Alex was amazing to work with. He quickly diagnosed the issues with the car and put together a repair plan. He got the parts the next day and had my car ready quickly. Price was reasonable. Communication was superb. And Alex followed up multiple times to make sure the car was running smoothly. Cannot recommend more highly. The service was exceptional.

This guy quoted me$1650 just to get my brakes done on a 2013 ford fiesta... Give me a break. I had the work done elsewhere for a price thats reasonable for this planet.

Brought our car in for repairs and in the process the car was found to be completely dead. Rather than charge me for the work done they didnt charge me at all. 100% RECOMMEND this shop. Going anywhere else would be doing yourself a disservice.

Alex and the rest of the Metro Motor team saved my car. My car had a terrible misfire that resulted in my car shaking violently to the point I did not feel comfortable driving it. Before taking my car to Metro Motor, I had taken my car to the dealership and twice to another shop--no one could identify, nonetheless fix, the issue, but the other places certainly charged me for it. When I called Metro Motor and explained my issue, Alex said he was very comfortable with electrical issues and that he would have the car fixed in 2 days. Sure enough, he and the rest of the crew hit it out of the park. My car does not shake anymore, and they got it right the first time-no games, no guessing about what was wrong. I will be driving the 20 extra minutes to take my car back to Metro Motor if I ever have any other car issues. These guys are the real deal. Thanks a lot!

If you’re looking for a honest car mechanic Ricardo is your guy. He has saved me lots of money on my car repairs for years. I found him at the Metro Motor location in Arlington. I was recently informed of his promotion which does not surprise me. He offers the best customer service that I have experienced in a auto repair shop. He is honest and very dedicated to what he does.

Extraordinary service. I had to make a sudden emergency trip and asked Alex if he could check out my Phantom before hand. Even tho he was quite busy he told me to bring car in at 8. He went over everything, took a test drive and called me within 2 hrs, car ready. Then when the flat tire indicator came on, I called Alex and he drove to me on the side of the road -- about 15 miles or so and fixed the problem. And he would not take any payment. Finally, a few days after I got back from my trip he called to ask if everything was ok with the car. I have never seen such extraordinary service or personal attention.

These people really know and love cars, especially older ones. Took my 2004 Jaguar there for a trouble light and they quickly diagnosed and repaired a faulty oxygen sensor. Took my wifes car for an oil change and lube and it actually ran smoother afterwards. Their prices are not the cheapest, but are reasonable, particularly for more difficult diagnostic issues and repairs. They are honest, and tell you what the problem is and your options.

River Road Auto Haus is a great Bethesda resource. For the past two years, we have taken our Subarus there for routine maintenance and problems/repairs.. The quality both of work and customer service has been excellent.

I went for the first time to check my tire that was losing air after I had a really bad experience at another repair place. They were very professional, trustworthy and did the job. I will not go anywhere else now. Highly recommend!

Ricardo has been servicing 3 of my cars at Metro Motor Arlington for the past couple years and has always exceeded my expectations. His service is unmatched, and always does a fantastic job.I recently went in for an oil change and learned that he went to the River Road location in Bethesda. It’s a little more of a drive for me but for that kind of service it’s well worth the drive.

Alex at Metro Motors diagnosed the problem with the central locking mechanism and obtained a replacement vacuum pump which solved the problem and also cured a battery drain issue. My only slight complaint is that the used pump that was installed was more expensive than a rebuilt one could have been bought for. Overall, though, Alex is familiar with the older Mercedes models, of which I have several.

Went to just get air in my tires (was happening fairly frequently) and arrived after the shop closed. Paul (the manager) told me to pull my car round and helped me out. Told him about the frequency of my issue and he went out of his way to find a screw lodged in my back right tire. Subsequently fixed it with ease all while the shop was closed. This was the best experience with an auto shop in my life and one of the best customer experiences Ive had in any industry. I trusted Paul within minutes of talking to him because he was honest about everything - even other mechanics. Will take all my auto business to Paul and encourage everyone else to do the same!

This place does honest work and stands by it. I replaced my brakes/rotors with Paul and his crew (very professional and friendly) and had an issue a couple months later. They had no issue replacing it under warranty with no additional costs! I have to say that this place is a bit pricey but overall on par with every other place in the metro area. If you want a cheaper price then do it yourself or go out of the metro dc area. However, they do excellent honest work and is not matched with any other shop, so in my opinion definitely worth the extra bucks

Took my 8yo BMW for a series of suspension repairs. Price was fair, definitely much cheaper than the dealer quote. Also replaced breaks, oil change and break fluid. It was all done within the same day and for the quoted price. Paul is great and will walk you through what needs to be done right away and what can wait. Will continue to take my car here.

Good, honest guys. Got an oil change at a Midas and they told me I was going to need $1100 of work to repair an oil leak. Took it to these guys for a second opinion and they told me it was not nearly that severe, tightened my oil filter, and saved me some money. Recommended.

Generally it is OK but repairing all makes and models means you are not an expert on any specific model, something to consider.

First and foremost, I want to make it clear that everyone at Metro Motor is very friendly and very competent at servicing a car. I brought my Jeep in to have the socket on my driver’s side headlight replaced. They worked me in, had my part sent over, and had me out of there before the time that I requested which was a little bit of a squeeze. I very much appreciate these parts of my visit.The head mechanic pointed out that my oil was low and that I needed new brake fluid as well as a new air filter. This was also fine. I normally change my own oil and air filter, but since they were being so kind about getting my light fixed I felt like I should give them more business. When I received my bill it was approximately $468. I was in a rush and thought perhaps having the brake fluid changed was more expensive than I expected. I paid and left. Then upon looking over my bill I noticed some of the labor charges were crazy high. The most outrageous being $51 just for the labor to change my air filter (not including the part just to be clear). I called to ask about this, and discovered they charge $128 an hour for labor, which is quite high ($80 is the national average for repair shops, $102.5 for dealerships). My car arrived there to be worked on at 9:41, and I paid around 12:20. That’s 2 hour and 39 minutes give or take (approximately $339 in labor if it were worked on the entire time). My car was not worked on that entire time. As a matter of fact I know it wasn’t, I came back to the auto shop around 11:58 to check on the status, and it was out in the parking lot (I am not sure how long it was out there). I expected this. They said that they would take care of the work that they could do until the air filter and socket arrived. When the parts showed up they would move my car back into the garage, because it would take no time. After I returned, they did both things in about 10 min. The labor for my bill almost exactly added up to the entire length of time from when I arrived and left despite the fact my car was not worked on for that length of time... I personally feel that they took advantage of me with the labor costs. I don’t like to give bad reviews, and I particularly hate it when the quality of the work done for me was good, but this was unfair and way out of my budget. They are good mechanics if you don’t mind dropping a lot of money.

I was interested in buying a used car, and wanted a mechanic to take a look at the car to make sure there werent any huge unidentified problems. They were quick, and provided me with some items they noticed that I could (and did) use during my negotiation with the dealership.

I was driving through (from out of town) and The Service Manager Paul Blumenfeld squeezed me (and my Jeep) in on a hot and busy day and they were just awesome!

They are experts at what they do and are always prompt on answering the phone and returning calls. I have been working with them professionally and would highly recommend them to anyone!
