Great service and went out of their way to get my engine in and out fast! Will be using them for all my boating needs!
I wont be a repeat customer. Poor workmanship. Paying someone else to re-do some of it.
Dave and his crew do a great job on all inboard and outboard boats, they keep my stuff humming..
Best place to bring your boat motor to be service or for repairs. My propeller wouldnt engage they had it fixed in 10 mins and I was out the door. Thank you everyone and Clearwater marine for your hard work and great service.
Just purchased a used ski boat from Clearwater Marine along with a trade-in of our old boat. They installed a new engine, cleaned up the exterior and interior, made sure everything was operational. They made sure we were happy with the boat, delivered it to our lake, gave us hands on instructions on its operation, and made necessary adjustments.Although initial estimate for when boat was to be ready was not met, we were overall very pleased with the responsiveness, personal service and level of expertise we received from Kevin at Clearwater Marine.
Got some great help. I dont know much about engines in general and I had to trust that these guys were going to take care of me. It took about a week and a half (everyone else was booked way out) and they had me on the water again. Boat runs perfectly! Havent had any problems since...would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good service place for their boat.
Always friendly, prompt, personal service. Ive used them for years and would never go anywhere else.
Had two experiences: One in 2014 when I had my 90 hp Mercury steering control froze up. They did fix it, but in the process I found that all the wiring for my toggle switches were disconnected including my bilge pump. The second was this year I had an alarm sounding off so when I took it in I asked them to re-hook the wiring and add a pole type running/anchor light. They replaced some electrical module, and the oil injection tank. I paid $600 and then a day later got a call saying they missed billing me another item so I paid another $300-400. When I got a chance to put it in the water I found the wiring had not been fixed and the new light would only work on anchor not on running. When I started the engine It ran rough and smoked terribly. I took it to another repair company and found the oil tank had not been hooked up and I had to have another electrician rewire the switches. When I talked to them they were not willing to do anything unless I brought it back in. Once foolish, twice a fool, three times shame on me. They did admit the work they did was by a technician that only lasted a short time. Would not recommend them to anyone I liked.
Great service!A new out drive was placed into our barge Rosie the Riveter. They came out and did the job correctly. No issues. No call backs. Thanks Dave
Cant say enough about these guys. I bought an electric start Merc 9.9 and couldnt be happier. Competative pricing and expert knowledge are hard to come by. Not here. Thanks to Kevin and the rest of the guys at Clearwater Marine
Bought a 2005 Honda 9.9 outboard last week, and picked it up today.Dave was very informative with the motor when I came in to look at it.Jeremy (I think) was the person in the store when I picked it up,and he wheeled the motor out to the parking lot & put it on my 16 Lund boat.Excellent customer service gentleman!! Appreciate all your help!!
Have to say always helpfull.Im very happy that I have found this spot. Will bring my boating needs there every time I can.
Brought my motor in that would not restart. They ran it and adjusted the carberator for no charge. They have my business going forward!
Not sure if Im going to give them another chance. So far no parts that I have purchased from them have been right, and no repair has been completed to any level of satisfaction. They also need to stop saying well see what we can do when you call to ask about a repair job timeframe.
Only place I. Will bring my boat the workers are. Awsom and. I would recommend to. A friend
Stopped in for some info and they were helpful.
Clearwater Marine service was exactly what their title says Service! Dave the owner took the time to break down what my outboard needed and walked me through the maintenance necessary to get it back to top shape! They followed up on the quote with a personal call to get approval to move forward with the repairs, stayed within their original quote and finished the job two days early! This got my family on the water for opening day. The other marine services in Bellingham acted as if they were doing me a favor to take my business 6 weeks down the road and could not or would not take the time to give me a quote. I have found my home town family business to keep my toys in shape. Thanks Dave and the crew at Clearwater! Jeff Carrington Birch Bay Washington
This family business have saved me more times than I can count. Great mechanics and alot of knowledge in the building
We are in the Marine business and looking for a place to refer our customers to. Our experience is we are taking 9.9 hp outboards to shops in Whatcom County with the same running conditions and seeing what the outcomes are. I understand they are different engines and manufacturers so some pricing and labor will differ. We dropped off a Merc. 9.9 (Tohatsu) that would idle but not run up. The red light stayed on and that engine shut down. It had new oil in it and spark plugs. Here is what our bill stated Labor- Engine oil was high. Lowered engine oil and ran. Wouldnt idle. remove carburetor and clean. reinstall and test. Runs well and idles well. 1- engine oil (quart- they did not add oil) $9.85Disposal of ENVIRONMENTAL WASTE ( Less than one quart ) $6.45. MAKE SURE IF YOU USE THEM TO CHECK FOR HIDDEN OR UNREASONABLE FEES!!! We can not in good conscience recommend Clearwater Marine.
Good deals and reasonable prices.
They are well versed with Optimax repair and maintenance. Friendly staff.
My brother and I purchased a boat together and we brought it to Clearwater tune-up....she was running rough. Clearwater told us the carburetors needed work. We picked the boat up and went for a test run on Whatcom. Not three minutes into the voyage the engine sputtered and died. We returned with the exact same issues as we had when we brought her in. I got a call a week later and they said we had bad fuel in the tank. Maybe Im off base with my angst? but I would think checking the fuel source of an outboard thats running rough would be something a professional service tech would check before rebuilding a carburetor.?My situation took place a couple years ago and maybe things have changed since? The only reason this review is coming to fruit at this time is that I just searched the internet for some other work needed, Clearwaters website came up and I guess Im still pissed. By the way, they did clean our fuel tank out.....for almost $800.00
Great people who care about you
From my experience it wasnt good at all. they wouldnt keep me updated and it took them 5 months to tell me they dont have parts for my dads 20 hp mercury . thats just my experience maybe it would be different for you though .
My story is to long and Im just going to say after 2 weeks of them giving me the wrong part and the run around. You all should just go to Lake Union and save yourself the stress of dealing with Clearwater.
Friendly, knowledgable and reasonably priced!!
Friendly staff and experienced.
Bad experience
