brand new cameras and the alarm system were installed IN MY HOUSE--.by a tec. who was working for a CONTRACTOR CO.--This tec. was nice but HE DID NOT HAVE THE SKILLS to complete the job satisfactorily--he was working --8 hours--in my house--WHEN THAT JOB CA BE DONE IN 2 hours.--THE MAIN PROBLE IS ADT--CORPORATE CO. WHICH HIRES THE SERVICE OF CONTRACTOR COMPANIES AND IT IS US---THE CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE TO PAY THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR LACK OF ORGANIZATION--and LACK OF RESPECT-----A FEW DAYS LATER A TEC. FROM THE CORPORATE CO. COMPLETED THE JOB-- I AM VERY SICK AND I LIVE WITH PAIN---AND I DO NOT APPRECIATE WHAT ADT HAS DONE FOR ME.
George Brewer did a great job today! He came to my house to solve a few issues with my cameras and my door lock that was malfunctioning and he was diligent in getting my issues resolved with care and pride in his work! Through my small talk with him throughout his visit he shared that his wife had major surgery today and he was going to head out of town to see her when he was done with my job. Wow! Thats professionalism at its finest he was thorough, and cared about the quality of his work even with tough personal things on his mind. I used ADT for my home & am very disappointed with the services. Not only did sensors not work even after technicians came to check them out, I was never notified by the company that I needed a permit with the police to have an alarm. The one time the alarm did go off (over nothing, the sensors were acting up again) I was charged over $300 fine to the police. When I called ADT, they told me I’d likely get a refund as this happens frequently. It took them FIVE months to get to my case, they rudely declined my refund & blamed me even though according to the LAW it is the alarm company’s obligation to notify me of the permit. I have canceled my services with them (which cost $500 for breaking my contract early) however have yet to received a terminated contract from them. Now I’m not sure if they’re going to keep charging me. They will take as much as money as they can from you without the worst services. Avoid ADT!
Highly recommend. Our rep Damond Curry was so helpful. He had answers for every question we had, and we had a lot. He made sure got exactly what we wanted and even came to make sure our installation went well. If you’re looking for someone educated within the company and a reliable he’s your guy. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get ADT!
George Brewer, technician for ADT installed my ADT doorbell/video camera. He did an outstanding job and stuck with the project even though he met with external obstacles. He troubleshooted the issue until it was completely resolved. I’ve been an ADT customer for several years and I highly recommend this company!

Terrible company, full of thieves. The sales person failed to mention a 3 year contract when we had a 2 year lease on the building. We ended up moving to another location which was set up with a different alarm company. Now we are stuck with paying $40 a month for another 2 years or buying out of the contract for the same price. who in their right mind would sign a 3 year contract on a 2 year lease. when i called in and mention to the service person the details, they said there was nothing that could be done. now we are stuck paying a bill every month on service we arent even using anymore. this also happen to my parents with the same company.

Installed system the most basic way, in and out in 30 minutes. Had me sign off. Told me a appointment was made for a more advanced installation team to come out and run the outdoor cameras through the attic. Never happened.2 nights ago we had the fire department called by a neighbor because we left the water pot boiling all night. Turned bright red and a neighbor safed our lives.226am I called adt. The arse clown never registered the smoke detector. Only 10 days after initial installation I needed help. I didnt get help because the install man was in a rush.Since the 19th of July of the 6 items installed 3 have failed. The cameras which were suppose to have been installed outdoors are not even out door cameras.Just a huge waste of time dealing with Defender. Had the issue escalated to a real adt rep. I want this system finally and correctly installed not rushed through.
Had a great service man George Brewer come out and fix my alarm today, he was very polite and figured out issue immediately and fixed it. Absolutely recommend if you fill you would like a trust worth worker in your home George Brewer hes your guy.
