Omggg I’m a local and this was my first time ordering from here. I’m thoroughly impressed. My family enjoyed their meals (steak& sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, waffles and potatoes). The owners were really nice & accommodating. Definitely my new fav breakfast spot!

First I must apologize for not taking pictures of our wrap and BLT. They were too good and we were too hungry.Finding a small Mom & Pop shop on Main St is always a good thing. The customer service is outstanding. I would come here just to say hi and get a smile back from everyone behind the counter.We ordered a BLT on wheat and a Curry Chicken Salad Wrap. My Wifes Curry Chicken Salad Wrap was on point. She did the flavor was good and the chicken was cooked well. She would definitely get it again. The Wrap was fresh as well.My BLT was hitting. I could have used more mayo but that is just because I love mayo more than the average person. The bacon was flavorful but not too salty and cooked just right. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and the bread was really good and hearty. I found out about the Coco bread after my order was prepared, I would have loved to try it on that because I love, love, love Coco bread and can eat it anyway. Their Coco bread was so good. I ate it plain. On a breakfast sandwich it would be amazing!We both got a freshly made tea. My Wife got the Nanas Ginger Peach and I got the Nanas Ginger Mint. Both had amazing flavor and tasted fresh. A little sweet for our tastes straight so we needed to water it down, but if you like real down home sweet tea then you will enjoy them straight with no chaser :-)Overall 5 star experience from start to finish. They will even send you a text when your order is ready. I love this spot and look forward to many more taste adventures for our palletes.

I have visited this cafe a few times and I love it! The ambiance is so welcoming and vibrant. The staff is so friendly and warm. It is a small, cozy space with some art on the walls. I love that it is a locally black owned business that serves their community great food! Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are delicious, and their smoothies taste so natural. I would definitely recommend this spot for breakfast or when you’re grabbing something quick for lunch.

Absolutely phenomenal ❤️I haven’t tried anything that I haven’t fallen instantly in love with. The homemade lemonades by Nana to the delicious desserts which are all just bonuses to the made to order dishes. If your in the area definitely stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

The drinks are awesome, get the club sandwich its bigger than your head! Have gotten smoothies that are excellent as well. Great friendly staff with a family atmosphere. Only downside is that they are not open more for my club cravings.

Came in not knowing exactly what I wanted. “Nana” helped me to make what I ordered even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent.I got an iced latte, but they have a lunch menu and a nice variety of desserts.I would go again.

Went here for a coffee meeting with a friend. Wait staff was pleasant. The coffee (just the regular roast) was very smooth and honestly better than I expected. It did feel like they werent running the AC which is a bummer cause it was really humid out.

I enjoyed this little spot. If youre driving too fast you will miss it. Theres a very nice mother and daughter duo working here. I ordered a croissant, which was good and my watermelon ginger juice was sooo refreshing. But lemme tell you about the pecan pie!!! Listen, you need that in your life. There is a lot to offer on the menu and Im so sad I cant go during the week due to my work schedule. Ill definitely be returning.

We just ordered takeout from More Than Java Cafe. Weve lived in Laurel for years, and Ive been meaning to stop by for coffee for a while but just havent gotten around to it. Today, we ordered lunch, and we were NOT disappointed. I had the black bean and avocado wrap, and Eric ordered the hot dog. All I can say is, YUM! Who knew you could make a veggie wrap so delicious? We both really enjoyed our lunch and will be sure to return! Highly recommended!

The first thing you notice is how kind the employees are! This is a local, family owned, black owned, small business. And the food is great! We got a delicious breakfast here at a great value, considering the portions! I got an Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich with vegan sausage! Very tasty, very filling, and Im very happy they have vegan options!They have more vegan breakfast options as well such as a vegan breakfast bowl (vegan sausage, potatoes, and veggies) or a vegan waffle. Its awesome to have so many choices!We also got the French Toast and you get a very generous portion! Very moist and tasty. We also got a delicious, fresh berry smoothie! They have a very extensive menu, so we definitely want to come back and try more!

This is a nice cafe, carefully tucked away in Laurel, MD. This was my first visit to MTJC. I thought the food was fresh, prepared well and the portions were great. I had the curry chicken salad wrap and my husband had the seafood panini, which he enjoyed. The service was also great. Well definitely be back!!

Without a trace of exaggeration, I havent had a more pleasant experience at a coffee shop in my life. The staff were very pleasant, and the conversations we had were very natural and easy going. I ordered their hot drop coffee, and almond cake. They complemented each other very well and the almond cake was divine. You can not find this type of quality service and worthwhileexperience at your run-of-the-mill Starbucks down the street. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a nice, little Haven to drink coffee and just relax.

Tried this place a little bit ago and Im definitely going back~ I got an avocado bean wrap that was DIVINE.

Had a half smoke sausage sandwich. But half smoke was the size of hot dog. Atmosphere friendly, love it there.

Nice cozy Cafe on Main Street. Its not a huge space but they take advantage of all the real estate they have, it feels nice and full with decorations, art, snacks, and board games. Their coffee is wonderful, and they serve a good variety of food and desserts. Its a nice place to sit down, whether on a chair, couch, or bench. Seems like it makes an effort towards community involvement, with a community chalkboard and local art for sale. The bathroom is nice and clean, although its shared with a weird industrial sink. All in all nice use of the space, and good coffee.

This place was AMAZING! wonderful coffee, my English toffee was fantastic and just sweet enough to enjoy without creamer. Husband and I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and chicken wrap. Both were fresh and needed nothing extra! Daughter enjoyed a fresh big blueberry muffin. There are books to borrow for kids and beautiful local artwork featured on the walls. Owner and staff are polite and full of smiles and suggestions.

First visit here on 3/8/17! I was walking up not knowing that it was closing time. The door was being locked but fortunately I was welcomed in! The environment was friendly and welcoming even from the guests already engaging with each other. Enjoyed the green smoothie with my veggie wrap which was made specific to my desires! Couldnt have been more satisfied and will definitely be back when Im in the area!

I came in having heard about their famous sweet potato pie and left having experienced so much more! It really is a delightful environment with a super chill/positive vibe. Everyone there was so nice and friendly. Their coffee is outstanding and theres so much on the menu, too! Did I mention they cater? Wow!

My first experience was for a cup of coffee. After receiving such great customer service, I stated I would return within the near future. Well a week later I came across a post on their Instagram page of a Coco Bread/Sausage/Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich, this is a MUST TRY. Not to be judged, I also ordered the Jerk Chicken and Waffles, well that too was a culinary delight. The spices and sweetness work well together. On my third visit (this morning) I made sure to bring my Dad. We had a delicious croissant with chicken sausage/egg & cheese and a cup of coffee. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Tabitha, such a pleasant soul. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND More Than Java Cafe...

I keep trying to give this place another opportunity I have been there 3 times now and each time the same young girl is extremely rude. I came 30 minutes before closing and they refused to make me a grilled cheese because they were already “cleaned up”.

I had detailing to my car on Main Street and was told a Cafe was in the area. More Than Java Cafe is certainly a Diamond in the Rough! The atmosphere was very friendly and quaint and they had an abundance of choices for beverages and food! I ordered a hot chocolate and woman behind the counter (I believe was an owner) suggested her personal recipe: Hot Chocolate with White Chocolate and Vanilla syrup was absolutely DELICIOUS!I would patronize this cafe again and definitely share the location with family and friends!!!

Despite being located so close to our house, my husband and I had unfortunately never revealed the more than Java Cafe until the weekend of New Years. We took my mom and her boyfriend here for coffee and breakfast after a nice walk around Avalon Park. The coffees were hot and delicious. The croissant breakfast sandwiches were amazing! We will definitely be back soon, especially because we are very interested in trying the wine flavored ice creams that they sell.

The sweet potato pie...thingy is great....3rd time having it .. I totally recommend more sweet potatoes filling than the breaded crust...like a deep dish...the filling is just that good...the bread takes the savory taste away in my opinion... the cost is pricey - so give us a little more filling and you can have a customer for life...Please & Thank you!! More than Java Cafe is the best thing thats happened to Main Street since they opened in 2015. From there incredible customer service to their delicious menu options, there really is nothing bad I can think of when it comes to this coffee shop. The interior design is very quaint and intimate which makes it better than your average commercialized coffee spot. I hope they stay in business forever and open multiple locations all over the state!
