I have had nothing but trouble with Ford and Kinsel Ford since my transmission went out in my 2017 Ford Escape. I had no idea until mine went out leaving us stranded and almost run over on the interstate that Ford has a reputation of Escape transmissions being trash. I read several sites and it seems Ford knows and makes NO attempt to correct the faulty transmissions. They keep selling them and it has been going on for years. At first Kinsel Ford was helpful in helping me resolve it but now, after months of them having it and my new transmission being on back order I have my Escape back. Guess what! I am having issues with it again. I was told repeatedly that this would be a new transmission and now when I email and tell them I am having issues again I am told it was a remanufactured one. NO WONDER IT IS ACTING UP AGAIN! This is ridiculous and I will never buy another Ford again after being a lifelong Mustang fan and buyer. I get attitude from Kinsel and attitude from Ford Company, too. DO NOT BUY A FORD ESCAPE or you will regret it eventually. TRUST ME! Customer satisfaction is not their first priority in my experience. I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY. P.S. My transmission went out 5 out of 6 gears, including reverse at 64,000 miles! WHAT CAR DOES THAT!!!! The car is driven a total of 14 miles per day to and from work. RIDICULOUS!

Yes I waited for what seemed like toooo!!! long but I understand after seeing from others waiting on there Brand New Ride too that I had to be patient and I was for 4 1/2 months but Lowe and behold sooooo worth the wait!!!!! My very first Brand New Vehicle is every thing Id thought would be with so much to explore with my Ford Explore and loving every inch of it.

I recommend Kinsel Ford BUT........When one purchases a 2020 pickup truck, one would expect more than 1 (one) KEY. With the prices of these trucks, I dont think wanting 2 keys is asking for a lot. We were even told the person that was driving the truck was Mr. Kinsel himself. So where is the other key fob, and the toolbox....well...we did not have a key for that either. As of August 23, 2021 we still have not heard anything about a remote or key. Yet we continue to receive emails that want us to rate them.

My vehicle is brand new 2021 purchase from one of the big dealerships in Houston, had been for my regular service ei.(oils changes etc.), well my seats on both driver and passenger frame cracked and my reverse camera was also malfunctioning, so the serviceman state thats since I dont live in the city I could take to my local dealership. Therefore, I made the appointment to bring my car in. I do understand that is is COVID and a lot of business are taking the steps to protect their customer and employees. Number one there is a shortest on rental vehicles, so they couldnt get me a loaner car, the parts for my vehicle had to be ordered and they didnt have a time of when they would be in, but your dealership would be the first to get the parts per my services rep. My only problem, is that we had to keep calling to checking on the progress of our vehicle, which it took a month in a half before we go our vehicle and upon receiving being that is sat for this time, upon getting my vehicle, it was dirty from seating for the month, where Ive purchase my vehicles from they will take care of their customer because it reflect them. I just felt that I am just another number not a value client, Ill problem travel back to where I purchase because it was a frustrating ordeal not knowing the status of our vehicle and having to call every other week or two and not getting a status of the condition of our vehicle. Fluid in my wipe were out therefore there wasnt a point check on my vehicle.

Couldnt be happier with my experience. I ended up getting stranded in Texas because of the winter storm. Jensen and everyone came to the dealer even though no one was there so I could look at and purchase my truck. They did everything possible for me to be able to get the truck so I could drive back to north dakota. During paperwork the power went back out but they still managed to make everything happen. We plan on coming back to buy an f150 from them shortly. Highly recommend this dealership best buying experience Ive ever had by far

I had a great experience at Kinsel regarding service on some warranty work. I purchased a fairly new low mileage truck in Missouri but brought it to Kinsel after several people recommended them. This was the first time I have EVER been to a dealership for service so I was somewhat apprehensive. Ashley Singleton took care of me and put me at ease and it was overall a great experience! Had some truck problems going down interstate 10, had to pull off in Beaumont. Got to Kinsel ford and dealt with Theresa the service manager. She and the whole crew at Kinsel were awesome. Would recommend the service department if you needed it. They got our fuel pump issue worked out in a timely manner.

What horrible customer service!!kept my car for 3 weeks with no phone updates. I actually had to go in person to see about my car. They havent even got to it yet. Lousy job fixing it...broke down 2 weeks later. I called them and told them about when can I bring it in and about the warranty...lady put me on hold then sent me to an answering machine..still waiting. My people have bought 6 brand new Ford trucks in the span of 15 years, you would think the service would be better

WORST SERVICE EVER. Got a letter for a recall for our truck. went by made an appointment on a Mon. they said bring the car Thursday to order the part. took it Thursday the man never called me back to tell me the car wasnt even ready. I kept calling and nothing. Went on sat. a very rude lady said the man wasnt there that day. on Monday went back they hadnt even touched the car. He said I will calk you to bring it back. TWO WEEKS and STILL WAITING. ( I do have to say the lady in the first Booth with white hair was very nice). If it wasnt for her this place wouldnt even deserve one star.

I took my vehicle in for a service quote. I was expecting a reasonable and accurate report of needed repairs and cost. I was greatly disappointed and angry after receiving their diagnostic report and estimated cost. The cost were significantly higher than expected and included repairs that I KNOW are NOT needed because the parts on the vehicle are BRAND NEW. When I asked why it listed on the needed repairs, she asked who replaced them. Who is not relevant. What is relevant is that there is nothing wrong with them and they do not need to be replaced. If they are willing to lie about one thing, I am not trusting them to be honest about anything else. I paid the $201.99 required diagnostic fee for their BS report and will not be back.

Using the service department for the first time, you can never talk to anyone, always being sent to voicemail with no return call. I was told part for my car would be in Friday, no part and no call, I even called to confirm so I could make sure I had the proper transportation for work.......... nothing and now it’s Saturday going on Sunday. I did better with a shade tree mechanic SMH.

I called Ford Service Department. I told them I have a 2015 F350 4x4 with the death wobble. I asked, did ford come up with a fix for that? They said, Yes we will have to rebuild your whole front end. I said OK, but you know that problem was from the factory. How much are you going to pay, on the bill. Ford said Nothing. My thoughts I am not going to pay you for an existing problem from the factory. You have engineers and testing methods, but refuse to take responsibility for your actions and your product. By passing this condition and your responsibilities to the consumer. I had to pay another automotive shop to fix this problem, this is NOT fair.

The reason why I gave this 3 stars is for a couple of reasons. 1st the car was not ready when I got there. I traveled 6 hrs with 2 kids to get there and it wasn’t ready. I didn’t feel special when I bought it. I was made to feel like just another customer. 2nd is 3 days after I got the expidetion the rear ac went out, and the passenger window motor was broken. He pulled out the old stuff and replaced the broken parts. This was only 3 days after I bought the vehicle! I believe the dealership knew about these problem but didn’t want to fix them and sold a defective item on purpose. This is not the way you treat customers. I will not buy another vehicle from them because they didn’t treat me right from the start.They have yet to reach out and ask me how my experience was either.

Went to Kinsel with a check engine light on to get repaired. I already knew that it was a coolant sensor. When I called they said it would be the following week. I told them it was a coolant issue and temps were running in the nineties. She said she would check with the supervisor and call me back. No call back so I went there the next day. The girl asked if I had an appointment. I said no but the check engine light was on and it was a coolant issue. She said I don’t know if we can get to it today. About that time another lady walked across the breezeway and the girl I was talking to asked her when the could look it. The lady said if it’s a diesel it would be the end of August. The girl looked at me and said is that ok. I closed the door and drove off. I will do all in my power not to return there

We have had the Navigator in our possession a week. It has been in the service department for a week waiting on right parts to come in for repairs. We heard a whistle noise coming from rear end or differential gear train. Before we purchased it and had salesperson and mechanic ride with us they heard the same sound.We like the ride all the amenities that come with this luxury vehicle.We hope that we made an upgrade from our 2017 Expedition King Ranch, haven’t had the chance to drive the 2020 Navigator much.We purchased the Navigator on 1-7-21 and in the service department on 1-17-21 still there 1-24-21.ThanksRobert Sexton

THIS IS REFERING TO KINSEL COLLISIONIve never been one to take the time out of my day to write a review on anything but if I can save one person from having to go through what Im going through then this will be more than worth it. On 2-27-21 I had someone rear end my brand new truck, it was not terrible and still able to drive but needed the bumper, tail light, side panel and a dent in the tailgate fixed. The insurance of the person who rear ended me referred me to Vins paint and body or Glens, Vins told me they wouldnt have a spot until 3-22 and before I reached out to Glens I decided I would try Kinsel... My wife and I have bought our last 4 vehicles from Kinsel and who better than the dealership to make these body repairs. Upon calling the collision center John answered and told me we are ready for you today, bring it in we will start breaking it down and get it going so I get a rental from the insurance company and I drop my truck off on 3-3-21. The first two weeks I dont hear anything from anyone at the collision center, so I call (just a note..you can call this place 5 times in a matter of 3 hours and NO ONE WILL ANSWER, they are horrible at even picking up the phone) and they inform me that they have ordered parts, this excuse goes on for another TWO WEEKS. Around the 4 week mark I start calling a bit more irritated at this point (especially because you cant even get them to answer the phone, and Im getting close to losing my rental I will note that they did end up paying for my rental which is nice but its a tiny nissan rogue and Im a 62 275lb man who bought a Toyota Tundra for a reason, also my company pays me to be in a truck and pays for my gas WHILE Im in it), Im told on Thursday 4-1-21 that my truck will go into paint on Friday 4-2-21. Following Monday 4-5-21 I call (at least 6 times before anyone answers) to make sure we are on track and John tells me that my truck hasnt been painted and will go into paint on 4-6-21 he also lets me know he will be out of the office on 4-8 & 4-9 for personal matters... so I call (at least 5-6 times before they answer) on 4-7-21 to just verify that my truck in fact made it to paint, I was informed again by John that my truck DID NOT make it to paint AGAIN. At this point I asked John that he have someone reach out to me Friday (4-9-21) and give me an update since he will be out those days. Friday 4-9-21 I get a call from Nicky, she tells me that my truck is JUST NOW in paint and should be all finished early following week... 4-12-21 No call from anyone.. 4-13-21 I get tired of waiting so I call from 8:30am - 11:30am with NO ANSWER, finally I start calling the Ford dealership asking for help to get ahold of someone that runs that place, at this point they get John on the phone and John tells me my truck is STILL IN PAINT!!! and once it finishes of course it will need to be put back together and run test on everything, at this point I feel like my truck is being held hostage, its not like i can just go pick it up now, Im stuck with them and theres nothing I can do but hope they eventually finish my truck.. Also as of the time of this review I dont even have my truck so no telling what the quality will even look like, I will be updating this once I get my truck.

Called service department on my 99 f250 got told the truck was too old for them to work on it was inner axle seals that needed to be replaced had the work done originally at a Ford dealer was within the two year mark so it was under warranty I thought a Ford dealer worked on Ford products .. especially if the work was done and not done right but I guess not called Philpott Ford they got me right in said the reason was probably because it was warranty work and doesnt pay as well as if you come in with your checkbook open and need work done ive used kinsel a lot over the years but will not bring my 18 f250 or my 99 f250 in any more for any kind of service

Routine oil change and inspection of 2014 Escape found rear brakes needed serious attention. Service attendant Ashley was extra nice informing me of the added work needed and recommended new tires to cure harsh road noise and tire ware. I just bought a Mustang right off the show room floor! The salespeople where great! Jensen and Johnny did an awesome job at getting me the deal I wanted. The process was fast and easy. No games just straight up good people to work with. It was the best buying experience Ive ever had, and I have bought many cars. Had a problem with adding DEF to my 2015 Ford Super Duty. Instrument display stated Less than 50% level. Tried to add DEF but liquid was at top of filler hose. Expressed my concern to my service rep due to going on a 1600 mile total trip. Ticket was written up and misstated issue, replaced the Particulate Matter Sensor. Picked up vehicle and DEF fluid still up at top of DEF fill line. Did not take truck on trip due to potential of going into limp mode when running out of DEF. Returned vehicle to dealership, restated issue and suggested a blockage in DEF liquid line. Service personnel replaced the DEF line due to a blockage and is no longer an issue. No charge for the return visit. Sure wanted to take my truck with the 8ft. bed on the camping trip to Big Bend instead of my wifes GS350 Lexus(smaller trunk) but it was not written in the stars!

I brought my truck in for a severe leak in my third brake light. It happens and luckily was still covered under the factory warranty. lots of water got into the cab of my truck and I could even hear the water sloshing in the cab of my truck when I was braking. I was advised that the part was not in stock and that it would have to be ordered. I completely understand and was asked to keep my truck there over the weekend so they could clean my carpets in my truck since they were moldy from water intake. After a week my truck was finished and ready to be picked up. I retrieve my truck and was told that I was unable to get my paperwork because the warranty lady was off that day and that it would have to be mailed to me. Upon closer inspection of my truck it was apparent that the service department did not do what they told me they were going to do. I was told by them that part of the delay was due to cleaning the carpets in my truck. This was very obviously not done. The truck had a very strong stench of mildew. The carpet still had dirt, crumbs (i have kids) and even white moldy film on the top of the carpet. The carpet is stained where the water sat in the carpet and was obviously not cleaned. I then laid the back seat on my truck down to see where the backs of the seats were rusted, stained and ruined. They were obviously not even checked. I have a serious problem being lied to by your service department. I paid way too much money for my truck to be okay with ruined materials that were covered by the factory warranty. Now I have to pay out of my own pocket to replace the materials that are ruined in my truck because I was lied to about the work that was done to my truck. I finally got the work order in the mail, which also lied about the work done to my truck. I even filed a formal complaint and still they refused to reach back out to me and speak upon the matter. Do not trust Kinsel Ford, they will not do the work promised, They will lie to you and not respond to you when you complain formally. Go to Philpott Ford instead.

The good news is that they finally replaced by custom battery (this is a C-Max) and my two years of battling random shutdowns are ended. The bad news is that I pointed to the battery two years ago and many visits ago, and they said there was no problem with it. Next time your battery is a problem, demand that it be replaced no matter how hard this is to do.

I had an air conditioning problem with my 2019 Lincoln Nautilus and set up my appointment online. When I arrived the service counselor promptly discussed the problem with me and shortly after they checked it out. A part had to be ordered and when it arrived I was notified and a new appointment was made and the part installed. I was pleasantly surprised at the great service I received. My car was washed both times it was there. I would highly recommend this dealership. As a side note this was not the selling dealer but I will now make sure they will be on my short list for my next purchase.

For many years I have been hauling my power chair ( scooter ) on a power lift that plugs into a receiver hitch of my car. Always had to make sure it was covered from the weather. I decided it was time to look for something I could hall it inside. That is when I stopped by Kinsel dealership just looking. Sorry to say I could not look at a new vehicle. The cost was more than I wanted to spend. After telling the sales person what I wanted to do about my schooter, he showed me a 2018 Dodge caravan. When I found out that all the rear seats would fold down onto the floor, that is what I needed. Some other vans I looked at in order to get a full flat floor, the seats had to be removed. And you had to find a place to store them. So the sales group at Kinsel worked with me, I bought the van and very pleased with the outcome.Jerry McDaniel

Bought a truck and a warranty in August that has had some kind of mechanical issue since the first weekend I brought it home. In two months it’s been in the shop three times. None of the work is covered under warranty and they don’t tell me that until after they have done the work and have been forced to pay a $500 bill on two occasions in the last month. Management claims they will make it right but so far haven’t done anything. Won’t ever buy another vehicle there. They don’t stand behind what they sell you.

A SUPERIOR car purchasing experience. I traveled 150 miles because of the advertised low price. I was thrilled (and somewhat shocked) when the dealership honored their low price - no add-ons, no nonsense, no tricks. Just simple, honest and transparent dealings. Went in just for a regular oil change. It took them 2 and half hours just to complete the job, which I got there around 7:17. When I went to pay, the price exorbitantly more than I had paid at any dealership across the country. Normally, it ranges from $35 to $45, give or take. This one cost me $70. Asked her why it cost that much and she said to me, because of the extra oil. That, to me, does not make sense. On top of that, there was oil left by the tech who changed my oil. My overall experience was poor. There was no communication between the dealer and Ford Customer Service. The Kinsel service rep gave multiple false statements. The Ford Customer Service rep did as well. I was charged for a recall and my truck was not released until I paid. My payment was returned after it was found I did not authorize service and I was not given an estimate for the charges. The charges were over $300 for reprogramming my computer. I was charged $28.00 for use of a hazmat suit. Ultimately, they did not repair my truck as it is having the same issue. The only good came from Stephanie the service manager who gave back my money. I sincerely hope I do not have to do business with Kinsel in the future.

My brand new Ranger was trapped at the start of the pandemic in TX while I was in NC. Four months later, I finally get back. The truck is sitting in my hangar at the airport just as I left her. Covered with dust, she started right up! Tire pressures fine.Ford recommended an oil change if the truck had been sitting for over 30 days, so I contacted Kinsel Ford and they got me right in, did the multipoint, checked her out and I am on the road like I never left. I would say Oh what a feeling! but thats a different brand--one that I passed up BTW to buy my Ranger.Anyway, service folks at Kinsel ford just friendly and professional, will be holding the Ford dealership in NC to a high standard!

Literally paid for someone else’s oil change because the lady didn’t look at the paper when she checked me out. No one called me to inform me of the mistake, rather I received a transactional paper in the mail showing the error and on a sticky note there was mention of a “credit” for overpaying when I paid for the other customers oil change rather than my own. Time before that, they changed my sensor (car is under warranty) and I was given a car back with a WHITE sensor ~ my car is dark grey.... needless to say they have ZERO quality control. Each time they have messed up I reported the issue to management but yet the errors continue. They do not improve and after round three of poor quality work/service I have chosen to not give them another chance. I understand mistakes BUT if a customer is making you aware of the mistakes and the business is not improving it shows they do not truly care about quality or customers’ in my opinion!

From the 1st contact on the phone to the last “hope you have a great day, stay safe and enjoy your truck”, it took about 3 hours. We looked, talked, test drove, asked questions of our salesman, Toby Thibodeaux, met the sales manager Jeromy Simmons, completed the paperwork with Steve Wagner and was on the road before noon. Later I received a text from Craig Kinsel, the owner of Kinsel Ford and an emailing asking about my experience with Kinsel. I remembering buying a vehicle from them when they were located on 11th Street back in the day and it seems nothing has changed….. Never pushy or rushed, just simple negotiating until the deal is made. Great experience back then and once again now.During my search and quest for the perfect vehicle for me, I have dealt with many sales people in our Golden Triangle area of South East Texas and found most to be not only knowledgeable but professional and friendly like the neighbors they are. Worst service department I have dealt with in a long time . I took my truck there to have the windshield washer tank replaced. They had to order one from Houston and it would be in that afternoon.I was scheduled for the following day at 8:00 am.for installation. Went in the following day at 8:00, After waiting about an hour and 45 minutes, I went to inquire on the progress. The tank was never ordered . I went to the parts dept. and ordered one. It did come in the next day. I picked it up and took it to Christian Brothers Automotive and had them install it. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
