Wow. The food at this little place is incredible. We got the when in Rome burger which was easily the best burger in Bellingham. Also, biscuits and gravy were delicious and the coconut curry soup was great. Its a bit of a weird convenience store and gourmet sandwich place. Selection is quite good for its tiny footprint.

A great store that was conveniently located near where we were staying. I was able to pick up some local beer for myself and gluten free stuff for my wife. If were in the area again and need anything this is where well be going!

What a fun little find! They have a little of literally everything. I got some cute little fresh herb starts, lettuce starts and arugula starts. My partner got some beer and snacks. We found some local organic ground beef and other local delights. If you are exploring Whatcom County like we were today and you happen upon this secret gem, make sure you stop! Thank you for your cozy and warm shop! We will be back!

Really awesome store, with your staples but also some unique inventory! Fantastic drink selection.Burgers + potato salad were great, could potentially use a little more sauce (tricky tho w/takeout as you don’t want it to get too soggy - maybe ask for a side of sauce).

The double cheese burger was good, I really liked freshness of the toppings and ithere enough of them to build a great burger, the burger sauce was so good i didnt need ketchup.I got the coleslaw as a side and it was better with each bite.. A little different than most but not over the top,, i didnt care for the bun mucj but it was ok

Great little grocery store with a surprising amount of natural and organic options, but the kitchen and deli is wicked good. Their chef is legit and the food made in house is well worth the trip.

Blown away by the awesome spot on the way to and from Mount Baker. Youll dig the fresh and hot sandwiches from the Deli, beer selection and different snacks. Youll be surprised by the jerky options, different beverages, friendly staff and hidden gems a store this small might not normally carry. Great little store they have a little of everything and a great kitchen for a quick lunch or dinner. They have some great desserts. They have some beers on tap and a decent selection of hard ciders.

Very friendly clerks. Prices are typical for a fuel station. One plus is that they have wide selection of drinks and snacks. They also sell some baked goods and hot meals. The biggest thing to note is their large & chewy Monster Cookie for $2.50. Absolutely delicious. I come just for the cookie, its just that good.

Without a doubt one of the hidden gems in bellingham. Atmosphere and staff and food are amazing my new favorite spot.

Great well provisioned country store. First time for the Philly Cheese Steak Sand. Good fresh ingredients, but flavor didnt pop. I will try again next trip up the highway.

Easily one of the best hamburgers Ive ever had. The kitchen is always consistent in their quality. The place has a quiet, and inviting atmosphere. Exactly what one would expect in a little country store. Their selection of beer, wine, snacks, and locally crafted goods are exceptional. One of my favorite stops.

Awesome little store that provides any type of refreshment you need. The fresh sandwiches, salads and soups will change your life. The turkey provolone and deluxe grilled cheese are my go to choices, but everything is great. Staff is always friendly, a great store!

I’ve driven by the Rome Store many times, but had never stopped in until today, when I grabbed some lunch at their deli. WHOA! Talk about sensational grub! The club sandwich was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten. The cream of tomato soup was wonderfully seasoned and just the right texture. If you’re out on the Mount Baker Highway, do yourself and the local economy a favor and stop here!

Home made food. Better than mom used to make. Im addicted to the caramel apple bread pudding and not about to quit. Soups are delicious. Local honey,crafts,and a great selection. Wonderful staff. Friendly environment. My favorite little store in the northwest.

Good food, nice & friendly staff, good corner grocery options.Okay so two years later I need to amend my review. Not just good Corner Grocery options but there are some amazing ones. For instance, on Sunday afternoon living 20 minutes from Bellingham I called to find out if they had curry paste. And they did! How awesome is that for out in the country??!!

A country store thats bright, clean, friendly atmosphere, where you can buy a tasty snack on the go or simply relax at one of the many tables provided, read the local paper while eating a delicious pie they bake daily. A Great place for baked goodies, sandwiches, fresh made salads, organic drinks and other healthy foods.
