The atmosphere for reading is astounding..... A open fire place would make it Perfecto....my daughters and I would never leave🙂

A small Barnes and noble with a Starbucks inside. If you want a book, you can probably get most of what you want here. They also have a large Lego section.

This store is always very clean and quiet. Great place to walk around if you want some peace and quiet. Love the way they organize the books too

The staff that were available were very helpful, and they have a solid selection of books and games. You know why you go to a Barnes & Noble, it’s a perfectly serviceable bookstore.

My cane was stolen from a BURKENSTOCK Store around the corner from where we stayed in Medford. Had no way to replace it until we stopped at the Barns and Noble store in Bend where a very kind employee asked another worker to sub for her to get one from her car that her aunt wasnt using. This kindness was over and above. We had to keep moving. But her kindness will always be remembered.

I love going here and browsing all the stuff.......especially the cards and stationary section.

Barnes has always been a favorite bookstore of mine since childhood. I’ve always felt welcomed. This particular occasion not so much. I felt really awkward being asked to show my vaccination card before entering. It’s definitely a violation of civil rights. It’s medical discrimination, and I won’t be supporting this book store any further until this changes.

Gland to get back in the store. Always more things to look at then what you came in for. Thats a good thing. I saw that they had audio books didnt have time to check them out I will the next time I go.

Took my daughter Ysa into the Book Store and she went nuts! So many books than she has ever seen before in one place. My wife had fun watching her shop.At the end we came out with $100 in books, a membership and then a promise to take her back soon

Only one book am I allowed to buy myself are paydays and I love the fact that Barnes and Nobles series all genres of Witchcraft Wicca paganism and who do the only things they do not carry or that I could find in store was anything pertaining to Voodoo. Even though in the 21st century in the 2020s hoodoo is a form of voodoo but as true practitioners no there is a difference. I do like to find hidden treasures at used bookstores but its much harder to find in areas like these. Five stars for the simple fact that they carry such a wide range of Wicca and the customer service was great the kid that helped me was awesome. I will be back do this location when Im back in town

Normally my husband and I love the relaxed atmosphere and helpful people. however this visit was something else altogether. After wandering about. enjoying our day at your store I got in line right on the 6 spot in front of desk. I failed to notice that only one queue was moving. A blonde girl at the desk yelled at me saying, hey lady! move to end of line. I didnt respond quickly because I only heard the hey lady. I am deaf in one year right now as I am recovering from aneurysm. small stroke and brain bleed. Unfortunately she nearly ruined the day with her rude. humiliating, and abusive call out. I hope in future your store will be kinder in their treatment of senior citizens.

Really? This completely disturbing display is enough to remind me why to shop locally at Dudleys our local independently-owned book shop. As if there isn’t enough strife in the world right now.

Staff is amazing. They are always happy to show you exactly where to look or offer to order it for you. They do have curbside pick up as well.

The store has a wide verity and are very helpful if they dont have the book you want.

Love this store! The management is really helpful and the staff is so friendly. It is always a nice place to visit, have a coffee and browse the latest. Books not in stock are easy to order and come in quickly.

Amazing customer service and books!

Barnes and Noble Cafe is roomy, lots of windows, tables are not too close, and even has a gas fireplace in the middle. Lots of parking and easy access. Then add wonderful staff at Starbucks and you get a 5 star rating! Employees are helpful and respectful of each other AND great coffee. Great place to meet up with friends and enjoy the surroundings.

Love Barnes & Noble! Sometimes more pricey but dependable. Personally I love a good bargain so checking nearby thrift stores and used book stores is good if you know what you’re looking for. But some deals at Barnes & Noble really are good for brand spankin new book! Barnes & Noble can also be really great for finding little gifts for people even those who don’t read much!

I love that there is still a place to walk around and view books. I love the atmosphere of a book store. Its a dying breed, and I love that Bend still has a Barnes and Noble. The people are knowledgeable and helpful.

Goodness do I love a good book as much as the next!So walking into Barnes&Noble I expected to find nothing less but I was friendly welcomed with a beautiful Christmas window display and the smell of winter! I was also offered help finding whatever I needed so if your looking for a warm welcome come along!

Even in the era of electronic access and information, I still enjoy browsing a good bookstore. The staff are helpful and exceptionally nice. I was offered a free chocolate truffle from the coffee shop (yum!). But most importantly, I scored travel guides and airplane reading for a very soon departure.

Bought a journal for the fourth time at Barnes & Noble today. Always been impressed with their selection--good quality leather journals allegedly hand-fashioned in Italy. Only suggestion would be to keep a closer eye on the front desk, but I wasnt waiting too long for someone to check me out. All around a great experience (as always).

There aren’t many book stores left and the ones remaining are short on variety and quality of titles.A certain prevalent online bookstore has demolished brick&mortar competitors and this is the result.The staff is great but they are limited with what they have on hand.

This is a great location. They gave away samples and it was sooooo beautiful. Fall colors. Clean and crisp. The bookstore itself has a vast selection of magazines. Twice as many as the average ones. And the seats were new and very comfortable.

I love this place. Been going here for a while now, and I especially like both the starbucks and the weird & wild little gadgets at the checkout. Staff is nice too.

Kids love to go here. Good place to relax, read, study whatever your in the mood for. Staff is always friendly. There are a lot of groups that come here regularly as well as community events which is cool. These guys often host fundraisers as well which is amazing.

I am one of the last few fans of Barnes & Noble I will pay up to an extra $20 to order or buy something in a Barnes & Noble store over Amazon but this store is in desperate need of updating Ive been to a few Barnes and nobles in the Eugene area and Portland area and those seem a bit more modern easier to find things great selection this was a very small selection almost no language lesson books on hand very little selection of manga and comic books they had a lot of out-of-date things theyre most of their comic books were from the 2011 issues it was a bit disappointing.

One of my favorite places. Great selection and costumer service. They will help you order any book they dont have in stock and deliver it for free with a membership.

Such a nice place to spend time even if you have nothing to buy. The staff are always extremely helpful and you never feel like you need to worry about questions as they are always there to help in a very fast and polite manner. Plus they have great deals at the Cafe!

I was looking for a specific book last minute for a white elephant gift tonight and was fortunate enough to find it at this location. However, when I got there to buy the book they were charging TEN dollars more than Amazon!!! Thats outrageously overpriced. When I mentioned that to the cashier she was very nice about it but told me they dont price match. If I hadnt needed it right then I would have walked out and bought it online. Not sure how theyre still in business. I know now not to shop here anymore. I feel totally gouged :(

As always, the staff was so friendly and helpful. My granddaughter and I spent a wonderful afternoon in the childrens section perusing the great selection of childrens books. When we left, we felt as if we had been on a vacation! My only complaint is that a membership is $25/year. Seems aottle steep for the privileges you get.

This store continues to fall short. Went to get a daytimer for the year. No sales way ever priced. A 2018 calendar 30.00 its the end of the year. Another one that stopped in July 25.00 really, must not want to sell them.Books some good sales but if you want to buy a book in a series and want to start with the first one good luck. Usually they have the second one but order the rest. Humans are an instant gratification people, really we can order it. Dont bother. Ill wait until I can go to Powells Bookstore in Portland.I used my gift card because I dont want to have to go back. Barnes & Noble get a clue your not that great

I used to love book stores. No one was available to help and it seems more expensive than online shopping. I did however like the cool toy section where I found a do it yourself comic book kit for my nephew!

Always a destination for crossword and a variety of game books for the males in the family! Also have a unique selection of craft books, toys, puzzles and books for kids & adults. Helpful, knowledgeable staff make shopping there productive.

Well, if a Barnes & Noble has the ability to be friendly, helpful, organized, relaxed, clean, and open to all, then this one is EVERYTHING BUT that!!!...Rude, sexist, bigoted management, & arrogant, self-righteous booksellers whom are either too busy sharing personal stories and derogatory comments about its customers or engaged in menial tasks about the sales floor to be bothered to help one another let alone their customers makes the reasons for a fading book reading culture obvious! While some of the Barnes & Noble Bookstores have been or are absolutely fantastic bastions of literary joy, such as those of East Tucson and the Downtown Seattle Store, large chain bookstores of B&N like those in Bend are basically self-service, dont ask, dont tell, repositories of discriminating, elitist management, whom are far more interested in their own stories than the selling to their customers of books with interesting stories within.....

Went in and had a great experience until I went to check out. I went on their website to see if they had a cheaper price on the books I was going to buy. Their prices were substantially lower on their website than in store. I went to see if they could price match and they said they dont price match from their own website. This is why over half of the population shops online and not in stores.

I could spend hours here. Courteous friendly knowledgeable staff always eager to be helpful...very neat and organized. The environment has akways been very welcoming. On one occasion i was looking for a gift for one who seems to have every book. 3 clerks helped me and the gift was perfect.

Was looking for DnD books. Found them. Left happy. Everyone was super helpful!

I love this bookstore. It gets busy around 4 pm usually but it’s big enough to accommodate a bigger crowd, I just prefer more tranquility. It’s easy to get lost at this bookstore.

Love Barnes and Noble! Their bargain books are unbeatable and their exclusive Funko Pop! are always in stock....however, why have a sign up above the desk for online pickup wait here if we are supposed to stand in line like everyone else to pickup and online order? Standing there being ignored while others are helped before me and then told the sign doesnt mean anything was kind of time consuming and confusing.

More than a book store, the relaxing environment encourages lingering on soft couches, sipping a latte and eating a pastrie while reading. Whats better than that? If you want a book or CD they dont have in stock, they can ship it to your house.

This is a great book store. I can spend hours in there, and the customer service and the people who work there are the best.

Barnes and Noble are fairly standardized and this one proved no exception. Wide variety of books and distractions, nice coffee shop. The draw for us was the childrens book area which is quite nice. They have regular readings for kids of all ages, with singing and dancing incorporated. Good place to visit.
