Great store that serves the needs of locals as well as weekend warriors like myself. They always have what I need it seems like with the exception of lumber. Prices are reasonable for a local hardware store and they always have several cashiers working so even when busy, the wait isnt very long.

Employees working when I went there didnt lift a finger to help me out. My presence seemed to be more of an annoyance than anything.

I have stopped here at least six times this year, maybe more. Considering the ratio of employees to customers and other factors, I feel that I was well taken care of. You need to go here! Dont drive further than you have to, they have a HUGE selection of hardware, home improvement, cleaning supplies and seasonal items! You have to see it to believe it! Need a bird feeder? Go here! How about a shovel? Here as well! Tools? Yup! Paper towels? You know it! Dippin Dots? Yummy! Yes they do! Stop in...youll be as amazed as I was!

2 employees not following the store’s COVID 19 face mask policy posted at their entrance. 1 gentleman was not wearing a mask at all and the second had a mask but it was pulled down to his chin and wasn’t covering his mouth nor his nose while he was not within 6ft distance from me.

For a little store they usually have what I need.

Like all the best hardware stores should be, Baldwin Ace Hardware has more selection than your average hardware store. Not only do they carry all of your typical hardware products, but they also have a sizable sporting goods area as well as gifts. To top off that they also have a friendly and helpful staff ready to assist you.

They have more things than my local Ace. But their prices are WAY over standard. Is it because its in a small town? ? I guess that might even be worse... Id only come here if you had an emergency repair and time was of the essence.

The Baldwin Ace store has out-serviced the big box stores in Big Rapids. I have had more success and guidance from this store and their helpful & knowledgeable staff over the big box stores. It truly is a Win - Win saving time and getting back to enjoy our trip and place Up North. 👍 Highly Recommended.

The service they give you is rude and never ask if you might need help they only help people that they only want to associate themselves with and service upfront is no better with their nasty attitude for being in a dead-end job. sadly customers only shop there and deal with the attitude because its the only hardware store in town. I rather take a 36 mile drive to Home Depot then deal with The under performance of customer service that they have and I can’t wait until corporate finds out.

This used to be a great store. Had been doing business with them for at least 2 different owners. Recently had a problem with the owner or manager. Kind of accused me of stealing . Then said no, Im not accusing you but kept product. Isnt that accusing me? Yes thats right no offer of a refund.They made an error ringing me up. I will not go back if im a good customer. Beware they can bite, you might be next.

The staff at ACE in Baldwin are fantastic. The fellas always help me with my projects and help me find what I need. I have been a customerer for 10 years. 5 star customerer service!

April 19, 2020 I tried going into Baldwin Ace Hardware to return two items and to buy a few other things and they REFUSED to let my 10 year Autistic son in the store because he wasnt over 16 years old. I dont have a babysitter for him. This to me is discrimination. Tell me where in the Governors order does it say an age limit for entry of a hardware store?!?! They will not receive another penny of my money, EVER!!

You probably can find just about anything that you would need hardware,camping, plumbing supplies great place to check first. They are helpful but some things are little pricey but its better than driving an extra 30 miles.

Dont know what happened to the good help they had working there. Went today and needed help and there were no one around

Its a nice place and lots of staff to help you but it certainly isnt cheap. Its the kind of place I would only go when Im in the middle of a time-sensitive job and I have to have the part. Otherwise I drive to Big Rapids and pay considerably less.

Better than Lowes and not as far. When you live in the middle of nowhere, sometimes the drive to the megastores costs more than what you need. Thank goodness for Ace in Baldwin.
