I love this liquor store not bc they have friendly helpful associates when you come in the door but will assist you to ensure you get everything you desire that you came in to get. The IPA section is vast and theyre cheese and crackers selection is to die for. I am always pleased when i visit and oftentimes get more of what i want bc of the friendly atmosphere. They missed out on a big order because they deliver to Baltimore City EXCEPT Brooklyn (per the owner)…which is still Baltimore City, by the way.They should clarify that on their website because it states they deliver to “Baltimore City only”! They should mention the parts of Baltimore City they DON’T deliver to.

I am all for supporting a brick and mortar store in my neighborhood, and in the past have largely refrained from buying at large chains such as Total Wine which naturally can offer lower prices. But if you dont care about me, then why should I care about you?

Don’t expect the employees to wear masks, except on their chins.When I walked in there were 3 guys at the counter by the door wearing no masks.When I got to the registers, 2 people were doing the chin thing. And then a guy with his nose sticking out came right up next to me and offered to carry my stuff to the car.I actually would have liked the help, but no mask, no thanks.Maybe I’ll go back someday after the pandemic is over, but it’s more likely that I’ll find a more responsible business and give them my money and loyalty instead.

Wells I feel is the best liquor store in the neighborhood. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a budget and are looking for something specific the staff makes suggestions with a variety of different price ranges in your budget. They have a great selection of local beers, as well as other microbreweries, domestic and international favorites. A broad range of spirits and wine as well.

They have a great selection of beer wine and alcohol in general. I love the fact that they have their own Growler station and Growlers to sell. Try the Route 66 Dill chips theyre phenomenal! They also have their very own Chiller you can place your alcohol in to get it as cold as you need before you leave.

They always have sales on liquor and wine! Go in on any friday evening for a free sample from a local distillery. I love this liquor store, its the cheapest liquor store Ive ever been too for it being in Baltimore county and they have a great wine selection!

Great selection, and employees are eager to help and recommend. When I have kids in tow, they even insist on helping me carry my purchases to the car. Its also easy to pop in and pop out quickly, which is key for me.

We recommend Wells. The doors open automatically. I have not seen any wheelchairs in there, but the aisle seem wide enough for them, if not, there are plenty staff to help get things. As soon as you enter, someone greets you, maybe even more than one person. Every worker that Ive asked to help me, go out of their way to do so.

My neighborhood liquor store. Great prices and selection compared to other local stores. Very friendly staff and quick check-outs. Although, the parking can be irritating during prime hours. I try to go there in the off times. Would recommend this liquor store to anyone in the area. Im not quite sure of the racism, as I am a Caucasian woman. There has been a great deal of crime in the surrounding shopping centers lately, which may be the basis for following people. It is unfortunate if following customers is due to race and would be disappointing. Although, I generally would not agree to leaving a dog in a car depending on the temperature outside (this is in regards to a previous comment).

No other place can compete with the level of care they give to their customers.I ALWAYS get great recommendations from staff. Where some employees at other establishments would just shrug and leave you to figure it out on your own when you ask for help with something they arent well versed in, Wells staff arent afraid to say they are unsure about it and then (*gasp*) ask another staff member who may have greater knowledge on the subject. Or even head to a computer or whip out their phone to help look it up!And THAT is what leads me to my updated review, even though I already gave 5 stars. I had a great sparkling Moscato at a restaurant last week and based solely on a picture of the menu found online, followed by a quick Google search of the name, and a check in the database, two staff members were able to locate it and get 2 bottles shipped to the store for me within a few days. It doesnt get any better than that. Thank you!

My favorite place to buy wine and other adult beverages. The staff are happy to help with recommendations-- tell them what you want to pair the wine with, and they will give you great selections. This is my go-to wine shop.

I was really, really pleased with my experience here. After trying three other places I couldnt find the whiskey I was looking for due to it always selling out and being released in small allocations. I called the store and they happen to have one bottle in stock. Guy reserved it for me which meant a lot. I also ended up getting some wine for a dish I was making and the employee working was just super helpful and directed me to exactly what I was looking for. Ill be back.

I’ve been going to Well’s for 30 years, no doubt spending $10K plus for weekend needs, parties, holidays and events. I recently bought 2 bottles of wine for a holiday. The corks for both had crystallized, the wine was full of sediment, and tasted awful. I spilled out the wine, took a picture of sediment, and took my receipt and the corks with me to the store.The first 2 employees said there was nothing they could do without the bottles. When the manager came over, he started to explain to me how the wine could still be good despite the crystals and the sediment (even though I told him it wasn’t)Really? Arguing with a customer over two $16 bottles of wine?I was flabbergasted. Rather than create a scene, I simply turned and walked out. A new low in customer service.

Id like to thank the incredibly helpful staff at Wells. Patrick was diligent in fulfilling my request for a beer that turned out not to be distributed in Maryland and had a case at the store for me within a month. The entire staff is always friendly and looking to help you find what you need and, in this case, above and beyond. This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for something other stores dont carry.

A lot of variety for both wine and liquor. Friendly, helpful staff. Take my advice and grab a mini shopping cart on the way in...chances are you will leave with more than what was on your list.

It seems as if this place absolutely does not value discrimination in the work place. They don’t treat their employees fairly,hence the reason why they may treat their customers poorly. I’ve visited this liquor store a few times & each time I hear employees yelling across the store inappropriate content to other employees (I tried to sum that up as professional as I could have).

Great selection, great prices and very courteous staff.

Six packs are an avrage of $2 more than every other store in the area. $3-$4 12 packs. Also the liquors you cant buy with a normal credit card seems to be very targeted at a specific set of customers. If its not rush hour, keep driving north on York Rd to get to much more fair priced liquor store. I have not experienced quality service posted in other reviews.
