I have recently started my own Interior design business and have found myself going to JC Licht regularly. I have absolutely enjoyed working with Jackie on several projects. She knows her way around hundreds of the wallpapers binders like its her backyard. She has made my job so much easier and having her by my side as I navigate the industry has been fantastic. In-home consult to pick motorized window treatments for windows on second floor to closely match existing material on first floor was easy and quick. Dawn had plenty of samples and guided me to make a great choice.

Kathy was great at our in home consultation and Andy was our installer and did a fantastic job. Our shades took a long time to get but we were kept informed at all times. I would highly recommend JC Licht in Barrington.

Sad to say but give your money to another business :(Today I went to JC Licht to get some exterior paint for my new home. I brought a sample for color matching. I was met at the counter by a trainee and one of their established team members. I asked for some paint to match the sample. I was first told they were too busy to help me but I could leave the sample, no problem. Then I asked about paint type and costing on quart vs gallon. at this point the trainee was left alone and had no idea how to further help me. In parallel I hear the other team member and a woman who seemed to be their interior designer literally bashing a customer for buying the wrong color paint and not doing their due diligence. WHY ARE YOU SPEAKING ILL OF YOUR CUSTOMERS ON THE RETAIL FLOOR! Finally the the team member comes back to help the trainee. I ask about cost, sheen, paint type. The gentleman treated me like he was having a root canal. I mean this is a paint store, this is basic stuff... In the end I felt disrespected, ignored, and like I was begging to give them my money. I spoke to the employee directly as well as the manager. I worked retail for years. Youre selling service, the commodity is a given. I will never return to this business.

BEWARE! ask for pricing before placing an order - grossly overpriced and no direction from staff for most economical solutions! Sherwin Willians in Fox River Grove far more economical and helpful - will never return

I own and operate a small remodeling/contracting company and have done business with JC Licht/Epco in several locations for many years. I had a recent excellent experience at this particular location and wanted to say a special thanks to Alexis and Phil for making it happen for me!!! Alexis really knows her Benjamin Moore product and thanks again for the excellent suggestion on the bathroom ceiling paint! I will never use anything else :-) Thanks Phil for the consistently cheerful and excellent customer service as well as your fast delivery to my job site the other day! Super nice people selling the best paint money can buy. I highly recommend this store!

Great quality paint, but we kept giving us the wrong finish. A simple paint job turned into a lot of frustration, and costly because they decided what finish we needed instead of listening to the customer.

Usually and because of habit we go to Homedepot/menards for our painting needs. No More!! These guys have earned my loyalty and in reality doesn’t cost anymore than the other guys. Kevin really did a great job matching paint/stain and it saved us time and money. It was a multi step process and he nailed it first try.
