I dropped my lawnmower off to have a few minor things repaired. The pulley need a new guild ring and start bar needed a new cable. They called after 2 1/2 weeks. Told me my mower need a new blade and part for the self propeller to work. I said I have a new blade. The self propeller part I did not need because I live on flat ground. He had a sale pitch that I needed a new mower because of how expensive these repairs would be. I said no thank you to the sales pitch and asked if they could still fix my cable and pulley . He said yes hell get back to me. 2 weeks past by and I called and I was told repairman has been out for a few weeks. I wasnt very pleased so I went to pick up my mower on that Wednesday and the sign said closed till Monday. Called back on Monday and was told part would be in Friday. I came at 2pm to pickup my mower that Friday. All the part that I didnt need serviced were laying on my mower disassembled or in bags. My blade was handed to me. Now after 1 mow with the now ruggedly looking mower, it wont start. I loved my mower and wanted to make it last. I hope it allows pictures so you can see the condition I recieved the mower in.
Great customer service.. definitely will go back.
Great mowers. Great service. The place is clean the front door locked to make sure everyone wears a mask. They even do warranty service for cub cadets. Or just general lawn mower service even if it is out of warranty .
Bran and Kate Jones are really good at taking care of their customers, if its a new purchase, repair or U haul rental.
I travel over 60 miles and pass several other Cub dealers to come to Jones Boys. Great people who take care of your mower and they answer any questions you may have.
I went in to get some advice on what to do with a garden tractor that I havent operated in three years. Husband and wife own the store. They were very happy to answer my questions.
I moved into a place with a huge yard and of course I need a lawn tractor. well 1.9 mi.down the road my wife Cindy informed me of what looked to be a family-owned lawn care equipment and Landscaping business. Well it turned out to be true. These are wonderful people that will only sell you what you want. They wont push stuff at you that isnt wanted prices are competitive and theyre willing to work with you. They do service after the sale and they do it in such a way that they probably are keeping their customers. Ask for Kate she was very helpful in finding the right lawn tractor and when it needed service today it was picked up at 9am and returned at 2:15pm in the afternoon fixed and the price was well. Under what I expected. I am very impressed with my experience and purchase here and I will purchase other things here as needed. Its businesses like this are making America great.
If it was possible for me to give even more stars then 5, I would. These folks are knowledgeable, friendly and reasonable. Its refreshing to be at a place that truly believes in customer service from begining to end! I cant recommend them enough!!!
I used to go here for years. Bought a brand new club cadet here bout 5 yrs ago. After they serviced it one time it started to backfire everytime you shut off engine .I told them about it, they said I needed piston rebuilt at over 100 dollars .I declined, serviced myself this spring, fixed the problem. Answer, loose spark plug.cost $0. Ill never go back. They are nice people, but should have corrected the simple problem if they truly serviced the lawn mower
Getting service done to the mower.
What wonderful and knowledgeable service people.....
I have come here to rent trailers or a U-Haul to move a few times. They are always courteous and quick to help. I definitely recommend them!
I recently purchased a Cub Cadet Garden Tractor from Jones Boys Inc. They had a wonderful selection. They gave me great advice. Their price was good. They delivered the next day, and I am looking forward to the first mow of the year! Thanks, Jones Boys!
Quick easy drop off of my mower. Very courteous.
Great place. Fantastic service at a fair price.
Quality work. Nice staff
Great place, Brad and Kate Jones are wonderful owners and take care of you.
Always have good service and great work that they have been doing for me for over 15 years.
Went in last Saturday having a decent idea about what I wanted, but still having a lot of questions. Neil took all the time in the world with me. Never once did I feel rushed, pressured, or like I was trying to be up-sold into something I didnt need.Upon delivery of my new tractor, Neil again took the time to carefully go over everything I might need to know about the mower with me. He even walked my lawn with me to check for any areas that I might want to be careful or take my time around. The 30-minute drive to come and visit The Jones Boys was well-worth it. Not only did I receive the personal attention of a local, family business that really cares about the customer and their experience, but also the knowledge of people who have been specializing in this for a very long time. This is the kind of sales experience you always hope for, but rarely get. This is why you go to an Independent Dealer, and more specifically why you go to The Jones Boys, if youre anywhere at all within a reasonable driving distance of them.Thank you Neil and The Jones Boys!!
Very clean shop and the people that work there are very friendly and very helpful.
Lawn mower sales. Very very helpful staff. Seems to be a no bull shop for repairs also.
CROOKS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WE THESE PEOPLE. If I could give them negative stars I would. I usually dont take the time to leave reviews because like most people, I am very busy with work and family. But, if by leaving this review prevents these people from ripping off someone else, than its worth it and hopefully gets these people to change the way they do business in the future. So, my situation was that my riding lawn mower engine blew up when I was mowing my lawn. Come to find out later that the piston assembly came apart inside the engine and blew out the side of the block. Its a known issue on the small Briggs & Stratton engines (according to the guys at Woodcrest Small Engine & Saw). However, back to The Jones Boys Inc. After my lawn mower engine blew up, I immediately began calling around to local small engine/lawn mower repair shops in my area. This was on a Saturday morning around 11 a.m. I called around to about 5 different small engine/lawn mower repair shops and ultimately choose The Jones Boys Inc. because I felt that the lady I spoke with (Kate) empathized with my situation, so I decided to give her my business. My lawn mower was willed to me after my father passed away. So I was prepared to do whatever it took to repair it, as it holds a tremendous amount of sentimental value to me. And, not to mention it is a very nice lawn mower that retails for $2500 brand new. I made the mistake of telling Kate this and she told me how she understood just how important my lawn mower is to me because she has a saw from her father who had also passed away and that it had sentimental value to her. Kate assured me that she would take good care of me.Over the phone I had agreed to the $75 pickup/delivery fee and the $75 diagnostics fee (of which would be rolled into the overall repair costs if I choose to have the mower repaired by them). At the time I felt that $75 pickup and diagnosis fees were kind of high but went along with it even though my gut was telling me otherwise. She told me that they would take a look and call me with a total and if it were less than $200 they would go ahead and perform the repairs, but if the repairs were more than $200 she would call me to let me decide if I wanted them to proceed with the repairs.Kate called me the next day to inform me that the repairs would be around $1400 to replace the engine on my mower! Of which $185 was labor!!! I told her that we just couldn’t afford to spend $1400 on the mower right now and she had the audacity to ask me if I wanted them to scrap my lawn mower!!! After I told her NO she then tried to sell me on their “lay-away” option. I also declined that option and then she charged me for the pickup/delivery fee of $75.After getting off of the phone with Kate I did a quick Google search for the model number on my mower engine and found a like engine for around $550. I then called the manufacturer of my mower and was directed to call Briggs & Stratton who directed me to call their consumer sales folks where I spoke to a nice lady by the name of Terry. Terry had the replacement engine in stock for $606 and could ship it to me in 2-3 business days. Terry also gave me the number of a local authorized service and repair center near me - Woodcrest Small Engine & Saw in Highland, IL. I called Woodcrest Small Engine & Saw and spoke to Shawn who was extremely helpful. Shawn was able to get the engine ordered and shipped to his shop and he picked up my mower on his day off for $35 and had my mower back to me completely repaired for $803.66 the very next day! Shawn and all of the staff out at Woodcrest Small Engine & Saw in Highland, IL were extremely helpful and have a life-long customer. There are a few other reviews out there on Google for The Jones Boys that I really wished I would have read before deciding to do business with them. The Jones Boys Inc. is simply a bad place to do business. The will try to rip you off. BEWARE!!!!
Top quality locally owned mowers and lawn equipment.
Bad place to do business! Extremely rude!
Friendly and professional!
The workers are very friendly and dont try to pressure you into buying their products, also they have the part you need 99% of the time
Took mower into jones brothers.they would not help me at all on warranty work on product they sold me.ordered minor part still waiting after 6 weeks.13 years customer lost forever.
The guys are not professional. We brought a 500 brand new (not even used a season) lawn mower in for repair, they said it couldnt be repaired BUT TRIED TO SELL SELL US ONE OF THEIRS! 😒
