Very discouraging to have an appointment for routine issues and arrive to be told your car will be worked but it might be end of day. I understand short staff issues, but then adjust appointments. Major wasted day.
Had the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car. Greg, my sales rep, was incredibly nice. He gave me advice about what I needed and the best car for me. Showed me the different features of each car to make an easy choice. The price was good since there are not that many cars to choose from now. The follow up has been so good. Calling me to make sure I’m comfortable and can figure out all of the electronics. Great dealership.
Very happy! Showed up asking for a certain car, and left with the exact same car I asked for! Never did I feel any pressure. Asked for what I wanted and they drew the papers right there. Explained everything in detail, and I left with exactly what I wanted.
Service Department was quick to check in my vehicle. They were helpful to verify that previous service ( e g recent oil change ) had already been done and would not require another oil change. They were receptive of my request to replace wiper blades that needed to be replaced. The service ( which was most impressive to me ) was completed 3 hrs ahead of time. GREATLY Appreciated!!!Definitely a 5 Star Service experience.Thanks Subaru of Bend.
Very good experience. Check-in went smooth. Told my service would take 2 1/2 to 3 hours, but got a call in an hour saying it’s ready. Check-out also went smooth. Provided me with a summary of the service and told they appreciate my business. I appreciated the great service.
Reduced to 3 stars. There are good people that work here, but man are they jerks sometimes first thing when everyone shows up for service. They have a very poor system for managing the line and are quick to shut you down if you want to talk to someone.
Our experience was wonderful! We worked with Sam and he was so knowledgeable. He took us through the whole car and explained all the ins and out of how each thing worked. We had to cut our time short and Sam came over to our house the next day to make sure we where comfortable and felt good with how our car ran. Subaru of Bend, TOP CLASS! My check engine light came on and I felt it misfiring a bit. I drove it right to the dealership and helped me right away. They diagnosed it and fixed it within hours.I got back to my car after paying and found a post it from the mechanic/technician thanking me for my business!! This would be 5 stars but they took four and a half months to fix my car. They are always friendly. They gave me a loaner car while they had mine. They fixed it better than new.

First service appointment was great. Right on time and pleasant experience. Took less that an hour and we enjoyed waiting in the lounge.
Wonderful service, provided courtesy car was quick and the driver, Jim, was super kind and helpful with activities to do while we were waiting for our car to be fixed. Our service rep, Chip, was also fantastic and made sure our car was patched up quickly, despite our unexpected visit after car troubles on our road trip. I would recommend Subaru of Bend to anyone, their staff is amazing. Also their lounge is dog friendly and had ample treats (and pets) for our dog while we waited.
The repair was lengthy in nature. I had great assistance from my service manager, Jeff, and was provided a loan car while my vehicle was in the shop. All work was completed effectively. Subaru America covered a good portion of the repair cost even though my vehicle was a year past the warranty date. This was greatly appreciated.
Very friendly and attentive staff. The communication was great from beginning to end. Went in for a 60k mile service. Only reason for 4 stars is because cars are expensive to service and I wasn’t excited about paying so much—however they were $200 cheaper than another quote in town.

60K service on our Forester. Offered a free loaner for the day. Paperwork done by 8:30a. Jeff estimated pickup at 4pm but he called at noon to tell me the car would be done by 1p. He also gave me a tour of their new (huge) service center under construction. All in all a great experience. They go the extra mile.

Service check in was easy and fast. I worked with Chip and he did a great job. The visit was for a factory software upgrade and it was done in a timely manner.I also asked to have the service technicians look at a loose piece of weatherstripping which they did and quickly repaired.I was very satisfied with my visit.

Service center opens at 7:30 so I got there at 7:15 to be first in line….I was already the 9th car and thought I’d be in for a long wait. I was super impressed when they opened a few minutes early with a full team checking in the long line of cars within minutes. I was quickly provided a shuttle back to my house and was able to pick up my car a few hours later without missing any work. Great customer service, especially considering they’re remodeling as well as adhering to covid restrictions. Appreciated the communication and quick turn around.
I was very pleased with the service on my new Outback at Subaru of Bend. They listened to my concerns/needs for my car, got me scheduled, and indeed found that the car needed a slight alignment. So thankful to have such a great service center here in Bend!
The service I experienced was the BEST EVER, and Ive lived all over the country and owned several new cars over the years. I was especially gratified by my interactions with the guy who was in charge of the service department yesterday. He did not forget a thing, and he was absolutely on top of the whole ball game. Sorry I didnt write down his name, but it should be obvious to you.Overall, you have a great organization . . . and I know what Im talking about. I was once the youngest Safeway manager in the county, in downtown Los Angeles, so I know where Im coming from. Keep this same large crew, of mechanics and others, and youll always be the very best.
They were very straightforward about what they could accomplish, and worked around my needs as much as possible. Plus, dog friendly!

Overall pretty good experience. Had a head gasket job done and they were able to get my warranty company to pay for it, $2200 so thankful for that. Took a while but only because of short staffing not really their fault. Only complaint really is I got my car back did a bit of a close once over found a loose coupling for my intercooler (I have a WRX). Also one small tube was not connected which didn’t seem like a big deal, however it was the tube that told my ECU what sort of boost I was making and how to regulate it (boost control solenoid). I started to make way too much boost, upwards of 24psi; typically I was making 18.5psi max before I took it in. If you don’t know about cars, basically if I kept running it like that could’ve blown up my engine. Only reason for me personally I didn’t leave a lower review is because I was able to figure this out within the first day and my car is now running great. People there are pretty nice as well. It ended up taking longer than expected and they gave me a rental car free of charge:).
Brendon was very helpful and kind as a salesman. He answered all of my questions, and was never pushy. We test drove the Crosstrek and it was a great ride. The woman in finance (Chrystal, I think) was also great. She informed me of all of the warranty and protective options and, again, was not pushy at all when I turned some of them down. I really appreciate that as I am not a fan of the dont take no for an answer approach. Everyone was great, and we got a great car!
The Service team was great! They’re knowledgeable and did exactly what they said they’d do. Nothing more, nothing less and finished the work ahead of time. I’ve seen some reviews where customers were less then happy with either the work done or how they were treated as customers. Everything, from the moment I pulled in, to leaving the dealership, it was all a great experience and I couldn’t be more pleased!
I went in for an oil change without an appointment, just a drop off. I was told my car would be ready by 4 but got a call at 2. What a pleasant surprise!! The service is always great!
Service rep was nice enough to come look at the car with me and confirm that parts would need to be ordered.. but wasnt much of a problem solver. As I was roadtripping and didnt want to delay, I called ahead to the Boise dealership and that rep was able to order the parts (which actually CAME FROM Oregon and probably couldve been available same day had he checked 🙄), provide a cost estimate, and confirm what time I should be there the next day.
Service personnel were very attentive and friendly. I was in line at service for 7:30 a.m. opening and was pleasingly surprised that service personnel started to process my by around 7:25 a.m. for an early start. The waiting area was clean and comfortable with good hot coffee. My service rep kept me apprised of the progress on my visit - all worked out so very well.
I had to wait 3 hours to get the oil changed. They wanted to discuss a problem with the battery and didnt even come into the waiting room, where I told them I would be, to talk to me. I live a long way out of town, so I will find a place closer for the next oil change or repair work.

My car kept dying, they got me in even though they were busy and communicated with Mr the whole time. Even though they were short staffed they still were so nice and helpful!

Heard the service dept. was great. Not so today, two calls two different women. Different answers to the same questions. The second one told me to look up the number for Roadside Assistance because she didn’t have it. So I called RA and they told me couldn’t help me because my keys didn’t work, which is why I called Subaru in the first place. A third call to the service department went unanswered so I left a message for the service manager to call me.
We just purchased our 4th Subaru from Subaru of Bend. We love our 2022 Subaru Outback. If youve never done business with Subaru of Bend, I highly recommend you check them out. Their team is truly outstanding. They are incredibly knowledgeable and patient as you decide what is best for your family. Plus, if you didnt know, Subaru is the official car of Central Oregon! So if you are new to town, welcome. Now get a Subaru, a dog or two, bikes, paddleboards, and skis or snowboards.
I never write reviews but this place with the customer service really deserves a one starOne time I took my car in to get a new key faub because only the lock button was working on my car and they then called me back the next day to tell me how they couldnt program a new one. Ok not ideal but not horrible when the key is returned to me I unlocked my car from the passenger side and tried to use the lock button to lock button only to find that now both buttons were not working. When I confronted someone at the desk about this they had the mechanic come out to help only for him to just say that it came in like that. Classic mechanic line I would have expected at a shady independent shop.Not only that they sold me hundreds of dollars (close to 1000) of parts that were not for my caroverall bummed with how they treated me
The service folks were very nice and worked quickly (5 stars for them) but giving the dealership decision makers a one star for their policy of NOT being able to give me a ride back to my house in the next town over which is maybe 20 miles, thus the overall rating is pulled down. Not offering a shuttle car service to a neighboring town is a mystery to me. Why would I want to purchase a new vehicle there in the future? Again, Jeff did a great job but cant say as much for the policy decison to not offer shuttle service to another town that is less than 20 miles away.

I went into Subaru of Bend just to see the value of my 2018 trade-in and was pleasantly surprised by the stellar level of care for my situation and clear communication from Chris Mangan (sales). I ended up leaving with my dream car, a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Premium, for lower payments and an upgraded model from my 2018. Clark Fraser in finance also explained my warranty and options in an easily digestible way that I greatly appreciated. No pressure. Thank you both!

I realize there are many Subarus in the area but I arrived at 8:15 amfor an oil change and had to wait 4.5 hours. To make an appointment,would have pushed me back to the first week of July for an opening.I hope after the remodel and expansion the efficiency will get better.

I recently located to this region and needed to have my regular oil/filter change done.Now, I have been having some low oil issues with my 2017 Outback and had it checked with the Subaru dealership I have been going to for several years back in GA before relocating and driving across country to OR.The day before I had an appointment with Bend Subaru, my car was having starting issues. I was able to get it started, called Bend Subaru and asked if they could get me in right away.Even though they were crazy busy, they were able to get me in and give me loaner.I also have an extended warranty that has come in quite handy as most cars are so computer driven and updates can add up.Chip Carmichael checked me in. He was very nice, very thorough, extremely knowledgeable with trying to assess my oil and starting issues to pass along to his mechanics.Extremely courteous customer services representatives that work at Bend Service.Chip called me the next day to let me know that my car was ready.He wants to see my car at 1200 miles to reassess the low oil issues.That made me feel comfortable and confident that Bend Subaru service will be my go to place for my Outback.I felt the prices were very fare based on my previous experience at my GA Subaru dealership.I really like Chip, he is a real pro and is funny, great personality.The rental assistant was super cool as well.
Katie and Brandon helped me in the service area and were all very professional and answered all of my annoying questions. Katie even managed to squeeze me in within the week because my keys were stuck in the ignition of my car. Brandon really went the extra mile on communication on what exactly was wrong and what else needed to be addressed with my car. The service receipt detailed that Noah was the tech in my car and I haven’t had any problems with it since! The interior of my car was clean and nothing was misplaced. I was also almost due for an oil change and they squeezed that into my diagnostic appointment. I know they are under construction and scheduling is an absolute mess but everyone I spoke too was more than professional and everything was done on my car that needed to be and more.
In the middle of a long and hot road trip, the car broke down in Bend. Chip in the service department was very helpful despite how busy it was (I didn’t have an appointment), and he fit us in to replace the battery. It is 110 degrees today, so the service department gets extra credit for being so friendly and helpful.
I was impressed with the ease of my complicated transaction at Subaru of Bend. I traded in two vehicles and purchased a new Subaru! Jeremy Fry was amazing and so helpful in guiding me through the options, but not overbearing at all. This transaction was painless from a sales and finance perspective and very fair from a value perspective. I would highly recommend Subaru of Bend. My sales experience with Chris from internet sales was absolutely phenomenal. He listened to my needs, had the car ready to go when we had an appointment. Phenomenal experience. Recently, however I scheduled a service appointment for 11:30 am. I was told said service would take 2-3 hours so I took time off work. I arrived early and was told that it could take all day, would not give me an actual time frame. “It’ll take the rest of the day” is what I continuously heard. If you can’t handle your bookings, don’t make the appointment. In my opinion, that’s common sense. Very unimpressed with a place I used to hold in high regards. Sad this experience changed my opinion.
Great experience! I dropped my car off early for my appointment for new brakes and added an oil change and a headlight. They took care of me right away and completed the job early. Everyone was pleasant and professional. I am confident about the job that was done and feel great about the whole thing.

The manager and sales people are good… however service was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. They are horrible at communication, I don’t think they called me once in the 6 days that my car was broken down to give me and update until I called them first. They also would not give me a time estimate for anything, it seems as tho every time I talked to them their answer was “I don’t know”

Customer Service was terrific! They quickly found the cause for the low air pressure in my tire - a small screw! The patched it and said it was like new, given the low mileage in my 2021 Crosstrek. The charge - $20! Toyota and Honda never charged me that low sum for anything! Thank you!!
They are way, way too busy and way too far behind on the remodel, but if you plan way ahead and get a service appointment they do take good care of you. Ive purchased 3 new cars from them over the years and have never had buyers remorse.
The crew down @ Subaru of Bend are always professional, knowledgeable and go the extra mile to ensure if there are ANY recall or warranty repairs my Cross Trek is needing. I truly appreciate knowing my vehicle had parts replaced that I may have otherwise not known were a safety concern. Thankfully theyre on top of these things.

Subaru of Bend went above and beyond this month when they were able to get my snow tires off and oil changed before I went on a very last minute road trip. In the midst of a humongous dealership expansion and a pandemic they provided me with such outstanding service that I felt compelled to write a review about them. I literally saw service employees running to get people taken care of when I dropped my car off. They do it all with really great attitudes too. The shuttle drivers are a plus because I didn’t even have to take any time off work to wait for my car to be serviced. Just a great experience all around. I’ll never take my car anywhere else.
I bought my first Outback from Subaru of Bend in 2012 and I just upgraded to a 2021. I really like the Outback, but I also stick with Subaru because I like working with this dealership.
