I’m gonna be contrarian and not recommend the ocean roll. We loved the breakfast sandwich and the lox bagel. Croissant was terrific. Very nice atmosphere.

Eat here!!!! This place is soooo good!!! Everything was fresh, and the flavor combinations are phenomenal. My husband and I couldn’t help but come here twice already during our 4 day stay...and we’re about to head over here again for a third morning to get breakfast here one more time before we head out. The Ocean Rolls are delicious! And my husband and I have been having their breakfast sandwiches which are seriously the best breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had. The lattes and coffee are delicious as well as the other pastries we’ve tried. Oh, and the staff are all so friendly! Coming here in the mornings has been such a treat and we will seriously miss this place. Thank you for everything, Sparrow Bakery NW!!!

This place is great. Stopped in quickly on our way back to Portland. We got yogurt with their granola and it was excellent. I have other pastries still to try and I am happy to be able to snack on them on the drive home. The space is really nice and open with cool lights and high ceilings. It was super hopping when we went but we didn’t have to wait too long. We got everything take-out but there were people hanging out and eating there too.

This bakery always has a quality product. And if youve never had an Ocean Roll... Weekday are you waiting for. Bakery items can be purchased in select stores, and now the the original site is closing, this remains THE option. Will miss the old setting, but this features same excellent products.

The world famous ocean rolls a delicious and I had one of the best eclairs I have ever had. I do miss the old location, it had more character and a better atmosphere.

This place is great. The ocean roll and bacon breakfast sandwich are awesome. There is usually a line, but if you get there early its not bad. This location has a little bit more selection than the other.

If you’re looking for insanely delicious breakfast, lunch and goodies, AND an instagram worthy setting, run to Sparrow Bakery. Apologies — my photos are definitely not instagram worthy but I can assure you that the food was really yummy. We had a bacon egg sandwich on a croissant, the monte Christo sandwich, a salt bagel and cream cheese, another breakfast sandwich with poached egg, pesto & arugula and we picked up cookies and a loaf of bread for later. Everything was outstanding!Bonus: this bakery is permed by a really nice LGBTQ+ couple, and I think it’s important to support small businesses in general and small businesses owned by minorities in particular. So, go, enjoy, and then tell your friends to go too.

Everything here was fantastic. The pastries are second to none and the Ocean Roll is as great as everyone says it is! We found this location to be less crowded than the Scott St location. There was amble seating with quick and friendly service.

The Sparrow Bakery is a “must visit” eatery when traveling to Bend, OR. On the advice of a friend we tried the bakery. We visited the NorthWest Crossing location not knowing what to expect but we were certainly “Wowed!” Though not exactly sure what to expect with the Monte-Cristo, all I can say is that is is an explosion of amazing flavors! I’ve pictured this along with the Salad which my wife ordered and said was fantastic, along with the Macarons. Of course the famous Ocean Roll will make you keep coming back for more. For the quality and portion sizes the prices are definitely reasonable. We ordered carry-out so the photos are from the hotel room since we could not leave the dogs unattended. Try and Enjoy!!!

You must try the Ocean Roll, a sweet pastry flavored with cardamom. While an unexpected combination, I found it light and delightful. With coffee? Exceptional! Trendy vibe, friendly staff, wide selection of coffees and teas, many other pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Youll love it!

I had to stop in The Sparrow while attending the North West Crossing Farmers Market. The rumors are true. Their custom made breakfast sandwiches and real vanilla lattes are to die for. Im going back for sure!

Wonderful baked goods-ocean rolls, almond croissants, lemon poppyseed bread in a very accessible space.

Its very nice and clean, but probably because its new. It was busy, but the line moved fast and the food came out fast. The food was very flavorful and delicious! I will definitely visit this place again.

Great breakfast and coffee with healthy options! Just the aroma from the outdoors invite you in and once you look around and see the gorgeous views outside the large windows, it makes an excellent place to chat over some good food and good company!

Fast service and gourmet breakfast sandwiches on real artisan bread. Best known for their Ocean Rolls a sweet honeys flakey pastry with cardamom that goes perfect with their chai latte.

Everything from here is super tasty. Great atmosphere, friendly service, fair prices for the amazing quality.Specifically regarding my Thanksgiving pie delivery... Sparrow offered free delivery for pies the day before Thanksgiving. I ordered a pecan pie over the phone. The guy was very nice and made it super easy to order. As for the pie, I must say it is the most delicious pie Ive ever had. Its absolutely incredible from the taste to the texture. I rate the pie alone 1000 stars. I wonder if they do pecan pies all year... 😋

Very nice and trendy spot. Location is out of town, but in a cute growing area... girl at counter was not super friendly, acted as if our questions were bothering her, But thats okay. The girl who made our drinks was friendly and they tasted Great! Would reccomend this spot for anyone looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy a great coffee/ relax.

Looks like the whole town is in this café. Everything spills, it is so tasty. Croissants are filling, yet crispy, fluffy and flaky. On the expensive side.

Sandwiches were good, and pastries and coffee were great. I would say they weren’t particularly quick about anything, but that’s no big deal. Looking forward to coming back.

Friendly ppl. It was our first time there. Chai latte was yummy and different more Spicer than others Ive had, fries cookies were all good. Mac n cheese was ok a little too greasy for me it is homemade but it wasnt very cheesy or creamy, cheese was a little burned(I prefer Panera Mac n cheese) bread was good, they put to much butter tho. Price is a little too much for what I would pay for some of the stuff. Its a nice warm place to sit and chat have some coffee or pastry.

We had the non-bacon breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. We also tried an Ocean Roll which was lovely too. My one wish is they expand to offer vegan options in the future, perhaps even pastries made with Miyokos. Besides that, highly reccommend.

Good coffee. Cute spot. People hang out here. Several on laptops but many adults with groups of children. The Ocean Roll is delicious and HUGE! Seems like it could be shared by 2-4 people (the picture is of what we didn’t finish). My kid had a cardamom latte with almond milk. I had my quad shot, decaf, iced americano.I wish they had oat milk (much tastier than almond or soy) and I’d love to see local coffee roaster beans used instead of Stumptown but I still highly recommend this spot.

This is their new location with much more seating than their original spot.I always make it a point to stop by every time Im in Bend. The croissant sandwitch with bacon or the version with avocado are must haves. Nice poached egg, arugula, bacon/ avocado, and a delicious arugula aoili. Perfection the in breakfast croissant category.The ocean rolls is a croissant dough pastry with a great cardamom flavor. Perfectly sweet without being too sweet. Definitely worth a taste. Their staff is friendly, food is decent, drinks are good, and the place is clean. Its an easy place to stop in to grab a bite and tea (or coffee) in the A.M.

Specifically regarding a visit on 10/25 around 11 am, they forgot a portion of our order, so we went up to ask, and were told it would be taken care of. We checked again 15-20 minutes later and encountered easily the rudest barista in bend. We were scolded for not asking the right person, then repeatedly accused of trying to get free food (we had just spent at least 100 this day, and 40 a couple days prior).Normally, food is great and service is fine, but absolutely unbelievable how we were treated on this visit.

Sparrow is one of the best bakeries in Oregon! OCEAN ROLLS are literally the best thing in the world... need I say more? So good, period. You can’t go wrong with my naked item though... scones, pretzel, and banana bread!

Great little bakery with good WiFi, good drinks, and good eats... I had a chai latte and it was delicious.

I mean, I know this redundant from the other reviews but the ocean rolls and breakfast croissant are where its at. Seriously, dont leave town without trying them.

The food is good but timeliness is not their motto. I understand a slight wait when establishments are busy, it is certainly expected. But waiting north of 20 minutes with theee customers in the bakery for one sandwich is a little ridiculous.

Had to change our drink order, 5 minutes after we ordered because they did not have white chocolate, then we got a pumpkin spice latte that had pumpkin chunks in it, returned that and got a egg nog latte that was ok. Did get a free ocean roll for our trouble.

Excellent breakfast sandwich. Americanos were weak and tasteless. Been to the closed location awhile back and coffee was excellent. We were disappointed.

We ordered a vanilla latte and a variety of pastries. The vanilla latte had so much vanilla bean it got stuck in your throat. The pastries were great, the ocean roll and galette were amazing.

The online hours differ from what is posted on the front door--they open at 8, not 7. At 7:30 there were a dozen people waiting outside in line. Ill suspect we were all there for our Ocean Roll fix. Upon entering I was bathed in a waft of warm goodness. Oh my.Covid related: social distancing is practiced, masks are worn. They are preferring plastic over cash. For those not wanting to wait, there is a walk up window at 2756 NW Lolo Drive (the main bakery); it opens at 7am.

Killer breakfast sandwiches (and lunch sandwiches), great coffee, and fantastic baked goods. Can be quite busy, but there is usually a table available, or someone vacating. If you have >2 people, you might have to wait for a place to sit.

Ocean roll so good! Pastries are on point. Someone left the teenagers in charge so our prepared sandwiches werent started for 10 minutes until they realized there was an order and then the sandwiches sat on the counter for 5 minutes before they were brought out. And the martini ordered by my friend was prepared by someone who had never made one before...she tried but the drink was less than desirable.

More spacious than the original Sparrow Bakery, but equal in quality. If youre looking for more of an industrious atmosphere, this place is great. If you want more outdoor seating, go to the other one. The food and coffee are the best Ive had from a bakery! The ocean roll is worthy of its high praise. Do yourself a favor and get it, you will be so glad.

If you are wondering if you should come to Sparrow Bakery, stop wondering. Just go. Everything is delicious. Its all made from scratch and uses high quality ingredients. I cannot highly enough recommend the breakfast sandwich with bacon. The cookies are fun and tasty. The service is excellent. The croissants are out of this world. So worth a trip there, even if its out of your way.

Sparrow never disappoints from their lovely pastries to the coffee, cocktails and atmosphere. There bread should not go without mention either. Sparrow is a wonderful Bend staple.

Very impressed every time. But for as good as their baked goods are, what made me happiest was their $2 orange juice. Im so tired of places trying to charge $4-5 a glass.Back to the food. The Ocean Roll seems to be the signature pastry, and for good reason. Its a morning bun with cardamom, and its executed flawlessly. I ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich, but when I saw the lox, I started to regret my decision. That regret lasted until my breakfast sandwich arrived. One of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive ever had. Cant wait to try the lox next time.This place is great, and highly deserving of their rating.

A great place to get brunch, love going here on sundays, and in the summer. the staff is always kind and the wait is never too long. definitely my favorite Bakery, hands down.

Nice open layout, and they serve so much more than just bread. Much better of and experience overall than the 2nd st. location (which is still AMAZING). The coffee is as good as any other local shop, and the service was fast. Ocean Rolls are among the best things in existence anyway, and here is where you can get them from the source. Seriously, have one of those. Itll change your life.

Butter is our friend.The croissants are the best--and really anything made with this dough is spectacular. Ocean rolls are a must, but get here early as they will assuredly run out early on in the day.Coffee, pastries, delicious and flavorful sandwiches served in a clean quiet part of town makes this place a must-go. The views on a clear day are worth the trip. And they are open later than the original location so if youre hankering for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up then this is the right place.

One of my absolute favorite finds in Bend for breakfast and coffee. The egg croissant sandwich is the perfect balance for a morning fill and all their pastries and desserts are mouthwatering. The Ocean Roll is also something to be raved about... it’s like a cinnamon roll but not? Either way it’s this perfect amount of pastry and sweetness. Highly recommend stopping off if you’ve never been.

I think they get hire based on the size of the heart and the smile... just amazing staff working here!The food is great and from time to time you will get some new stuff they are running...Overall, if you are local to Bend then this is your place for coffee, food, O.Roll (you need to come and explore what it is) and if you are just for a visit then it is a must!

Lived in Bend my whole life and finally made it to Sparrow for the first time this summer! Been here 3 times in the last week now. Fantastic and personable service, super yummy food, quality local coffee, and a clean and aesthetic atmosphere. Hope to be back soon!
