My grandfather goes there all the time and they are always so kind to him, and there meat is always fresh and reasonably priced.

The shopkeepers were friendly and meat looks good. It was a Arabic store but I got desi spices and parathas.

They have good variety but the owner and employees are not very friendly i asked him how he was doing didnt even bother asking me how i was doingI dont recommend this place to anybody you should go to next door they are more friendly.

This spot is my go to for halal meat. I have seen some questionable claims of halal in the Bay Area meat market but I have confidence in this store. I only wish they had hot links and beef bacon!They are also one of the few spots with a good coice in chutneys.The workers are really friendly, too. Today the owner (or manager?) stood over the car and kept an eye on my sleeping baby while my groceries were rung up. Thats the kind of thing youd hope to see from a Muslim business.

It is a nice place. Family owned grocery store. Friendly staff, reasonable price.Fresh HALAL meat. They provide chicken, turkey, lamb, goat, and beef. Organic meat is available, too.I have been coming to this store for many years after once I bought meat here, then I stopped shopping meat from any other stores.Fresh pita bread is provided on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.I highly recommend it.

I am a great supporter of small businesses. I love this ethnic market. Great & personable. It is well located in the heart of Berkeley & close to the freeway 80. There are some things that I can usually only find in this market.Specialties:Olives, Turkish Honey with 10 different kinds of nuts ( good for an oat meal), organic raw honey from Brazil, lentils, frozen kebabs and breads, variety of yogurts & Cheese, great prices on olive oil, meat counter offers great prices on meat & so much more. Meat is fresh, organic and clean. Meat Counter does not smell at all. It is a small but very clean store with variety. Not a lot of produce but what they had looked good and prices were nice. They should start carrying fresh produce.I highly recommend it. Folks are very friendly and polite, Inshahallah:)

Best halal store in the area. They are well stocked with groceries as well as fresh organic meat. Nice people especially the butcher Zakaria. The workers are part of the community and make customers feel like at home.
