In April, when I had to order gas quickly, it started out as a hassle. Bonnie stepped in and saved the day. She was super courteous and the delivery driver even came in and helped me relight my water heater. Thanks so much. A special shout out to Bonnie!
Run, don’t walk away from this gas company as quick as you can! We called them Tuesday 2/16 that our tank was almost empty, which is totally our fault. They told us they couldn’t deliver any propane until the following Wednesday, 2/24. When nobody showed up, my husband called and they said it would Friday, 2/26. Nobody showed up, my husband called they said it would be the next day, Saturday, 2/27. Nobody showed up. Sunday, 2/28, shortly before noon, my husband heard a back-up alarm and went to look out the front window and yelled to me “they’re here”. They never even tried to knock on the door or ring our bell. I grabbed the key to the gate lock and ran outside. I could see the hose on the ground at the front corner of my house. The gas man was pulling the hose pretty fast back to the truck. I’ve seen them pull the hose before and it was never that fast. I ran to the gate frantically trying to unlock the gate while I’m yelling and screaming for the man to stop. He was loading the hose onto the truck so fast like he was running a race! I ran to the back door and stuck my head in and yelled to my husband “he’s leaving” then turned my head to look back out front and the driver SPED out of our driveway. My husband immediately grabbed his keys and ran out to go after him, but he couldn’t catch up or find the gas truck; that’s how fast he was driving away. If the driver had been driving the speed limit of 40 mph, I believe my husband would have easily been able to catch up. We called first thing Monday morning 3/1 and spoke to somebody in another state (we can’t even speak to the local office in our town apparently and she said she would talk to the local office but to schedule a new deliveryit will probably be a week, 3/8 before we can get a delivery. My husband asked her about why they didn’t ring the bell and she said they don’t do that. The only time they ring the bell is if you have a note on your account that request to have you doorbell rung. What?! That doesn’t even make ANY sense! I could understand not wanting your doorbell to be rung, but it should just be common courtesy to ring a doorbell. And it’s just not true. They’ve rung our doorbell before when they delivered gas to us last year. They’ve even called us before. We immediately called another company and made arrangements for a new provider. Ferrell Gas called back and said they could deliver today, 3/2 and we told them to just cancel bc we made other arrangements with another company. At this point, they cannot be trusted and I don’t believe what they say, anyway. As you can read here, there’s pretty much nothing this company won’t lie about and go read the reviews about them on BBB (Better Business Bureau) website. It makes for very interesting reading.
If you are in the Bessemer area and want propane to heat with find you a different propane company I bought 200 gallons on January 8th of this year tank is empty and they told me to pretty much freeze to death cause they don’t won’t to bring out what I paid for til January the 19th they want there money up front but I bet they when this tank goes empty again I’ll start filling a 100 lbs tank at ace and Ferrell gas company can kma💋(_x_)
I placed an order on Feb. 1 when my tank registered 10%, the low temp that morning was 30 degrees. The delivery finally was made the following Friday. The customer service rep. That I dealt with was very rude and was giggling and laughing with a fellow employee.
Called 4 days ago Paid for gas $$$ Still have not received any. Tank is at 10% and I had to shut down the system. ###!!!
Wanted to give zero stars but my mom has called every day and asked every about her house and they said five business days. She paid a promotional prorated price at the beginning of the year and they must be trying to get all they can first from people who didnt do this. They dont care about the individual and havent came even after saying she was on the list today. Just another greedy corporation who doesnt care about the customer. It has been over 5 business days and still no one came out.
Best propane company that I have ever dealt with
I purchased 200 gallons of fuel. Their delivery driver turned the valve off on my tank. Now that the tank is turned back on, the valve leaks. Ferrell has will not repair it ( I’m in no way expecting a free repair) until the tank is empty. They will not pump out a non leased tank. My choice is to leave it off and have no heat or lease a tank from them and repurchase more gas and just leave the old tank full on my property. Or, I can turn it on and allow it to leak and hope there is no fire or explosions. Thanks Ferrell for such crappy customer service.
