The only place in Bakersfield I support for my Indian Sweets and Spices. Their carrot Burfi is the best. Its always kept clean although the outside of the location looks old and unkempt. If youre in a large truck, be prepared to look for other parking down the street. The parking spaces and lot are/is very small. But its absolutely worth it. Im a crazy white girl that loves Indian cuisine and sweets and I can always count on them to have what I need. Theyre amazing people and I hope you give them a chance, no matter what the neighborhood or outside of their establishment looks like. Dont judge a book by its cover. Totally worth your while. Holes in the wall are more often than not, are the places you want to be.
Great place to pick up bulk spices. Good fresh ready made indian food. Lots of sweets and specialty foods. Service is good.
Average selection of spices, indifferent service
Good store needs a lot of attention
There food is good the only problem is that their service is not so polite they look at you like if they dont want you there and they make you fill uncomfortable
Grocery is good but the employees need training in how to interact with customers. To start they can have a smile on their face.
Indian products good one
Amazing samosas. Always friendly
The owner was a very nice gentleman. The prices are reasonable. Bought some red beans they were fresh and four pounds $5 cause less than what I buy two pounds for at the grocery store @$1.50+/lbs.
I was referred to this place by my boss! The samosas are sooooo good and they make them fresh! They also have a ton of items in the store to make Your fav homemade Indian cuisine at home! Especially, while we are all at home quarantined! I will definitely be back!
Great stop for quick & fresh bites!
Excellent selection of any and all Indian spices and foods. Plus a really impressive array of pastries I assume made in-house. The clerks were attentive and very helpful. Would highly recommend. Also, I doubt youll find a better place to purchase Ghee in bulk.
The small shop is packed to the gills with things people from the subcontinent need. Parking is limited. As are smiles from the people who work there. Limited veggies.. But this is one of the few places to get bittergourd and other items one cant find elsewhere. They also have a small kitchen and make tasty vegetarian Indian fast-food.
Very kind staff and good service.
Nice place for Desi stuff but crowded shelves and space inside
Food with real quality ingredients. The service was friendly and sociable. Prices were reasonable.
This family run business serves a few Indoan specialties like chana, lassie, and samosa. It is fun to watch Indian TV while eating in the cafe. There is a wide variety of spices, fresh vegetables, packaged Indian foods and fresh sweets. We enjoy talking to the owner. We have going there for 15 years.
Cheap price then other Indian store
Still a chance to grab most of your Indian recipe ingredients and some dried peas unavailable at other grocery stores.
Nice people and awesome little spot to get traditional Indian homemade sweets made fresh as well as some fresh produce and all sorts of spices, spice blends, canned chutneys and so much more. loved it
I was craving some Chai so went in for some black tea. The lady who help me was very helpful. Even though it was busy in there she still let me try some. Very good!! Will come back
Great little indian store will all the ingredients you need to make an amazing indian meal.
Best samosas you can get.
Exotic & Aromatic Spices From India♥️
Looking forward to a return visit. it has a cool atmosphere.
Very bad service over priced
Not bad at all, but could be better. They have almost everything you need from a DESI grocery store, would like to see some more frozen varieties.
We go here to buy gulab jamun idk if that’s spelled right. Spell check didn’t even try to help me out. I love the pastries here. We usually end up with a box full and half the box makes it home to share. There is lots of other grocery type products here but we mainly go for the desserts.
Amazing food!! Friendly, understanding, and helpful. Great selection.
I cant get enough of their tea! Food is great also and very affordable
A typical Desi grocery store with exceptional burfi/sweets. The staff are consistently nice and the prices are very good.
Good food and very nice people and very helpful
The gulab jamuns are the best. The Chana puri is the best if you are going on a long drive and you want to eat
I love popping in and getting chai, samosa, pakorda and some dessert.
Guess it’s one if the oldest Indian grocery store in Bakersfield, they carry most of the indian stuff including rice, lintels, masalas, cookies, snacks etc etc. they also bring fresh vegetables every week on Friday so for veggies mark it as Friday. Also serve vegetarian food like Samosas, rotis, paratas, paneer Pakoda, veggie pakoda, chole batura etc, either to go or you can sit and eat. They carry fresh sweet made by them also some khara (snacks). people are very friendly and good. They do have wheelchair parking.
Love this place
Spices, grains, samosas. This place is full of treats. The customer service isnt that great but you dont care because the food is bomb and so affordable.
So many different things and great prices.
Best prices in town! And amazing customer service!!!
The store is a mess... but totally enjoyed my chole samosa... tasted like ragdaa samosa from Mumbai 😀
Very good food and indian grocery. I am a happy customer since 2004. I always recommend this place to friends who want to try indian food.
Nice but every indian grocery item is little expensive than other stores
Female employee at the counter very unfriendly !!!
Poor customer service👎
This not related to the food at all. But doesnt anyone know where theres a store where i could be able to buy a mans kurta? not online but an actual store here in bakersfield?

Best Jilebi in all central valley, hands down. customer service need to improve a lot.other food is ok.
Great place to buy small Indian snacks, grocery and sweets
One word RUDE. Horrible customer service we were told that the store was closed when we went in at 7:30pm the Internet says the store closes at 8:30pm I asked for samosas the clerk told me there werent any when you could clearly see samosas through the glass display. Awful experience
After the 3rd visit the lady at the counter actually cracked a smile! The food is awful. The Bhelpuri...gosh it was so horrible that one spoon and I was done, went with a group of friends. Who heard of dry daal in bhelpuri? It wasnt Bhel it was a crime on the stomach! And best of all the owner was sitting in the eating area and heard us! It is dirty and very unwelcoming place. How can anyone say the food is good? And by the way what kind of taste these people have who like the food? Terrible. I thought the kadhi would be good..but guess what? They threw the pakodas that they sell in the front and that was it...ew..I wish I could buy it and would whip it into shape.
It is a small store. I found everything i was looking for, however Im not from India.
Good food and nice people.
Amazing Samosas, and the podina Chutney is out of this world.
That was ok. Vegetables were not fresh. Dirty. Not happy with the staff. Staff were egoistic. For urgent need its ok.
Family like treatment appreciated
The owner is a nice gentleman, God bless him

Good to buy indian grocery!!
I found a variety of items, groceries and personal hygiene items, but most of my purchase was far overpriced. I will only buy 1 item from this place, going forward.
Love it
Called and asked them when will be they closing, they said, 9.00pm I arrived at this store at 8.22PM earlier then fhe the closing time and the store was closed
Good paratha groceries available
Worst atmosphere.
Good taste in low prices
Totally rude. Not good at customer service. I will be taking my shopping elsewhere. Does not even deserve the one star.
The employees dont know what the sweets they make are made of.
The samosas are delicious!
So tastey
They dont treat people right.
Nice gentleman Uncle
My respect for the help & education that the people have there. They are very friendly.
