Gulf States was top notch from the first phone call to the finished repair. I called and explained the issue (replacing a garage door motor). They gave me an estimate over the phone, showed up the very next day on time. Completed the repair, checked out the rest of the operating system and charged me exactly the estimate they quoted. Their work was outstanding and much less expensive than two other quotes I had received. So Pleased.

I called Gulf States to get one last estimate and they were very reasonable, got the carport build out done next day, and had the garage door up and running very quickly. Great company!! Rusty came out and took care of my moms new remote controls and her car (which no one else could do the car). Checked out her system and said it was old but still good. Didnt try to sell her something she didnt need. THEN Rusty called me and explained everything to me including that mom`s house seemed warm. He turned the A/C down and told me to keep my eye on it. My garage door spring broke just after lunch. After a bit of online research, I called Gulf States at 1:35 pm because of their positive reviews. John was very knoweldgeable and helpful. He said he could have a tech come out this afternoon and Rusty arrived within the hour. Rusty was very pleasant and professional. He replaced the spring and made some needed adjustments to the door. He had my garage door working like new by 3:00 pm. I think John and Rusty at Gulf States actually enjoy helping people. They really are a pleasure to work with.

One of the springs on our garage door broke.Called at 9 a.m. and our door was repaired like new by 11 a.m. that same day. Rusty was very professional and obviously knew exactly what he was doing. He told me he has over 15 years of experience and it showed. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work and he certainly does. He was very thorough and he even tightened the motor chain (it had been rattling since we bought the house).

Called because I was the classic “I’ll do it myself” and it didn’t work out too well. Lol. Called and got immediate response. Came out very next morning and knocked it out. My garage door broke about a month ago. Unfortunately I was never home from work to take care of having it repaired. I was off for the holiday break and decided to try and have it repaired. I originally called another local company in the area but they would not be able to come out for a couple of weeks. So I went on Home Advisor and looked up Gulf States Overhead Door. I called Home Advisor and they connected me with John from Gulf States. He was extremely nice and had me try and describe what was going on. He asked me a variety of questions to try and troubleshoot the issue on the phone. After describing the issue, he knew what the issue was at a 99.999% confidence level! He was able to send a repair man out THE NEXT DAY, which fit in perfect with my time off from work. We set a time for the appointment. The repair man, Rusty, called me about 30 minutes from the appointment time to confirm which was great. Unfortunately Rustys trucks tire went flat on the way out to my home. BUT...Rusty called me every 20 minutes to give me an update on his tire being fixed and let me know he is still coming to fix the door. Once he arrived, he explained everything to my husband and me, had the part on his trailer thanks to John, and had the door fixed in about 25 minutes. He lubricated the door to get all the squeaks out and made sure it was working properly. He cleaned up the parts and tools he used and loaded the broken piece into his trailer. He was very courteous and great at his job! I would recommend that anyone that needs their garage door installed, repaired, or maintained call Gulf States Overhead Door!

I called Gulf States Overhead Door second this morning after googling for garage door repair online and trying the first on the list who were unavailable until after the weekend. Rusty came to repair a broken drive belt. He quickly and professionally changed the belt and the belt rail in about 30 minutes. While testing the repair he heard another noise and quickly diagnoised and repaired that problem as well. Rusty and Gulf States Overhead Door have provided me with excellent service at a fair price. I can not say enough good things about this company, Gulf State Overhead Doors. First of all they took me on very short notice. Extremely accommodating. And on top of that it was almost 1/2 the cost of the others in the area. The service tech who came and he worked tirelessly to ensure that I didnt unnecessarily spend money. You know how sometimes you feel the person doing the work padding the bill. Not the case here. I have never written such a good review for a company.
