I love this little shop support it it is family run.
Overpriced and the items are hit or miss. Somedays you’ll find what you need, somedays you wont. I bought 2 curry leaves packs, 4pk of Maggi and 0.9lbs of Paneer for 18$!!! And they don’t even give you a receipt. That’s atrocious, even for Berkeley. I only go here when I have no other options. Sadly, none of the other Indian stores are open late around here.
Staff is helpful. But charges you $0.5 if you shop for
Kind of a weird mix of an American convenience store with indian spices in the back. Some shelves were empty and it was not well organized. The selection is pretty limited, they have dal/rice/some spices but no pickle, or snacks.
So expensive. Even more expensive than whole foods. 6 dollars for a dozen eggs is a joke! Will not come here for most of my grocery, just would stop by if I need 1 or 2 items.
Kathmandu makes all of my mini mart dreams come true.
Support local businesses !! This family run convenience store is my go-to whenever I run out of food/drink. The owners are absolutely amazing and so devoted to the community. Thank you for your great service!
Katmandu is not only an amazing multi-purpose corner / neighborhood store, but the family that owns/runs it are just lovely. Always leave with a smile because they are so damn cool!
Bruh
Good food, but tonight, they filled my to (2( $10 to go plates up with the bread.I asked for 2 orders with chicken Marsala & a variety of vegetable sides - when I got home, I found that I had Marsala & one vege - all of the rest bread.I had a better experience in the past, hoping it was due to an inexperienced employee, I will certainly ask why next time I go.
The workers here are amazing
Theyre good for a quick bite or snack.
FANTASTIC beer selection. They also sell Indian food, which I have yet to try but looks promising? I think? Open late - midnight, 1 am on Friday Saturday. Great little Telegraph Ave store.
Unprofessional store - rude front desk clerk - always speaking rudely - the lady doesn’t care - speaking arrogantly and intimidatinglyOrdered food through app, they did not charge up their laptop so didn’t receive the order and refused to serve me until I paid out of pocket
Great service and friendly staff
They have nice customer service. if you want to buy Nepali product they you must go there though price is little higher than others.
Very friendly family owned market. Always has what I need in a pinch and willing to order products you want. Good spice selection.
Very nice people that own and are always nice and kind to their customers i enjoy going shopping inside Kathmandu market on Telegraph Avenue
A nice mom and pop grocery with an impressive beer selection. The people are nice and you can find the usual minimart fare in addition to some less usual items.
They dont have wide range of groceries and is costly when compared to other Indian grocery stores as well
Nice staff, but Chicken Tikka Masala was way overpriced with only TWO pieces of chicken! Would not recommend their food.
They legit dedicated a whole row in a fridge to Four Lokos after my friend wanted a larger variety of flavors. That’s customer care.
Melted refrozen ice cream.Got ripped off non-sellable spoiled products.
Family run place with another adjacent shop right next door. They also have their own restaurant on Solano in Ashby. This shop caters to students living on a budget by themselves. Set-up is clean and immaculate with produce in front and deli counter. The rest of place is just household and grocery goods with indoor ATM. As of now theyre serving up traditional Napalese hot plate, wraps and their famous golf ball size momos (family recipe).
Nothing Nepalese. All Indian spices and groceries. Why do you name it Kathmandu??
Great Customer Service! 👍
