Very genuine owner and all items are so fresh and new.Samosa was awesome. I will definitely go again next week during my visit to Bakersfield for medical purpose. I will post photos of inside of store. I liked it 😊🙌

The store has new owners for almost 2 years, and since then, there is hardly any stock of frozen/refrigerated items available. The current owners wife does not cook too well, even though there are regular customers who stop by on Saturdays to pick up food for the week. The shelves are lacking in items, and now there is no sweet meats either. I have started going to another store and have been able to buy what is needed, including fresh cooked food. Very disappointed, as the current owners are super nice people.

A-1 has a wonderful selection of goods that are not easy to find elsewhere that is supported by very friendly shopkeepers who are so helpful, especially if you bring your shopping list. They will literally get everything for you that you need and are incredibly kind. Its a rewarding shopping experience. Thank you. See you next time.

The only problem was that the men have terrible customer service and watched my husband and I shop. Made us feel a little uncomfortable. But the wife was nice and they have a great selection for what we needed.

Very friendly with helping you find items. They are very polite and they give you options on different pricing for different products. I bought a henna cone for some summer tattoos, and they sell probably the best one that develops faster than others we tried from other stores. I will definitely go back for other things too.

Incredibly friendly owners, and a large variety of every rare and exotic ingredient that any Indian recipe requires. Fantastic place to shop for spices. The only downside is that most items are not labeled with a price, so you have to spend a lot of time going back and forth to ask “how much is this?”

Nice store with good collection of Indian grocery. they carry most of the indian stuff including rice, lintels, masalas, cookies, snacks etc etc. they also bring fresh vegetables every week on Friday so for veggies mark it as Friday. Also serve few vegetarian snacks. They carry packed sweets and khara. people are very friendly and good. They do have wheelchair parking, wheelchair entrance but inside the store difficult for wheelchair to move around. This store is small compared other Indian stores however they have everything which you see in other Indian stores. The store is on wible road and near to 99 fwy. Overall very good store, people are very friendly.

Very friendly & helpful staff. I needed to know what gift would be appropriate for an Indian friend on Duvali and they were very helpful in making a good selection and understanding what was appropriate. While I was there I introduced myself to several of their fresh confections. There was everything from foods fresh & packaged, to videos, incense, et cetera, mostly imported from India. Seems to have decent prices as well. Slightly dodgy part of town, but a nice little shop.

Be careful! Watch them or else they will charge you extra without your knowledge and the stuff is sometimes stale.
