This place would earn a higher rating if the entire store or just a little bit better in regards of Kroger has the thing where they have someone bagged your groceries for you but you usually have to bag it yourself and most of the people that work there now are a little bit rude about it and just toss all your groceries down with a passion. Not to mention most of the stuff is never stocked. I only gave it an extra star because of the free air from the gas station lol.
Just visiting but really liked their small liquor store, selection was pretty great for a supermarket store, good advice from the clerk as well. Store was good but really just bought some paquis chips and beer. They have their own gas station and a Lee’s fried chicken in the same center.
Generally not a bad store but many items always out of stock. As popular as these at home covid tests are if you arent going to order an extra supply, how about putting a sign on your front door saying youre out of stock so people arent standing in line for 20 minutes waiting to find that bit of useful information out from the pharmacy department. Its the wasted time thats so annoying.
Stopped at this Kroger to load up on supplies. Passing thru. At the deli counter and order some sliced lunch meat and notice a lot of flies landing on counter and scales. I asked the gentleman why they do not get rid of them and he replied, “They won’t let us have fly traps”. “We can’t keep the door open” I suggested after they close and clean for the night they could spray for bugs. There were so many flies I took a picture to send to corporate. He said management won’t do anything. I’ve been all over the US RVing and this is the dirtiest Kroger I’ve ever been in. I had to tell him to clean the scale before laying the meat on it. He waved his hand back and forth while weighing the meat to keep the flies from landing on it. Disgusting! I prefer to shop at Publix but they haven’t opened one in Kentucky yet. (Coming soon to Louisville I hear) I was disgusted at how dirty this food store was. Glad I don’t run into this situation often.
I LIKE SHOPPING HERE ITS CONVENIENT FOR ME AND CLOSE TO HOME.. ALSO THE SERVICE IS REALLY NICE AND VERY HELPFUL.
Have everything you need. Love There Sales.
JT at the Kroger Wine & Liquor was exceptionally helpful to some out-of-town visitors looking for good local bourbon!
Usually have a good experience, however I was turned away from the deli counter as they “already had some set out”, despite saying I needed a cut thinner than they set out in bulk. On top of that, after being told no, quite bluntly, the employee walked away.
I usually never go inside any stores these days due to just how rude employees have become these days. And I rarely go to Kroger period. But tonight I decided to walk into Kroger to try and satisfy a sweet tooth and there was an lady working and she was so nice and helpful and went out of her way to make suggestions on what to try and I truly appreciate it. It’s been a long time since I’ve had an employee be so kind. I wish I would have caught her name but whoever she is thank you for being a decent human being and helping me find what I wanted, it truly means a lot.
This place is huge cant believe how huge it is
Willie was a great help today. He is always willing to help and is so polite. Love shopping at my Kroger store.Go 408
Great staff and selection.
Love the store but the pharmacy is always a terrible wait
Manager didnt know how to make strong decision for customer satisfaction.Other thing they didnt have return policy posted on self scan area which looks like their carelessness and customer will never get happy.I purchased item which is already used by someone else that i noticed when i get to parking lot and went back to exchange it they are showing me the return policy only at the customer service area. Also in this digital even they cannot have pop up in the screen with return policy which seems like they are laid back. I am fully dissatisfied with store manager and customer service person out there at the store number 408.
My wife ordered Thanksgiving dinner from them over 2 weeks early. She called today to see when she could pick it up on Thursday, but they couldnt find her order. The manager started giving her a sob story about how the company didnt make enough and they were having to cancel orders. She offered to cook a breast but that was it, then all of the sudden she got cut off (right). We never got a cancelation call and they never even claimed that they called. Very unprofessional especially in the current circumstances. Avoid like the plague, they just dont care.My wife just found it on her phone, the gentlemans was Anthony it was ordered on November 8th she gave him her name and number and they gave a price of 70.00 dollars. They called her back about an hour later saying they had FOUND her order. Seems unlikley but trying to be fair. Caused a huge problem at our house being just a couple of days before Thanksgiving. To be honest the food was better than expected and all involved enjoyed it. Bumped the review from the initial 1 star to 3.
My shopping experiences here have been very good. Everyone seems friendly and willing to take the time to help me with any questions I may have. They are all quite busy, but can still be friendly and helpful. They are all truly talented people.
Their pharmacy is the worst! I have never felt so marginalized by a corporation, the management, and employees in my life. The employees stocking and shopping for pickup act like youre in the way. They rearrange the shelves every 3 months. The Starbucks has one person working so be prepared to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee.
Ok at best. Since I work 3rd shift I shop late, always stocking and ripping up floors, I thought that was why they closed from 1 to 6. Parking lot definitely needs restriping nobody seems to know when theyre supposed to stop. And for the love of god stop rearranging the store!!
Pam is the best florist ever. She went above and beyond for my little girls first dance
Everything about this place is great always friendly staff and a really good experience every time I come to shop here.
This is a great store all around. Good selection of fruits and vegetables. Lots of organic choices. Very nice beer selection. Employees are warm and friendly.
If you are an extreme couponer I strongly advise you to stay clear of Toby( girl) cashier she is miserable not friendly (confirmed by many other shoppers) and yes some of my coupons In fact we’re expired but it’s not there place nor store policy to throw my coupons Away or refuse to give them back to me so I can take my merchandise off that didn’t go through simply because she didn’t scan them. I left out of the store so mad I was crying I have never been treated so poorly in my years of couponing I’ll never be back that’s a fact Walgreens right around the corner. Still saved 113% on my order Toby 😜
I dont shop at Kroger awhole lot but I do grab a few things if needed when I go to the pharmacy. I do use their pharmacy about once a week. I love Kroger pharmacy, the Staff is always so nice and helpful. They always have the medicine I need and it only takes about 20-30 minutes to be filled once I drop it off. I went last week and my insurance wasnt active at the time, the medicine price for one week without insurance was 157$. I was able to download a insurance saver card that Kroger accepted and got the price to 54$. I am very pleased with the pharmacy there.
Best place to get groceries in Bardstown. Very clean store and great staff. The store can be somewhat picked over sometimes, but Ive never had an issue finding what I need. Great prices and people!
Great fantastic really enjoyed it
The young lady that helped check me out was excellent! CHEC 511 was extremely patient and kind as I made a mad dash to finish my MEGA purchase!! Thank you so much for hiring young adults with respect.
Friendly and helpful for the most part. But the Click-it proxy shoppers are rude, walk in front of you, block isles so you have to turn around or get their attention t let you by. This can make a person feel important.
Click list is just a bunch of lazy children. Couldnt complete half my order then I go in and was able to find everything but 2 items. So thanks. For making a guy with a toen tendon go walking around!!!!!!
This is a very nice Kroger. Its very clean, very big, tons of options in all departments, and the layout is pleasing. What sets it apart from the other nearby locations is the sheer volume of gluten free options. There are GF things at this Kroger that I didnt know any store sold. At my nearest Kroger they have maybe half of the GF options. Where my nearby Kroger is only a five minute drive I still make the nearly thirty minute trip here just so I can get what I want.
Need to hire more help. Every time I go there everyone checking out has to bag their own groceries.
I just needed batteries and fortunately theyre up front. Busy day, a long walk from where I could park, but the prices were great. Apparently, Krogers is getting out of the house branded battery business. It was still a long walk back to my car.
My boyfriend and I did frequent this Kroger since we’ve moved in. I’ve seen multiple people enter and exit the store with cats, kittens, dogs and puppies not wearing any shred of evidence of service animal vests or what have you. So this evening when we were driving home and I needed to stop for food we didn’t think anything of bringing our sick bal python in with us as she’s calm and honestly lethargic right now. The problem I have isn’t with the fact that we could not have her in the building, since I understand although no rules are posted and no information can be found on, in or directly outside the store that pets of any variety are not allowed. The problem I had was with the u scan associates reaction of screaming “G*dd**** it” and screaming at us to leave after we had made it through the store, selected our goods and chose to check out. Not one of the three associates we’d encountered (one at the door and two sitting at Starbucks) had said anything nor alerted us to any wrong doing. But even that isn’t my qualm. My issue is with the way the situation was handled. We had two... elderly ladies SCREAMING at us to leave, pointing at my boyfriend and yelling at him to “get out of the store right now” AS HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO THE DOOR. Not only that but I asked them both NUMEROUS times if I could just pay for my items and go as they were also screaming at me to leave despite my only holding Kroger merchandise and not a reptile. It is not a hyperbole when I say that I’ve never been so mortified and so angry at the mishandling of a situation in my entire life. Could someone not have pulled us aside and quietly asked him to leave and wait in the car or at the VERY LEAST quietly and professionally asked us both to leave the establishment?
When go in a Kroger this where I go. Parking lot is always busy but the store is stocked well and checkout is fast. I just wish the Starbucks moved as fast as the rest of the store.
Great prices and decent selection. They also have self checkouts.Lost one star for lack of mobile payments, I hope they update to the safer payment method soon.
I think it could use some more staff but the staff is very nice and they do care about their customers. Kroger is not pricey at all so I absolutely love it.
Clean facility, friendly staff. The people stocking goods helped me find what I needed. Wonderful experience!!! Not one thing I can complain about 😃😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
This Kroger is amazing. Has all the new products and rare hard to find food items. Employees are so nice at this store.
I absolutely love delivery.. my shopper was Karen and she is so professional.. will do again.
Closes at night instead of being 24 hrs now and is very inconvenient for some. Uscan workers are never paying attention so customer has to stand around and wait for help. Store is clean and isles are open are the only good things that I can say about our local store.
Love the new clicklist option on getting groceries. For a working mother with limited time it is a great option Im getting groceries. People who work here are super nice. The store is clean.
I love Krogers. You have to try the Clicklist. You go join online at Kroger. Then you look up all your groceries and check them on the list. Then for each one you can give special instructions and check if you want substitutes or not. While you are checking items you get a running total. If your on a budget like most of us we have only so much money 💰 and appreciate a running approximate total. Trust me. Try it.........you just might like it.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Shopped online with the chicklist and came to pick up my groceries. Everything was just thrown in and if something fell out of the bag he threw the bag in my car. NOT HAPPY. How am i supposed to carry in my groceries easily with an infant.
Always find what I need and more. Very friendly and good prices with card.
Staff are very helpful! Produce is nice quality! The salad and sushi bar can get picked over at the end of the week.
Krogers very nice lady casher an other lady workers in the store that helped me find things I couldnt find,QUIT TAKING UP ALL THE HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP THERES LESS THAN 10 HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES AT BARDSTOWN KROGERS
I love Kroger. The selection is wonderful and I like the fact I didnt have to walk the length of a football field to get milk.
I love this place!! Clean and well stocked. Super friendly associates!!
Parking is a nightmare. Always moving things around. I cannot find things. ALWAYS have to wait in line to check out. Deli is always backed up so I say forget it. Floral area. Flowers look old and VERY VERY PRICEY.
This store is the bees GD pajamas! I cant believe what Im seeing with this store.I could go on and on about the quality staff, but everyone in town knows that. I could go on about the facility, but we already know this! What we care about are THE PRICES! AND THE PRICES ARE INCREDIBL3!
Has everything you need. Cost is usually pretty cheap as well. Great service, usually. Overall a 4.
Enjoy shopping at Kroger. Easy to find what you are looking for. Deli staff is great!
Love my Kroger store! Was so excited to see my Kroger store here in Bardstown when we moved here this past summer! Thank you Kroger!
Great selection. However the store is rearranged every few months. This means every time you go in you may have to spend an extra 30 minutes looking for your products. Circumvent this by ordering your groceries on clicklist and picking them up.
I have been shopping here for over 50 years love it always someone there to help you if you need help.
Love Krogers, feels more like your friendly neighborhood store rather than Walmart
Everyone in the store was as polite as he they could be wonderful atmosphere this time of year
The trip to Kroger is very well people were friendly building was clean merchandise look very good and had a good day shopping I will continue to go to Kroger because they give good prices and they are centrally located for me to go shopping people are very friendly at Kroger they always didnt want to help you
Enjoy shopping here. It is clean and well organized
Love my Krogers, other than Bardstown taking out the Olive bar, sad. I shop Lagrange and Bardstown and both are always clean and stocked. Staff friendly.
I do Kroger pick up I love it I give you a lot of extra coupons for doing clicklist
A great variety of items I cant find elsewhere. Their produce is superior to Walmart.
My wife and I shop for groceries here all the time we absolutely love this store. Very helpful people and clean
Great place to get all your groceries and the deli is top notch.
Umm... they have all the groceries I want and flowers when I need them.
The produced looked excellent ...store was well stocked.
Seems similar to most other local grocery stores Ive been to, some items more expensive - some less. Still dont understand why the liquor sales need to be completely separate.
A tremendous variety for a smaller Kroger. Unfortunately, slightly understaffed so you might have to bag your own groceries...
Worst Kroger experience of my life. I would even go as far as saying worst retail experience of my life period. The deli woman was the rudest person I have met in my life. Her name was Genita. I have never met someone so cynical and just downright mean in my entire life. I will never go back to this location.
My hometown Kroger. I like their variety and prices. They do rearrange the store all the time though, which is a hassle. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.
Most of staff is helpful, but 3.00 to fill one small helium balloon is a little much
Awesome store. Clean and plenty of parking. The Clicklist option is the way to go.
It has a great selection, but you can get most items cheaper elsewhere.
Frequently understocked. Things you need to pick up in a quick trip were relocated to the back of the store recently...major inconvenience. It is clean and friendly helpful staff for the most part.
Very good place to shop employees makes you feel welcome.
Quick and very friendly check out ! Thank you! I visited (shopped) there today. I was impressed at how the store was handling this time of crisis. Thank you for being such a caring facility to.outown!totodaytown!registerswaopenopen a
People are so nice, love click list too!
Always have what I want. Good service
Krogers the place to shop when ur looking for the oddest thgs for a reciept
My best friend that works there went to the hospital yesterday because she had an ashma attack and her manager didn’t care. Angela is awful. Never shopping there ever.
One of my 2 favorite Krogers to...apply gor loyalty card save even more on groceries and can accumulate points to save on future gas purchases
Love to shop at Kroger!! They always have some really good deals!!
Best Kroger store I ever visited or shop at very clean and organized
Tuesday evening at 1740. No hand sanitizer stations stocked. 2 registers open at prime time on more than one occasion and there are 4 to 5 customers in each line. Shopping carts storage empty.
Change groceries around all the time, No matter what time i go not enough checkers. Ar times i pack my own groceries, parking sucks since you put in the car pick up shopping, e
Love the click list option! Great staff.
I was 5th in line but the line moved along pretty fast.
Great staff, great selection, the prices are often when you buy more.
Good selection little hard to navigate but has lots of choices and brands
I love Kroger. Always find what I want and more
They have the best meats, and theyre customer service is the best.
I found everything I needed and always do when I shop there. I give them five stars each time I shop there.
Getting better after all of the changes are done. Still hard to find some stuff.
Love this store! Always well stocked and always neat and clean!
Good service and friendly employees, love the digital coupons, some items prices not marked, dont like that you have to be there for sale items on certain days!
Dana and Jillena took great care of me at the pharmacy
I have been using clicklist for the last few months and loved it until last week. I scheduled my pick up between 4 and 5. We arrived right at 4:02 and called in. The associate told me that they were finishing my order and would be right out. (I had gotten an email at 2:00 saying that my order was complete but apparently that wasnt the case.) I waited and watched all of the other cars get loaded and leave. I called back at 4:29 to see if they had forgotten us and they assured me that they were checking the receipt and bringing my groceries right out. I called the store manager at 4:39 and tried to explain. I was put on hold twice and then finally got to speak to the manager. I explained the situation and she checked on my order and said it was coming out, but when I tried to explain that I had been waiting for 45 minutes she said to tell the co-manager who was coming out with my groceries. I was ticked and felt like the manager didnt really want to listen to my problem. The co-manager came out two minutes later with another associate to deliver my groceries. If my husband had not gotten out to help load them it would have taken even longer. The co-manager said that they were really busy and that she had to jump in over there to help out with Clicklist orders. I literally pointed at an SUV that just pulled up and was getting loaded. She apologized and said they took off my fee for ordering, but really after having waited for over 45 minutes I felt like they should do that for the next few orders I have. The co-manager agreed and said shed make a note of it. Well see if that happens or not. If it does then I will consider updating my one star review. The whole point of using online ordering is for convenience, which is great for a working mother of twins. Its not great when I have to sit in my vehicle with my 5 year olds as they complain that its taking too long to get our stuff. Next time, Id like to leave my boys in their confined office so they can listen to them whine while I get the groceries myself. If you bother with Clicklist at all take a few pointers from me...always specify that you want super fresh bread or they are going to give you the loaves that already feel stale. Double check the sizes of things because some of the pictures can be deceiving and thats burned me a couple of times. I dont care what time you arrive you can expect to wait 15 minutes (but 45 is ridiculous!!). Also check whether or not you are ok with substitutions. Items are frequently out of stock which means you may not get to use that coupon you thought you were using.
If you can find anything its good. They keep moving things around.
Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend
