Dr. Hook and his staff are outstanding! Dr. Hook spends time trying to help you have the best vision you can. I highly recommend Hook Eye Care. Dr. Hook is completely “focused” on your eyes “focusing” the best they can. I’ve been going there for like 15 years or more. When I say, I think it’s ok this way, he says let’s see if we can make it better. If you don’t go there, you should. If I could give more stars, I would.

I dont often write reviews, but I feel compelled to compliment the excellent service I received during my visit today. I called needing a last-minute appointment (at the end of the month during the holiday season). The front desk assistant was exceptionally kind and warm and she made me feel very welcome. Dr. Hook is the best eye doctor I have ever seen. Ive been wearing glasses and contacts for 15 years, and no other doctor has been as thorough with me. He explained the three aspects of astigmatism and used visual aids to help me understand why my vision isnt always 20/20 with contacts in. I cant believe Ive gone this long not understanding a concept so crucial to my ocular health. Dr. Hook took the time to discuss the benefits of single-use contacts with me (after I informed him I was looking to switch from monthly lenses), and sent me home with a weeks trial of a brand he had on hand. He is ordering samples of other brands and will see me again next week for a follow-up consultation at no extra charge. He assured me he would give me as many consultations as I needed to get my vision as close to perfection as possible.Long story short, Dr. Hook took the time to give me the best appointment possible when he could have easily rushed through - I wouldnt have known the difference. He is personable and extremely bright. Do your eyes a favor and visit him!

Love this place! Found it because another doctor couldn’t get me in. Super friendly doctor and staff. Sheila spent a lot of time helping me with finding the right frames for my high prescription. The front desk receptionist, Amy, helped me figure out my insurance and was patient with my questions. The doctor went through many different brands of contacts with me and didn’t push me towards any certain brand but gave me the relevant knowledge that I needed to make a decision. Everyone there is personable and seems to care about helping patients. They also seem to care about the community, there was an entire bulletin board dedicated to giving back.

So I was a New Customer to this clinic. Had an appointment scheduled at 9am and their website Stated they open at 9am and the lady I scheduled with said they opened at 9am. Will since it is the Pandemic I had to call in before going inside. Arrived at 9am called lady to confirm Im there at 9am. Told me since I didnt have my paperwork done prior to my apt we have to reschedule. Ok? Its just paper work, I shouldnt have to reschedule due to just documents. The admin(she) said we have someone at 9:15am already so u need to be rescheduled. I dont really get worked up about these things but never did I have to reschedule for not having my documents filled out prior to any apts. I advised her that their website stated they open at 9am and the last time I called they didnt open untill 9am. Anyways, let me just say as A new customer with no prior documents filled out dont book these earlier apts because they will just waste your time and reschedule you. Wasted my time driving there and my time writing this no good view and my two weeks for an eye exam. This is my first time experience this. Thanks for the experience though. Not recommend for morning booking apts.

The doctor is AMAZING, love his good work and appreciation for his own work. Easy to talk to as, honest, and nice. He definitely carries this business.Those receptionists, very friendly but I really wanted to pick out my own frames. Not be led around and put into a range of what I should pick(what I was most excited about, she kind of took the fun out of!). My partner did not like how they spoke to us, but I didnt notice so much. Extremely helpful and everyone here is super knowledgable about what they are doing.The office they are currently in is super gorgeous! So pristine and spacious! I definitely will be coming back to Hook from now on.

Dr. Hook is great! Very friendly and he does not rush to get your eye check up. Ive gone other places before and they rush you in and out just to make a buck. By far the best optometrist around!!!

Dr. Hook has been the most accomodating and professional Doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. We have used Hook Eye Care when we have had full coverage and even when we have had to pay out of pocket. He really cares about our vision and I highly recommend his services because he is very thorough. Get your eyes checked regularly.

I really appreciate Dr Hooks undivided attention during my appointments. He does not rush and he is very good to explain things in terms that I can understand and remember. I have a condition on my cornea and he has been very helpful in teaching me things I can do for preventive care to avoid flare ups. When I call to make an appointment they can almost always get me in soon, unless he is out on mission trip. I have had nothing but excellent service from Dr Hook and his staff.

I have been seeing Dr Hook for several years and I always feel his undivided attention during my eye exams, I feel he worked very hard to make sure that I was satisfied and comfortable with my eye contacts prescription. I highly recommend him!

This has been a terrible experience. I have had a lot of medical issues with my child over the past year and my health (on every level) naturally has been pushed to the back burner so to speak... he got mad at me and was very visibly angry (not professional at all) they are my eyes. Then after saying that my eyes didnt look that bad surprisingly deceived that he would prescribe me an antibiotic drop. ($85) and then needed to see me back in a couple days... they never explained that this visit would not be covered by my insurance... so I show up today and he sees me for less than 15mins and I go to get my next appt and he tells her to bill me under medical... so they charged me $45 MORE for the lil check up. I would NOT have gone to that appointment had I known it was going to cost me more... and then... when I walked back in after bawling my Eyes out in my car.. I asked if he was going to charge me again for my next check up that he told me he wants to do in a week.. well of course he is... and I heard him say rudely to his rude receptionist well Im sorry but she should have taken better care of her eyes I fully feel like he is charging me as a punishment for me not taking good care of myself agreed I should have but it is MY life and MY EYES. And he doesnt have a clue what the past year has been like for us... I just have to say Im thoroughly disgusted by his treatment and attitude.
