The need to remodel a kitchen and install a new fireplace led my wife and me to Nelson Tile and Stone. Beginning in November last year, Leland began to work with us on kitchen counters. Looking at different materials and colors, he was patient, and very good in guiding our selections, even after we changed directions at least once. We finally settled on Quarzite counter tops. These were installed in December under the careful eyes of the owner Chris. The first three photos show from counter install to kitchen completion.The second project we worked with Leland on was the facing for the fireplace, to be owner installed. He was great in guiding us again in material selection and also counseling someone (me) who had never installed porcelain tiles before. This project was not started until April due to a back injury and has proceeded very slowly as a result. Now in July the facing is done (thanks to the help of a good friend Mac), but the cherry mantel and hearth are still in the shop awaiting my handiwork. The last two photos show the before and after results of the facing installation.We cannot speak more highly of the personnel at Nelson Tile and highly recommend them for having a wide selection of products and, by the way, their pricing is very competitive,

Just finished a kitchen remodel job with Nelson Tile & Stone. I loved working with Leland and am so pleased with my new counters! The quality of the quartz slab counters is top notch, as are the stainless sink, disposer, and beautiful faucet that Leland sourced for me. The project was able to start right away, and finished on schedule. Their team completed each phase exactly on the dates I was told they would.Throughout the process, Leland was very communicative, sending timely updates and pictures, even if he had less than perfect news to report (one small snafoo!) :-) As for the snafoo, we had a color match problem, which was resolved quickly with no setback to the schedule, and to my 100% satisfaction. The demo to the old counters was done perfectly, with so much care that there was absolutely no damage done to the existing cupboards, walls or tile backsplash! They even sourced a matching tile trim to finish out the counter/wall joint, so I didnt have to worry about it.Overall, I highly recommend Nelson Tile & Stone, and would work with them again in a heartbeat! I rarely give 5 star reviews, because nobody is perfect, but they are definitely a 4.99! I also found their pricing to be comparable to other countertop suppliers, including Home Depot, and they have a huge selection of colors, materials, and accessories.Please have Nelson Tile & Stone give you an estimate for your remodel or construction needs. They were extremely helpful when I was doing initial research and gathering estimates, with no pressure at all. Leland was always willing to meet me at the showroom when necessary, as I live out of town, which was extremely accommodating.Thank you!

We worked with Leland and Chis at Nelson Tile and Stone. Starting out, Leland was super helpful in terms of figuring out what style we were going for and then finding the right product to match our budget. We ended up going with rustic gray granite - and couldnt be happier. Chris did a great job with the install. We would use Nelson again for any countertops/ tile job and would recommend them to others without any reservation whatsoever!

Adam did an excellent job installing a glass tile back splash in our kitchen. It was evident he is an experienced professional who is focused on doing quality work. Adam arrived on time every day, was very detail oriented in making sure every tile was in the perfect place, involved us if he had a question and was very neat while working every day. As a contractor I rarely get the time to work on our own home. Recently I had some free time and decided to do a overdue project here in our kitchen. After building new doors and drawers and repainting, the rest of the kitchen looked awful! Those old laminate tops had to go. I was thinking that granite tops for our cabinets would be out of our price range but I was pleasantly surprised at Nelson Tile and Stone. I was treated to a really great price below what I was expecting and had been quoted by other suppliers. When I entered their show room I met with friendly staff who pointed me in the right direction immediately. After falling in love with a granite slab they took control of the project and kept all their time line commitments. They actually showed up when they were scheduled and did what they said they would do. The granite they installed is finished beautifully and the one seam is almost invisible. That is hard to accomplish in a lot of granite installations. Finally the contractors wife has a kitchen to be proud of. I recommend Nelson Tile and Stone for all your tile and stone work. Give them and try and I think you wont be disappointed as I was delighted with all their work and products.

Great service! Jennifer the showroom manager was really helpful with our tile project. We had a little problem with another tile company and came to her and explained our situation. We had a short window to complete a remodel and she was all in on helping us getting the tile. Normally it takes a week for the tile to come in, but she said that she could possibly get it to us a lot sooner. Its companies like these that make our job a little easier. I didnt have a huge tile ob, actually a very small one but unique. I had a small section of 1979 era 3x3 tiles in a shower/tub that needed to be replaced. Ive never done tile work, so I didnt know 3X3 tiles are no longer available really anywhere. Leland at Nelson Tile worked with me to come up with a solution that works both in color and fit. I spent some time going through their stock of tiles trying to find a replacement and they had a lot of really good options.

She is incredibly talented at finding the right tile, creating the right design look, at the right price within your budget. I went to several tile places and ended up getting all my tile and counters through Nelson Tile because of Molly’s expertise and understanding of what I needed, how to create the right look, and which products to select. She’s amazing! I highly recommend her - especially if you are doing new construction and are overwhelmed with all the choices you have to make!!!

We just remodeled three bathrooms, adding new counters and sinks to two of them, and adding new counter, sinks and also remodeling the shower in our master bathroom.Molly Duncan-Wirges was our contact at Nelson tile and Stone, and she did a marvelous job. Chris did a phenomenal job of transforming my counters in my kitchen. He had a spectacular couple of granite slabs that he picked to match my cabinets etc. and it turned out absolutely stunning. And, they started demolishing my old tile countertops about 8:30AM and had the new counters and island done, with a new sink installed too, by 2:00PM the same day. And he had a great idea about making the island surface curve out to mirror the archways in the room.

This is a long over due review. About a year ago we had a remodel done at our home. It was done while we were away. Several contractors left awful mess, left out promised work etc etc. Not so for Nelson Tile. They did exquisite work, went out of their way and above and beyond to stay in touch and be helpful and find difficult to find material at reasonable cost. Execution and workmanship was perfect. A couple things got forgotten when were not there to check, but as soon as they found out they went out of their way to fix,finish, and even get subcontractors to come in within day or so. We would gladly shop from them, use their services etc and have and will recommend to friends.

We support local business but Nelson Tile gives local a bad name. Typically superb customer service from local stores help persuade home owners to bypass big box stores providing the same services with lower prices. From the get-go we should have seen the warning signs but still pushed on with our project determined to support a local business.To start we ordered mudroom tile and the wrong color was ordered pushing us back another week.Countertops, after finally picking one (an overwhelming process in general with all the choices) we got on their installation schedule which was 2 months out – pretty normal. We coordinated our kitchen remodel accordingly. The day before the countertop installation we got a call from Nelson advising us the quartz we chose did not come in a big enough piece to fit our island. Their program had the wrong dimensions of the quartz slab. We were left with two options; Pick an entirely different countertop and wait another 2 months or try to find something they already had in stock big enough for our island (which is a standard island size, nothing out of the ordinary). In a desperate attempt to keep our kitchen remodel on schedule we ended up finding a plain white piece that didn’t clash horribly with the perimeter quartz. Nelson did offer to miter the edges to give it a thicker look. The countertops look good but not what we originally hoped for and now we are stuck with countertops we were rushed in to choosing all because of their error.Back-splash, we originally wanted Nelson to install the back-splash as well but found their quote absurd. Nevertheless, we still ordered tile from them and even ordered extra because at the time we thought we might match the back-splash with our fireplace surround. They assured us we could always return unused tile if we decided to go with a different tile. At the end of our project we did decide to use a different tile around the fireplace. Not only did they not take back our unused, still taped and packaged tile the Nelson employees denied ever saying we could bring it back for a refund. We were told they would talk to the store manager of the tile and have yet to hear back, it has been over a month.Needless to say, if you are determined (like we are) to support local GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Very friendly and helpful when we were picking out tile! So thankful for that. But when the we started to install the tile and materials, they under estimated the tile we needed pushed out the job back weeks. Recommend the wrong size sinks for our bathrooms and very hard to reach via phone when we needed to communicate.

Nelson’s Tile and Stone are awesome, my kitchen looks amazing! Leland went above and beyond helping me plan my “dream kitchen”. He had so many options and gave me a tour of the stone yard to help me finalize my counter choice, as well as the process in which they cut your counter. I ran into a problem during the demolition of the counters. Luckily, Chris fixed it in a jiffy and they didn’t even charge me for the additional time it took them for the removal of the remaining counter. They had a plumber scheduled the same day the sink was installed, everything was done in record time! I am in heaven with my updated kitchen thanks to everyone’s hard work. Thank you!!

Nelson Tile and Stone were professional and easy to work with from start to finish. This was our first remodel, so we were very apprehensive and picky. Molly listened to our ideas and found amazing options to choose from that fit our style and budget. Her eye for style is spot on. She helped us choose materials that complemented each other for floors, countertops and shower. I even shopped around with other local tile stores and came back to Nelson. So happy I found the best!

We ordered tile through Nelsons. The staff couldnt have been more helpful. They communicated with us all through the process, gave us a bit of a discount which we didnt expect, and was prompt with delivery. I highly recommend them. Other reviewer mentioned a Princess. I asked and there has never been anyone by that name there. They must be talking about another store.

Went to Nelsons looking for tile and someone to lay it, found tile we liked and Princes who was helping us said so and so would call us come out, after a week no call, the next week and the following week I called 3 times never was able to speak to Princess and didnt receive a call back.That little 4x4 tile turned into a slate floor and a master bath tile remodel.I would guess that addatude would carry through of the entire project. 5.23.18, Up date, what i stated in my review was 100% correct, person that greeted us at the front door called herself PRINCES and said she signs the checks around there. I did not want 4 inch titles we had a small job that was 4ft x 4ft. I not have any idea my Im not in your data/files and dont care.

I recently used Nelson Tile to redo my guest bathroom. I worked with Molly and she was fantatic. She was very knowledgable about all products and had wonderful ideas.
