Walking into this store to do car work for my daughter with an 9:00 appointment when I read a sign on the door that read no power from 9 to11 today. Brandt, the manager, even after dealing with a more insistent customer ahead of me never got upset or lost his cool. He was friendly and helpful and even smiled while trying to explain that he would do the best he could for us as soon as he was able. This kind of service is what I enjoy seeing when life throws hardballs. He continued his job even though difficult with a smile. Thank you Brandt.
I dropped it off and early and I know I had trouble but they called in mid morning to let me understand what was up. It is getting older but still a good car. They fixed it up and I have a year warranty. They showed me the pictures and had to run 25 of brake line. So now we should be with all braked for some time.f

Came for engine oil change. Mechanic, instead of engine oil started to drain out transmission oil. I was told that the transmission oil will be added, but I have no idea what kind of oil was added and how much. Now, I have to go to Subaru dealer to change the transmission oil. thanks Midas for great job.
The manager at this location was very informative and gave me exactly what I wanted without over charging me, even gave me a good deal! 10/10 recommend.
THEY HAD MY CAR FOR 4 DAYS AND NEVER CALLED ME BACK TO LET ME KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH IT. I HAD TO CALL THEM. MY DOOR AND HOOD WERE LEFT UNLOCKED. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR THERE AGAIN WITH THIS NEW MANAGEMENT!!! I ALSO WAS LEFT SITTING IN LOBBY FOR 10 OR 15 MINUTES WITH NO ONE BEHIND THE COUNTER. I HAD TO STAND UP IN FRONT OF GLASS WINDOW TO LET MY PRESENCE BE KNOWN. THUMBS DOWN AND 2 STARS!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!
The people at the desk were great, and everyone was friendly; I have no issues in that regard at all. However, the pricing is outrageous enough that my family members were berating me for being so badly taken advantage of. For two $35 dollar parts, I was charged $84 each. Most of the time spent waiting was waiting for the part to arrive, not the mechanic doing actual labor, which makes the $231 labor charge for fixing something super simple a tad ridiculous. I never write reviews, but after looking at this bill and calling the store to inquire about it (and being told ‘it’s a mark up, it’s what all shops do’) I felt the need to share my experience. I’m left in tears feeling wholly taken advantage of, so I wish they’d make it right. I understand a markup, as of course a business needs to make money, but a ten minute job shouldn’t warrant $231 in labor charges. (The equivalent of nearly $1400 an hour!)
They were so nice! We are from out of town and our van broke down. First time traveling by myself with the kids without my husband with us due to work. They made my kids and me feel so wonderful.
I didnt have or see any problems. Seems as though the place has done well to right their wrongs.
David helped me out, and he was awesome. Not only was he professional, but he was courteous and considerate, as well. He even promised to at least do the research so as to provide quotes for me at a later time on issues going on with my vehicle that I was told by other auto companies just couldnt be fixed. The technicians not only took care of what I initially needed (the oil change) but they let me know what else had to be done that I was not aware of. That is a valuable quality for someone like me who knows next to nothing about cars and how to keep them running in good condition. And all of this was done ON A SATURDAY which, of course, can be difficult to find in my location. Well done, Midas. I feel that my money was well spent with you today.
They had my truck all day and didnt perform 3 of the 4 oil changes on my 4x4 Tahoe. I asked for full synthetic in engine, transfer case and both differential units. They called and said I needed a universal joint which I agreed to have replaced just to be told an hour later that I now needed a driveshaft because the universal joint wouldnt go in. I installed a new universal joint myself because I wasnt getting ripped off. Nothing was wrong with my driveshaft. Universal joint went right in as supposed to. Was told there was no point in changing fluid in my differential units or transfer case because of the universal joint. That place is a joke. Im glad they didnt get to anything else. Probably would have messed that up as well. Here is a picture of the universal joint I installed on a driveshaft they said was not only damaged but aluminum

Ive been coming here for 10 years, and never have they tried to push sales on me. Im a woman and dont know much about vehicles so am prime target at most places. But the guys always show/teach me things about maintenance or when something is wrong the best way to handle it financially. They are the best!

This was my go-to in the area, but none of the staff are wearing masks. I called to inquire about it after a brief visit, and they said that although mandated by the state, their staff has opted against masks. So, I went next door to Sparkle and had a great experience there!

My car was making an ungodly squealing noise in the front. I took my car here because they were open and could get me in right away. They told me that I needed a new turbocharger and that it would cost $2,000 to replace it. I told them okay because I need my car.I get my car back the next day and they charged me over $500 more than the estimate. I drive off of the lot and make it less than five minutes down the road. My car is misfiring and smoking. I called about this issue and they told me that this was normal for a new turbocharger. I did not believe them and requested that my car is checked out. Eventually, they agree to come and take a look at my car. I get him to test drive it and the check engine light comes on. At this point, I am upset. The store manager, Frank, says he will only charge me for the parts and not the labor, which in Michigan is illegal. They take the car back and inspect the part. The turbocharger had loose bolts and the stabilizing rod was too long. The turbocharger had been installed with errors and broke two other parts. They were going to send it to the dealer but when I called the dealer, I found out that Midas said they would not bring it. They fixed the parts to only have the turbocharger fail. It failed because they did properly change the oil while fixing the turbocharger. They did pay for me to have a rental car after I asked about it.I was able to get my car back after a week and a lot of calls to customer service. They did not show me any of my parts or give me a detailed invoice. They did fix their first mistake for free after corporate became involved.The day after I get my car back I notice a burning smell. I called corporate and Tim came and checked it. He was very informative and nice. He assured me nothing was wrong with the car.Today, about a week after the fix, my car is misfiring again and the check engine light is on, just like Midas fixed it the first time.

I hit some debris on the road while driving through the area on I-94 and called to see if they could help. The guys here were super helpful and fixed my car in five minutes, and didn’t even charge me anything. I was so thankful because I couldn’t have gotten home that evening otherwise. I would definitely come back for future repairs!

My water pump went out in my F150. The Ford dealership doesn’t service vehicles on Saturdays. I brought it over to Midas and they changed it out in 2 hours. Highly recommended!!

Beyond helpful today. Brake line broke and were stranded 3 hours away on the start of our vacation. Shauna told us to stop by and they would see what they could do for us. As soon as I arrived mechanics checked out my truck. After finding the problems they told us they could get it done before the end of the day. In the meantime the store manager offered to take is to the beach while it was being worked on. When it was almost done one of the mechanics picked us up and brought us back. All the mechanics collaborated to help get us back to our vacation in no time. They showed great customer service, respect, and generosity. I would highly recommend this place. Truck has ran the smoothest since Ive had it. Great work, we appreciate it!
Ive only dealt with so many people in the mechanic industry as Ive been pretty lucky to not have to many issues. But even before he started at Midas, did I already have a good relationship with Frank Battista, via his own shop. Midas is sure lucky to have him and they are also Benton Harbors most reputable service guys bar none, tbh. Dont hesitate to give them your business, and thank me later.
So I was heading to Chicago from Detroit in my 99 tahoe when I blew a bearing doing about 80 on I94 which was a scary experience I might add but it was a late afternoon on a Saturday and I called the midas on 139 n. They got me right in and I gotta admit it was a chance I had to take and they restored my confidence in todays garage work. It was pricey but I was able to get back on the road in a couple hrs. Thanks to those guys I was able to get my daughter our pet dog and my truck home that same day.. may they all have a blessed year.. thank you fellas. And theyre all dog lovers....Gotta send a shout out to Jeffs towing for getting my truck there quick..cool driver too...
My car sat there for 2 hours. They replaced shocks that took less than 10 minutes to replace. I got charged 2 hours of labor.

Awesome service...I highly recommend this shop!! Linda took amazing care of us late in the day when most people would have checked out mentally and been ready to go home. They knew we were on our way from Northern Michigan back home to Indianapolis and could have gouged us big time, but they did not. Excellent service and great prices. Iv been getting work done on my car here for some time. I have seen multiple managers in and out but this last experience was by far the best. Last time i was in the manager at the time was a older man by the name of Neal, he was rather rude and seemed kinda pushy on some stuff. This last time i caught wind that he was no longer with the company and the new manager is named Austin. He took amazing care of me, we were in and out in a very timely manor. He did tell me what my car needed but wasnt pushy like i was at a car lot looking for a new vehicle. Didnt have the time to get the work done at that time but i am most defiantly going to be back to get the work done soon. was the best visit i have ever had. Id recommend anybody to this location for reliable and honest work.
After my rear brake line failed late Sat afternoon, and I was traveling out of state, I called Midas and they were friendly and efficient, got me hooked up with LYFT to a get back where I was staying. Mon. am they got brake lines replaced, took me to return my rental car, and we were back on the road by noon Mon. Very satisfied with their service and would use them again and recommend them highly.

I have never felt more comfortable in an auto shop as I do at Midas. Its the only place Ive ever gone where they take you into the shop and show you what it is they are telling you is up with your car. The ladys behind the counter know what they are talking about and the guys out back know what they are doing! Great service and great people....Wont take my vehicles anywhere else!
Great service! Fixed an issue I had caused by a visit to another shop out of state.I’ve gotten a few oil changes here and they always do a great job. I was out of state when my oil change light came on last weekend, so I ended up going somewhere else. Unfortunately, the place I went didn’t properly screw in my splash shield over the engine after they finished. I went to the Benton Harbor Midas after I noticed the shield was bent and dragging on the ground a few days later.Not only did they fix the issue (caused by a visit to one of their competitors) within a few minutes, but they did it for free! From now on, I’ll only ever get my oil changed here.

THIS PLACE HAS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE SERVICE. First I take my work van to get looked at to get my A/C fixed. So they tell me it’s not a huge problem then turn around and tell me they spoke took soon. So after that I had to wait a few days for a part so I take it back and they still couldn’t fix it. I get told that they need another part because it’s an electrical issue and they’ll call me when the part gets in on Monday 7/8 and they never called. So I called them and they told me they knew nothing about a freaking part and they’ll call me back. Today is Wednesday 7/10 and it’s supposed to be 91 degrees and I’m still with no A/C in my work van. This place is unorganized and service is terrible I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!!!!!

They charged me 150% Commission on the parts that they got and overlapped & tripled my labor. I had a very inexpensive part brake on my vehicle in the middle of a road trip.I own an automotive repair facility and I understand the need for an upcharge on parts to make commission $ so we can stay in business but this repair shop absolutely took advantage of me when I was vulnerable and Im sure they do to everyone else.They charged me $70 for a serpentine belt that cost under $20 and also charged me $115 labor to change a belt that took not even 20 minutes.They also tried to guilt me into having them do other unnecessary repairs and argued with me about them and also lied telling me I was unsafe for not wanting to do them. The unnecessary repair was them telling me I needed a tune-up little did they know I just did a full tune up three weeks ago. Its unfortunate I didnt have my tool bag in my vehicle I would have fixed it myself. I highly do not recommend this facility they take advantage and basically will rob you.

Was stranded in Benton Harbor and needed to get home because my daughter was in labor and having our first grand child. So i stopped at Midas to see if there was anything they could do for me. Professional service with technicians who are willing to show you the areas of your car that need attention now and those areas that can wait. They are also aware that people work for a living so they cannot just drop a bunch of cash on their car. Their estimates are a bit higher, but one is paying for the Midas quality and nationwide guarantee on their work.
Had an unpleasant experience the first time in. But management, specifically Austin, made an effort to make up for that experience. He went out of his way to apologize and even fixed another part of the car on the house! Also the crew, Nick in particular, always do a great job everytime we have to get work done. I really appreciate their awesome service and will recommend them to people in the future.

I was skeptical at first, but this Midas was very helpful, friendly, and timely. They replaced a broken pipe underneath my car in less than an hour. Ive gone twice for maintenance checks and oil changes, and the employees gave me genuine advice about what they thought I should do. They have been overall content experiences, and I trust the workers who work on my car because of it.

MISDIAGNOSED MY CAR! After my car broke down on the road, I took it to this place and they did an exam, told me that we have a leaky radiator, and that 2 hoses need to be replaced as well. Said the cost will be around $1300, but it turned out that the radiator was totaly fine and did not need replacement. Also their prices on the parts where like 5 times higher than we ordered on a auto parts website, so I would totally NOT recommend this place!

Very unhappy, although they are polite, I feel cheated. I just don’t think I’ll go back to them. I’ve taken my there for several years and each time I feel as though they think they are getting over. First my break pads lifetime warranty. Warranty for what, they never want to change them, even after the dealer says they need it. Then finally when they do it, it needs way more than what the dealer says. Smh!, then they give my husband a card for free oil change and tire rotation, and when I take it they don’t rotate the tires and they just added oil and over filled it but did not changed it. Just wanted you all to know that enough is enough.
My bill started at $298 for a fuel pump somehow when they finished my bill was $697 even though they admitted they miscalculated the job

They are willing to help with anything I just went there Saturday n made an appointment early monday morning at 730 most places dont open til later. They worked with me on how much money I can spend and what I needed to get done. Frank is a really good at his job, verrrrrrry helpful. You might think its pricey but no car is cheap. I decided to check on my 2001 GMC Sierra at Midas in Benton Harbor MI😂👊😠I called Midas, told them why I was calling and was put on hold, ok..20 minutes later jokingly i say i bet i can drive up there and give them a piece of my mind before I am off hold. so I do.I get to Midas still on hold 30 minutes now, walk in, the manager asks me can I help you?Me: Yes, actually I have been on hold over 30 minutes, see(as I show her my phone and Im still on hold)Her: Really, let me see. She picks up the phone and says helloMe: Yeah its meHer: Wow, sorry about that. Give me a few minutes and I will be with you.Me: Sure, i have already been waiting over 30 minutes. I have a LOT of patience, but this is beyond a horrible experience, I dont have time or anymore patience to deal with this. I just knew something was wrong with my van which there was and Adam and Brandon were great to explain and took care of the problem and they were so nice .I know if I have another issue with my van I know where to go .

Ive been going to Midas for service on my vechicals for years now and I have always experienced great service. Friendly welcome every time I call and walk in. Comfortable environment as I wait for my vechicals. Fast and efficient use of my time and thiers. Never had a problem with the work thats been done. (Knock on wood) I still recommend them to anyone that needs a quick oil change.

I have waited exactly 2 hours to get my oil change done, i had appointment made ahead of time, every time they give enormous estimate of issue with car, and they don’t even match from first time to 2nd, only reason i was going there was getting coupon, but now i feel its not worth it.
Ive never written a review before, but my experience was so bad I felt like I had to. So I needed a new compressor because mine had broken, and when I went to Midas, they said they would call me later that day with an estimate. They didnt. After a few days, I gave them a call, and they said they would call me back later that day. They didnt. I called again a few days later, and they said they would call me back later that day. They didnt. So at this point Im already getting pretty mad.Finally a few days later I called again, and the manager told me to come in on Tuesday at 7:15 AM, even though they dont open until 8 AM. They said I could drop off my car, they would drive me to work, and then they would pick me up from work once they had put in my new compressor. I was very impressed by that gesture. I mean it had taken two weeks to get to that point, but still. So, I got there at 7:15 AM. No one was there. I waited until 7:45 AM, and then finally someone showed up to open the store. That employee had no idea what I was talking about or what I was doing there, so they put me on the phone with the manager who I had talked to previously. The manager said, Oh yeah, Im at another store right now. Oh, and we dont even have your compressor in yet. Come back on Saturday. No heads up. No apology. I was absolutley shocked.So, I dropped of my car on Saturday. I got a call an hour in, and they told me that they had the wrong compressor. They said I had to come in the next Friday. At this point I am beyond frustrated, so I called the manager and asked what kind of discount they could offer me based on how horrible this experience had been. The manager said they could knock down the price from $1100 to $900. I said fine.So, I dropped off my car that next Friday, and about 30 minutes in, I get a call. They had the wrong compressor. Again. No joke. I had to wait an extra two hours while they tried to find one. Finally they did, but wouldnt you know it, they rescinded my discount and increased the price. My final bill was $1200. This whole process took more than a MONTH and they charged me more than what they said they would. I have never been treated with that level of disrespect from anyone. Ever. Not a single employee took any accountability, especially the manager. Terrible, terrible, terrible experience.

My wife took our car there on friday for what sounded like a exhaust problem. They were super nice to her and even asked her are you sure it is an exhaust problem because it does not sound like it. They never asked to test drive just put on the hoist They told us the problem was a pin hole in the exhaust and would cost 562 bucks. Ok fine I said since I can fix exhaust.Saturday I took my car in and they had it done in a hour. As soon as I drove it the problem was still there. So I went back and they say oh now that we have it up here again it is your wheel hub. I was furious and the assistant manager said well you wife said it was the exhaust. Which she did state but when they asked her if she was sure she said I dont know it is the noise underneath. I could not believe we were being blamed when we took it to them to find out the problem. Needless to say I am out 562 bucks for something that worked fine. Shauna was going to let me know what could be done but they could not get me in until at least monday. Have not heard back from them at all.I would never recommend them and encourage you to shop around as they are either just really bad or incompentent and blamed us for not telling them the problem when we took it to them to find out what the problem was in the first place! To make matters worse it is a 60 dollar part for the wheel hub which I can do myself. I feel like I was taken for alot of money!
