Convenient place for shopping for Indian groceries. Probably slightly more expensive than Patel but that is to be expected. Very wide selection of items including Haldirams snacks and frozen foods. The samosas are really nice and pack just the right level of spice.

If you are a Desi person and craving some Desi food, do visit this place. You will find products from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh here. I frequently go there to buy fish, spices and some snack items such as Dosa, Samosa, Shami kabab, Halim etc. They sell halal meats as well. You can find sweets such as Laddu, Jalebi etc here. Its conveniently located in Hopkins campus. Highly recommend

They have curry leaves, which is used in several north Indian and south Indian dishes.The shop is small but full of different types of products such as spices, sweets, cereals, paneer, dahi, wheat flour, oils, and ghee. They also have basic utensils required for cooking such as cooker, kadai, pans etc.

Small overcrowded international food shop. Has all your needs to make most south Asian things. Decent selection, very nice staff. They even have samosas and sometimes other prepared food. My only beef is it is a little small, and maybe cleanliness could be a little better. Good neighborhood shop though.

Very kind and friendly service. My 4 year old loves coming because the nice man at the register (possibly the owner) will give him a juice box.

No where to park ! The delivery van was parked sideways to prevent customers from parking. Cashier was Ok but, the man that appeared to be the owner was not friendly at all. I got the message that I was not welcome and will not be back.

This little neighborhood gem is the perfect complement to Big Grocery Store shopping. The extensive variety of nuts, seeds, spices, rices, flours, lentils, sauces, chutneys, and other ingredients are neatly organized and nicely priced. There’s also fresh produce and refrigerated and frozen ingredients and prepared foods. Halal chicken and lamb are available.The freshly baked samosas are delicious — and the Punjab carries many types of cookies and sweets, including Cadbury chocolates. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Parking is limited, so it’s best to park around the block on Barclay or another side street off of East 33rd.

This is a go to Indian store for all the people living in and around the Homewood area. I have given one star less as this is not the safest of all the localities. It is preferable that you come by your own vehicle here and not walk all the way down to this place.

After a bad experience with another racist Halal store in Baltimore, this place was a joy and filled my heart with happiness. You walk in and the employees and owners are extremely kind and accommodating. Mashallah. The meat is excellent and the store is very organized and clean. The prices are great also. I was able to find everything I needed and was happy to find Grape seed oil! The brother cutting the meat was awesome and very kind. He immediately acknowledged me when he turned around and I was able to get the meat cuts I enjoy and since I have been into Chef Ramsey, Tasty and really cooking fresh meals inshallah to help the wife, this is a key go-to place now. Great experience. Go!

Best Samosas in town. Pleasant employees, AND they sell Cadbury Crunchies. A favorite since I was a child. Grandfather would send them to us from England.

The guy in the butcher area is an obnoxious miserable guy who is very rude to customers. Average selection of frozen halal products . It was my first visit and the experiences in the butcher area made it my last. There are at least three other halal stores in the area so I dont need to put up with bad manners. He didn’t realize I have actually owned and run successful Halal supermarkets and this butcher he has employed will cost the owner a lot of damage in loss of revenue.

We love this International grocery store. There is a large selection of fruits and vegetables as well as specialty items. The owners are really nice people. Fresh samosas are available every day.

Went for the oxtail thinking I was going to get fresh cut meat and when I arrived they opened a freezer with frozen pieces of oxtail in a bag!!!!The audacity was high!!!The guy literally weighs the frozen meat which was literally pre-cut and hands it to me!!!I couldn’t believe it.I still had hope and brought the meat home and the taste was horrible. The meat was freezer burned and did not taste fresh at all.Will never be returning for any type of meat.Now, the service was great, my kids even got free candy and the selection of other products and very good and that’s where the 3 starts are going towards.

They have everything that I need to cook Indian dishes and I love their fresh samosa. I will say their samosa is more tasty than most of the Delhi street samosa!

Their price for spices are lower than any grocery store (Safeway, Shoppers etc). Frozen Naan bread is delicious. I dont ever need to make it at home again. I am AA and the workers are always nice to me. They even give my kids treats forfree and carry my heavy meats to the car for me.

There was beef in my ground chicken I guess from the meat that was grounded before mine. I dont eat beef but my chicken do so it wasnt a huge deal I just made them their own separate pot of food so that I didnt ingest any beef. More precautions should be used to prevent this..

Let me tell you something great about this store.You know that puny little bottle of cumin you bought the other day at Whole Foods for eight bucks? Well, if you had gotten your cumin here, you could have gotten a BAG with at least three times as much cumin, for only THREE dollars. And its not just cumin, its just about every spice you can think of.They have a small selection of produce, and mostly stuff you would use in Indian dishes, like onions, ginger, cauliflower, okra, etc. But it is good and cheap. They also have a lot of imported Indian frozen foods that you probably wouldnt be able to find anywhere else in Baltimore.But the real reason to come here is the crazy cheap spices and beans.

Alhamdulilah best halal market in the city ....... The store is clean and the customer service is great it gives you that small town feel inside...... I have been to many halal markets where the stores arent clean and they use unsanitary methods of butchering the meats. This store isnt like that at all you dont have to worry about whether or not your going to end up with food poisoning.... This is the only place In sha Allah I will buy my food from...

I am an ayurvedic practicing american that has just discovered this gem of a store. I have been there twice in 2 weeks and have felt most welcome both times. The employees have jumped at the opportunity to guide me through my experience shopping here. The prices cant be beat by our commercial grocery stores. I highly recommend giving Punjab a try.

Closest Asian (Indian/Pakistani) grocery store to Homewood campus JHU. Not a very safe neighborhood after 8 PM. Some spices and vegetable produce are not very fresh. The meat options though offer high quality and variety.

I really wonder about the kindness of these people. There are reviews saying they were treated so well and then one by an African-American saying he was racially profiled. My partner and I have gone in there many times and have always been treated like dirt. Many times the older men will tell me they dont have what I am looking for then I find it on the shelves. They are extremely unfriendly to us and unwilling to help. They must be bigots and I am going to look for a new Indian Grocer.

They are improving. Ive been going to this place for 8 years now. They used to be less clean and organized than what they are now. Though, there is a lot of room for improvement.
