I stopped for fuel and a shower. I have to say the showers here are not bad. The water was hot and the room as fairly large had a sink private toilet and the shower head had a massage feature which is nice after driving a long time. The price wasn’t too bad for the shower and they have everything you could need for convinces. I will definitely be back the next time I am traveling around Barstow.

Nice TA… friendly staff, clean restrooms and very well maintenance shower. And if you would like eat something different, you’re 15 min away from a plenty of restaurants… just crossing the I-15. Oh, also there’s a Outlet near.

The lady at subway was lazy and didnt have onions cut up and even after I expressed how much I like them on my sandwich she still refused to cut up onions. The subway wasnt busy either.. guys at the front counter were awesome and very good at making customers feel welcome. clean warm shower all around would be 5 stars if not for the subway lady

I just wanted to say how thrilled I was to visit your truck stop! Theres absolutely nothing more enjoyable than working a 14 hour day, to then be able to pull into your TA and enjoy a nice hot meal from the Black Bear Diner, or maybe even a freshly prepared sandwich from Subway! Oh, but wait, that didnt happen because everything shuts down at 2200 hours! Its nice to know that your more interested in charging, 10 for a plastic bag, than providing services that actually matter to those of us who make work past 2200 hours! THANKS FOR NOTHING!

The staff at the shop is amazing really great job fixing my a/c on the truck the young lady working the desk was very sweet and very helpful they work so hard none stop and I for one appreciate them being here and working so hard to g things done... THANK YOU

This place is huge! Lots of truck parking and other great conveniences, like washing machines and dryers, a movie room, clean bathrooms and a repair shop.There is a few spots just for camper and rv parking up front but they fill up fast.

Travel center/Truck stop, not as big but has pretty much everything you need. It has parking for big trucks. You get fuel/diesel, snacks, Subway, Black bear restaurant (I recommend), theres a deli at the diesel station, Verizon on site and a barber shop.

Brought in a factory passenger side mirror assembly to have installed. Best I can say is the mounted it. Sure wouldve been nice of them to plug the electronics in. Had it fixed at Petro in Ontario for 1 hour labor charge. Barstow T/A wouldnt warranty because they didnt provide the part, of which, none were available in California at the time. STAY AWAY FROM ANY NEEDED MAINTENANCE HERE.

Stopped here for breakfast around 715am after getting loaded early morning in Oxnard . Was super hungry lol. The crew at the truck side (between diesel) of TA were super friendly. The store was clean and the food was awesome! My pitbull Ellie and I enjoyed chorizo scrambled eggs, bacon, beans and hash browns. Well 11 months ago we had a problem with def alarms on rv. Went to ta barstow and got great, fast service. Well here we r 11 months later and similar problems occurred again. They took us in right away and cleared the alarms. Calvin helped us out once again. Appreciate the fast, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We evidently have an scr recall and will now head to Cummins.

3/5/21, 10:15 local time, 14 bays, 6 trucks in bays (me being one of them). Plenty of mechanics walking around, leaning against tool boxes, drinking sodas, 1 actually working. Dont stop here unless you have PLENTY of time to sit & wait!

I was there twice today (9/22/17) and in the mornin around 0720 they had no coffee. 4 or 5 different kinds and they all were empty. I had to wait for the lady to make some. Then about 1500 i was back and had no issues. Plenty of coffee. I used a shower room (hate public restrooms) on both visits and as usual they were clean. Woulda been 5 stars but I had the coffee issue. Woulda also been 1 star but if there was no coffee again in the afternoon.

The overnight mechanic Matthew was a great mechanic and answered all of my husband’s questions and helped my husband with his truck. Thank you.

I bought a pair of shoes inside this TA store...couple hours later ...I put them on to go use the restroom...the sole came off the shoes...they refused to refund the money on the shoes cause I didnt have the receipt...but they did not have the shoe of the same color in my size...and only had 1 other pair of my size in a different color that I did not want, but had to accept cause they refused to refund me for a pair of shoes that clearly had not been worn other than to fall apart ...TA Barstow California sucks ...then the second pair I got...I walked less than a hundred feet in and that pair broke as well...this is ridiculous 😑 I am so angry...I buy a lot at TA across the country and now I dont want to even spend money with them anymore 😑

If a restaurant are shutdown it creates germs and viruses, for now the area are only being maybe once a week, where if its open it gets cleaned once every hour.Plus truck drivers need decent food to be able to do their job, aint that something to reconsider?

Place is extremely expensive for any type of repairs. They are willing to do any repair you need but you are going to pay for it. Otherwise very nice inside and out, clean, high prices. Otherwise professional.

Staff behind the the counter is very rude and does not care about the the people that are standing at the come they will go among their own conversations and make you wait while youre standing right there theyre not friendly

I called 3 hours before arrival to get in line. I had a coolant leak and wasnt 100% sure where it was coming from. Due to the fact of being in California it took every bit of probably 4 hours to arrive to this TA. Upon arrival they pulled me right into the shop and Andrew was my tech period he was very knowledgeable and as soon as he flipped the hood, he knew exactly where the leak was coming from and pointed it out to me. He worked fast and efficiently and had me out of there in an hour. He was knowledgeable and explain things along the way. the staff and other mechanics that I came in contact with were professional as well. I would recommend this TA and/or stop here again if need be.

No good service center misbehavior with coustmer

Huge lot, which is a plus because theres always parking somewhere. Lot pavement is really rough though, and some of the parking is very tight to attempt backing into. As in, trucks will literally give up, and move on. The employees in the gas station building are slower than a 62 mph truck as well. I literally got tired of waiting, and just left. Restaurant is closed, which leaves your food options really slim because anywhere within walking distance will only allow drive through orders, which means youre screwed. If youre going to have a Restaurant in your truckstop, then they need to be open. Only open restaurant is subway. Yea, thats what I want for 3 days straight, not! The rest of the truckstop is your typical TA, and seems to be ok.

You never have to wait on the shower and theres dining outside. Because of this, I will give TA, Petro my business.

OK. Stopped in to get a bite at the fuel desks deli, and I cant remember the last time I had a Burrito this good. Made fresh, right in front of you, with so many options as to how YOU want it. Really folks give them a try, because the deli lady makes some Awesome food.

Stopped in hoping to eat at the black bear diner, but its currently closed due to the corona virus. So we decided to go in, and grab some snacks to hold us over, until we found another truck stop to eat at. On September 26th around noon, the clerk working at the time, a tall dark to black haired woman was EXTREMELY rude to us. We asked if her register was open, and she rolled her eyes, and asked us what it looked like, and even tried to make us buy a plastic bag to carry out purchases out with. Weve never, in our 30+ years of living, have had to buy a bag to carry out what weve bought from someplace. She even continued to argue with us over asking why we needed to buy a bag. We had just never experienced it, and was wondering why they were charging for bags. We also felt as if she were mocking us. Were truck drivers from Kentucky, so yes, we have an accent, and she made us very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. We will never stop at this TA again.

So far not very happy with them had a flat and was close to there shop so I pulled in thinking it would save time apparently that was a mistake! They put all roadside stuff in front of you if youre at there shop. I was told it would be 1 hr. Weight time its now going on 2.

Good amount of parking, clean facilities, and have yet to see fuel pumps backed up with other truck stops nearby. No 24 food option but can get good burritos from fuel island store. The shop is busy so expect a wait.

We needed a cab air bag replaced. The guy pulled us in looked at it for a few seconds and said that the bracket its sitting on is bent so if he replaces the air bag, it is likely to get damaged again. He suggested to get that part fixed first which is not something they could do advising us to go to dealer. We decided to do that but before leaving they charged us for pulling us into the bay. We got charged $72 for literally zero work - just to be told that they cannot fix it for us without warning us ahead of time that they have this fee. I have had full DOT truck and trailer inspections done for less than that. Most dishonest service experience I have ever had.

We made the mistake, again, to schedule a PM and Brakes at the barstow TA. We arrived at 830am told there was a four hour wait, it is now 6pm they just finnished the PM and informed us they cant do the brakes until tomorrow???????? All day again???? Dont send me any more emails about any service TA offers. This is the third time here with the same lack of service. We will make other arrangements from now on. Really really really bad service

First time being there, store was clean friendly staff, and bathrooms clean. We had dinner at The Black Bear Diner. Great service and the food was delicious. The amount of food for the price was excellent.

Great customer service and they have everything you need in one stop. All travelers welcome! They have the black bear diner which has great food, subway, gas station and travel store as well as verizon, hair salon, truck stop with great workers and managers always there to help, and fuel island for truck drivers that also has a deli that is a hidden gem.

Hubby and I stopped in for a shower on our way to Woodland Hills. Shower staff was very nice and gave me an extra towel with a smile! Shower pressure was awesome which is always nice!

The ladies here have the best burritos. I made sure that I got 2 cups of hot sauce for my breakfast burrito and the hot sauce put it over the top. Thanks ladies

Lady that works at the fuel island, got real hateful over a mask. Ive spoke to the Manager about this problem. Evidently, for her, this is not an isolated incident.

Easy parking. Does cost $20, but if you spend that much in the store, parking is free. Staff is usually friendly and the store is clean.

Everyone else in the country is thankful for truck drivers.This place, which gets most of its income from truck drivers decided...screw them!Shut down the restaurant including carryout. You can get subway. Or for something different, go to the fuel Island...where they sell subs.

This has always been a reliable stop for us during our family trips to Las Vegas. Their fuel prices are competitive and the store has anything one would need while on the road. Its also easier to get in and out than the Pilot across the street.

I have stopped at this TA a few times. It is usually clean and most of the employees are friendly. The restaurant is excellent. If you dont stop for any other reason, other than to eat, it is worth it.

Shop has a tone i would totally dig if it was everywhere else also. You woul be ever so lucky if Angela is available, sees the job through, upfront honest, tone set for service, staff gladfully follows suit!

I dont like the fact that if your battery dies they charge you for a jump but if you go to pilot or loves they will give you a jump for free TA and Petro will be the last place I will ever go to they will take every dollar you have

Wonderful customer service. We were on the road when alarm code low def came in and check engine. We called and they fit us right in for diagnostic check. No waiting and Calvin was knowledgeable about this problem. We were soon on the way out

Have stayed here many times. Black bear diner is always a good meal and fill you up portions. Wife loves them. Not to mention they have a lot of parking and friendly staff. Highly recommend this T.A.

Upon enter the little store by the fuel island I was a bit surprised. Instead of having womens and mens restrooms; they only had gender neutral restrooms. When I entered the bathroom the toilet seat was left up. Apparently the male whom had used this bathroom before me was equipped with a small bat and needed to step up to the plate ....judging by the amount of urine on the floor. Needless to say not a very clean bathroom.

Dont really go here but the stuff I wanted was easy 2 find. While looking I did have a worker ask me if I was finding everything ok. Also the cashier was super friendly & sweet.

Spent over 15 hours in the shop for a simple repair

WOW You name it, they have it.Clean, organized store, several staff to help. Of course plenty of gas pumps and parking.Clean restrooms as well, they even have a wheelchair lift to help people get down the split level area where the bathrooms are.Food, clothing, electronics, entertainment, tourist items, toys, auto supplies and more!

As truck stops go, this is a good one for cars. Good store, black Bear diner, relatively cheap gas, trucker stuff and decent restrooms. Load up, move on!

Easy access from the freeways. This place is usually packed (truck parking) by 6pm. The mens restroom is usually a little bit on the dirtier side whenever Ive stopped by here.

Pretty decent place. Big. Lots of parking in back. Late it does get close to full. Covid has closed the bear dinner. Subway is open. Ehh. Plenty of parking in the area at other truck stops and in the desert by the outlets.

Excellent truck parking, wide lanes, friendly staff. I agree with a previous reviewer, and definitely reccomend a Big Rig Burrito from the fuel island deli. A large burrito is HUGE... if you have the appetite for it, it will fill you to the gills. Beef, chicken or pork, rice, beans, toppings, assembled right in front of you. Will definitely stop in here again, next time Im through Barstow!

I give 5 stars because of the friendliness. I went to get a shower and the male employee greeted me as I punched the numbers into the key pad and greeted me on my way out. And the lady at the register had a smile on her face.

Wonderful pit stop for traveling families. The bathrooms are clean and they have more than enough stalls for all the traffic that has to go... great place!!!

Love this facility. Has a Subway and Black Bear Restaurant. Gas station has immaculately cleaned restrooms and multiple stalls. NOT typical filth & grunge you find in Barstow gas stations. .

I stop at this Travel America every time I drive to southern California, dozens of times by now. It has a good selection of snacks, plus a Subway, and large bathrooms. The gas prices are competitive. Easy exit and entrance to the freeway.

TRUCKERS: This is a good TA. You should be able to grab parking if you get here before 6pm. Past 6 you can still get a spot because people leave to LA at all hours of the day, but youll have to hunt for it.

Quick windshield cleaning, bathroom break. I didnt have time to review facility, but my boyfriend said we had stopped there before. It was probably a quick stop back then as well. And I was most likely half asleep when I went in and didnt have my glasses on. 😵😵😁

Prepare to meet all walks of life and hold your stuff close to you ....other than that good customer services, clean bathrooms, little ruff in waiting area. Accommodating to those with children, seniors, special needs when boarding the bus

Thumbs up for this TA! The Black Bear dinner will keep you coming back. The food is delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. You walk in the door and the welcome immediately has you feeling glad you are there. The taco salad is wonderful. This is a unique place to go with the truck stops we have today. This place shines and stands above the rest. I only wish there were many more like it out there on the road.

A nice place wide parking spots. Pretty clean and friendly. Restaurant is way over priced. But have subway. Shops awesome
